He looks apprehensive. "What was this again?" he asks, sipping lightly at his tea.
Adam whistles. "Impressive. Have you ever fought a criosphinx? Nasty things."
He shrugs nonchalantly. "Oh, you know. The usual. Saw some stuff I physically shouldn't have, stalked someone who seemed to know what was happening, got caught, and wound up following Ihy's path. I guess they saw something in me."
You know, I've never asked you that. Why did you choose me?"
You had a passion and youthfulness that I liked. And you like playing pranks, even though you won't let me do any to this group.
Quit pouting, but thanks. I'll make sure we get back to it once things calm down a bit. Devon seems to be willing to mess with people, too.

He grins widely. "She is. She is an amazing business woman, but she always made time for family." He snickers, then continues, "My stepfather always says that she's five-foot-nothing of pure steel."
He nods. "Actually, if they have ginger tea, that's what my mother used to give us when we got sick." He closes the menu. "Would you mind if I tried your pasta?" he asks, placing the menu on the table.
Adam looks wide-eyed over the menu. "Would you be offended if I just ordered some fajitas? I'd like to stick to something familiar so that my body doesn't overreact," he says, continuing to look over the menu.
Adam sits down, mimicking how Artimes did so. "So what kind of food do they serve here?"
