If only it were not 3 AM. I'll need to post tomorrow.
Meesei listened to Fendros explain the rules of his game, which she didn't entirely understand the point of at first. Being raised in a rural village, she had never even heard of a game of that nature. If their intentions were to drink, then why would drinking be a punishment for making a mistake? Regardless, she did not have time to think, as Fendros' first example was directed at her.

"Yes." She answered quickly, as the question was a rather easy one. Since she was suddenly being put on the spot, however, she had a bit harder of a time coming up with a question."Oh, Fendros, do you...uhh, do you like...meat?" She asked awkwardly, failing to come up with something witty or interesting with so little time to think. "That...counted as hesitating, didn't it? Ah, well, I won't complain. Like I said, I rather like this drink." She added before taking a swig.
"Indeed, you never know what you'll find out here. There are all sorts of creatures that live so close to the city, but we never see them. I think it would be fun to go on an actual camping trip sometime, though we'd need to buy the supplies for it. We would also need a place to put it all; we're kind of light on storage space in our apartment. With the semester ending, though, we should have time." Sam suggested as he pulled off the road, driving along the trail toward the place he intended to park. He stopped his car in a small clearing just out of sight of the road and parked. They weren't exactly on any "official" trails, but he was at least mostly certain it wasn't illegal to be there. Regardless, no one had ever bothered them before, so he felt safe enough leaving his car there, with the doors locked, of course.

Sam got out of the car and grabbed a small backpack from the back seat, filled with a few snacks just in case they got hungry. As usual, he also carried his sidearm holstered with him, just in case they ran into a dangerous creature while on the trail. They did see a bear in the distance once, but they had never actually been in danger at any point during their hikes. Still, he thought it was best to be safe. Once Stevie was out, he locked the doors, then motioned for her to take the lead as he walked alongside her. "So, how have things been going for you? I took my last final yesterday, and I think I did reasonably well. English is always an annoying class, and I wish it wasn't required, but I think I did fine."
Lorag grunted. "Hey, I still think that thing could have been useful."

"Oh, I think it was perfectly useful. Its hide gave me a new loincloth, its meat fed us for a day or two, and its horns made for great water vessels." Meesei added. She had finished almost a quarter of her brandy by this point, and while she was still in her right mind and speaking clearly, her senses were beginning to dull.

Lorag raised his bottle in the air as if he was giving a toast. "Rest in peace, Bessie."

Meesei took another drink of her brandy and glanced over to Ahnasha. "You just be careful. I might not be there to interrupt this time. Any drunken mistakes are yours to bear." She said, staring at the bottle in her hands.

"Ah, don't worry about me; look out for your own safety. With our track record, I would be surprised if we got through tonight without putting your life in danger at least twice." Ahnasha commented, partly out of concern, partly because she wanted to shift the conversation away from herself.

And that, Commander, is were the lessons must first begin: Despite the apparent similarities, Domination and Memory Alteration are two different spells. It's not just the power level, but also the utility. Memory Alteration largely leaves the victim in control of themselves and mostly unchanged in personality, it's simply their own recollection that's effected. Memory Alteration must also be carefully planned; you can't simply use it on a thirty year old man and convince him that he's a baby girl. It might work for the first few minutes, but once he starts acting like a grown adult man the illusion breaks. Domination is different; it will force that man to be a baby girl against his will and logic. And despite this, Satori didn't even use Memory Alteration, but a simply a Wide Concentration Illusion based on individual memories. She didn't try to overwrite them, she just showed them random nightmares based on them. Also I can't think of anything else to post for Annabeth, so I'm going to say that she eventually wondered off and found herself a room to sleep in for the night. Everyone else is pretty much in the same boat.

Indeed, and I suppose one would not necessarily need Domination to manipulate others' opinions. Take their memories and thoughts to learn what they appreciate or believe, use that to form your words, maybe subtly stimulate the proper emotions when you speak. Depending on the situation, throw in an illusion like what Satori did. I imagine there is a lot you could do if you're smart about it.

I just need to figure out this whole thing with focused vs wide.
Psychomancy went from the most mysterious to possibly the most well-defined blood. I'm wondering who would be capable of teaching Domination...especially since Satori actively demonstrated some aspects of domination, like memory manipulation.
Meesei gladly took the bottle, not expecting much when she opened it, despite Fendros' warning. As soon as she uncorked it, she was overwhelmed by the strength of its aroma. Certainly, there was something a bit different about this bottle. A grin came across her face; perhaps this night would be a bit more interesting than she thought. "Hmm, I think I underestimated you." She commented as she took her first drink.

When Fendros gave his explanation for how he had been roughed up, Ahnasha couldn't help but to add her own, slightly more accurate version. "In other words, we had a game of tag and he lost." She said, taking a drink from her bottle. She felt the wine tasted just fine, and likely wouldn't have known it was "discarded" had Runt not brought it up.

"Ha! Try to outrun our little catdog did you? Even I wouldn't try that. I'll just be content with besting her in a fight;" Lorag commented.

"Oh really, like you 'bested' me in that archery challenge? You're lucky you didn't take off Meesei's head with that arrow. I will give you the victory in acting though, no one can do a one-man play quite like you." Ahnasha responded, laughing the entire time.

Lorag looked at Ahnasha, his expression unfazed. "Ah, so it's story time is it? Well, I happen to recall last time you got drunk enough to give out your own challenges. That time you decided your claws would let you beat me in a sparring match? I had you pinned to the ground for a solid half-hour before you ran out of pride and gave up. Or that time you thought you could forge an iron dagger with only a campfire, only to end up somehow burning the fur off the top of your head. Let me tell you, a bald Khajiit is about one of the funniest sights you'll ever see. Oh, and then there was that time you wanted to mate with everyone in sight..."

Ahnasha crossed her arms and hissed slightly. "Psst, that's not true. I'll give you the sparring match, but most of that didn't happen. I have no memory of any of this."

Lorag let out a deep, bellowing laugh. "I wouldn't expect you to with how drunk you were."
Ssarak was conflicted on whether or not to follow Aruna when she left. On the one hand, he could definitely understand if she needed to be alone, but she also still seemed to be confused. Eventually, as she left the dining hall, he decided not to follow, as her nightmare could have affected her on a personal level, much like his own. Ssarak went back to where he was before and found his drink, then sat down in one of the newly-vacated seats to try and make an attempt at relaxing. He had never been a heavy drinker, and often avoided using alcohol to "treat" his problems, but he wanted something to take the edge off of the stress this night had brought him.

Ssarak lost track of time as he sat alone with his thoughts, and the alcohol was having at least some effect on him by the time he noticed Leith in the dining hall sitting next to a human woman. He was far from drunk, but his senses had been dulled just enough that he decided to stop. He stood up and started to walk over towards his roommate just as he heard someone enter the room and start yelling. Screaming was far from the strangest thing he had experienced so far at the college, but what really threw him off-guard was what he saw as he turned his head. There was a human man carrying a wounded Aruna in his arms, shouting for the Vitamancy instructor. There was a bandage across her chest and quite a bit of blood, all of which was more than enough to draw Ssarak's immediate concern. Lidda, who was now in a centaur form, immediately rushed to help. Ssarak approached the group, though he made sure to keep enough distance so he would not get in the way. He remained quiet for the moment, as he did not want to interrupt the healing, but he wanted to know what happened. He was regretting not following Aruna; perhaps he could have prevented this from happening.
I'm writing a post as well.
Actually, I had misread that collab. Devan carrying Aruna into the dining room would definitely attract his attention more.
