History
Life Before Red Lake Harry’s formative years were spent not 50 miles away from the Alaska/Canada border. Life 50 miles away from Alaska is rough. He lived in a place that was two steps above a Bear Grylls wilderness survival episode. He and his father had a house, running water, an electric generator and not much else. His father was an oil miner who worked in harsh conditions so he could make ends meet. However, despite the irregularity of his circumstances, they didn’t last very long into living memory. Around the age of six his father died in a workplace accident and Harry was shipped to his Uncle’s house in Philadelphia.
The shift from the stark wilderness to major city was a sharp one, and a transition not easily made. After graduating high school with above average (if not particularly notable) grades, Harry got away from the big city as quickly as he could. Harry became a police officer in the small town of Dutton and for a few years, everything seemed to work out. However, when the previous chief of police died, Harry found himself having creative differences with his replacement.
Deciding that it would be better to quit than be fired, he left his position of his own accord. However, that left him with no job and there were still bills to pay. Without planning to, Harry found himself becoming a Private Investigator. The work was familiar, he didn’t have a boss other than himself and there was a great deal more freedom of movement. Currently he is employed by the Walkers to discover the whereabouts of their daughter.
