II. Introduction

So I have been away from the site for more than a year. I haven’t really had a lot of time to participate in any of the storylines due to school and other various reasons. So now that I am slightly more scheduled. I will be actively searching for new partners. I’m looking for people who can at least post once a day or week. This way I can ease my way back into the fold with a few one on one role-plays.

::Post & Post Lengths » I try to give as much in a post as I can. In my intros I can generally get up to a good four or five paragraphs (when I am in a good mood), and have a good idea where the plot is, and understand the story of the world we are going to play in. When one of these are lacking I will try to make up for it by using the story details you provide. I also understand writer's block, I would rather have quality so go ahead and take a break but make sure you inform me.

::Series » Right now I’m going through this phase, where I’m enjoying what I like to call role-play series. Its where I’m taking the secondary characters from my one of my other role-plays and linking the story by giving that particular character its own plot. I just finished a six-part sequence with a very good friend of mind, and I really loved it. I might try here on here sometime near the distant future. Also, if you have an idea that you would like to branch out in this direction feel free to PM me.

Background: Claire Monroe works as a nurse in North America. She had just graduate from nursing school two years prior when she learned of Elder tales from one of her co-workers. Claire wasn't much into gaming but after hearing how fun the game was she bought it as a distraction. After learning the mechanics and participating in a few dungeons and raids with her friend, Claire took a real liking to the game. While most of her friends have left the game, Anubus since then she has been an advent player.
In Game History: Since the catastrophe Anubis has kept to herself, observing her new environment. Many guilds have tried to recruit her but she has stayed out of their grasp. She was selling her potions to a few merchant guilds but after some went under new management she has been weary to approach them. Since then Anubis has been investigating what might have brought them to the game of Elder tales and gaining whatever she can on lore of the world. At the present her investigations has been very limited.
Guild/Position: Not Affiliated
Personality: Anubis is a kind and helpful young woman who, generally keeps to herself. She takes the game very seriously. She loves to gather information and clear any new dungeons or raids presented. If a coordinated raid group is presented she will gladly join it. Although Anubis has yet to join a guild she keeps well know contacts on the North Wen server. She values information that can help her find rare items, locations on new dungeons, and mechanics. She is also a very high tier Alchemist and made good money selling potions to other players and people of the land. Though after the catastrophe she has taken to making gold in other way since a number of players have turned to PKing.
Skills: Cure - A basic cure magic that removes negative status effects from a single ally. It consumes little MP and has the ability to remove negative status effects regardless of type, but higher skill ranks allow shorter casting times for this skill.
Healing pulse - Healing pulse is a low level restoration spell. It is relatively weak but has a short cast time and is often used to bridge the gap while waiting for higher level skills to cool down.
Sanctuary - A magic square spreads out from the caster, transforming the surrounding area into sacred ground. Allies that step inside this zone are blessed with increased physical and magical defense. In order to maintain this zone, the caster is prohibited from moving away from the point of activation. For this reason, setting up Sanctuary requires careful planning of battle formations beforehand.
Magdala Curtain - When cast, Magdala Curtain has a wide range of recovery; anyone underneath its pale aurora will be healed, even if there are a hundred people under it. Out of all the recovery skills, only Magdala Curtain is geared specifically for raids. This move pays homage to Cross Marian
Equipment: Shadow Sorceress Garment - Woven from threads of moon drip silk it is a cleric-class dress exclusive to women. Originally it was a fine magus robes, but after being passed onto its successor the material has since been re-tailored into a healing robes. This robe can only be acquired and woven with specific material from select dungeons and raids. Bonus stats - Critical stats chance of heals.
Dark Majestas A rare item drop cleric class weapon. Its material is made from the pure obsidian and forged by a Weapon's Crafter during the time of the Alvs. Its main stats are increasing maximum MP and elemental resistance.
Shadow Garnet A ring that blessed the holder with reduced cast times and increased vitality.

Fun Facts: Anubis took up alchemy as subclass but in the real world likes to cook. Red herbal tea is her beverage. She loves reading and studying the lore. Her username is based off of one of her favorite Egyptian pantheon.

On the surface Empress Rehka appears to be naive and innocent girl, who conducts herself in public as a sociable, desirable, likeable, and often easy going individual. However, in reality, this is a mask to hide her true nature. Rehka is a highly intelligent individual who is also calm, sophisticated, charismatic, and very strong-willed. Her determination and beliefs in justice alone have secretly gained her the trust and respect of a small number of soldiers and military leaders. Like her father, the previous Emperor she wishes to see Zaire a free domain for all its citizens and non citizens, and system coordinating willingly together. She holds a strong dislike for war, expressing that they are simply started and repeated through a never-ending cycle of attack and retaliation.

However despite that Rehka is a adept tactician, she is very capable of devising and executing strategies with incredible speed and precision. As a child, so young she was a brilliant chess player, besting any opponent who played against her. However, the one person that she was unable to defeat was his older brother, Tarquine. Who was in fact the one that taught her. As an adult, she has learned to successfully utilize her skills in combat, and politics. Despite all this Rehka is a vulnerable person. She has problems with trusting, and believing in others, a hardship most likely stemming the tragedy of her family's’ assassination. She can be cold at time and ruthless if pushed. At first glance, Rehka can seem to have relatively little concern for the well-being of her subordinates, but in reality, she does care about them, seeing them as valuable allies.

She has the willingness at time to display compassion, and can be rather caring to friends and loved ones. If she believes she has found a loyal friend in someone, Rehka will treasure, value that person, and do all she can to keep them safe. This could be considered her greatest strength or weakness, as she has a penchant for putting the wants and needs of the Empire, and others before her own desires and needs. If someone is in danger, she can be pretty compulsive without always thinking things through.


History

Rehka was born on August 1st 4208 A.T, as Princess Rehka Elaheila Ielei the daughter of the Emperor of Zaire, Jarac Taquinil lelei, and the late Imperial Consort Empress Mahaylia. She was the youngest out of seven children and never expected to ascend the throne. As such in the early years of her life Rehka had a relatively normal childhood. She was one of the many loves within her mother’s life, and the apple of her father’s eye. She studied by private tutors within the palace, taught to fence by a master, and gentle nature endeared her to all her siblings. Her favorite past time as a child, was to steal moments of quality time with her father and older brother Tarquine . It was the formers love of chess that had first spiked Rehka’s interest to learn the game, and as time had passed she had eventually become a real challenge within the household. Most of her siblings never desiring to play her except for the eldest Tarquine, he was a real challenge for the princess, and went undefeated until the day of his tragic assassination. His death unknowingly was the beginning Sodalite’s plot to overthrow the crown.

Rehka was of course to not old enough know of the ramification of such actions, but she felt the loss of her brother just the same. Her parents as well had changed somewhat after the incident; they had become more somber, and began taking an even more active role in the monarchy. Rehka did not see them much during that time, and despite missing them, she understood or at least she thought she did. Unknown to the princess during those years her father, mother, and remainder of her siblings were combating a rebellion organization within the empire. This group wanted to put an end to the royal family’s plans on the reform of slavery and peace talks with the other Elecorate government. Their actions of killing the crown prince had been a warning, but what they would do next would place them in a position of power.

On the year of 4219 the rebellion escalated to a completely munity as the traitors to the crown made an assault of the palace and slaughter the royal family. Rehka being only seven years of age at the time, only survived due to the combined bravery of her father, mother, and their favored pleasure slave Moloria. With their quick wit and strong planning they ensured her escaped during the chaos by disguising her as a local and sending her off world. It was the last time the princess would see her family alive and beginning of many hardships for the girl. Rehka now on her own without the protection of royal status was forced to survive alone. The transport that had taken her off world had landed outside of empire space on a farmstead planet called Nathea. There she took a new identity as a servant and gained a position within a moderate household. Despite the grief of her loss, Rehka adapted to her situation maturely, and made an effort to stay off the radar.

Sometime later during her long exile Rehka met a young wounded girl named Temrance. She came across her one night on the way back to the farm. She had no idea where the girl had come from, but it was clear someone had attacked her. Rehka took her back to her small quarters on the stead, and tended to the girls wounds. A few days later after the trauma of that night faded, the girl finally woke up, but she was unresponsive to the princess. It was clear she was weary and did not trust Rehka. The princess understood and did not pressure Temrance; she tended to the girls wounds but never pushed further. The girl tried to escape the cottage a few times, but she never made it far due to her wounds. After a while the she finally gave up, allowed herself to heal, and eventually let her guard down enough to tell her tale.

Rehka had learned that Temrance was an escaped slave from the empire. She had fled from her master after the noble woman had attempted to sell the girl to settle her debts. The new master she’d nearly been given to was owned several brothels, and when Mythari came of age she would be his latest attraction. Sympathizing with the girl’s plight, Rehka offered Temrance a place with her; from then on the two became inseparable. Temrance growing to trust the princess, and Rehka finally finding a new family, it was a good fit for them both. They worked together on the farm during the day, had long conversations at night, and slept with the comforting thought that the other was never far away. It was arrangement that suited both females. Time passed from there on, and after many years of hard work, and dedication the girls finally had a home of their own. They were happy, and they had each other. But like all happy times, they too pass. Rehka was twenty-five when they finally found her, Zaire soldiers had come to Nathea on an assumed rumor that she was alive.

They raided, destroyed, and took many good citizens away from their homes just to find her. Eventually they did. Rehka was taken, with Temrance captured and turned back into a slave. The princess tried to keep them together, but in the midst of the chaos she was taken away. Rehka tried to find her once she was brought to Zaire’s principle seat; Sunia, but there wasn’t any trace. It was later reported to the princess that Mythari had died during the raid. The princess on the surface had been devastated, but deep down she knew that such news had been a lie. She remained hopeful and continued to look for Temrance. She cared not what truth her adviser concocted; the princess knew what they wanted. The council desired for her to be alone in her position without a single alley of comfort, or strength to challenge their reign. She was a puppet to them, figure head to pacify the people. So it was six month after her return to the Empire, Princess Rehka Elaheila Ielei was crowned Empress of Zaire. It would be another two years after that when she would finally take a stand and begin seeking revenge.

Awaking Sapphire Dynasty

This a political intrigue roleplay where action, mystery, danger and romance are the themes. Slave trade as a focus is just one of the many plot tools involved in the story. I do not condone it.

She swore to avenge the parents stolen from her. The only living heir to the Zaire throne becomes ruler of an immense galactic empire. Losing everything she ever valued in the process. Raised in exile, torn from the arms of her loved ones, this young woman is forced to play the puppet empress in the governments plot to consolidate their domination of space. Now the young heiress will journey through the uncertain path of politics, to seize the power of her birthright. All the while trying to not succumb to the dark ambitions of her administration. Her assurances of success are slim, but in a clandestine agreement with the up and coming officer of the empire’s army. The youthful royal will agree to give this determined warrior a place by her side, position in her court, and an even more coveted prize. His freedom. The Empress doesn't know whether or not she can place her trust in this man she has revealed her goals too. That all remains to be seen, but for now her course is set, and there is no looking back. As the one true sovereign of the Zaire the Empress will seize the power to rule her empire.

World Build Lore


Political situation: Zairen's are in a permanent conflict in between a internal power struggle and a near-war state with their enemy, the Yadian's, who rule an ever expanding empire called the Yadia Accord. Yadian's have military that rivals Zaire. Zairen's at the present are in a Stronger military state due to its large slave trade and interstellar network, which gives them an important advantage and is the only obstacle that prevents the Yadian's from attempting to conquering Zaire. The other player on the interstellar stage are the World's Electorate, the smallest of the three political bodies. They are an parliament base government where they explore within the reaches of space bringing inhabited worlds that have not been conquered under their protection.

Monarchy/Law

Monarchy: The Zaire empire has a absolute Monarchy with highborn Zairen's known as Sodalite who hold secondary power in Assembly within the empire. However that is only on the surface. Due to the coup twenty years prior the Royal family was assassinated and the crown then held in trust with the Sodalite in control. A status quo the highborn had a preference to maintain even though it diminished the empires strategic military power. The monarchy or the hereditary royal family are also the only power in the empire that can activity power and maintain the Interstellar network. The royal family in Zaire are the only known naturally born psion. When all the royal family was believed to be dead the network went into statis. Unfortunately for the highborn a survivor of the royal family has been found, maneuvering the Sodalite's power to more indirect methods.

Sodalite: Have secondary power in the Empire. Different dynasties in general are extremely wealthy and own entire worlds. Sodalite are known to be cruel and uncompromising class. In some cases they treat their slaves well. While in some societal families they are not. Sodalite's are very well versed in politics and due to scientific engineering are vastly intelligent as well are able to live decades longer than the average Yadian.

Ametrine: Ametrine's are middle class citizens of Zaire they work under the highborn manage the Sodalite's commerce and production on their respective territories.

Hiddenite: Hiddenite's are the slave trade of Zaire. They are owned and use as active military and commerce in the economy. They do not have a choice but to serve their master under Zaire law. A Hiddenite is either born into servitude to forced under conquest of their home planet.

Law: In Zaire Empire slavery is considered legal and Sodalites are allowed to decide about life and death of their slaves. However the crown can override any decision but is consider beneath the Monarchy to do. Unless it has benefit. At the present the only chance for a slave to live in freedom is to escape and seek asylum in the World's Electorate.

Technology and Science


IICN: IICN is a Instantaneous interstellar communication network that allows information to be transferred via psionic energy. It is the fastest known communication network in the galaxy. The royal family was the only known psions in the galaxy. A power both the Yadia Accord and World Electorate would love to get their hands on.

Psions: Psion is a term describing people with telepathic and in some cases empathic abilities. Psions can detect emotions, and even individual thoughts, depending on the strength of the psion and the proximity of those around them. They are also susceptible to the emotional suffering of people who are near them, and can suffer emotional scars from other psions who project their pain naturally. To survive the ongoing emotional attacks, psions are trained to put up mental barriers from a young age. Protecting themselves from unwelcomed feelings and thoughts and to prevent projecting themselves onto others.There are several upon hundred of genes that result in psionic abilities. The more such genes a psion possesses, the stronger psionic abilities he/she manifests. However this is not always the case

Bio-enhancements: In Zaire Empire, many people, most often in the military or administration, carry bio-implants. Most common are nodes in brain which are used mainly as extended memory or translator to store useful data. Many people have also psiphon sockets in their spine, wrists and ankles, that enable them to lock into the web. People who suffer severe injuries and lose their limbs or eyes can get prosthetic ones. Soldiers in the military are also genetically enhanced with greater constitution and strength for combat.

Travel: Interstellar travel, Zairen's often make use of QTL, which is a form of quantum-shielding that freezes the quantum state of all particles on a spacecraft.

Ships in both the Zaire Empire and Yadia Accord the are equipped with devices, controlled by AIs that shift a ship into "QTL" to avoid damage to the ship from weapons fire or from high-G maneuvers. The quantum-shielding prevents change in the quantum state of any particle, temporarily rendering the ship invulnerable. While in QTL, the quantum state of all the occupants of the ship also freezes causing the crew to experiences the quantum-shielding as a disjointed segment of time.

Each weapon strike against a ship in quantum-shielding weakens its QTL field. A number of weapon hits (typically suggesting two to four well placed shots) that will collapse a QTL field and re-animate the crew in the midst of a massive explosion. A collapse of a QTL field results in a rupture of the bottles holding the antimatter fuel used to power the ship, resulting in matter-antimatter explosions.

I find the Elf fantasy to be interesting. I have a concept outline from a novel I read sometime ago called the Tairen soul series. with could play around with such a setting and add our own spin and story to it.

Hello all.

Its nice to be back and meet all of you. Like the title might suggestion I am not new to the guild. I left about two years ago to focus on school and pursue other forms of writing. Then out of the blue I had a inkling to check back on here to re-read a few of my old stories and check out a few new. I hope to once again immerse myself in new roleplay genre and join in on new stories and pursue a few of my own. I look forward to working with many of you in the future. ♡
