Sharee spent a few minutes in her room, contemplating the exact right level of punishment she wanted to give. She was not going to ignore Noelle's crimes, but in all honesty, she didn't care a great deal about what Noelle had done. The purpose of this little show was more to give a small taste to the crew of what would happen if they crossed her. They needed to know she would not let such offenses slide. On the other hand, Noelle was being cooperative, and she had not gone lax in her duties. Sharee needed to proceed with a delicate balance of punishment and mercy, as despite her attempted manipulation, she was shaping up to be a valuable part of the crew.

As she found the whip she was looking for, she came to a decision on what to do. She was still going to deliver the fifteen lashes, but there was one thing she could do to lessen the severity without letting the crowd know. Sharee took a healing potion, then poured a portion of it into a larger flask. From there, she added water to dilute it, then slowly poured it over the end of the whip. While the potion would be too dilute to actually close a wound any noticeable amount, it would have an affect on the pain Noelle felt. Each initial strike would hurt almost as much as normal, but the pain would taper off quickly afterwards to the point of being barely noticeable. It would be enough to make sure she felt the pain, but that she didn't have to suffer for too long after each hit. Noelle would undoubtedly notice that the pain was not what she expected, so Sharee would need to make it clear afterwards that Noelle was not to share that bit of information. Otherwise, that would negate the purpose of making this an example to the rest of the crew.

Sharee walked back outside with whip in hand, then collected a long enough length of rope for her purposes before walking up to Noelle. Pretty much everyone on the ship was now above deck chatting amongst themselves, though Sharee would wait to grab their attention until the main event was prepared. She threw one end of the rope over the boom above Noelle's head, then grabbed both ends once it fell back down the other side. "Alright, I'm going to tie your hands together above your head to keep you in place. I'm going to give a little introduction to the rest of the crew, then we'll get started. Fifteen lashes, then we're done."

As Sharee stepped past Noelle, she quickly brought her snout up to Noelle's ear and whispered to her. "Make sure you put on a good show, and we won't have to do this again."

Bringing herself once again back to a normal distance and normal speaking volume, Sharee continued. "Now, those robes, they're enchanted, right? Remove them, else I'll end up shredding them to pieces. Do that and I'll give the introduction, then I can tie you up and begin."

Turning away from Noelle, Sharee raised a hand in the air and shouted to get everyone's attention. "Alright everyone, listen up. I have a very special show for you this evening, courtesy of our very own healer Noelle. Such an...ambitious soul she is that she decided to take a stab at manipulating your captain. Tricking me through most...dishonest means into doing what she wanted. Now, I understand we're all a bit selfish. She is, I am, you are, it is a fact of life. But, here on this ship, we are going to be selfish together. You can take what you want, fill your pockets full of as much coin as you can find...as long as it does not come from a crew member. We're all going to get rich here. I'm not big on rules and regulation, which is why there are only two you need to worry about. Listen to me and the other officers, and don't do anything that hurts the ship or it's crew. Otherwise, well, you see what happens." Sharee announced, grabbing the rope and waiting for Noelle to be ready so she could tie her to the mast.
I see no harm in it, though I wouldn't call it necessary.
On the topic of free's frustrations, I believe I wish to be involved in that conversation as well. I share some of his concerns and really think there are ways this whole thing might be improved for everyone. There are some aspects of the RP that can be frustrating that you might not see from your point of view, being GMs.

Ssuuuure... Anyway, I like that idea! Hold onto it for a couple days so I can actually finish my College semester this week xdEdit: Anyway, Lucius, he's replied to me. Said it was fine, I can probably take a pic of the conversation and send it to you, but I think I'll ask Commander to send you his confirmation tomorrow instead.

Already mentioned it in the other OOC.
Yeah, I gave that approval.

Though to me, the player count seems a bit arbitrary.

Sooo...Why does Ssarak get a side story? Doesn't that imply he's more important than the rest of us?

You should join the side story.
I was pretty busy today, but tomorrow is looking a bit cleaner for me. Hopefully I can write up what I need for the first post.

I haven't been posting because I don't really have anything to do at this point except wait.

Sharee has called everyone to the top deck, and since your character is there as well, you could make a post commenting on that. It is apparent at this point that she has something special in mind.
Rareth took a seat on a nearby couch to relax while she waited for her breakfast. Hopefully, her breakfast would make her less likely to vomit than Shiva's. Rareth still found it interesting that the two Masulu had elected to take different rooms. Perhaps it was intentional, and Shiva was meant to help gather information on others in the team, away from Shuo, who might be considered a superior. Or, perhaps she simply did not want to spend her off time with her commanding officer. That also seemed to be a reasonable assumption. Either way, Rareth had not had reason to speak very much to Shuo, while she had gotten to know Shiva at least a bit better.

"The ability is nice, but as Shuo said, it has its downsides. In more...hazardous situations, you have to be acutely aware of your surroundings at all times, and you have to be ready to react in an instant. When you can be anywhere at any time, you have to start approaching situations differently. Spaces become a lot less linear once you learn how to use teleportation properly. That might be something worth teaching the rest of you. We're going to be working together after all, so it would be best if we are all aware of how we can use each other's abilities, whether that be teleporting, healing, or cooking up seafood foul enough to make your opponent vomit." Rareth commented with a laugh.
Thorantilth gave a slight shrug in response to Fendros. "That creature has been Kaleeth's responsibility since she found it, so I suppose it remains hers. Certainly, there is no one I know of who wishes to be responsible for it. You should take it with you; it is your choice on whether or not to keep it."

Zharanthixil showed no real emotion in his expression other than an accepting nod. "See that you do." He said simply before turning away from Janius and to his daughter. His normally stoic visage gave way to one that subtly gave away his sadness. For a few moments, he just looked upon his daughter's face in silence before finally speaking up. "Kaleeth...wait here a moment. There is one last thing I would give to you."

Stepping away for a brief moment, Zharanthixil walked into his hut, then returned a few minutes later with something in his arms wrapped in cloth. He presented it to Kaleeth, who accepted it, then pulled back the cloth to see what it was. As soon as she recognized it, her eyes widened and she looked back up to her father.

"The wamasu armor? But I never..." She began before Zharanthixil interrupted with a slight smile.

"I finished it for you, while you were lost. I know it is a bit against tradition, but if something had happened to you, I could not stand the thoughts of your last great accomplishment going unfinished. Now that you are going out alone into the world, it is only right that you have it so that it may serve and protect you on your journey. Use it to remember your home, to remember that you are and always will be a hunter, and to remember your mother and father, who love you and could not be any more proud of you." Immediately as he finished speaking, both himself and his wife wrapped their arms around their daughter, unashamedly letting out their emotions.

When they finally pulled away from each other, Kaleeth tried to stay strong as she looked at them. "Mother, father...goodbye. I love you."

Kaleeth maintained a somewhat strong expression up to the point where she turned around and started heading towards the pack. Once they were unable to see her face clearly, she looked down at the armor she was carrying with tears in her eyes and perhaps the most saddened expression she had ever bore.
