Suddenly, the colossal titan appeared in a flash of light. It kicked open the gate, and Titans rushed in. "Hana, run!" Archer shouted. He got his gear ready, but the colossal Titan hit the area near him, and the shockwave knocked him off the wall, unconscious.

"Come on, lighten up. I want to see that pretty smile of yours." He joked, but Archer is obviously scared of rejection. "Pretty please?" He made a puppy dog face, still cleaning the cannon, purposefully making his hand brush Hana's. He noticed the new girl and blushed. Crap. She saw me flirting. She'll probably tell the boys. Crap. Crap.

@Nikki Moonlight The instructor told them what to do. "Clean the cannons. I'll be back in a while." He walked away. Archer walked to the cannon next to her. "Remember when we promised as kids that we'd marry each other?" He whispered, smirking.

"All right maggots!" The instructor shouted as soon as everyone came outside. "These are your groups and assignments!" The instructor rattled off names, but eventually he got to cannon cleaning on the wall. "Archer, Hana, Enya!" The instructor continued rattling off words, but Archer wasn't listening. "Sweet!" He whispered to Hana, and put his arm around her. "We got assigned together!" He followed the instructor when he told them to, and ended up on the wall by the cannons.

Archer woke up, and stood up, remembering what today was. He took a shower and cut his hair short with a razor his father had found for him, and got dressed in his uniform. "Our first assignment is today. I have to maintain a good image." He spotted a group of boys snickering at him. "All right, anyone want to tell me what happened?" He said, hands balled into fists. "You went to sleep near Hana." One blurted out. The others glared at him, and turned to Archer, fearful. "I was tired after my walk outside, and fell asleep before I could get to my bunk." He lied, and the boys breathed sighs of relief. "So you're not dating Hana?" Another asked. Archer blushed. "Now where did you get that idea?!" He shouted. A girl butted in. "It's obvious you like each other." Archer sighed, and walked outside, suprised at how well he had cut his white hair. He kept the bangs long of course, but the rest was short. He grinned, and approached Hana. "This is the day!"

@Nikki Moonlight Archer walked back inside and sat next to Hana's bunk. Watched her face, and eventually fell asleep to the lullaby of fatigue. "Sorry Hana." He whispered. "Sorry I couldn't be strong then. But I've been training hard. I won't let you get hurt. If they get close to you, they'll have to get through me first." He then fell silent, snoring softly. His lean body resting against the post of her bunkbed.
