Never mind, I couldn't bring myself to go to bed without responding. Now I'm going to sleep. Goodnight.
Ssarak heard the voice of someone beside him, though with the shouting in his head, he couldn’t make out what the person said. He turned his head and looked at the Human beside him, his eyes watering from the intense pain he was in. She appeared to be concerned, so she probably had been asking if he was alright, or perhaps if he needed help. He had been ill prepared for this situation. Although he had experienced accidental mind reading plenty of times before, it had never happened in a place so crowded. He couldn’t have imagined what it would be like to hear so many thoughts and feelings at once, and now he was paying the price.

Ssarak groaned in pain, trying to concentrate enough to at least think about how to stop this madness. Eventually, he reclaimed enough of his senses to at least give a response to the Human. “I…my head. Too many thoughts at once.” He said before managing to think of a new strategy. He needed to find something to concentrate on, something to put all of his mind’s attention in one place, instead of on the thoughts of those around him. He stared at the human, deciding to focus on giving her an intelligible response.

“I am a…psychomancer. I have a terrible headache brought on…by my abilities.” He said, the pace of his words slowing significantly by the end. Closing his eyes once more, he started breathing in and out deeply, trying to calm his mind. He shifted his attention from talking, focusing all of his thoughts on the simple act of breathing.
I see Ryonara posted. Being that it is 2:30 AM, though, I'll have to wait to respond until morning, as I'll be going to bed soon.
So, I am a fan of Mass Effect and am interested. I have a few questions, though. First, how do you feel about Geth? Is this RP going under the assumption that both the Quarians and Geth survived the war, and if so, would anything prevent me from being a Geth? As they would have gained individuality in the war. I'm also wondering how the galaxy has changed in those 20 years following the war in terms of tech, society, and so on (I made an RP set in this time period once, so I have a lot of ideas, if you're open to them).
If anyone is bored, Ssarak is fighting a mental battle, and looks to be in pain.

I took out and reworded it in the CS thread.

You may want to edit it in the beginning of the OOC as well, so no new players get confused about it as I did.

You have to ask Lucius, but I'm sure there's a way. Currently rewording that magic bit right now, but I took it out to prevent confusion for the moment.

Where did you take it out? I still see it under the Esyire description.

No, the way I read it was that the flood of thoughts/emotions are giving him the headache, not the magic itself. I looked at it as more of an after result/side effect then the magic hurting him. :p-Add on- And yes, most unpracticed Novices can hurt themselves with their own magic if they aren't careful, Esyires aren't. This doesn't stop others from hurting them with the same blood however. XD

Hmm, I guess other types of mages could do cool things like cloak their flesh in fire or something. Doesn't help me, but if any other Esyire characters pop up, it's an idea for them.

Maybe Ssarak is immune to his own drugs or something.
Is it even actually possible to harm one's self with Psychomancy?

I might need to reword that a bit better because it sounds like I mean magic from any mage sporting that blood.... What I mean most students can't get hurt from their own magical displays, aka: Pryomancer Novices can't burns themselves practicing, Noxomancers can't decay themselves, etc.

Ah, so the other races can hurt themselves with it. In that case, would Ssarak be immune from harming himself reading minds? If so, I should make an edit to my last one getting rid of the headache.

Yeah, just read the Esyire description and the wording says they are unaffected by their own magic school, which would indicate that.
