Sharee crossed her arms and nodded. "Good. Since you're being so cooperative, I'll keep it nice and simple. Fifteen lashes, on the deck, in front of the crew. I'll say what you did, then deliver the punishment myself. We have work to do now, so we're not doing it right this second. Later this afternoon, maybe early tomorrow morning depending on how things go. Now, you still have duties to perform. Get ashore, get what you need for the infirmary, and keep an eye out for any marks. You stay cooperative and impress me with your performance and I might even give you a bit of extra leniency."

As she spoke, Sharee got herself dressed in her leather pants and chainmail vest, and armed with her cutlass and daggers. In order to avoid looking too threatening, she left her crossbow behind and kept her smaller blades well-hidden. As usual, she also carried a bag filled with useful potions and poisons of her own make. The situation with Noelle had her annoyed, but she needed to think clearly enough not to make any mistakes. Sharee could not afford to let the offense slide, as using her magic to manipulate herself or the other officers was definitely unacceptable. However, she needed to be careful not to be too hard on Noelle, as her illusions could be immensely useful as well, not to mention her role in the infirmary. While she would quite enjoy making the Breton suffer, she needed to make the flogging quick and limit the lasting pain to make sure she wasn't too resentful.

Once she was ready, Sharee shepherded Noelle out of her quarters, then left just behind her. To her surprise, Kayal was waiting right by the door, though Sharee did not show any visible reaction at first. After locking the door to her cabin, she motioned for Kayal to follow so they could walk and talk. She had already been delayed long enough and needed to get ashore. "Enjoy the conversation? What do you want?"

So, are we all now just coming up with posts as to why we meet up? And will we all meet in a single place right off the bat, or catch up with individuals, makes small groups, and then the groups all meet up?

Basically, now is the time, if you like, to do an intro to your character. You can have your character be alone, or with another character if you decide you want them to know each other. Then, each character will be ordered by someone (whatever is appropriate to the character) to go to the city of Concord on Pax to meet with the Assembly for a joint operation between the various species. I plan on posting once everyone else gets a chance.
No need to rush to quickly. The advantage of this kind of beginning is that it lets everyone give a good intro to introduce their character. The downside is that it can take some time to get everyone together.
Meesei drank her tea silently at first. It was made with ingredients she was accustomed to, so it tasted rather familiar. One of the effects of the drink was an increase in energy and alertness, so Sabine seemed to spring to life to some extent after a few minutes. When the conversation shifted to Sabine's alchemy, she brought up the coven to Tunxeek, who of course did not have any experience with what she was talking about.

"Witches are people who have dedicated themselves to studying any type of magic they can. They are not often well-liked, as they sometimes study magic that people consider morally wrong. Sabine was raised with them, but left them years ago and has been with us ever since." Meesei explained.
Kaleeth leaned onto Janius and tried to relax as much as possible. Even with the change of topic, the entire situation had filled her with stress. She had the sensation in the pit of her stomach that something could go wrong at any minute. Even if she knew that was unlikely, she couldn't get rid of the feeling. Still, she put on a smile and started to scratch the wamasu's neck. "I have heard stories of Saxhleel in the past keeping wamasu, but my village has never tried it. I do not know if it is possible, or if they are just stories."

The wamasu shifted around for a few moments in Janius' arms before curling up and closing its eyes. Evidently, Jumps' activity level had exhausted it. "I don't know what a dog is, but wamasu can grow quickly. It will be bigger than me in a few years. I don't know if they are smart though. They are good at hunting, but that could be just instinct...and lightning. It is usually hard to get close to wamasu to learn about them, especially if they are alive. I wonder if Jumps is...boy or girl? I know the males get aggressive during mating season, and females get aggressive if they have eggs."
I suppose Leon may not be on until later, so if you need me to make a post allowing you to continue on, New Yorker, I will.
Sharee was quite obviously furious, but she did not turn violent, not yet. Instead, she sneered at Noelle, then took a seat across from her at the table. She leaned forward, glaring at the Breton before her. "So, you thought it wise to try and manipulate me? I don't care how to try to pretty it up, you used your magic to try to subvert my own thoughts, it doesn't even really matter for what reason. You reached into the mind of me, your captain, to try and influence me into giving you what you wanted. I [i[hope[/i] you can see why that is unacceptable, and cannot go unpunished. Now, I'm a woman of my word. You confessed when asked, so you still have your job and your pay, but I cannot, nor would I want to, just let this go. Right now, you have two choices. Choice one is that you give in and accept your punishment with some dignity. You put up no resistance and let me do what I need to do to give a good example of why my crew shouldn't cross me and I'll cut the severity of your punishment in half. We'll get it over with, then get back to business as usual. Choice two is that you try to escape your punishment, I detain you, then I punish you anyway, at full severity. I can guarantee that things won't be the same for you after that. Now, make your choice, what will it be?"
I thought of an idea of how to let everyone move on to the island without Sharee for the moment, in the event that the post(s) I'm waiting for take too long, so you won't be bored and our newest members won't have to keep waiting. It is late now, and I need to go to bed, but I may implement it tomorrow if needed. I'll still be controlling a character too.

A bit off topic, but I made Kahl in Morrowind .

I also made my character in Morrowind. (I may have modded it...just a little bit.)

You also didn't say he died immediately with a basketball sized hole in his chest, so...there's that. I could believe it if his armor slowed its velocity considerably, but your post implied that the armor had very little influence on the round itself.
Yeah...a 50 cal to the chest, fired at the blinding speeds that human weapons shoot in this universe, would leave a very giant hole. Definitely lethal.
