Yeah let me add that in, forgot...

Edit: Done, under costumes.

Also, the Students/Living quarters is just a list of accepted characters, done up as who is staying with who. M being male students and W being female students naturally.

...Was kind of assuming it would be the other way around, seeing how this is based on comics and all. ^^;

Doesn't matter that much, but I more or less was going on another RP as a sort of inspiration and that was what @Lord Wraith's had for that RP's character sheets.

It won't hurt my feelings if you'd rather comic based images. Especially if you plan on using an established Young Avenger or legacy character.

Hopefully the idea for the profile sheet comes through in the description.
‘May You Never Yield, May You Never Fail.’

Its a name that has always been associated with bravery, heroics, and serving for the greater good. Men and women, from those possessing the mightiest of powers, to even the most humble and skilled. All have come and gone over the many years, seeking the kind of glory that only comes with joining such an elite team.

That team? The Avengers.

~ First page of the Avengers Academy pamphlet

Created as a response to the growing panic over countless threats like Hydra, mutants and by association The Brotherhood, and many others. Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division, or SHIELD for short. Created what was then called The Avengers Initiative. Led by the recently unfrozen World War II hero Captain America, the team has been a symbol of hope in all the madness in the world. Providing not just defense for serious dangers against the world, but aid to those in need as well.

Many have come and gone from the ranks of The Avengers, either voluntarily or from unfortunate circumstances. The two biggest constants of the team though have been Steve Rogers and Tony Stark, respectably Captain America and Iron Man. However even with his peek physical skills Steve finally decided to slow down. Shocking the world when he announced he was stepping down effective immediately as leader of The Avengers. What shocked everyone even more was what Steve Rogers had decided to do with his newfound free time.

Even as a man from the past, Steve always wanted to look ahead. The next new recruits that would lead The Avengers into the next century and beyond. To that end he brought up an idea to Nick Fury that would eventually lead to the creation of Avengers Academy. A private academy that would bring in great young heroes to be. Teach them everything important, and train them in handling their powers and combat scenarios.

The Academy would be a prime target for enemies though. So Nick Fury had it be commissioned to be on the top of a specially made helicarrier. Which ensured a perfectly safe environment that keeps outside distractions to a minimum. The academy however features many amenities for staff and students alike. Not only a state of the art training area that doubles as an athletic arena for basketball, football, soccer, baseball, and even ice hockey. A pair of Olympic sized swimming pools. Plus there is a student lounge filled with video games, pool and air hockey tables, and some of the most comfy couches you will ever rest your rear end on.

While some of the teachers and faculty staff consist of either paid normal teachers or medical personal. A majority of the staff either hails from SHIELD or are former Avengers in their own right. Hank Pym, formerly the original Ant-Man, runs the science labs and program at Avengers Academy as an example.

This year promises to be Avengers Academy’s most interesting year yet, as students are arriving in from around the world to either continue studies or are new. None are aware yet of the crazy year ahead.

Rules/world guidelines:

- The school is high school/college aged stuff, 14 year olds going up to 21 year olds.

- There is a dress code for classes and training but its fairly loose. Going on shirts, polos, button ups, even hoodies, each with the Avengers Academy logo on it and a flag on the left sleeve representing the student’s country of origin. Outside of classes students can wear whatever they want barring anything considered offensive. When it comes to costumes students can bring in their own (typically not as high quality as it can be) or a small team of seamstresses can measure you out for one after your first year of classes.

- The two dorms on campus are divided by gender, with two to a room. Usually paired randomly though if the students agree to it, are allowed to switch rooms to stay with friends.

- Since the basis for this was inspired by the ios Avengers Academy game I am going to allow for the usage of canon characters. Though I'm only keeping it to Young Avenger members, after that its more aiming for OCs. When it comes to canon characters changing backstory is fine and other small details. But keep what makes them who they are intact. For OCs please don't just rip off another Marvel or DC hero. I will accept legacy characters (son/daughter of two Marvel heroes) but they will be judged harder, canon hero profile sheets too, compared to OC sheets.

On the character sheet are two separate sections, the first is a basic set up, the second is a sheet that Avengers Academy supervisors and teachers have filled out on your character. Initial observation report being the first impressions the staff had on your character. Training regimen/expertise is what kind of specific classes the student has been put into, and if any a natural skill they have that will be utilized in field. Potential outlook is the general feeling among the staff about the student’s future as an Avenger. Finally base case scenario and worst case scenario aren’t basically becomes an Avenger or doesn’t, but looks at how they would function as an Avenger given their strength and flaws. What their role on a team would be essentially.

I'm getting started on it now... making especially sure to not load Steam up because the last two days have proven that will be a hindrance.
@DrewVonAwesome Oooh I want that game! How is it?

I've been playing Wasteland 2 recently, it's very old school RPG, kind of like Fallout and it's a lot of fun!

The fact I just procrastinated again on posting the OOC should say everything about Stardew Valley. Fucking timesink of epic proportions...

@DrewVonAwesomeI just got Stardew Valley, Enter the Gungeon, Nuclear Throne and the Turok re-release. I feel you.

@FantasyChic Like Harvest Moon but with what seems like a heavier environmentalist message and big on the "small town community"/ "corporate business is killing small towns"/"working in a cubicle is literally hell" feel.

In simpler terms its really Minecraft and Harvest Moon had a baby. Harvest Moon farm tending and interacting (I'm currently hard at work trying to get into either Sam or Alex's pants...) with Minecraft combat and crafting.
Yeah so you guys know how I said I would have the ooc up last night? Well I bought Stardew Valley a few days ago and... It's a hell of a drug...

I have some stuff I need to do today but after that hopefully I can focus long enough to get things moving.
Well keep in mind too, one thing I'd like to see out of the heroes all together is a sort of classic feel in powers. Since I sort of equate that with Avengers, more so with Justice League, but The Avengers too. I think X-Men wise you can get away with goofier powers, but there is a sort of old school charm to the Avengers to me.

Anyways I'll make the OOC tonight, I haven't started on a character sheet skeleton or even my character yet. I have an idea what I want to do though, and he may go against what I just said since I'm having him be a pro wrestler turned future superhero... I'm a hypocrite. Still power wise he'll be simple in nature, super strength, agility, and endurance.
I just sent him a note about it, but I am sorry to @Mr_pink for public shaming him like I did. It wasn't cool of me to do that, I feel like I just got annoyed about archmage so I went too far with it. I'm sorry. If you still don't want to join I don't blame you at all.
Drew, did you get my last PM?

Yeah, and I didn't say anything because you're trying to debate me over you having your character's powers being THIS!

Hi, for the avengers I was thinking of a disabled character whose main form of transport when in a fight would be a horse. For his main power I was thinking of him being able to 'spin' anything he touches. I think the main use of this would be the ability to spin his fingernails and use them as sort of faux bullets. Along with this, I was thinking that something strange like Dr. Pepper or something would let him grow his fingernails back really quickly, just so he isn't left with no fingernails for ages. A second use of this power is related to his horse. Obviously he can't just magic a horse out of thin air so I was thinking of two things. Either dimension travel or a sort of psuedo pocket dimension. For the dimension travel I was thinking he'd activate it by squashing himself inbetween two objects(for example, draping a flag on top of him and lying on the floor). The main use of this power would be to quickly and easily get onto his horse, it wouldn't be as OP as it sounds so don't worry. I think a way of making this less OP would be to make it so that he can only travel to dimensions extremely similar to the current one, and that he could only stay for a set amount of time within them. For the pocket dimension I was thinking he could spin a small amount of the world itself to open the space between dimensions where he could store things.

Seriously this isn't a comedy RP, this is the Avengers! Do these powers seem rational to ANYONE?!
