Welcome one and all! This game is called Hogwarts: Ignition - Year One! A lovely little Harry Potter RPG! We are open, rebooted, and ready to rock!
This OOC page will kick us off with all the relevant information and rules. I will updated it regularly as needed!

It was a dark and cool night, but all seemed peaceful on the grounds of Durmstrang. A blizzard had buried the school earlier that day, but the headmaster walked the ground as if impervious to the cold. Students and most of the teachers had yet to arrive. The headmaster was one of the few men on campus. They were there to protect it and make it ready for the year.
Off in the distance a wolf howled and the headmaster smiled. “Only a few weeks away from the beginning of the term for the new and returning students.” He said this he approached the guardian of the front gate. At this hour he knew the guard on duty should be Owen, who was also an old friend.
The Headmaster placed his hand on Owen’s shoulder. “This will be a great semester. I can feel it in my bones. Don’t you agree?”
Owen didn’t answer. He did not even turn his head to see who called to him. His body seemed unusually cold and stiff under the headmasters hand.
The Headmaster turned the soldier toward him, and gasped in horror: Owen’s face was distorted, the mouth opened and his eyes screwed up as if screaming, the grotesque expression was petrified, perfectly still. Frozen and lifeless. The headmaster let go of the soldier, who fell to the ground in a stiff heap. He stumbled backwards, slipping on ice and falling to his knees.
He heard a voice from above him. “You are right headmaster, this is going to be a good year. You know what I also think?” A tall man bent down over the headmaster.
“I think that there is a problem. Your grounds are not secure enough to protect your students. No… this will not do at all! I feel that stronger leadership is needed… yes… a new headmaster…” The man smiled a wicked smile, showing his awful crooked teeth. This was the last face the headmaster saw before a jet of light struck his chest.
The headmaster felt immense pain, his face contorted with agony. Then it became still. Stiff. Lifeless.
The man kicked aside the brittle headmaster. “I see there is an opening! Well then, it is time to call in the staff and send out acceptance letters. We have many dark wizards to teach this year.” He strolled through the courtyard and into the school… He was not alone. He was followed by a wolf, and four other wizards….

So, this takes place at Hogwarts? THE Hogwarts? When? Is Harry Potter There?
This RPG takes place at Hogwarts, but AFTER the original story takes place.
According to a Harry Potter timeline I googled, Harry and the trio graduated in 1997 defeating Voldy, and their kids start school in 2017. We are going to set this RP in the ‘present/2015’ so 28 years after they graduated.
What kind of characters can we play?
We will all be playing first year students at Hogwarts. If you would like to make a secondary character in another category, such as teacher or magical pet, feel free to fill out a character sheet and show it off to us!
Can I play the son/daughter of a cannon character?
I prefer original characters, but shoot us a message of your idea!
Is this a slice of life RP? Or is there a conflict?
There will be slice of life moments, especially at the beginning of the rp, but there is definitely some dark-magic opposition forming up! No spoilers!
Can I play a Villain?
You must play a first year student at Hogwarts. If you want to play someone you think would be sympathetic to the bad guy, you are welcome to create a character like that! PM us for more information if this is something you might want to do!

- HAVE FUN! This is a game after all! If you are being a jerk and interfering with the fun of others in the OOC you will be booted, ain’t nobody got time for that. If you enhance the fun of others IC or OOC you will be rewarded! Brownie points are my favorite.
- You must play a first year character.
- You must play an original character.
- You must post at least one-two paragraphs, as is the standard for casual-role-play on this forum. All other standards set in the causal-role play forum apply, so things like spell check are good and speed posting is bad. If you have any questions about this feel free to ask or check out the casual-forum rules and FAQ.
- Posting at least every two days is preferred. Saying that this is not a round-robin RP. Post when you feel the need or have the opportunity as long as it fits, don’t just go off and post some off the wall thing that makes no sense with the scene that is currently happening. Also as a sub-clause to this rule please please don’t just bail for any amount of time longer than three or four days. Let I, Eyeris, or Miss know if you’re going to be gone either by PM or by OOC.
