Bio

Hello everyone!

I love roleplaying. That is why I am here. And you are too I suppose! So we already have that much in common! Sweet!

I will play anything with a thick enough plot. My favorites include fantasy and magic themes.

I'm not sure what else to say here.

See you in game!

Nice. Welcome Everyone ^_^
Name: Caelum Liquin
Nickname(s): Cae, or Little Cae by her family elders.

Gender: Female

Age: 11

House: Hufflepuff

Appearance:

A thin little thing with dusty ginger skin and a button nose. Her long nappy hair is carefully braided and twisted, sometimes it is left dangling about her shoulders, sometimes coiled up into a bun, crown, or other interesting arrangement.

At 11 years old she is a stick, with no womanly curves to speak of. She will try to make up for what she ‘lacks’ with a daring shade of lipgloss, a black-winged eye, or a set of heels. She has a fashion sense and an eye for detail that is more mature than most her age (which the uniform robes will certainly dampen).

Wand: Wood of yew with core of Kelpie Hair.

Pet: None

Strengths:
- Visual Arts: A talented artist, she will not be seen without a pen or pencil in her hand. She has had a lot of practice and is quite advanced in muggle art techniques, but none of wizards.
- Detail oriented: Her eye for artistic detail translates to other aspects of her life. Small things make a huge difference to her. She has a nearly photographic memory. Words, numbers, and names all stay neatly organized in her head.
- Well mannered: The well socialized young woman knows her manners and etiquette, and knows what is appropriate in various social settings. She is not shy to meet or talk to anyone, and is even comfortable around adults and authority figures, unlike others her age, she might have a leg up in social situations.

Weaknesses: Superficial and vain.
- Vain: Growing up the daughter of a plastic surgeon and a model, Caelum was taught that making sure you look good is perhaps the most important part of your day. She will spend a lot of time and energy on her appearance, and judge others by theirs.
- Superficial: Caelum was well socialized by her mother, but she met many people without knowing them very well. So her social interactions with others have rarely gone past surface conversation. She will have trouble establishing deeper relationships with others, as she is accustomed to superficial acquaintances.
- Weak willed: Caelum speaks volume with her pencil but softly with her voice. She will not assert herself or confront another. She would rather do as they say, or avoid the trouble. This makes her somewhat easy to manipulate, as she would rather not fight back or be contrary to a stronger personality.

Personality:
Cae is eager to learn and very talented. She has a bit of an ego, and is very critical of herself and others, particularly when it comes to appearances. In that way she is superficial. She grew up seeing adults with many acquaintances but no close or permanent connections. The most important quality of others is what they could do or their status in society, not who they were inside. This perspective makes it difficult for her to relate to others on a deeper level, and also reflects in her art. She is very good technically but often her work lacks 'soul' or an emotional quality.

History:
Caelum was raised in London. Her father is a plastic surgeon and her mother a model, both muggle and ignorant of the wizarding world. They believed in magic abstractly. Her father made ‘magic’ happen with his medical instruments, and her mother made ‘magic’ happen with her body and a camera. ‘Little Cae’ made ‘magic’ with her crayons. That was all they knew until an owl delivered a letter to Cae in their high rise apartment…

Her mother and father divorced when she was very young. Her father took full custody, though she saw her mother very often. Her parents get along well, while her mother remarried twice after and is currently single. Her father never remarried, he is an introvert who mostly keeps to himself and keeps busy. He entertains the occasional girlfriend, but nothing that lasts more than a few months. Her mother has a large network of friends and toted 'Little Cae' along on countless fashion shows, gallery openings, concerts, films, holiday parties, so on and so forth. Cae quickly developed self control obtained only by children who spend too much time with adults.

Unlike her mother, Cae is introverted. She loved going places with her mother but preferred to stay quiet and watch. She always brought along a little designer purse full of crayons and paper, keeping herself quietly occupied with doodling. Her doodling became quite good as she got older, and her mother knew plenty of artists to mentor her young talent. Crayons turned to color pencils, which turned to watercolors and acrylic...

Her parents had been considering sending Caelum to a private arts-focused school when they got the letter.

At first Cae did not want to go to 'Hogwarts'. If it was so great why hadn't they heard of it? Besides, she wanted to be an artist not a magician. (Caelum thought it was some sort of stage-magician’s school. She had met a few magicians, and saw through all their tricks! She certainly did NOT want to be like them!)

Then then the neighbors from downstairs showed up. Impeccable timing. They were there to congratulate Little Cae on ‘getting her letter’. ‘But how did you know?’ her parents asked. ‘Why, we saw the owl! We knew it had to be for little Cae!’ The neighbors downstairs were kind but they never spoke much. Firstly because in the city it is customary to ignore your neighbors, and secondly they always seemed a bit strange. They were unnerved to hear that Cae did not want to go, and invited her over for tea to talk it over. They claimed to be wizards themselves, and promised that they were not stage magicians.

They showed Cae what Wizard artwork looked like. Moving paintings. Caelum was amazed. It did not seem like making a cartoon, it seemed like making something alive.

Cae instantly changed her mind. She wanted to learn magic for herself and how to make her own paintings alive.

NPCs:

Gregory Liquin: Father, muggle, a successful cosmetic surgeon. Serious and even tempered. Wealthy, handsome and refined. Cae lives with her father, who supports her in all her endeavors.

Cindy Lquin: Mother, muggle, a model and actress. Outgoing and gorgeous. Spunky and Sexy. Cae does not live with her mother but sees her very often and go out on weekend shopping trips, parties, and trendy cafes.
The hound turned his head to glance behind her, letting her know that someone approached. He didn't growl or show his teeth, which told Hibiscus that it was an ally. The life energy around her seemed to grow stronger, the trees seemed to be happier. It could only be one person.

"Hey, Kid." She turned toward the boy, while the hound trotted off a few feet, and began to slowly pace around them.

It wasn't a moment more before the hound barked as Ibrahim and Leslie approached, running. They had news. Blueberry & Co. were gone.

Ascot sprang into action--His body didn't move, but Hibiscus felt him split. She took a step back from the boy, waiting. The hound continued to pace, this time around all four Corps members rather than just the two.

When Ascot snapped back he sprang into a decision. Attack the trap. The others argued about the semantics of the actions. Hibiscus grimaced as she listened.

"Wait." Hibiscus spoke in a low firm tone. She was by no means in charge, but wanted more specific information before charging into a fight. That didn't work out so well last time...

"What exactly did you see? You don't know for sure that they are there?" She didn't doubt that Ascot had found a strong lead, however, all magic had it's limits. "What if they are already dead." She let that word sink in, the living were so sensitive about death, he death of friends anyhow. If they were dead the Corps attack would entirely in vain. She raised one of her dark eyebrows, peering down at the boy. "I can find out that much for you, if you give me time."
Like meeeee ;-;

Are we going to time skip? If so I'll just chill, if not I'll move carts for some reason :P
Thanks ^_^ I was worried about it making sense @.@;
Okay posted!

So I'm thinking that Haven meets up with them on the road, or at the farm. Depending on how this is going to roll!
Haven smiled at the girl, her eyes softened, and she reached out toward the little girl. She meant to show kindness to the girl and help redeem her situation--

"You should not have come up here woman,"

--However, before Haven could do anything, a man approached, he had a plate of food in his hand. It was the mercenary from the dining room--

He inched toward her, Haven shied away, her wide eyes fixed upon him, her back found the wall and pressed against it. There was nowhere to run, the storage room was at a dead end. He reached for a weapon, he meant to kill her for finding the girl. Haven had discovered his terrible secret, and would protect it by any means necessary.

"No! She won't say anything, Valunn, don't hurt her."

But the secret spoke up, the little girl arguing in Haven's favor.

"She knows about you now, the incompetent barkeeper was too foolish to tell his whores not to come up here. I'm sorry young lady, but we all have to make choices-"

Each word felt as if it hit haven in the chest, cold and hard, like hailstones. Icy fear filled her body.

"No! Just... come on Valunn, she didn't know... look at her, just a young lady... I'm sure she'll keep quiet."

If only they knew.

"Fine, you tell anyone about what's going on here, and we're going to have problems, you hear?"

He leaned in so close she could smell his breath, full of the ale she had served him, his eyes were hard and dangerous, his threat was a promise.

Haven did not wait for him to change his mind. She ran down the hall as fast as she could then out to her room…

… Her place was above the barn. A real room could not be wasted on the orphaned help. It was warm, and dry. She had a straw bed, and lots of shelves full of bottles and baskets, while above she had an array of dry herbs and plants hanging.

Her hands shook with fear as she loaded a small pack. Bundles of herbs, a few jars, and food for herself. She had meant to leave in the morning, but decided it would be better to put as much space between herself and this man as possible. She would leave now. She could handle the woods as well during the night as the day, wet and gloomy as it was, and it would be better to give the little girl her medicine sooner.

She left, abandoning the rest of her chores and duties for the evening. Inn would have to make due without her.

Even as she fled, she would not forget his cold hard eyes anytime soon.
It's rather long, but I had to catch up on lots of events! I didn't want to interrupt the Jonathan Ascot conversation, and am not sure what everyone else is doing yet :P So if anyone wants to chill with her go for it :P
