Sam didn't respond verbally at first and instead placed his hand over hers on his cheek and gave her a deep, passionate kiss. When he finally pulled back, he kept his forehead pressed against hers. "Yeah, I guess if we are healthier, we will live longer. I'm sure we can learn how to control this. It might be a while before we can lead a normal life, but I think we can do it."

Sam reluctantly pulled his head away from her so he could finish his pizza, but he still held her close. "So, I guess after your semester is over, we should make plans for how to figure out this werewolf form. We could spend a few days at a time camping in the wilderness and practicing control, then come back here just to make sure everything is okay and keep in touch with our friends. No matter what, we are going to need to spend a lot of time in the forest."
Swims grinned. "I look forward to it. A nice drink after good success sounds great. I also brought an empty bag to carry whatever we find in the ruin. We should make sure to get as much as possible to make the most out of this expedition. I think the town of Blankenmarsh is closer to the ruin than Leyawiin, so we might be able to sell some of our findings there."

The pair continued to walk along and chat for a few hours. Swims had hoped to make it at least most of the way to Blankenmarsh by the end of the day, but by noon, it became apparent that wasn't happening. Veria looked to be moderately tired, but Swims was pretty much exhausted. He had been training to fight in heavy armor, but he hadn't actually thought to train walking in it. His iron armor was rather heavy, so it exhausted him to walk so long in it. He stopped at the side of the road for a moment, panting for breath. "Hold on a moment...I just...I need a break." He said, sitting down on the muddy ground and leaning against a tree next to the road. "This armor is...heavy." He commented between breaths. "I think...we should maybe...slow our pace...a little. I'm exhausted." Swims leaned his head back against the tree and looked up at the clouds, still breathing heavily.
Swims looked back at Veria with the widest smile he had ever given. "I'm excited like you wouldn't believe. To think, after all these months of preparation, we're finally becoming adventurers. I have a few ideas about where we can go. There is an old Ayleid ruin called...something I can't pronounce. Anyway, it is to the north of here, just off the road east of town. It should take a few days of walking to get there. I think it will make a great first target. Who knows what kind of valuable relics we might find? Come on, let's go." He said, motioning for her to follow along.

The pair walked from the pond to the road just to the east of town. Being that Leyawiin was in the Blackwood Forest, which was practically a swamp, their feet were already wet from the mud they had to walk through to get to the cobblestone road. Of course, being that he was Argonian, the water did not bother Swims in the slightest. Actually, he rather liked it. As they were walking along, Swims glanced over to Veria, his face still beaming with excitement. "So, what kind of supplies do you have? I brought a map, some food, my waterskin, and two healing potions. They are kind of cheap potions, admittedly, but I don't plan on getting hurt."
Sam began to eat as well, and gave a quick chuckle at the mention of the boar. "Yeah, I never thought I would find myself eating raw meat. It makes me hope that werewolves have increased disease resistance. It would make sense...although, I guess there is nothing saying that being a werewolf has to make sense. Still, it has been a while, and I feel fine, so I'm guessing we are in the clear on that one."

Sam wasn't really concentrating on what was on TV, and instead was just enjoying talking to Stevie in more relaxed circumstances. "So, which classes do you have finals in tomorrow? It's unfortunate that you won't be able to study more, but I believe in you."
The sun was just rising over the horizon on a rather clear day. It was hot and humid, but it was like that every day in Leyawiin, so there was no surprise there. Swims-With-Pride was standing under a tree by the pond near the gate to the city's castle district. It was a popular swimming hole in town, one he visited often, but that was not the reason he was there this time. He was in full iron armor, apart from a helmet since he couldn't afford to get one with holes for his horns, with his shield on his back and his sword in its scabbard. He was waiting for his closest friend, Veria, as today was the day they would be setting out on their first real adventure. His mind was already swarming with ideas on what they would do, what ruins they would explore, the riches they would find. The possibilities were endless, and he was practically overflowing with excitement.

Swims had already checked, double checked, and triple checked his supplies to make sure he wasn't forgetting anything. In his backpack, he had his map, some preserved food supplies, and even a few potions. Veria was bringing a similar set of supplies, so they would be fine for a week at least on their travels. Even if they ran out, they could always go hunting, so he wasn't too worried. No, he was too excited to be afraid.

Background: Swims-With-Pride was the youngest of the three children born to his mother, Sings-In-Rain, and father, Walks-Over-Mountains. They were merchants who owned a general store in Leyawiin. As such, Swims found that his life was fairly boring early on. He did not take to the merchants' trade like his older brother and sister, so he always felt out of place in his family. As a result, he always found himself looking elsewhere to keep himself entertained whenever he had the free time.

Early in life, he found a friend in another adventurous soul named Veria. Like himself, she enjoyed exploration, and was always willing to take on a challenge. Both of their families came to know one another simply through their mutual desire to keep their children out of trouble: something they found themselves in quite often. Eventually, Swims and Veria decided that they wanted to become a pair of adventurers, and started working towards that goal. Swims split his time between working in his parents' shop to earn gold, and the fighters' and mages' guilds for training. Once the pair had earned enough to pay for their equipment, and felt they had received enough training, they decided it was time for them to begin their adventuring career, unaware of exactly how much danger they were stepping into.
Sam looked over and nodded to Stevie. "Will do, though I'll be heading to the college as soon as I bring them back here. I'll wait outside for you to finish your exam, just in case you start feeling any urges to turn." He put the pizza in the microwave, then went in the living room and turned on the television to wait while it cooked. He didn't really care what they watched, he just wanted to eat and relax. The past few days had been the best and worst of his life, in almost equal measure. On the one hand, he was now with the love of his life, but on the other, they were both afflicted with a terrible curse. The stress of the latter was something he needed to get off of his mind.

Once the pizza finished, he took two plates and grabbed a few slices for both of them. He guessed she was just as hungry as he was, so there wasn't much left for later. Sitting down on the couch next to Stevie, he handed her a plate, and put his arm around her shoulder.
Sam took a few sniffs of the air and nodded in agreement. "Yeah. Honestly, I think I preferred having a normal sense of smell. We might have to clean this place up some, though I suppose we will end up getting used to it. Your brain eventually cancels out constants, like smells. At any rate, I might join you in that shower." He said with a chuckle before stepping into the kitchen. It had been a while since they purchased groceries, so they didn't have too great of a selection. "I think something quick would be best. Let's see...there's a microwave pizza in here. That's decently filling. I'm not really that picky at the moment." He said, taking the pizza out of the freezer and preparing it to go in the microwave.
Sam cocked his head to the side. "Did you take a mythology class in high school?" He asked before shrugging it off and moving on. "Well, anyway, it might have been because of the moon, but we can only really guess at this point. I suppose we should stay near the woods next time a full moon rolls around, in any case."

After a few moments, Sam finally let go of her and looked around the apartment. Nothing had been disturbed, so no one had broken in while they were gone. Like Stevie, Sam also was not feeling any particular urges to transform, so he figured they at least didn't have to worry about turning that night. "I don't know about you, but I'm pretty hungry. We haven't eaten all day. I think I'm going to make something, what would you like?" He asked.
Allaina was quite nervous at the attention suddenly being directed at her. The alcohol she had been drinking had just began to affect her, so she was feeling strange, and her senses were not quite as sharp as normal. She still wasn't familiar enough with talking to others to catch on to Serge's intentions, but she at least understood what a handshake was. After taking another drink, she reached out and took Serge's hand. "Oh, um, sorry." She said, taking his words literally. She found him attractive, but at the same time intimidating.

Sharee was obviously aware of Serge's intentions; he was broadcasting them as loudly as a lamia's shriek. She wasn't against it, as long as Allaina was willing in the matter. Of course, knowing the Bosmer girl, she would end up asking her what to do if she got confused at his advances. Sharee would probably encourage her to go along with it and enjoy herself, but not before letting this Serge know exactly what would happen if any harm befell her. Allaina was completely loyal to her, so Sharee was going to make sure to protect that investment. She looked back at the Breton, taking a drink of her brandy. She did nothing to dissuade him, but neither did she encourage him. For now, she was just going to wait and see.
