Truthfully considering there's only 25 ish students in the academy compared to its usually presumed high number. A lot of people probably got rooms to themselves...

@FantasyChic Well Darren's got his start of the year thrift store run after classes. I'm sure he wouldn't mind William and Allison tagging along.
I figured as much so I didn't want to make a big deal of it, plus I think it helped make Darren's feel a bit hard going into the danger room where I want him to hopefully shine a bit and show that even though he doesn't like his powers. He knows how to use them and isn't afraid to dish out the hurt.

Well to be fair Allison hasn't really said anything to Darren besides being hungry after saving him. Even though he said something to her when he came in.
Wow so much hate on Darren even after his started making an effort to change for the better.... At this rate Darren's going to relapse into an asshole from everyone else's shit and then everyone will wonder why Darren's being an asshole again.

Darren finished his plate, as he heard everyone’s disappointment that he didn’t get smacked by a breakfast item. Which didn’t do much to make Darren feel better. “If either of you want to see what someone getting smacked by a pancake looks like I’d be happy to throw one at you.” Darren joked back after he finished his plate and leaned back in his seat, twirling his fork in his hand like a drummer twirled their drumstick.
As everyone started to file out and get ready for action Will had to leave a little sooner, since when it came to danger room training sessions he needed to change into clothes that allow him to use his powers. He had in a past session gone with normal clothes but inflating in clothes just... never ends well. Well depending on how you want to look at seeing someone’s clothes get ripped off of them.
As Darren stretched his arms out head down for the first real action of the school year, William came up next to him and was continuing to try and apologize for it. Darren though gave him a pat on the shoulder. “Hey man relax, all’s well that ends well and all that.” Darren reminded William as his roommate asked about the room. Darren remembered that the new kid hasn’t been down there yet. He himself could remember seeing the remaining third of the house he had not seen at first. Needless to say that room was an amazing experience. “Well... I mean I don’t know how to explain it since I’m not sure if you’d believe me.” Darren noted scratching the back of his head awkwardly. “I mean like in the context we both live in a house with other people with big extraordinary abilities.” He added upon realization.
“It is cool though, I think you’ll have a blast down there. I know I get a kick out of the place.” Darren said, subconsciously cracking his knuckles.

Yeah I haven't had time to work on something for the post so since I figure Cyclops would be pissed enough to not even let Quicksilver get a word in. Plus I'm planning a lot with said next post, so it'll take a bit for me to finish it anyways.

All Darren was doing was taking his time, really enjoying the delicious pancakes. Allison was distracted by Ryan so Darren just quietly kept his worries to himself for the moment since at this rate he knew they were talking before he got there. Even though he was a bit bummed out that his worry went unnoticed.
Then all of the sudden Allison forked a pancake inches from Darren’s face. The pancake let a little bit of syrup drip onto his pancake before she gracefully let it slide onto her own plate. Darren just paused for a moment as his brain tried to understand just what the hell just happened. Finally he looked over and saw the sheepish grin on roommate Will’s face. Darren frowned a bit mad at Will’s carelessness or general dickery depending on what happened. In his growing angry huff his stomach began to puff out more and more. Riding his shirt up as his belly button became exposed. “Dude! What the fu-...” Quickly he stopped glaring at Will and made himself calm down. His stomach quickly shrinking back to normal as Darren had to calm himself. Sighing for a moment, he glanced back up at Will. “Sorry just... be careful man. I like pancakes but that doesn’t mean I want to wear one!” Darren joked to help ease the already mounted tension he felt on him.
Snapping at someone for that, no matter how justifiable, was what old Darren would do. He knew it, and everyone else at the table sure as hell knew it too. He realized everyone was looking at him, already rearing to go to judge him for getting mad at a new kid. So Darren had to stop himself before he said something mean. Sighing to himself as he let any residual anger in him slip away. He turned to Allison and gave her a smile and nod. “Thanks, always good to sit next to you.” Darren told her.
“Guess my worries about the year are already getting a little confirmed if I’m having hot cakes launched at me.” Darren noted to himself as he finished his pancakes, feeling awkward more still as he felt like people were glaring at him.
