@TheIrishJJ Gringore is all supernatural, they take everyone as they are. So he would be 211.
@TheIrishJJ To the supernatural population he is 211, if a human asked him then he would prolly say 19....He could totally tell a human he was 211, but they wouldn't believe him.
@Yahtzee XD That gif absolutely made my day!

I've only been to a college where co-ed meant that there were boy dorms in the same hall as girl dorms. That being said, this is a supernatural college, so maybe the rules are different? We'll just have to wait for the lovely @Emma to pass the verdict. ^.^

If the characters are over 18 then yes, boys and girls can share a room, but the school typically tries to keep it so its same gender to a room.

"co-ed meant that there were boy dorms in the same hall as girl dorms." --- Yes. Its like this at Gringore. The dorm is co-ed.

Thomas and James traveled around Great Britain for three years until one night, when James was attacked by a hunter and killed. Thomas killed the hunter, and was depressed for years, blaming himself for not being careful.

In 1825, Thomas decided that to take his mind off of things he should travel, and leave the England. He traveled all over Europe for over 150 years, never staying in one place for too long. It was whilst traveling that he discovered his love for languages, although he still speaks in a British accent whenever speaking English. He also managed to get a daylight charmed necklace from a witch in France shortly after leaving England, whcih he always wears. Over the years, he has also trained his body to make sure that he is never killed by a hunter.

Eye Color: True form - Cobalt blue // Human Glamour - grey blue

On her left ankle she has a tattoo of a diamond.

History/bio:
Marceline was born in St. Louis Missouri. Her mother, Sabine, had had no idea she was pregnant and went into labor as she was dancing her way through a rave. Needless to say is was an interesting and intense birth. Thankfully Marceline was born healthy and quick. Sabine not only was surprised to be giving birth, but when Marceline popped out all gold and glittery she was not very happy, as it meant her ex-fling Roscoe was the father

Sabine was never the motherly type, so when Marceline was two weeks old Sabine dropped her off at her mother’s place in Chicago. And so Marceline was mainly raised by her Grandmother Zelena, until Sabine finally got around to telling Roscoe he was a father four years later. Sabine came around every few months to crash for a few days until she was off again, she always brought a present for Marcy and her older son Lucifer.

When Roscoe was finally told about Marceline, and how he was a father, he swooped right in to take up responsibility. Marceline was four years old when she met her father for the first time, and he fell completely in love with his little girl. Roscoe didn’t want to separate Marceline from her older brother and her grandmother, so instead of living with him full time, he and Zelena set it up that Marcy would stay with him during the summer, and he would come to Chicago for holidays.

When Marceline was eight years old her mother came home 7 month pregnant, and wanted a fresh start with her children, she wanted to be a mom. So she packed up Marceline and Lucifer’s things and left with them in the middle of the night. Zelena was unhappy to lose the kids; they had come to be like children of her own.

Living with her mother in a trailer park in Arizona was very different for Marcy, compared to living in her huge two story house in Chicago, with her loving Grandmother. Sabine was practically a stranger, and one heck of a hot tempered pregnant woman. Lucifer resented their mother so the house was usually full of arguments. Marcy missed Zelena, and her home in Chicago.

Two months later Sabine gave birth to a baby girl who she named Yasmine. Having a baby sister was different, and to be totally honest Marceline hated it. Sabine dumped most of the responsibility of the taking care of baby Yasmine on Lucifer and Marceline. Weekly phone calls to Zelena, and summers spent in Vermont became her only peaceful place.

Marcy was eleven when Lucifer left to live with his biological father in Miami, after a huge fight between him and Sabine. Marceline was left alone with little Yasmine most of the time. There were many times when Sabine didn’t come home for days, and Marcy was left to completely fend for herself. Marceline was sick of it all, so she started forming a plan to runaway to live with her dad.

At first it was just a day dream, but when Sabine started bringing home her partying, and lovers Marceline was ready to put her plan into action. Leaving Yasmine behind didn’t feel like an option, but she had no idea what to do with her three year old sister. Marceline started taking luck from the kids at school, and gambling with the teenagers in the trailer park. She was saving up money for a bus ticket to Montaville Vermont, where her dad was.

And finally they day came, she dropped little Yasmine off the only other supernatural in the trailer park, an old witch. She left a message on her Grandma Zelena’s answering machine about what she was going to do, and were to find Yasmine. Then she biked three miles to the bus station. It took seven days to get to Vermont from Arizona. The greyhound bus ride was a long, but everything went rather smoothly for Marceline as she used the stored up luck. She was 12 years old and the seven day journey sealed the independent part of her personality. A strong survival instinct and sense of self-sufficiency became apparent attributes.

The greyhound bus didn’t go to Montaville, so Marceline ended up alone in Burlington Vermont. All her stolen luck used up, and her money spent. Feeling overwhelmed, scared, and exhausted she ended up sleeping inside the play place of a 24 hour McDonald’s, and tricking little kids into giving her their happy meals. After a terrible night’s sleep and a good cry in a McDonald’s bathroom, she called her big brother Lucifer. He yelled at her, and told her that Sabine, Zelena, and Roscoe were freaking out, waiting for her in Montaville, and they had sent a Shifter tracker to find her. Lucifer told her to get her ass to Montaville, and then he quietly apologized for leaving her alone, when he left to stay with his dad, and promised to come get her when he graduated high school.

She stole some more luck, and a bike. Marceline road 82 miles to Montaville, it took her over 11 hours and by the time she got there it was midnight. She had to work up the nerve to knock on her dad’s door, but when her father opened it, and scooped her up into a hug, she just started balling her eyes out and mumbling sorry. Her mother looked like she wanted to smack her in the face, and Zelena just looked worn out. Yasmine sat watching on the couch, and then started crying too when she saw Marceline. It was an emotional time, and then her dad and Zelena said they would figure everything out tomorrow. Sleep came easy, she was so tired and sore, just happy to be in her bed.

The next day her mother had left on a flight to AZ to pack up their trailer, and Zelena had left to do the same to her home in Chicago. While Marcy had slept the adults had decided it was best for her to stay with her father, but Sabine wanted to be part of her life, and Zelena was not going to allow Sabine to take care of Yasmine without supervision. So Zelena and Sabine were getting an apartment together in Montville.

She was fourteen, and it had been two good years living with her day, and seeing her mother, Zelena, and Yasmine daylily. Lucifer came to Montaville to start college at Gringore, but mainly to be near to his sisters. Sabine had come full circle, left her partying days behind, and found worked as a tattoo artist, and part-time bartender. Yasmine was just fine, and Zelena started teaching ‘Fae History’ at Gingore.

Sadly the happy times came to an end only a year later, when a group of Korikov Hunters came to town. With-in two weeks the hunters had killed, 4 vampires, 2 shifters, 5 witches, 1 pixie, and 3 gorgons. Once the whole Tellmore community figured out that it was hunters, they came down and murdered them one by one in a matter of hours. The one pixie that had been killed was Zelena. With the death of the closest thing she had to a real mother, Marceline turned to the darker side of things, and became much more manipulative, and angry. Korikov hunters made her list of things to destroy.

Now she is 19, and living in the dorms at Gringore. She has been taking the necessary classes to qualify as a guardian.

Full Name: November Theriault

Nickames/Alias/AKA: Nova

Age: 26

Gender: Female

DOB: 1st November, 1988

Occupation: Hunter

Race: Mortifero - Witch

Hair Color: Red

Eye Color: Green

Height and Build:
5'10" with an Athletic, yet willowy build. She's like her brother in that she looks more agile than strong.

Other Appearance:
Though she was mostly raised in Louisiana most of her life, Nova never really took to the accent most of her family had. If anything, she took most of her mother's New Orleans accent than her father's heavy Cajun one. Once she and her brother took to traveling the country, she quickly grew out of that, as well. She's quite exceptional at faking accents, though, which may be a reason why she lacks one. Her voice, however, is a very high pitched soprano that has an airy quality to it, though it can get very sharp and precise whenever she gets upset or heated. She knows a lot of Louisiana French and French in general, as well as Spanish and Latin.

As well, she doesn't have many distinguishing marks aside from her hair and eyes, but she does freckle more than she does tan. She's quite a lot paler than her usually well bronzed brother, of which she's intensely jealous of. How dare he. There is one things she often hides, however, and it's a group of sigils burned all down her spine. She knows exactly what they mean, but she never tells anyone.

History/bio:

[Covered Mostly in Tate's Bio]

A young witch with the gift to converse and control the dead, something deeply rooted in her family's history. Unfortunately, that meant more than just the good spirits. Her powers, once they fluctuated, attracted the scavengers of hell to spy on her talent as it grew with age. She wasn't merely more than a blip on their radar, but once she began dabbling into the occult itself, they drew their eyes toward her. Unknowing to their presence, Nova dove further and further into blacker and blacker waters until her efforts brought rotten fruit to the table. Of course, the entire act of such only came from curiosity and the naturalness that came with delving into the darker things in life. Her powers reached in so far and she, unwilling to be guided at the time, took the step in the wrong direction. And it attracted more than just malicious spirits, it brought on and rained hell upon her home.

Of course, being a witch isn't the only thing the young lady is good at. Having a huntress for a mother and a long line of ladies having taken up the Deveraux mantle, it was only natural for Nova to be interested in the dangers of a hunter. Though her talents brought her more to the lore and research of it, Nova never skimped from the actual danger and strife that came with being a hunter. She aided her brother and mother in various outings and did so with excitement. But the further she delved into her powers and into the lore itself, the further she retracted herself from her own family.

It wasn't until things erupted around her did she finally realize what she'd been doing all along. The occult sprouts many different beings and Nova had thought for sure her assumptions of the ones who offered her more knowledge was correct. Unfortunately, they took a turn for the worse and dragged Nova into a hell she thought impossible to break free from. The generosity and forgiveness of bother her Coven and hunter family was insurmountable and they reached deep into the pits to pull her from her own mistakes, at great cost. Not only that, it cost her brother his own freedom, now that he's forever tethered to her for her own protection, though he doesn't see it that way. She blames herself for a lot of mistakes, even ones outside of her control.

But that doesn't quite stop the indomitable will that comes with a Theriault-Deveraux. She only ever wants to fix the mistakes of her past and allow her brother to finally be independent of her and live his own life.

Other/Extra:
Nova is incredibly intelligent and technology savvy, with skills more in tune with the modern world. However, she's also an avid knife thrower and combatant, though not necessarily on par with her brother. She's far more capable of incapacitating her foes and devilish trickery, though acts of strength are out of her league.

Has her own blog where she likes to post various things of geek culture as well as that of the culinary arts, as she's a fabulous cook. Not really, she's actually awful at cooking, but she doesn't really see that.

She attended school one grade below her brother and, though she is a witch, she finds human customs extremely fascinating and convinced her Coven leader to, not only allow her to learn the ways of her people, but also that of humans. She is half human, after all, though she displays almost 100% witch genes.

Full Name: Tatius Brutus Theriault

Nickames/Alias/AKA: Tate Deveraux

Age: 27

Gender: Male

DOB: 19th December, 1987

Occupation: Hunter/Independent Contractor

Race: Human

Hair Color: Dark Brown

Eye Color: Blue

Height and Build: 6'1, Wiry and Flexible

Other Appearance: There are countless nicks and scars that dot the span of his body, though none are quite as deep to be considered in polite company or even cause any relapse in memory of 'those olden days.' However, one does bring a rough part of his past back to light at times of stress or upset. It runs with a pair, the first of which starts at the bridge of his nose and runs diagonally down his right side to the edge of his jaw. It's counterpart is a much deeper scar of shredded tissue on his right shoulder. It doesn't run too far, but it's incredibly deep as if something decided to sink a hook in the bed of his flesh, before it ripped out an entirety of his shoulder.

His voice has a Cajun lilt to it and runs a deep tenor. Unfortunately, most people either like to peg him as deep south or Jersey just by the way he speaks. Tate can and will often speak different versions of French, most of which is usually just Louisiana French and usually just to people he's close to. Common phrases and words often slip into his word usage that hint at his Louisiana upbringing, but for the most part, unless he tells an individual, not many pinpoint exactly where he's from.

History/bio:

The Deveraux name carries its weight among the supernatural world, one that has protected generations of hunters under the titular name. Theresa Deveraux was one such lady, born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana, she found her teenage years strife with conflict deeply embedded in family roots. As a young girl, she had a choice: a regular life, one centered in as much normality as one could garner with abilities like theirs or a life of endless strife and nightmare, but that carried adventures and as many allies as enemies and bonds that run deeper than family. Theresa eventually decided that the Deveraux family name could only live on if someone volunteered to take the mantle for their own. Knowing the family crest and motto by heart, Theresa went into the hunting business for one reason and one only: to protect people.

But Theresa went through the business without really knowing the good inherent in supernatural beings. Like many hunters, Theresa only ever exposed herself to the evil and malicious beings of the supernatural realms: fae that stole children for dinner, witches that burned homes to the ground for petty revenge, vampires and werewolves so deadlocked in turf wars they couldn't care less of the needless casualties around them. Not until her life came too close to an untimely end.

Mislead by a confused group of individuals in small town Louisiana, Theresa found herself at the behest of a crazed serial killer so deep in the occult he could practically pass for a supernatural himself. Unfortunately, a man with such malicious intent wasn't so deserving of the brilliance of inhuman beings. Enraged that Theresa had come to end his chain of blood sacrifices to accursed gods in a bid for powers of his own, he incapacitated her and threw her in a caged piled with his past victims. Theresa saw absolutely no feasible way out, but she fought on still. It didn't occur to her that, throughout her entire trip through the small bayou town, she'd failed to notice the man trailing her through the various dives and bars surrounding the area.

When all things looked bleak and dismal, the individual found his way into the basement of the decrepit home to stumble upon the lone huntress trapped in her cage. Picking the lock, he'd freed her in time for a rather heated fight, toe-to-toe with the man and his pair of sacrificial knives. Killing him outright and stopping the brutal murders from ever occurring, Theresa thanked the man, a Jackson Theriault. He'd revealed his intent of stopping the man, having investigated his crime as per orders of his coven, but the moment he found Theresa's motives and intent to stop the man as well, he'd let her handle it. Unfortunately, he underestimated the killer's cunning and almost got the young huntress killed. After apologizing, he further revealed that the victims he'd been killing were supernatural beings themselves and a number of them witches. He'd literally soak in their blood and preformed surgery on himself to replace his own body parts. They were little things, tiny things, but they were still wretched and horrifying.

Offering her services in return for him saving her, Theresa further accompanied the man to his coven's home town. After introducing her to his family members as a hunter and mercenary, the coven's council, a skeptical bunch, set the two out on a retrieval mission in order to further test Theresa's trust. These missions grew in number before Theresa finally gained the trust of not only the coven but the town's entire supernatural population. And it wasn't until it was too late before she'd realized she'd fallen in love with the man who'd saved her. Unfortunately, they had their first baby outside of wedlock and their second came along not a year later.

Tatius Theriault, though his name suggested otherwise, was born and raised a Deveraux boy. Though still containing which blood in his system, Tate couldn't have been more human. He still exhibited a modicum of witch like powers, but they more or less fizzed out by the time he hit puberty. Of course, with a huntress for a mother, Tate was anything but a disappointment, he just had to exert his skills in different ways. He may say he's not actually a part of the Theriault Coven, but everyone within knows the boy is more their family than anyone outside could ever hope to be. Of course, just like his mother, they gave him a choice between as normal a life as it came or the rough road ahead as a hunter. No doubt a man like Tate took the challenge with heart.

Most of his missions came through the Coven itself, as they had various troubles within the state itself. They only ever encompassed a small part of Louisiana and never came across as too difficult, but they gave Tate enough material to learn from and experience should he decide to further his travels. As well, the Coven provided a wide array of lore to delve and dive into—something more his sister's area of expertise, however. It wasn't until his sister had mucked herself in more trouble than anyone of them could handle that Tate expanded his profession wider than he could have expected.

Demons disguised as the supernatural of the town had convinced his sister to chain herself to their work. The fiasco blew out of proportion and nearly sunk the entire city into the pits of hell, but the sacrifice of the Coven's leader quieted things down. Unfortunately, they wouldn't stop at merely one extremely powerful witch, they wanted the woman who made the contract herself. Tasked with protecting his sister, Tate smuggled her out of state limits and for years they roamed the country picking up job after job they could, some for money and others to live up to their family name. It wasn't until they decided to take a stand and potentially garner some help did they think to stop.

Montaville, Vermont seemed like one more place to refuel and aid should they need it, but Nova knew better than that. Montaville was their way of ending their plight once and for all.

Family/Relationships:
Theresa Deveraux Theriault - Mother
Jackson Theriault - Father, New Coven Leader
Rayna Fiona Theriault [Deceased] - Paternal Grandmother, Coven Leader
Simmons Theriault - Paternal Grandfather
Mona Theriault - Paternal Aunt, Twin to Lisa
Lisa Theriault - Paternal Aunt, Twin to Mona
Tera Deveraux - Maternal Aunt
Benoit Deveraux - Maternal Uncle
Ronda Deveraux - Maternal Grandmother
Isaiah Deveraux [Deceased] - Maternal Grandfather
Desmond Riley [Deceased] - Family Friend, Tied to an object in Nova's Posession (her constant companion)

Other/Extra:
Incredibly agile and flexible, Tate was a star athlete in his years of high school. He also attended various sports throughout school when not doing hunter like things with his mother. Of course, both parents cared deeply about Tate's education and, though he wasn't a star student and genius, he was still an exceptional and hard working student. While in school and even college, they only ever did supernatural things with him outside of his study and school.

Tate's an incredibly tricky individual and though he exhibits a lot of strength and brashness in his fighting, outside of it, he's got the charisma and social know how to navigate his way through various situations. If a fight breaks out where he could have solved the issue through tongue and politics, he takes that as a failure, regardless of the outcome.

He's got a thing for motorcycles, though he's been tied to his mother's car ever since the problems with his sister and the Coven. Now that he has the chance, he'll likely settle for a nice bike to ride around the small town.

Unlike his sister's nasty food habits, Tate's got a thing for healthy alternatives and the nearly hipster organic foods. At first, it was a ruse to get his sister to never cook for him again, because she's awful at it, but it quickly turned into a real things. Of course, Tate could never be a vegan because the taste of au natural prime cut steak is just too amazing to give up, as is the various Cajun foods that his family often cooked. Especially boudin and cracklins. How dare people thing he'll give those delicious delicacies up. He usually cooks foods of that nature, if he and his sister are craving it, since she nearly burned a motel down trying to make some of her own.

Montaville is a small town, located in Vermont, its surrounded by forests, and green pastures. Montaville could be considered one of those charming new England town you see in travel magazines, but a fresh coat of paint, and some sprucing up would be necessary. Off the beaten path and not connected to any major highways or roads, its not a place many people know of, or come across often.

Quint, quite, and traditional would be three words to describe it. 45 minutes to the nearest Walmart and McDonald, Montaville has no chain stores or fast-food places, just mom and pop stores, and the local diner. And like all small towns Montaville has its secrets, some even the local humans have no idea about...

Hidden from the rest of the world, and the town itself is another town, invisible to the humans and non-magics. A town with-in a town if you please. On the surface there is Montaville: An average little new England town, population of about 3,936 people.

Underneath the surface hidden from the human eye is 'Tellmore' a hidden world of fairytales, and nightmares. Vampires, Werewolves, Fae, Witches, and magic. Montaville is a place were the supernatural type flock. Tellmore is home of the prestigious Gringore Academy, and everything is build upon a magic rift, so its shrouded in an abundance of magic.

Gringore Academy - Has only been around for about 60 years now. Its a place for all races with abilities to learn how to manage them, to be safe, and to also educate themselves. They can take regular classes as well, but the main focus is on their abilities and how to be live in human society. Its more like a college, and their are dorms if you want to live in them. Gringore Academy is the first school for only supernaturals.

--------------
PLOT -- Center around the supernaturals, and humans in the town of Montaville/Tellmore, and the Gringore Academy for supernaturals.
