Background: Born to a poor family on the outskirts of Regnum Magnopere, Samuel grew up with little food and was abandoned in an orphanage. Resorting to pick pocketing, Samuel became know as a delinquent and troublemaker in the small town he grew up in. He lacked the moral fiber the other children at the orphanage had and, as a result, took up bullying his weaker peers for food and money. He had little schooling as a child, and was illiterate until the age of 16. By the time he was 15, all the other children in his orphanage were adopted, leaving Samuel with children half his age and a staff who were less forgiving of him by the day. Just as Samuel was about to give up on ever being adopted, the orphanage was visited by a lone priest, who adopted Samuel and took him to live with the priest in an old church.

Growing up with the priest mainly involved the priest calmly asking Samuel to do a chore or task, Samuel angrily refusing to do said task, and Samuel begrudgingly finishing the task several minutes later. The priest taught Samuel how to read, how to multiply and divide, and even some basic history of the world. It was at the age of 18 that the priest gave Samuel his own bible, leaving the old church permanently, and leaving Samuel left to his own devices. Samuel spent the next 3 years studying the book of the lord, acting as the reverend for a town that used to despise him, and doing general repair of a decaying church. After those 3 years, Samuel decided to close the old church, going out into the world to experience what was outside of the small town he grew up in.

Samuel went to many different parts of the kingdom. After 10 years of traveling, he finally decided to settle down and return to the small town life he abandoned. Settling in a small town to the north of the kingdom, Samuel eventually founded a small hospital with the medical knowledge he developed from other travelers he met. Over the course of 12 more years, due to his job and importance, Samuel grew to be very respected in the small town, eventually being chosen as the representative of his town for events in the cities. This, combined with his regular preaching at the local church, lead to him cultivating his persuasion and compromising. It was on one of these trips to the cities that Samuel met Gabriel, his spirit.

Samuel was traveling alone along an abandoned dirt path, carrying vital pain medication from the city, headed for the town. As he traveled, his horse slowly began to grow restless, eventually stopping entirely. Assuming that the horse was hungry and tired, Samuel went for a walk while it recovered. It was near a dirty pond that Samuel noticed a small, almost crippled-looking bird on the side of the road. A pang of guilt passed through Samuel, as similarities between his childhood and the abandoned creature rose to the forefront of his mind. He reached out to the twitching, pitiable bird and felt a warm, nostalgic feeling emanating from it. As soon as he touched the bird, it gazed at him with glistening eyes and allowed Samuel to take it with him.

1 month later, the bird was fully healed and revealed itself as the spirit Gabriel. Gabriel left the tower to pursue a life of peace, but was assaulted by 2nd evolution spirits and left to die on the side of the road. Gabriel swore fealty to Samuel, serving as his shield in times where Samuel was in need of help, just as Samuel had done for him. With a strong spirit in tow, Samuel decided that he still had enough time to go on one last adventure, and headed out for the tower in order to bring fame and glory to his town.

Personality: Despite his youth, Samuel grew to become a very calm and rational person. Preferring to talk out an issue rather than fight, Samuel simply wishes to help people and watch them grow, just as the priest had done for him. Samuel believes anyone can change for the better and, if given the choice, refuses to kill anyone. Samuel rarely raises his voice above a conversational volume, and the times he does is usually for those at a distance. Samuel would prefer a calm walk through the upper levels of the tower than the thrill-seeking an adventurer usually goes after. One of the very few things that annoys Samuel is people commenting on how he looks older than he actually is. Samuel regrets many of the things he has done in his past and wishes to make amends with those he has wronged.

Name: Saba Ikiru

Gender: Male, last time he checked.

Background: Born to a strict household, Saba has always had a strong respect for authority and the law. He was raised to be careful and analyze a situation rather than jump in head first, and he has always been the "good kid". Saba experienced an abysmal childhood, spending most of his time in his room imagining fantastic people and creatures. Growing up as the oldest sibling, he tried his hardest to enter a good university and provide for his family.

Spending large amounts of time studying was what he did during his lunch hours and free time, resulting in an unpopular reputation. His middle school years were spent being assaulted by bullies and delinquents, deepening the loyalty he feels for the rules and his distaste for those who disobey them. He was always so busy studying, even those who tried to be friendly with him were dismissed as distractions. Additionally, the time he spent locked in his room caused the siblings, who he spent so much time working for, to become distant and uncaring for him. Eventually, the only people who ever talked to him were the fantastic creations he made, and the voices in his head.

Eventually, Saba graduated high school. Having received a full-ride at one of the best universities in Tokyo, Saba was destined for greatness, even if his peers did not care for him. On his way home from his graduation ceremony, he was feeling the best he did in years, prepared to earn his father's respect and pride. Upon seeing a little girl cross the street, blissfully unaware of the oncoming truck, he temporarily abandoned his analytical nature, pushing her out of the way. Saba's death was slow, but it became much easier once the numbness set in. Just as the last of his senses dissipated and his body refused to function, he suddenly awoke, veins filled with adrenaline, in a location that seemed far different than the Tokyo he grew up in.

Saba was temporarily depressed after dying, but his creations soon uplifted him and he began to observe his surroundings. His death reminded him of the years he poured into his studying and his goal of being a good brother, but he was secretly relieved to be away from the delinquents and bullies, even if it was only for a little while. Besides, it's not like he'll get bored: he has so many interesting people to talk to! Even though he doesn't know where he is or why he was sent here, he plans to protect those who were weak like him, and if any others were sent here like him, find a way to send them back home.

Abilities and Traits: Some form of minion control. Whether they are Undead, golems, or a group of elementals, Saba's old friends seemed to join him in the after life, this time in a much more...physical form (Note: Just pick a group of something that he is allowed to control, anything is fine as long as it is able to move and attack. Preferably something easy to find or make, like a rock golem. I would like it if Saba also had above average intellect, like an extra language or something, but that is not required.)

Equipment: Besides the old school Uniform he is currently wearing, he's got nothing. Of all the days to forget hi lighter...

Name: Gobu

Gender: Male

Appearance: Gobu is green-skinned, four foot tall, and ugly individual. He has a slightly hooked nose that looks like a beak more than anything else. He has "Scary eyes" that are always in a glare and seems to wear a constant sneer. He seems to be obsessed with looking more important than other gobs, going to great lengths to look like a big shot.

Personality: Some people say that you can't judge a book by its cover. They have never met Gobu, because he definitely proves that you can. He acts with an air of superiority that does not fit a lowly goblin newborn, and will flaunt anything and everything to show off. His cocky nature, however, is really a cover for the crippling self-hate he feels on a daily basis, making those who compliment him and inflate his ego very important to him, to the point where Gobu may even die for them. He rarely does things for free and is more than willing to betray someone if it makes his life easier. Gobu values his intellect above all other characteristics, going to great lengths to show off in anything from puzzles to academics. His insults are usually directed at those who are not as smart as he is. Finally, Gobu has a difficult time finding what is ethically acceptable. He would kill a child for a copper piece and wonder why everyone was staring at him in horror.

Past: In another life, Gobu was raised as an aristocrat, high and above the plebeians of the city below. He was groomed as a leader of a prized company that was one of the largest in the industry due to his gifted intellect and planning, causing envy and hatred among his siblings. This hatred led to a very deep-seeded distaste for himself, and caused him to abused his power as often as he could to feel important. He was forced into a loveless marriage, treated his children like pawns and fell into heavy drinking. He killed himself at the age of 34, and this led him to being reborn into the body of a goblin, ready to sleaze his way to the top once again.

Talent: GM's choice, preferably something related to intelligence or magic.
