I'm tempted to say "I've lost better friends than you" to a lote of people lately. I'm not sure what I ever want to say to the better friends that I've lost, though.

I'm tempted to say "I've lost better friends than you" to a lote of people lately. I'm not sure what I ever want to say to the better friends that I've lost, though.

Twelve years ago, I said something on this website that continues to embarrassing me to this day. I was a stupid kid, like most, but I've never quite gotten the taste out of my mouth. Anyone who knew me at the time can tell you about it.
I love this website. I'm pretty sure my phylactery is stored wherever the webserver is and a significant chunk of me will just disappear when it ceases operation. Until then, it comforts me. I should go to the hardware store and paint my bedroom walls with the same soft, brownish grey that the background color has been for the last twelve years. Some of my friends can't wait for the site to go offline but I don't know of any other places that offer the same sense of community.
I'm an omni-gamer. I like board games, tabletop roleplaying games, admire tabletop war games, suck at riddles, and have an absurd library of video games. Survival horror is basically my favorite genre. Otherwise I'm a fan of esoteric, occult bullshit and punk rock. But disco's cool. Disco is what humanity sounds like when it chooses to be happy. Between you and I, I'd like to hope that the days of my life can sparkle like a disco ball, accreting like sparks from a grinder held up against the unwavering dark of deaths own shadow. Burn baby burn.
You and I, we're gonna die. We should be friends first, though. Write some checks we can't cash and make eachother smile. Make believe for a while.

"Those pulses you're seeing are coming from an unseen projector. A holographic display is somewhere in that room, broadcasting an illusion. The pulses are shifts in the light of the hologram, compensating for things like shadow, depth perception, and ambient light. Se looks natural at full speed, but under scrutiny it comes up short. The man with his head on fire is also a hologram too. The projector has to be somewhere in the room, but it's outside the range of the camera."
I squinted at the footage from the security equipment. Bruce is absolutely right. Me, my dad, and the entire GCPD have been going at this all wrong. The question isn't how did she did she disappear, it's when did she show up in the first place. If I can figure that out, then we should be able to calculate when his next appearance should be based upon how he sets things up. Also, if I can find the projector, I may be able to trace it to its owner.
"Bruce," I began, "is it possible that you can identify the location and time of the illusion's premier?"
I scratched my scalp as I awaited an answer from my senior partner. All the while my mind was elsewhere. I couldn't help but wonder if I should directly assist my father in any way. With the help of the GCPD, they may be able to snuff out the projector. But, even if they do, they'll only prevent the mysterious marauder from using that spot or projector.

Training Room Simulation: Castle of The Nightingales, Titans Tower

Ricochet watched keenly as Harley drew her second pistol, only to be tackled by Scorpion as though he were a rabid dog. He saw Scorpion throw one good punch before Harley retaliated by kicking him off of her and throwing him to the side. Once he was off, Ricochet watched in utter shock at how fast Harley leapt to her feet and began smashing the toe of her boots into Tim's armored ribs.
Snapping himself out of the surprise, Johnny leapt in through the windowsill and landed on his hands and knees. Like a gorilla, after hinging on his hands he swung his knees forward and landed on his feet, pursuing Harley as she went away from Tim and towards her own hammer.
Ricochet began to tumble forward, tucking his head into his lap as he rolled along the tiles that made up the floor.
He was a mere five feet away when Harley picked up her oversized mallet and slung it over her shoulder.
As soon as she'd firmly grasped it, she pivoted around and saw Ricochet pouncing towards her.
As a natural reaction, she threw her left leg forward, and put all her might into dropping the mallet over him.
Just as quick she'd done that, Johnny put his hand up, grabbing it midair, and used it as a point where he straightened out his legs into her makeup covered face.
Naturally, she dropped the hammer, as well as Johnny. The disc adorned hero grunted as he felt his body smack the beautiful bamboo. But Harley Quinn was even more shook up, she was gurgling as she leaned against the corner of the room.

Hey ho, guys. I feel like death has washed over me and my emotions are siphoning the life out of me. So, I really am sorry about my offline-ness. I'm going to go ahead and drop Ben 10. I missed the deadline big time and I intend to catch up on everything here and in X-Men. I feel so stressed out and emotionally unstable. But, despite the likelihood of my imminent failure, I'll try super hard to get back around. Deuces.
