The punishment for Caleb should be decided after the trial, likely, among many other things. If you think we should rp through speaking to Gorlak, we can do that next.
"Until we meet again." Tarentek said as Onyx took her leave. Once she was gone, he went about making breakfast at his own, leisurely pace. He started to slowly sear a fish, along with a few mixed vegetables. With the way it was being prepared, it took longer to make than a normal breakfast, but he had the time to kill.

As he waited for the fish to cook, Tarentek leaned back in a chair in the main room, thinking on the day ahead. Technically, he did not have to stay in Onyx's home, but he was still nervous about being out in public alone in the village. It would cause less trouble for him to stay out of sight. He just needed to find a way to pass the time alone. Unfortunately, a lot of what he would do back in Amman, such as training, required more space than the inside of Onyx's relatively small home. As he sat in the chair thinking, he looked up at the ceiling and let out a sigh. "Okay, this is going to get boring." He muttered to himself.
I think I might start writing my next flashback post, though I'll probably give a shorter post in the morning first.
So, what else do you think we need to do before the trial? After getting the results from the test on the poison, Meesei is going to do as much investigating as possible. She herself will be watching Harriet and allowing her to build her defense, but she will have others looking into things. Particularly, she will have them searching for evidence of any other point at which Jerrick could have been poisoned. Also, Meesei certainly would have had either Gorlak or the other one search Harriet's room by this point, probably in the night or early morning before the announcement. I just didn't get a chance to go through it in IC.
"Hmm, and you truly believe that Harriet's packs will believe Galsek to be framed, even after seeing that we are allowing Caleb be sentenced by the one he attempted to kill? You know your people, and I will trust your advice, but..." Meesei began, her mind shifting to the thoughts this entire situation had brought up within her since Jerrick first explained it to her. By all accounts, he was an honorable individual and an effective leader, but there was one mistake of his she saw that had allowed all of this to happen. It likely started with good intentions, and he may have even inherited the issue with his position, but it was a weakness of the clan that threatened its very existence.

Meesei let out a deep breath. "I never thought I would say this, but loyalty is a problem in the clan. Its members are more loyal to people than our lord Hircine, and they are loyal to different people. I have noticed it ever since we arrived, the division among the packs. The people are separated into these groups which isolate themselves from one another. They don't know their brothers and sisters from some other packs, and they form suspicions of them. It is why this murder, this situation we are in, is so dangerous. There are people who would be willing to fight against their clan based only on their faith in their leader. The clan does need the loyalty, and the structure of the current system, but what it needs most is unity. The people need to get to know all of their brothers and sisters, at least to the point where they can see that they are not so different. The scholars should know the scouts who keep watch over the area; the warriors should know the alchemists who brew their potions. After all of this is over, after the traitor has been sentenced and a new leader selected, we need to tackle this issue. We have to build unity, so that this cannot happen again."
I'm here whenever we're ready to get moving. I'm not sure exactly what it is Sep is intending to do, so I'm hesitant to write anything at the moment.
As the first rays of light slowly started to filter into his room, Tarentek awoke with a yawn. It had been another uneventful night, which was honestly how he preferred them at this point. Today in particular, the day was likely going to be just as uneventful as the night. Normally, he would wake himself up quickly, get dressed, check his equipment, and get straight to breakfast in preparation for the day, but today, none of that was necessary. He stayed laying in bed for longer than usual, getting up only once he heard movement in the other room.

Tarentek stepped into the main room somewhat lazily, letting out another yawn before greeting Onyx. "Good morning. I assume you're getting ready for your big day. I wish you the best of luck in that; I look forward to seeing the full adult Onyx, or what is it you'll be called? Bri'nx? After it is over. Do you think you have time for a quick breakfast, or do you need to get going right away?"
"They're not really slaves, exactly. Their arrangement is different from that, from my understanding. Also, as I've said, these aren't really my people. My people are the Karisskan and other naturalized citizens of Amman. Truthfully, I don't have much in the way of kinship with the people of Tel Nof." Tarentek clarified as they finished cleaning up the kitchen.

"I should be fine for tomorrow. You've just restocked your kitchen, so it isn't as if I will have need of anything. I would say I'm going to take the chance to talk to your father about the others joining us on the mission, but I assume your father is going to be present at your ritual. I'll just have to find some other way to pass the time. If nothing else, I can try to take an extended nap." He answered, shrugging his shoulders.
Tarentek nodded. "There are rules specific to the court, yes. Actually, when I was there, they sent someone to us beforehand to instruct us on their rules. It seems they are not so unreasonable as to punish people for rules they know nothing about. No, they make sure to tell you the rules before arresting you for breaking them. Still, I will tell everyone all that I remember. A lot of the etiquette is simple...fluff, is how I would describe it. Who to bow to; who walks in front when you're going somewhere. That kind of thing. One thing I found strange was that guests, or anyone, really, are forbidden from talking with any of the servants while in the palace. There are specific officials who are permitted to relay orders to the servants. It's a security thing, I believe. All of the servants are...well I don't know if slaves is the right term. They all live quite well, and actually receive a good amount of respect in the palace. But, all of them are hatched in the palace, and are forbidden from speaking with anyone outside the palace...ever. Through their entire lives. I think it is meant to ensure that no outside plots ever find their way into the minds of the monarch's servants."

Though she had not asked, Tarentek paused a moment to help clean up. By this point, he had been in Onyx's home long enough to know everything's proper place. "As for meeting the Queen herself, it is actually possible. She does have advisers and other officials who can act on her behalf, but what we are going to be asking of her people is pretty major. We're asking for a military alliance against a force greater than her city could hope to conquer alone. That is important enough for the Queen herself to take interest. If that happens, just do whatever she says. We're not going to be allowed any security in her presence, so it will just be us who has to worry about that."
I finally figured out the name of the weapon I described for Ssarak. It's a variant of the pollaxe, with an axe and hammerhead.
