For my next post, can I assume the wagon is making it off of the bridge? The rope would have to have been cut right at the end of the bridge, so they would all have to basically be off of it.
Kaleeth was quiet as she listened to Janius. His words were kind and compassionate, but for the longest time, even after he finished speaking, she did not raise her gaze off of the floor. Almost a minute passed before she looked up at him with tears in her eyes...and baring her teeth. "No!" She shouted, pulling away from Janius and standing up to face him.

"You keep saying that. You keep saying I am so strong, and brave, and everything else. But it's not true! I'm not brave; I'm not strong. I'm not good enough, Janius. You know it is true. I was never a really skilled hunter, or a skilled fighter, and I'm definitely not a skilled lycan. I got through training as a hunter because my egg-brother helped me, I survived my trial because I was lucky, I killed the wamasu because you were there to hold it down. I couldn't do any of that on my own. Maybe one day I can be strong, but I am not strong now. I can't fight in your war; if I do, I will die. Janius...I don't want someone to tell me lies about how great I am, I want someone who cares enough to be honest, who will tell me how many mistakes I am making. That's how father was. He never let any of my mistakes go; he always told me where I was doing wrong, so I wouldn't do it again. I would have died without him. I just wish you cared enough to do the same. If I don't die in this place, you and Meesei can keep teaching me control, then...I don't know." She said before abruptly stopping and walking over to the other side of the bed. She laid down, facing away from Janius, and said nothing more. She was done talking.
Nice, Konan posted. I was skeptical before, but with three people on that rope, I think they can hold it up, especially with the mechanical advantage of the rope. Regardless, though, I don't think there will be a soul present not angered with Alaira after they deal with the bandits. The conversation following will definitely be interesting.

Also, Fallen, I've been wondering, why are you still a unicorn?
I foresee the aftermath of this ambush being very interesting. When do you think you'll post the next effect, Lucius? Hopefully, my internet at home will be active when I get there. It was out due to a storm this morning.
Interesting. That might be because of the post number we have reached.

I may or may not be on later, depending on if this storm has knocked out the internet at my house.
Kaleeth sat up, though not at all on her own. She wasn't motivated to do anything herself, but rather was just going along with Janius. She sniffed and kept her head low, not making eye contact during the lengthy pause after Janius' question. "Yes, the entire time, mostly. I had nothing to help me survive, nothing to help me get back home. Father had taught me how to stay alive and how to find my way back, and I tried to do what he said, but...I was always afraid. It felt hopeless; I made so many mistakes. I got turned around, I had a hard time finding food because my spears kept breaking, and it is hard to find plants you can eat in the swamp, at least in some places. After a few days, I felt hungry all the time. I did find my way home, but I hated the entire trial. I felt like just giving up after getting lost a few times, but I did have at least a bit of hope of finding the village again. Now, though...now I am always afraid, always unhappy, and I have no hope of seeing home again."

Meesei sat down on her bed in a meditative stance, breathing in and out slowly. Certainly, she agreed that Kaleeth would be happier in her village, and it wasn't a complete impossibility, but it was unlikely enough that she had to temper her expectations. "I would like to be able to return her to her village, but if that is even possible, it will take a long time to happen. For now, we need to worry about our current troubles. Provided we receive a task from Neesa, it could be something we find objectionable. We cannot afford to refuse, however, so if it comes to that, I will perform whatever acts are necessary, if at all possible. Hopefully, you will not have to do anything you find wrong."
"It looks like this hanger has been out of use for some time, but you're right. They are not numerous enough to maintain a presence on the entire station at the same time. Still, be on your guard; we don't know how often they send patrols down here." Rareth observed before activating her wrist computer and projecting the schematics of the station in front of her. "There are a few data centers that the rebels might be using to store their records. I would say we might try getting in remotely, but that opens up more room for detection. Plus, they might not even have that information on the network. Our best bet will be to access it directly. The closest location is three floors up, and about halfway to the far south side of the station. Patrols on the bottom floors should be sparse enough that we can use a direct route, but after that, we may need to get creative. Shuo, have your drones take point, I'll take the lead behind them. Anyone who isn't good as staying hidden, stay back a bit. If we encounter anyone we need to avoid them, or kill them quietly. Now, let's move."

With the insect-sized drones scouting for them, they were able to move through the corridors without much worry of running into someone accidentally. To get up to the proper floor, they were heading to the nearest elevator. They were not actually going to use it, but rather climb up maintenance ladders in the elevator shaft. Fortunately, the station didn't rely exclusively on mechanical labor, so they still had need of said ladders. It was not too far from the hanger, but they had to stop short, as Shuo's drones spotted a group ahead...right at the elevator. Two of them were obviously guards, while the third seemed to be performing repairs on the elevator itself. They didn't need the elevator to work, but they did need to get through, and there was no way they could sneak in while the rebels were present.

"Okay, we can't get past while that group is there, so we'll have to neutralize them. I need someone to help me take them out quickly." Rareth requested.
Well, they have trillions upon trillions to work with...
I know, I always spoil everything with my physics and stuff. Maybe I can spoil things in astronomy too? How is the rest of the universe after the world ended? Earth is a pretty insignificant part of the Universe, overall.

I'm kind of hoping this kills her. I just found and image of her arms getting torn off.

Realistically, it wouldn't tear her apart, it would just pull her into the river. Her grip, or her traction on the ground beneath her, would break far sooner than anything else. Ssarak's lending a hand, though.
