Harry accepted the cup of coffee with a respectful nod. He probably could have done without another cup of joe, but what was he going to do? Not take free coffee? Sure his bloodstream was saturated with caffeine, and his bladder was soon to suffer the consequences of his folly, but to not accept such a gracious offer would be in poor taste. She was technically his employer, and it would be best to avoid making her feel offput in any way. That's what he told himself at least.

"I know this might feel like breaching the privacy of your daughter, and by extension yours, but I have a request." Harry took a sip of coffee before continuing further with his explanation. [color=slategray]"Would you allow me access to your daughter's room? I have reason to believe there might be evidence related to her disappearance located there."

"...I'll try to put everything back afterwards."[/color.] Harry wasn't sure how she would react to his request, but it would be a real bother if he was denied access to her room. He might have to try sneaking in at some point if that were the case. Not something he'd enjoy, but desperate times. Not that he was desperate. At least not yet.
Convenient time for a flashback?

Mali remembered that she was there to provide cover, she needed to act like she belonged there. Unless not belonging was part of the cover. Who knew what part she needed to act to keep things going. Might as well just keep acting naturally for the time being. She could bother with trying to fit a specific role tonight.

That said, acting to her natural inclinations at that moment meant turning down virtually every little thing offered to her, which wouldn't mesh well with the whole goal of "get pretty for tonight." People waiting on her and acting to her every whim was a foreign experience and went against her self image. She thought of herself as being a relatively independent person who took care of most things she needed done herself.

Mali figured she would just need to suck up her discontent of the way the social hierarchy was set up within the confines of the store and try to enjoy herself. She'd try to avoid being as much of a hassle as possible as well. The staff were probably better paid than she was (although that wasn't too difficult of a feat to accomplish), but they probably dealt with enough cunts on a daily basis that she didn't need to give them one more headache to tend.

Now the first thing she'd need was a dress for the party tonight, so it would need to be relatively formal, but it was never specified the exact level of formality needed, so something that could be a bit relaxed if she wanted it to be. But aside from finding something cute, she also ran into the ever present problem of making sure that whatever she picked would fit, or could be semi-easily adjusted to be so.

Anything with sleeves was immediately out. Either her arms wouldn't fit, or she'd end up accidentally ripping them. If she wanted sleeves on a dress, she'd need to custom order it beforehand. After a few minutes she found a dress she liked, but wasn't entirely sure how appropriate it would be.

"How about this one," she asked Zoie, walking right up to the dress to get a closer look. "Is it too much?" She meant it in the sense of being too revealing as opposed to financial burden. It might be too much. She did want to show off, but a mostly backless, deep-neck, slitted gown might be too much for what was essentially a first date/introduction when she thought about it.
If you don't hear from me within the next few days, I've died looking through fashion for the right clothes for my fictional character to wear.
tbf, 12 days with this RP is nothing.

The Bed and Breakfast was a cozy little thing, as small town Bed and Breakfasts had the tendency to be, so it was no wonder that there would still be guests there. The investigator decided he would wait for them to clear out before approaching his client. Harry was comfortable in Bed and Breakfasts; he had spent more than his fair share of nights mornings in them, to the point of developing a private rating systems for them. He gave the hotels two linked ratings from one to five based on the quality of the rooms and the food. A rating for bed, and a rating for breakfast if you will, notated in an X/Y format, Bed always before Breakfast. His ratings didn't use decimals, in fact he quite detested their inclusion in rating systems. They were entirely pointless and only served to take up space. If one wished to have a high degree of precision in their subjective rating system, simply use a large enough scale to accommodate it, for instance a 100 point scale rather than 10.

His Bed and Breakfast scale worked with 3 as the baseline average. If there was nothing particularly noteworthy (positive or negative) about a hotel's Bed or Breakfast it would receive 3/3 by default. A score of 4 would mean that an aspect of the experience was beyond expectations: pillow mints, electric blanket, etc or that most parts of the Bed/Breakfast were executed solidly above the average. Scores of 5 were reserved for those rare hotels that managed to excel far beyond expectations in almost every way. Likewise, scores of 2 meant that either one aspect of the Bed and/or Breakfast was abysmal, or that it fell below standard in most tasks. A score of 1 demanded that in addition to falling below average across many categories (cleanliness, food taste, provided goods, aesthetics, etc) one particular aspect was bad enough for Harry to never utilize that entire service of the Bed and Breakfast ever again. Red Lake so far had managed to make him consider a score of 3/4, but it was a rating he wasn't entirely confident in yet.

Interacting with:The group

All Cyne could think of in response to the voice and its chastisements was that it was far more rude to trying killing people with magic suits of armor. Whatever the lack of courtesy from one or both sides of the current exchange, she was not properly equipped to fight the fight that was just thrust upon them. Her walking stick was not designed to be a weapon, let alone deal with suits of armor, luckily there was room for her to do some shapeshifting into something with more muscle than she'd ever manage to have in her inborn shape.

The half-orc melted away into the larger form of a black bear. While not as powerful as her usual brown-bear form, it made up for it in a great deal of dexterity and the ability to maneuver around the indoor setting she found herself in without knocking everything over. Honestly, the brown bear was usually overkill as far as brute power went in these kinds of fights, maybe she'd need to rethink her choice for common wild shape choices.
"Hm, what? Oh yeah, that." Roger was sitting on a crate that wasn't being used, smoking a cigarette as everyone else hurried around doing their job. At first it didn't seem to understand what Krista was getting at when she went up and thanked him. "You don't need to thank me for that, anybody could have done it, and none of us would have just left Elise for dead." He took a drag of the cigarette as Krista remained awkwardly silent, watching the rest of the hangar.

"I was waiting for everyone to get out of their frames, but the rest of the Squad seems stuck or busy with other sh- stuff." The older pilot snuffed out his cigarette on the box and stood up. Rooney stuffed his balled-up fists deep into his pockets at looked down at Krista (kind of hard not to when you were almost an entire foot taller than the person you're talking to). "If you want to get out of here, I'm not doing anything at the moment. Feels like if I stick around here too much longer I'll end up breaking something."

"Don't know how they do it on your planet, but aren't you too young to be drinking?" He tacked on to the end after a background thought finally finished processing in his head. Even on his backwater home world, you had to be at least 15 before you were allowed to imbibe alcohol. Well, at least officially. So hearing a girl four years his junior casually talking about getting a drink sounded wrong.
So does using Wild Shape count as Cyne's action for the turn?
Probably because you're a co-GM, Ammo
