Meesei and the others said nothing as Fendros spoke to the innkeeper, preferring instead to remain silent and listen for any hint of information she might drop. Unfortunately, she had little of useful information, other than the mention of other hunters who came through her inn. Those could have been allied to the Orc, or they could have been lycans, or perhaps simple hunters. Regardless, without any sort of hint as to where they went, the information was not useful.

Once out of the inn, Meesei stuck close to Fendros and listened to his suggestions. She did not wish to deal with the beggar. Coin could make him give them any information they wanted, but the same privilege applied to any willing to pay him. It could be that the Orc and his hunters could make use of informants such as the beggar as well. "We will go to the general store. I do not trust the beggar." Meesei whispered before leading the group along in search of the general store. She did not speak Dunmeri, but fortunately, she understood the Daedric script they used in their signs and was able to recognize which of the buildings was the general store.

As usual, the storekeeper and a few of the customers turned their attention to them when they entered the store, but quickly returned to what they were doing before. Meesei showed no reaction as she entered, letting Fendros take the lead, but there was one thing she identified the very moment she stepped inside the building, a scent that was unmistakable for those who could identify it: a lycan. There was no denying it, one of the "customers" in the store was a werewolf, likely with the same goal as themselves. She simply needed to determine which one it was.
Finally responded. Also, made a few edits to that response.

"Nothing more than staff preparing to entertain more dignitaries" Ssarak messaged back after Annabeth entered. Unless he had overexerted himself with the use of his mageblood, he almost always communicated telepathically with her, and a few other psychomancy students, for practice. Telepathy was not particularly high cost in terms of blood, but at their level, using it for extended durations could help to build endurance.

Now that Annabeth had arrived, Ssarak could more safely lift heavier weights, as she could help him in the event he dropped them. He grabbed a few extra sandbags and slung them over the pole he had been lifting, then continued to lift it as he had before. Strength in his arms was certainly important for his style of fighting, but his exercise routine neglected no part of his body. He made sure to work on muscular strength and endurance in anything from his arms and abdomen, to his legs and wings. Even his tail received some benefits from his workouts, though that was not particularly useful other than in swimming, which he had little opportunity to do since arriving at the college. Overall, his body was lean, and obviously muscular, though it had not changed a great deal since his arrival at the college. By contrast, Annabeth had gone through considerable muscular build up since they began training together, as well as gaining a slight amount of fat from her change in diet, but it was nothing that compromised her health. Her capabilities had improved proportionally with their training, though he knew she was self-conscious about some of her new features, namely her arms and calloused hands. Perhaps Ssarak was not the best judge of what humans found attractive or normal, but he felt the changes were positive ones.

"I cannot say I am particularly fond of having so many of these...guests at the college, but I suppose I understand its importance. The college needs to maintain its alliances and political standing in the world, after all. What of yourself? Any exciting news in your life?" Ssarak asked telepathically. The weights he was lifting now were straining the bounds of his abilities, though he was careful not to exert himself too greatly, in case Annabeth desired to train together after her exercises, as they had many times before over the past few months.
I wish I had time to post, but I really need to get to bed. I'll post first thing in the morning.
Sorry I haven't posted. I managed to get a few of my friends on ESO all at the same time and couldn't pass up the opportunity. I could try to post now, but it's 3 AM and I really need to go to bed. If not, I'll post first thing in the morning.
"I was about to say the same thing to you. As much as I hate it, we need to avoid drawing any sort of attention to ourselves. We already have enough of a disadvantage being such a...diverse group of people. Our hearing is better than your average mortal, though, especially mine." Ahnasha said, twitching her sizable ears slightly. "We should be able to stay out of sight and out of mind and listen in to what others have to say."

Ahnasha glanced over and saw that the others were already beginning to make their way out of camp, so she quickly threw her arms around his neck and kissed him for a few seconds. "And I certainly look forward to being able to do that again." She said with a chuckle before letting go of him and catching up with the rest of the group.

It was not a long walk to Vos, as they had made camp within sight of the city. Its tall, Imperial-styled walls masked the Dunmer city within. Unlike cities in Cyrodiil, the gates remained open unless there was a specific reason to close them, so they were able to walk inside with no issue, other than the Redoran guards, clad in bonemold armor, eyeing them down as they passed by. The buildings and structures inside the walls were made in traditional Dunmer styles from traditional materials. Though the buildings were made from clay, they were surprisingly strong. Perhaps not to the extent of the stone walls, but they were in no danger of collapsing. Meesei had no real desire to remain within any city for long, but the scholar within her had to admit that the architecture was fascinating.

As was usual for early mornings, Ssarak was in the gymnasium going through his daily exercises. Since winter had fallen over the land, it was about the only time he did not wear his fur coat. Instead, his vest and coat were laying on a bench in the corner while he lifted a few of the weights near the center of the room. He had eventually become comfortable enough in the college to remain unarmed unless he had specific need of his weapons and armor, which was rare outside of training. True to Khan's word, the college was a safe place, all things considered. Accidents were still a very real threat, but at least no one was intentionally trying to kill him.

Most days over the past few months had been busy for Ssarak. Between his classes, his private lessons with Satori, and the hours he spent daily on exercising and training, there was not too much time left for himself. Still, he had managed to make friends with some of his fellow students, especially other psychomancers, such as Annabeth. His dedication had certainly reflected in his abilities. He had learned more in a few months than years of individual practice had taught him. Due to his private lessons, he could manipulate his mageblood in ways that even most of his peers in Satori's class could not, or at least the ones who had not dedicated time to private instruction. He still was not entirely certain what he ultimately intended to do with the abilities he was learning, but having them at least opened up new options and opportunities for him.
I can't really stay up any longer. I'll just post what I have.
I was writing one where he is exercising in the gymnasium. Would that work?
Alright. I'll avoid mentioning any specifics in my next post. Honestly, I probably should have started writing sooner, as it is 3 am.
