Ahnasha reached over and grabbed the pastry from Fendros' hands. "If that's the case, give it to me. It wouldn't be a good idea for you to finish this." She looked at the pastry and took a few sniffs of its scent. "This definitely has moon sugar. Just...don't eat any more. Its effects are stronger on non-Khajiit. It is not nearly as strong as skooma...maybe expect some euphoria, a feeling of lightness, and some drowsiness after all that wears off. Just...stick close to me, alright?" She said with a forced smile, as she was quite concerned for him. Moon sugar could be addictive, especially to non-Khajiit, so she didn't want him trying to find more.

Meesei accepted the chestnut from Saboo, then bid both of them farewell. As she was returning to the rest of the group, she turned her attention back to the competition. Rukeewei's wine had been judged, and excitingly, he had the highest score so far. However, there were three entries remaining that had not yet been judged, so he was by no means guaranteed a win. One wine that the judges had not yet tasted, made by an Altmer participant, Meesei thought was particularly good, to the point that she really wasn't sure herself which she liked more.

As Meesei returned to the group, she noticed that Fendros had a worried look on his face and seemed to be acting strangely. "Is something wrong, Fendros?" She asked with obvious concern.
Sam held Stevie close as she fell asleep. After the stress of the past few days, he could understand why she would be tired. It wasn't late, so he wasn't ready to sleep, but he was content relaxing where he was and thinking about what to do the next day. He had already picked out a good spot in his mind on where they should make their camp. The part of the forest they originally went to did not see visitors often, but there were trails going through it. He knew of a place that was completely undeveloped which no one really had a reason to go to that would be a perfect spot for them. He really didn't know if they were supposed to be there, but neither did he care.

After a few hours, Sam carried Stevie to their bed, then he went to sleep a bit early himself so they could get an early start on the next day.
Swims was silent for what seemed like an eternity upon Veria's question. He knew he hadn't misheard her this time, and by how fast her heart was beating, he had an idea what she was feeling. He looked into her eyes, trying to say something, but finding no words. Everything seemed so unreal, and for a while he had no idea what to do. After a few more moments of looking at her, however, he leaned in and gave her a kiss. Considering that she did not have a long snout like him, it felt different than he expected, but not unpleasant.

"Yes." He finally answered simply.
Ssarak Dyrackthanose
Ssarak noticed Meirin's gaze and nodded. She would be more well-suited to talk to him than himself, and one of them needed to see who was wounded in the infirmary. He gave a polite nod to the boy, then entered the infirmary. He looked around the room, but was not really sure where to begin. No matter what he did, he needed to avoid getting in the way of the medical staff, so he mostly stuck to the sidelines. As expected, the entire room was filled with people with various degrees of injuries. Some looked like they would be fine without help, while others were maimed to the point that all the healers could do was make their last moments painless. As much as it pained him, he focused on the latter group closely. The sheer thought of seeing a friend in that state struck fear into his heart, but to be able to grieve would be better than just not knowing. The only thing keeping him out of depression was the knowledge that at least most of these people had a chance. The college's healers were probably some of the best in Tien, so if anyone could save them, it was them. The infirmary had evidently held out against the demons' assault, so not all of the college's healers had perished. When Ssarak's village was attacked, almost everyone who could have helped the wounded had been killed, so many who did survive had been doomed to a slow death. Ssarak considered it a mercy that most of them had died before he returned, as it meant he did not have to witness their lives extinguishing around him.
I think I'm going to put Ssarak in the infirmary to check on the status of people. Who is in there at the moment? I remember Alaira, Khan, and Mar.
Veria's answer was not all that convincing, but Swims was too nervous to ask about it. "Oh, uh, I thought you said something about a feeling...or something." He said nervously. His heart was pounding hard enough that Veria could probably feel it. He could see that she was redder than usual, but he was too distracted to remember what that meant on a Human. He wanted to say something, anything, to her, but was too afraid to do anything.
Sam closed his eyes and leaned up against Stevie as he gave his massage. He smiled, simply enjoying her presence. "Agreed. For now, I'm just content sitting here with you. It's relaxing having nothing to worry about, no reason to get worked up about anything. Just...sit and talk. Maybe we'll be able to have more moments like this once we get a handle on our abilities."
Swims heard what Veria said, but he didn't believe it. He must have misheard her, right? There was no way an Imperial like her could be attracted to an Argonian like him, it just wasn't normal. They were too different; his own feelings for her were probably just some fluke, something that wasn't meant to be. He had never seen an Argonian with a Human before, what would his parents think? Did he even care what they thought? Swims' mind was in turmoil from the conflicting thoughts and emotions in his head. He wanted to be with her, but he just didn't think she wanted the same. "What did you say?" He finally asked in a soft voice.
Sam smiled, then leaned in and kissed Stevie, rubbing her shoulders to calm her. "Don't worry so much, we can make everything believable. We can...we can tell them that we made a friend that has a place on the beach or something, and we are going to be visiting from time to time. They'll probably ask if they can join, but we can just tell them our 'friend' said no. As long as we're careful, no one will figure us out."
Ahnasha scratched the back of her head and thought for a moment. "Well, I'm not sure, actually. They smelled pretty much exactly right, but with all the scents in the air, the specifics were hard to pick out. Moon sugar is illegal though, so I doubt they would just let someone...well, I don't know. This isn't the Empire. The Imperials are strict about their rules on moon sugar, but I have no idea what those rules are like in Black Marsh. Would the Argonians even care? I know moon sugar is legal in the Dominion, so it's not impossible."

Meesei took the chestnut Saboo offered her and began to open it with her claws. "It is hard to define exactly what I do, really. I suppose you could say I am a travelling mage, a scholar. Not all of my friends are mages, but we travel together just the same. We have seen large portions of Black Marsh, Morrowind, and Cyrodiil, but I doubt we will ever stop traveling. There is always more to see. As for Ariel and her shop, if she does not have specifically what you need, you should ask her about it when you visit. I'm sure she could make anything with the right ingredients."
