Bio
My name is Jordan, but everyone usually just calls me Jo. I'm 29 years old, and I'm from Brooklyn, NYC. I've got a little over 17 years of RP experience under my belt. You'll usually see me in SOL RPs. My discord is Ejected#5448
My name is Elaine Cardozo, but most people call me Lainey or Ellie for short. My parents named me after Elaine Brown, this powerful, outspoken woman who just so happened to be former chairwoman of the Black Panther Party. My mom had me do a lot of research about her a while back, and I can't help but admire her. Apparently, my name also means "bright, shining light." Given my personality, I think the name really suits me. Don't you think?
How old are you?
I'll be turning thirteen on the fourteenth of November. It's kind of funny, actually... my birthday. I've always been a pretty bright kid, so when my mom and dad "explained" to me where babies came from, I'd already known a lot of it. It was my older brother, however, that planted it in my head that I'd been conceived on Valentine's day. I didn't know what that meant, so I took a trip to the library to look it up in the dictionary. I ended up looking into a whole bunch of things that I don't think I should have. It was pretty gross stuff, believe me. I don't think I'll ever want to have kids.
What do you look like?
I look like my parents. I mean, don't I? I've always been told that I have my mom's big brown eyes and lips, and my daddy's nose. The only thing I didn't get from either of them was my skin tone. Both of them are about two shades darker than I am, but mom says that I'll probably darken over time. I don't play sports or anything, and I'm not as active as my dad wants me to be. Ever since the doctors told him that I was about three inches taller than the average twelve year old girl, he'd been trying so hard to push me into basketball. I think I'd much rather watch it on TV or read about it in the paper than actually participate. Don't get me wrong, though. I'm definitely not fat. My dad would hate that.
Do you have any hobbies?
Does reading and writing count as hobbies? If so, let's go with that. A lot of people think I'm boring when I tell them this, but I don't really care. I love reading because it gives you a chance to transport yourself into a different world. You can sort of escape from reality, even if it's just for a few minutes. Fantasy is my favorite genre, but I also like to read autobiographies and biographies about my idols. The Autobiography of Malcolm X, for example. I've read it dozens of times. My mom gave it to me for my eleventh birthday, and I haven't been able to put it down since. Hopefully one day I'll be able to write a book of my own, autobiography or fantasy. Or maybe I'll even grow up to be some huge activist or superstar, so someone will write my biography instead!
I've never been much into dolls like most girls my age. My girl friends thought it was super weird that I liked to play with my brother's action figures instead. They made such a big deal out of, so I eventually just started to play with them when I was alone, and played dolls whenever I was with them. I still suck at braiding the dolls hair. I mean, their heads are so tiny, and I have to put rubber bands at the ends of the braids to keep them from coming undone. It's just too much work, is all I'm saying.
I'm also not sure if watching movies counts as a hobby, but I'm just gonna throw this out because I don't want to look like some loser who doesn't do anything fun or cool. Movies are cool, right? I've seen a bunch of them, new and old. My favorite movies are Star Wars and Indiana Jones, but don't tell anyone that I said that. I don't want people to think that I'm some kind of geek. I like chick-flicks and musicals too, you know? Like Grease and Flashdance... I kind of want to be in movies when I get older, like an actress or something. I think I'd be really good at it.
What are some things that you especially dislike?
There isn't much that I dislike besides the obvious like bullies or idiots. I mean, I try to find the beauty and goodness in everything. Well, alright... I do dislike cats. That's only because I'm allergic to them and can't help but sneeze whenever they're within two feet away from me. I also kind of dislike my older brother's friends, especially when they come over. They always find it funny to play pranks on me or just make a bunch of noise when our parents aren't home. I also hate when it rains because it messes up my hair. Plus, I have allergies and get sick easily, so even a slight change in the weather will have me sneezing and sniffling. I also dislike a lot of horror books and films. The movies always seem to use a lot of blood and guts, so it grosses me out more than anything. The books are always predictable, it gets boring after a while.
What are your goals for the future? Both immediate and long-term.
Immediate? To make it through the rest of school without dropping below a B average. I mean, shouldn't that be all of our immediate goals? As for long term, I don't really know. I love to read and write, so I could definitely see myself doing something with that. I could be an author or work for the paper. But then again, I just don't see how doing either of those would really put my name out there. One thing I do know is that I want to be remembered even after I'm dead and buried underground. I want to leave something great behind so that everyone will remember me. I could be an actress, like I mentioned before, or some kind of activist...or I could just combine everything into one. Who knows?
What's your home life like? Specifically, what is your relationship like with your parents?
Well, I guess you could say that I have your average, black Coloradan family. My mom grew up here, but my daddy moved here from Louisiana when he was twelve. From what I've heard, I have a big family down in New Orleans, but I have yet to meet them all. My dad did bring a few things with him when he moved to Colorado, though, like his famous New Orleans style gumbo recipe and many jazz records. Nine times out of ten, our little house usually smells like you just stepped inside of a Cajun restaurant. Some like it, some hate it. My big brother, Josiah, and I used to be best friends. That is, until he turned thirteen and wanted to spend more time with his boys than with me. Now, sixteen years old, he usually spends most of his time out until curfew, at which then he'll shut himself in his room and do whatever it is that he does.
My mom is a typical, no-nonsense mom, I guess. Along with my dad, she always pushes me to do my best when it comes to everything, school especially. She's usually the stern disciplinarian, and doesn't hesitate to hand deliver whoopings when she sees necessary. My dad, on the other hand, is pretty easy-going and fun. He's always dancing around the house and singing along to his jazz records, which is one of the things I love most about him. He can cook better than anyone I've ever known. He treats me like his princess, and always tells me that I can do whatever I put my mind to. My parents and I have a strong bond and a certain level of trust that I don't have with anyone else.
What's your favorite animal, and why?
Although I don't have any pets at the moment, I do love dogs. My family had a dog when I was younger, but he died right before my ninth birthday. I've always loved how dogs seem to love you no matter what, and cheer you up anytime you're feeling down in the dumps.
How about your favorite color?
My favorite color has always been and will always be orange. When I think of orange, I think of happiness, sunshine, and warmth, which matches my personality perfectly. When you walk into my bedroom, you'll see orange everywhere: orange bed sheets, orange wallpaper, and orange lamps. Even the ring that I wear nearly everyday has a hint of orange in the stone.
What are your grades like?
I've been on A and B honor roll since I started school; my mom would never tolerate anything less than that. My strongest subjects, though, have always been history and English. I have the highest reading level in my class, something that I am very proud about. My worst subject is math, simply because I have a hard time remembering formulas. As for electives, I don't particularly enjoy gym, but I do enough to keep my grade at a low B. I do love my theater class, though. I hope to star in lots of musicals and plays when I go to high school.
Do you believe in magic?
Sure! There's magic in everything. Just because you can't see it doesn't mean it isn't real.

Corinne is an aspiring actress, but does temp jobs in order to survive and pay the bills.
|{A P P E A R A N C E}|
Corinne is a curvy black woman, standing at five feet seven inches tall and weighing in at a little over one-hundred fifty pounds. Her skin is beautifully dark and free of any blemishes, an exception being the vertical scar on her eyebrow which she covers up with makeup. She has one, small tattoo on the back of her hand and doesn't plan to get anymore anytime soon. Her soft-curled, shoulder length hair is dense but yielding, and thick enough to lose your fingers in. You'll often find her wearing a half-black, half-orange wig. There's a certain elegance in the way that Corinne holds herself: good posture, long confident strides and her head held high. She often looks taller than her height of 5"7 considering that she's always wearing heels when she has the chance.
Her eyes are large and almond shaped, the brown of the iris so dark that it almost appears to be black. Her eyes are fringed with long, curled lashes. She has a short, delicate nose and perfectly arched, dark eyebrows. Her face is heart-shaped; she has high cheekbones and a pointed chin. Her lips are full and always moisturized or covered in a bright lipstick. When smiling, you can see that she has two rows of perfectly white teeth, a slight overbite present. Corinne usually applies a full face of makeup in the mornings, therefore enhancing her natural beauty.
When it comes to her fashion sense, Corinne has her own style and always dresses to impress. Her wardrobe consists of stunning pantsuits, dresses, blouses, and a large number of heels and boots. She likes to look her best everyday, and usually spends about two hours each morning making sure that there's nothing out of place. It's rare to see her in a state of disarray as she believes that she should always look prepared and presentable, especially when she's the most frazzled. When it comes to jewelry, Corinne also likes to go all out. She'll always wear a large pair of hoop earrings, along with matching necklaces, bracelets, and rings.

• Not many people know that she has a criminal record from when she was thirteen; a misdemeanor from when she was busted for marijuana possession and had to do 30 hours of community service. For this reason, she could not get any financial aid when she went to AADA. • She had an affair with one of her high school professors during her junior year in order to get an A in her class.
If you had to describe Corinne in one word, most people would choose terms along the lines of "confident", "uninhibited" or "adamant". While she can't entirely deny any of those, Corinne considers the core aspect of her personality to be determination. Her intelligence is mostly based on her determination to do well. All through grade school and university, Corinne studied her ass off in order to make it where she is now. A textbook extrovert, Corinne loves to chat with people (unless she's having a bad day, in which case she still loves to talk, but she leans towards negativity and passive-aggression) and tends to be genuinely friendly. She does not shy away from talking to strangers, but tends to turn a few people off with her tendency to express her thoughts unconsciously and without restraint. She is very observant, and tends to notice things about her surroundings that others may not. She is also individualistic and confident in herself and her actions.
Aside from being very friendly, Corinne is a perfectionist who has high standards for herself, and has a tendency to correct people and nitpick. More often than not, she is very nosy and, when in a bad mood, will sometimes come off as conceited and cocky. Despite all of her shortcomings, there's no denying that Corinne is extremely dependable. If you ask her to meet you somewhere, she will be there; if she promises to do something, she will do it; if you ask her for help, she will do everything in her power to assist. Underneath the frustrated sighs and eye-rolls lies a person who's kind and caring at the core. For the most part she's pleasant enough to be around and is usually willing to extend a helping hand to someone.

Corinne Sullivan and her brother, Cory, were born on November 2nd, 1995 in Harlem, New York. The twins were product of an unexpected and unwanted teen pregnancy. Despite being deemed "not ready" to raise a kid by her family, Corinne's mother still decided to bring her "bundle of joy" into this world. She was very surprised to find that she'd been pregnant with twins. After just two excruciating months of motherhood, however, Corinne's mother had reached her breaking point. After being forced to move into her baby father's place and fend for herself (and her newborns), her mother had much trouble affording clothes, diapers, and formula for her children. Corinne's father had dropped out of high school and got a job, but it still wasn't enough to support all four of them. Long story short, the parents decided to give Corinne and Cory to their grandmother, their father's mom, in Flatbush to raise.
Unlike her older brother, Corinne was extremely introverted growing up, and never made friends very easily. She'd spend most of her time, if not with Grandma, in her room, singing and dancing around. It wasn't until she was twelve that her Grandmother and brother finally convinced her to audition for her school's production of The Wiz. While her singing wasn't as good, Corinne's tremendous acting and dancing landed her the lead role. It was then that she began to break out of her shell. As she grew older, her acting and singing improved, as well as her social skills. She soon started to spend more and more time rehearsing or hanging out with friends, and less time staying home with Grandma. She also began to develop her own fashion sense, and by her Senior year of high school, was one of the more "popular" girls in her school. She won prom queen her senior year, and was her graduating class's salutatorian.
After graduating, Eighteen year old Corinne moved on to study for two years at American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Manhattan. Her grandmother, unfortunately, passed away during her second year. It was during that time period that she got to know her group of friends; she was thankful to have people she could lean on during this rough patch in her life. Now, twenty-two years old, Corinne lives in an apartment with her German Shepherd and does temp jobs to stay afloat while she tries to kick off her acting career.

☮ F A B I A N . G O N Z A L E Z ☮ "Fabian is a cool dude, very genuine and kind. He's always fun to be around."
Corinne and Fabian met during their college years; both of their schools were participating in a dance event. Corinne spotted Fabian during his warm-ups doing a few dance moves that she was interested in learning, so she approached him and asked him to show her how it's done. During that time, the two got to talking and joking around and, eventually, became friends.
♫ L A Y L A . G E L L E R ♫ "Lay is the most caring and creative person I've ever met, for real. I know that she doesn't generally approve of a lot that I do, so I'm not sure how or why she puts up with my bullshit. Hell, I don't even know how we're best friends. We just kinda stick."
Layla and Corinne are best friends, which would come as a surprise to many. Though not seeing eye to eye on a lot, like Corinne's dating habits, the two young women do have a lot in common such as their fashion senses and baking skills. The two girls are always gossiping and having fun, especially when Amelia joins in.
⚜ A M E L I A . A R N A U ⚜ "Although I don't know her as well as my other friends may, Amelia seems like a pretty cool girl. I'll get to know her more now that she's moved in with Layla. She's gentle and nice, but almost to a fault, you know?"
Amelia and Corinne are not close, but friendly nonetheless. Despite being polar opposites, the two girls get along seemingly well, especially now that Amelia lives with Lay and they're oftentimes a trio. There is a lot that Corinne does like about the woman such as her optimistic attitude and kindness, but silently wishes that Amelia would be a bit more assertive and little less mousy.
☮ A D A M . S A M U E L S ☮ "Adam will always be cool in my book. We frequent the gym together. Plus, he can really hold his liquor unlike a lot of folks."
Adam and Corinne are drinking buddies, having met at a bar and eventually becoming good friends. Unlike a good amount of her friends, Adam can definitely hold his liquor. It's also nice to have someone to go to the gym with and sweat out a mean hangover.
☮ J A S O N . K E L L Y ☮ "Jason will always be the guy to go to whenever I just want to blow off some steam and get crazy lit. He's also a pretty dope artist; he did my hand tattoo a couple of years back, and it's fucking awesome."
Jason and Corinne met a little while back; he was who Corinne got to do her tattoo for a reasonable price. Whenever Corinne is looking to blow off steam or just have fun, Jason Kelly is the person she'll more often than not choose to kick it with. Every now and then they'll knock back a few drinks and smoke a blunt or two. She's always liked how he oozes confidence and has a certain "I don't give a fuck about what you think about me" attitude, and typically enjoys being around him; one can never be bored when in his company.
☯ Q U I N T E N . B O O K E R ☯ "Quinten? Don't know anyone by that name, sorry."
Corinne has yet to meet Quinten face to face. She has, however, heard enough about him from Fabian to know that he's a good friend of his. Any friend of Fabian's is a friend of Corinne's.
♫ J D . D U K E ♫ "JD is cool as shit. I met him a while back, and we get along pretty well. He's the best wing-man I've ever had."
JD and Corinne met when they were in their late teens, during Corinne's final year of high school. The two initially saw each other while JD was walking around the streets of Flatbush filming for one of his vlogs; Corinne bumped into him while running to the metro station, causing her to leave her notepad behind and him to nearly break his camera. They officially met at the skate park; he was filming the skaters and she was hanging around with her brother and his friends. After JD returned her notepad, the two started talking and eventually grew very close. They're sort of like an odd duo that just works.
☯ H O N E Y . D U K E ☯ "Oh, JD's sister? I haven't gotten the chance to meet her in person yet, but I have seen a few pictures of her on JD's camera. She's a stunner."
Corinne and Honey haven't met each other yet, but Corinne is definitely looking forward to getting to know the sister of one of her closest friends. She's seen a few pictures of the woman on her brother's camera and has heard a lot about the her; she believes that they would get along rather well.
