"As am I. Honestly, we have caused nothing but trouble for her since we showed up, but I think she sees it as worthwhile. We have sort of ruined her life here in Vos, but hopefully, she can end up starting up a better one elsewhere. Thorn does sound like a nice place, if you're into cities." Ahnasha shook her head. "Actually, no. It all went fairly well. We were able to sneak by all of them except the Dunmer we encountered in the second tower. Ariel distracted her while I paralyzed her with a poison dagger. We drug her out of the tower before destroying it. Hopefully, she listened to us and got away from it. A few of you look a little...singed from flames, so I take it you met some resistance. I don't see any life-threatening wounds among you. Maybe some annoying ones, but you all look fine."

Looking ahead at Meesei, who was walking just ahead of her, Ahnasha saw the discoloration on her bruised back. She poked her scales lightly, causing her to glance back briefly. "It looks like something hit you pretty hard." She observed.

Meesei nodded and looked back ahead. "That would be the hagravens. Ariel was right about them being dangerous. Even with that potion making me temporarily immune to their magic, they were rather crafty. One of them telekinetically picked up this large metal brazier and hit me in the back with it. Unfortunately, I was not able to spare both of their lives. One of them knew magic that could enhance her strength far beyond what most restorationists are capable of. I'm guessing the techniques they used were far more advanced than the brute force tactics a modern restorationist would use for the same task. I did spare the other one, and the one hagraven was the only witch I know without a doubt perished. Others took some heavy wounds, but as long as they have good healers, they should be fine." Meesei explained. They were starting to get somewhat close to the hunters' cave, so it would not be too long before they would be able to rest.
The other RP I was talking about has over 400 IC posts, and over 5000 OOC posts. It is quite an active RP, it just takes a lot of time to write for it. With 1 on 1s, the greatest advantage is you can often post more frequently, since you only have two schedules to worry about. Even with us being on opposite sides of the planet, it's working well. Maybe not if I couldn't reliably stay up to 3 AM, but still.
This is indeed the most successful 1 on 1 I've ever had.

It actually has more IC posts than any other RP I'm in at the moment. Of course the average post in the most successful normal RP I'm in is basically a mini-novel, so that might be forgiven there.
"I understand. Gather the most valuable things you own, but I would pack light. My idea involves the weapons the hunters from that cave were using. They were silver; perhaps not completely pure silver, but high enough concentration to cause severe wounds to a lycan. As much as I despise the metal, it is valuable. If we carry as many of those as we can with us, we can sell them in Vos, Thorn, and any other city or town we happen to pass by. I would just ask that you help pack them. For obvious reasons, handling anything silver is a real pain for us. If you were to wrap them properly, we could bring them with us. I'm not particularly fond of the idea of distributing those weapons, honestly, but most merchants will probably just end up melting them down anyway. All that I would require is that you leave us enough gold from their sale for our needs. We do not require much, as we rarely have cause to purchase anything, so most of it would go to you." Meesei explained. Carrying an excess of weapons would limit the other supplies hey could bring with them, but on the other hand, the gold they could earn selling them would help to pay for emergency supplies if they needed them.
Pretty much everyone showed some sort of thanks to Ariel. Even Lorag gave her a respectful nod in acknowledgement. After Sabine got up to embrace her sister, Meesei approached Ariel and lightly placed a hand on her back, looking down at her with an approving smile. "Indeed, you have done more for us, and indeed all of our kind, than most without the gift of beast blood would ever consider. You informed us of, and helped destroy a threat to our very lives. For that, you have our thanks. If you wish for aid to get to Thorn, we will give it to you. I admit, I would normally never consider allowing one not of the beast blood to stay with us for any extended time, but you have earned it."

Meesei looked off over the horizon in the direction of the hunters' cave for a moment before looking back down at Ariel. "For now, though, we should probably head back to camp and get some rest. We should try to leave Vvardenfell as soon as we can, but before we do, I have an idea on how to get you as much gold as possible to help restart your life." She said, offering her hand to help her up.
Lorag stared at Ariel with his head cocked to the side and a confused expression for a few moments before Meesei approached.Taking a glance back in the direction they came, she reasoned that it was no longer necessary to remain in their beast forms. They had only started heading towards the meeting place after breaking the line of sight with the keep, and even if someone tracked them, they had been running significantly faster than any human or elf was capable of. Most likely, they weren't even being tracked. With how much damage they had caused the witches were probably more concerned with dealing with their own wounded and assessing their situation.

Meesei shifted back into her normal form, and Lorag followed her lead. Ahnasha returned Fendros' embrace, then followed suit as well. When she was back in Khajiit form, she reached up and put her arms around Fendros' neck and kissed his snout before answering his question. "As well as I can be, I suppose. I'm not hurt, and I'm so glad to see that you're alright as well. I swear, if you ever die, I'm going to kill you." She said with a slight laugh before turning her attention to Sabine, who was still in her wolf form.

Kneeling down beside Sabine, Meesei gently placed a hand on her shoulder and glanced to Ariel. "It wasn't easy for her to return to the place that had been the source of so much of her pain. It did not help that we ran into a group of young children, much like she had been only a few years ago. I think it brought up unpleasant memories. If I could have helped it, I would have allowed her to stay behind, but we needed everyone on this one. This is not a war we chose, it has been thrust upon us by Clavicus Vile. I wish she never had to return to return to that place, but the coven had chosen to make themselves our enemy."

"I...wouldn't quite say that." Ahnasha interrupted, clasping her hands together in a somewhat nervous manner.

Meesei looked to Ahnasha with a mix of interest and confusion. "What do you mean?"

"Well...if what one of the witches said is to be believed, they are only doing this because Vile has the soul of one of their members hostage. They needed to produce the gas to keep her safe." Ahnasha explained.

Meesei lowered her head and let out a sigh. "This war is a terrible thing. Clavicus Vile creates victims wherever his influence spreads, on both sides of the war, it seems. I know not what his final goals are, but they need to be stopped before he can cause more pain."

Leaning in closer to Sabine, Meesei placed her hand on her chin and gently lifted up her snout so that she could look her in the eye. Meesei's expression was one of sadness, of empathy for Sabine's situation, but it also carried with it certainty. "Sabine, you are safe now. Nothing that ever happened to you in that place will happen to you again, not while I draw breath." Meesei wrapped her arms around Sabine's neck and hugged her, holding her tightly in her embrace with no intention of letting go until Sabine could feel she was safe.
"Like I mentioned before, I finished my last final not long before we decided to come out here. There are only a few more days left in the semester. How many finals do you still have left to do? Maybe we can handle being there for just a few days? I don't have any classes, but I can come with you all the same. I won't be able to come in the class with you, obviously, but I could wait outside. Maybe knowing that I'm close will help keep you calm, and vice versa?" Sam suggested. It was difficult to think about how to continue their normal lives in this situation. Certainly, he hoped they wouldn't have to give up everything they had worked so long to achieve.
After moving out from under the bridge, Sam walked along with Stevie along the trail through the forest, back to where they had parked. Now that he knew where they were, Sam estimated it would take a little under an hour to reach the car. It was rare that anyone actually came out to this part of the forest, so hopefully, no one had disturbed his car. "I don't know how helpful the internet will be on this. Werewolf stories and myths are all over the place on what they can do. How can we know which ones are true, and which are just fantasy? I mean, two days ago, I would have said they were all fantasy. Since it is night right now and I can still see, I'm guessing low-light vision is one of our abilities. Not to mention strength. It's fairly obvious that this transformation put a lot of muscle on both of us." He said with a bit of a smile as he put a hand on her rather firm abs, although, his expression quickly turned more serious. "It's just...this is all so stressful. I think the important part is that we need to be careful. Let's try not to put ourselves in situations where we cannot easily escape. I also think we should stick close to each other until we have this figured out. The only thing I can think of that would be worse than having to run into the wilds in my wolf form would be being trapped there without you."
Sharee turned her attention away from the Breton woman and to Sarel as he approached, carrying in tow a familiar looking Breton man. It was a relief to have something else to focus on. The way she was looking at the other Breton was not normal for her, not for other women. It made her uneasy. Regardless, she shrugged it off and looked over Serge for a moment.

"Hmm, I think myself, the rest of the crew, and the sailors operating this vessel may have had something to do with that. Still, I value people with experience. I don't care where your former loyalties lay, as long as they remain former. If you have the skills I think you do, then you stand to make some gold here. If you were an officer in the Legion, then you must have done something to earn it. That, or you were born into a noble family and they gave you your command as a birthday present, or something. Since you're here, though, I'm going to assume that is not the case.

Sharee took her eyes off of Serge for a moment when she saw Allaina walk past carrying a keg with the two other crew members Sharee had ordered to assist her. It looked like they found a few of them, so they would be able to have a proper celebration. Of course, food and drink would be tightly rationed at all other times, but for now, a celebration was in order for their success. "After we get these bodies off the ship, I think the success of our attack calls for a celebration. I look forward to drinking you both under the table." She said confidently.
About an hour passed as the crew dumped the bodies and cleaned the ship. One of the crew died of their wounds, but the rest were stabilized and set on a path to recovery. There wasn't a single Imperial ship in sight, and seeing as they had changed direction to head towards Khanarthi's Roost, there were not likely to be any pursuers. Eventually, everyone's nerves seemed to calm once it appeared they were in the clear. A quick index of their food and supplies showed that the ship had been fully stocked before they captured it, with much more than enough to make the relatively short journey to the island. Some of the crew who did not have other duties to attend to were too exhausted to do anything but head to their bunks, and for the others Sharee offered for them to come above decks.

Sharee stood next to the helm, leaning on a bannister overlooking the rest of the deck. With a little under half of the fighter in their bunks, or the infirmary, it wasn't as crowded as it could be, but there were enough for her. Just in front of her were a few kegs and a crate of mugs, out of which she had already filled up a drink for herself. "Well then, now that all the fires have been put out, we're on our way to our first big score. We'll be stopping by Khanarthi's Roost for a day or two, depending on how long it takes for me to do what I need to do to get us set up. We're on our way to riches, ladies and gentlement, but for the moment, why not take a moment to celebrate what we've already done? We are on an Imperial frigate. A frigate we took out of one of the most important harbors of an Empire that is meant to have the 'most powerful military in Tamriel.' Just let that sink in a moment. We've already done the impossible; the next part will be easy. Go ahead, take a mug and drink up, we've all earned a celebration for this feat." She said before taking a swig of the alcohol in her mug, which she immediately identified as a kind of Colovian brandy.
Nice. It has been quiet for a while. I'll post in a bit if no one else has. (after you, of course)
