I think you are overestimating how much skooma would be in these ships. It is very valuable per bottle, which also means you are not going to find that many bottles in one place. A large shipment would be several crates worth, but not all the crates in the ship. The skooma, combined with the more legitimate cargo, would still provide a large margin of profit, since they just stole it all.

Also, I think I am going to wait a bit to see if reganza posts. Plus, I'm rather tired.
It all sounds like something that would take a while to accomplish. Right now, the ship is running on very little resources. They don't have much gold to spend, so anything malakaus does will have to be paid for by the proceeds from what he scavenged off the boat. Once they complete a job successfully, that will change.
Eh, we can keep going on the current course.
Sharee leaned up against the wall of one of the nearby warehouses and crossed her arms in silence, thinking about all the options on the table. Nothing sounded easy, but then again, she didn't expect it to be. "What it sounds like to me is that we have choices, multiple paths to take. The ship you describe sounds tough, a hard target that has probably been doing this for a while. Now, if that is true, then there are also some other things I can reasonably assume about them. Skooma smuggling is a lucrative business, and experienced smugglers know how to maximize their profits. You might think that selling in Elsweyr would be the most profitable venture, but that isn't actually the case. You see, while demand is higher in Elsweyr, so is supply. Even if it is illegal, realistically, no one gets arrested for the skooma trade in Elsweyr. It's a safe stop for novice smugglers. The real gold is made elsewhere, and that means having to deal with authorities. Normally, trading vessels in the Dominion have the option of getting escorts for their ships, but that requires having your cargo searched. If you're carrying illicit goods, you're going to pass on that escort. This ship, the Miriam, is probably heading for somewhere like Valenwood or Alinor. If they're really ambitious, they might even sell it somewhere in the Empire, since the price is higher there. It probably will not have an escort, but as you said, it is going to be prepared for attacks. It will still be a tough target to hit."

Turning her attention to the Khajiit, Sharee moved on to her next idea. "Our other option is taking on his old master's vessel. Just by looking at it, I can tell it isn't as tough. Not as much armor, not as many ballistae. It probably won't be as lucrative, but it could potentially be easier. What's your name, Kahl, right? Where is your old captain planning on selling his goods once he leaves the island?"
I don't think I'll be going past tomorrow (technically today) without posting.
Sorry if I am delayed in my response. I feel like I just can't think right now. I was writing for something else and just staring at the page, thinking of nothing.
"Well, if you had no plans, perhaps we could go to where your trial is being held and wait there. The Treeminder will probably be there to speak to, and likely your friend Tunxeek as well. If we are fortunate, your opponent may be there as well, so you could get a chance to meet him before it is time for the fight. It is possible you might be able to get a sense of what kind of person he is by speaking to him. I doubt it would matter much for the fight, but you never know what will be useful." Meesei suggested as she finished off her breakfast.

Kaleeth returned the kiss even more deeply, then started on her breakfast while watching Leaps. "Well, I am with you, and since you are the sun on my scales, I feel warm. I was going to ask you if you wanted to go on a hunt today, but I think it is going to rain. All the scents and tracks will go away. I am sure we can find other things to do, though." Kaleeth answered.
At the moment, I'm managing about a dozen things, but I'm trying to keep up with everything. I understand if Legion is having a difficult time posting, so when we get through the current conversation, I'll have her approach.
I was waiting on leon. My next one was reliant on his.
Sharee was quite adept at remaining inconspicuous while observing the ship. She only gave it passing glances to look at it directly, while keeping it in the periphery of her vision the rest of the time. She walked around the docks with the others with an air of confidence, which was enough to convince most people that was supposed to be there. All the while, she was making note of what defenses she could see from their vantage point.

"If you prove yourself useful, you'll get whatever you want. Noelle, is this the same ship you saw, or a different one?" Sharee asked, trying to piece together all the information she had available. The plan was still to hit their target shortly after it left port, but they would only get one shot at it, so they needed to pick the right target the first time.
