BTW the answer to riddle was "Yes" though an argument could be made for "No"
@The One

"SHELA! Oh god no..." Leval's illusions immediately vanished, his concentration broken beyond repair. He had recognized the spell Arkan had used in his fight with Kong, the one he had paid such close attention to. His best strategy was useless, and he couldn't think, couldn't even breathe. The only thing he could see was the sight of Shela's eyes widening after... Leval grabbed his head and fell down to his knees. His staff had fallen from Shela's hand onto the ground, yet Leval couldn't even look at it. If he did he might see the sight of blood. He couldn't take that chance. His breath came in short gasps as his chest tightened, tears began pouring down his face. 'I couldn't save her. I couldn't even touch him. It was my fault. Oh god, it's all my fault.' Leval couldn't take it. He just sat there on the grass, tears still coming down his face, crushed under the weight of his guilt, unable to even think about the kidnapper's last words had been or the power he had used.
@The One okay okay- just one more question before I type up my post- I know you said the reversal is something Leval would quickly recognize do you mean after its effects occur or is there a visible effect that would reveal it beforehand. I just don't want to misunderstand and have to edit
@The One Ugh now I know how my players feel when I flash them my shiniest GM smile lol
@The One Not looking for answers just brainstorming.
@The One The closest I can guess is if I could get Bad Guy to attack one of us while that was up would do the hurt Badguy. Though at the same time the seems like the option I would pick considering he doesn't have a weapon on him Or if hurting yourself hurts him though that seems less likely . Or it could have a stone skin like property were it only works for a number oft attacks in which case sand is best.
That's alright I should post up this evening!
@The One 100% satisfied with that - also satisfies his earlier taunt. Now he will have to fight me! Mwhahahaha such a genius I am... Oh wait no :P
@The One Oh I was fully aware that the blinding not might work- but you gotta risk it to get the biscuit. Though I am somewhat surprised he saw the invisible staff lol. I see you have left it open as to what happened. Are you giving me a chance to act or do I have to describe what happened to Shela ?

And if this is Arkan being a dick for reasons ...
The masked man held up his hand quickly and the blade cut through his hand, he smiled before pulling his hand out the way with that it healed.

At least I accomplished goal of hurting him if even just a little :P
@The One Tried to keep my post as damage and action outcome neutral as possible so you could decide whether or not they worked. Really the most important part is whether Shela uses the staff or not.
