Hello everyone!

I love roleplaying. That is why I am here. And you are too I suppose! So we already have that much in common! Sweet!

I will play anything with a thick enough plot. My favorites include fantasy and magic themes.

I'm not sure what else to say here.

See you in game!

Moirah (NPC) "A Penguin? Where... What?" Moirah turned toward the window, pressing her glasses closer to her eyes. When he continued to speak, she glanced back toward him suspiciously, but didn't ask about the penguin any more... He was speaking of more important matters. "All the death eaters were Slytherin. Is that a coincidence? Everyone knows that in the Battle of Hogwarts they needed to lock up the Slytherin students because they tried to help You-Know-Who and could not be trusted! They nearly dissolved the house entirely after that! We have not had any profoundly evil wizards like back then... but if we do, mark my words, they will be Slytherin!" Moirah looked up as a new girl entered the scene. She scooted over a few seats to make room for the girl. "Come on in! You can help me talk some sense into these men!" She was grinning from ear to ear, looking between the newer girl and the two boys. "MOIRAH here!"
He is an NPc. I forget to tag him! Sorry about the spelling error!! I have no idea why the top is bold. I was waiting for a Jake post. But I can make a small move for Moirah in the meantime!

OKAY! Here is my best effort at a table!!! The top is the front of the train car, the bottom is the back of the train car. There is a hallway between the compartments running down the middle (not depicted, could not figure out columns) SOH this is how I think things should be configured... Does anyone have something else in mind? DID I miss anyone? Spell anyone's name wrong? Want to swap? Let me know!
"Yes. Mine is yew and kelpie hair." Caelum did not know exactly what a kelpiewas yet. She hoped to find out soon in her classes. She studied her wand closely, looking for a seam in the wood where the various hair might have been inserted. "Perhaps they use magic to put the hair inside." She concluded, finding no imperfections in the polished wood. "Otherwise I would say they use a lathe to shape the wood... but they might use magic instead!" She frowned. "To be honest... I find it difficult to tell what is magic and what is not. I mean... there must be magic on this train, or is it really just a steam engine? Everything looks more old fashioned than magical." She blushed and looked back to her wand, perhaps she was being impatient. "How do you do it? You wave it?" She carefully traced her own wand through the air experimental. No sound nor spark emitted. "Am I doing it right?"
River smiled. "Except when your watching, that is?" Cae had incredible talent for the visual arts. Ocllo respected that... and stayed out of her way when she was working. Cae was highly focused when she painted, and would become quickly irritable and icy if River interrupted her or looked over her shoulder for too long. In fact it was quite clear that Caelum preferred to work on the painting when she and Richard were alone... "I'm sure she will get the portrait talking soon." River tilted her head to one side. "How is... everything else going between you two?" She did not want to pry where she might not be welcome, but she was curious. Part of that curiosity was selfish, she had never dated anyone herself and she craved insight to that strange institution. The other part that curiosity was fear for her friend, Caelum was beautiful but she also was one of the most confusing humans River had ever met, passionate and distant at the same time. She sometimes seemed disinterested, yet she had gotten herself involved in all their activities. She seemed like someone difficult to get close to, complicated, but perhaps Richard liked that. Richard was a bit mysterious himself at times. She rested her elbows on the banister and clasped her hands looking back toward the parade.
‘Blue Haired Boy’ ((NPC)) Alaric would see a smile spread across the older boys lips. “Excellent.” The boy bent down, untied, and discarded his shoes. He crossed his gangly legs and sat on the seat facing Alric, scooting back so that there was plenty of space between them. “Quick?” He was wearing an old brown jacket, he reached to an inner pocket and pulled out a blue pouch, from that pouch he pulled a stack of cards, their top sides all blue. “Quick? Perhaps just a three card spread then…” He shuffled the deck, Alric would only see the top sides of the card, they were all uniform, all blue. He had long quick fingers that shuffled the cards masterfully. Then finally he would select three cards and set them face down. He turned over the first, the one to Alric’s right side. “The Emperor.” There was a picture of a man with a long beard in a long robe on a tall stone throne. He seemed to be on a mountain. The card was upside down, with his feet in the air. The arms of the throne were carved into the shape of phoenix heads, the emperor carried a crystal ball and a long wand in each hand. “This is your past. It indicates strong leadership and stability. You’ve got a good foundation, or perhaps a strong role model, that has ruled your life in the past… Either that or you're going to marry someone wealthy.” He flipped over the next card. “The Ace of Cups.” There was a golden goblet in the center of the card, five streams of water spouted from the top as if it were a fountain. The cup was held by a hand without a body, it’s wrist emerged from a cloud. “This is a card that marks new beginnings. You're probably starting a new endeavor… perhaps school…” The boy rolled his eyes and winked at Alaric, as if sharing some inside joke. Then he tilted his head to and fro, as if considering a serious matter “... Don’t wait too long to say ‘yes’.” Then he touched the last. “This one is for the future…” He flipped the card to reveal a young man in a long robe. He stood before a table. On the table was a goblet much like the one in the middle card, a sword, a wand, and a large coin. “This is The Wizard! You're going to be a wizard!” He laughed then, a bit too loud for comfort. “You silly things…” he touched the un-dealt deck gingerly as he spoke. “Soh. The wizard… about him… I mean you… your future… ahem… You will become empowered only when all things are in balance. Every tool is available to you, your own discretion is the only obstacle. You have been wishing for something a long time, do not give up hope, but become more shrewdand discerning as you work toward your goals.” He clapped his hands and gathered up the cards. “Quick enough for yo--” A blue card slipped from the pile and landed on the floor. “Ooops!” The boy scrambled to pick it up. “Your not done yet I see!” He pushed the card toward Alaric. “Look.. It’s the moon!” In a dark blue sky the moon was painted with a smiling face, a womans face. Below her on the ground were two towers and two wolves, they mirrored one another astride a long path that lead into a river on the bottom of the card. In the river was a scorpion. The scorpion was black and seemed to be walking toward one of the wolves, it's venomous tail was raised threateningly. “Yes… be very shrewd indeed! Beware of betrayal! You're going to be invited to a party, listen closely, and think before you accept!” He put the card back in the pile and began to shuffle again. He hummed a low tune as he did so. He tossed the cards between his hands like a stage magician might. “I’m Nathaniel by the way.”
Caelum Liquin “Hello Charlotte.” Caelum looked up toward the owl. “Hello Indiana.” She did not have a magical pet, but had seen many in the station and on the train. She wondered if she was missing something essential to the wizard lifestyle. In movies and books the magicians and witches often had cat or raven familiars… She picked up her sketch book and stood. She stepped into the car and sat across from Charolette. “My name is Caelum. I… I suppose I am a witch now, aren’t I!?” She smiled. The sparks on the wand caught Caelum's attention. “Oh! That is beautiful! I’m… I’m a new witch so I don’t know any spells or magic yet.” She reached into a coat pocket and took out her own wand. The thin yew branch had not performed any magic or miracles for her since she bought it. “What year are you?” Caelum assumed that Charlotte, since she knew magic already, must be a returning student.
I just realized now that I never posted my characters CS... OOPS THERE IT IS NOW!
Name: Caelum Liquin Nickname(s): Cae, or Little Cae by her family elders. Gender: Female Age: 11 House: Hufflepuff Appearance: ((http://api.ning.com/files/yoGU*sWDg*CxUrDwNu7HQvTWPTwRJs9NDsVzsdusP1Q-Ik45oZ*NybV68oJrhBUbOEn1xsn0-3O7e7ioCGVb52g8FjSi05vO/girl1.jpg)) A thin little thing with dusty ginger skin and a button nose. Her long nappy hair is carefully braided and twisted, sometimes it is left dangling about her shoulders, sometimes coiled up into a bun, crown, or other interesting arrangement. At 11 years old she is a stick, with no womanly curves to speak of. She will try to make up for what she ‘lacks’ with a daring shade of lipgloss, a black-winged eye, or a set of heels. She has a fashion sense and an eye for detail that is more mature than most her age (which the uniform robes will certainly dampen). Wand: Wood of yew with core of Kelpie Hair. Pet: None Strengths: - Visual Arts: A talented artist, she will not be seen without a pen or pencil in her hand. She has had a lot of practice and is quite advanced in muggle art techniques, but none of wizards. - Detail oriented: Her eye for artistic detail translates to other aspects of her life. Small things make a huge difference to her. She has a nearly photographic memory. Words, numbers, and names all stay neatly organized in her head. - Well mannered: The well socialized young woman knows her manners and etiquette, and knows what is appropriate in various social settings. She is not shy to meet or talk to anyone, and is even comfortable around adults and authority figures, unlike others her age, she might have a leg up in social situations. Weaknesses: Superficial and vain. - Vain: Growing up the daughter of a plastic surgeon and a model, Caelum was taught that making sure you look good is perhaps the most important part of your day. She will spend a lot of time and energy on her appearance, and judge others by theirs. - Superficial: Caelum was well socialized by her mother, but she met many people without knowing them very well. So her social interactions with others have rarely gone past surface conversation. She will have trouble establishing deeper relationships with others, as she is accustomed to superficial acquaintances. - Weak willed: Caelum speaks volume with her pencil but softly with her voice. She will not assert herself or confront another. She would rather do as they say, or avoid the trouble. This makes her somewhat easy to manipulate, as she would rather not fight back or be contrary to a stronger personality. Personality: Cae is eager to learn and very talented. She has a bit of an ego, and is very critical of herself and others, particularly when it comes to appearances. In that way she is superficial. She grew up seeing adults with many acquaintances but no close or permanent connections. The most important quality of others is what they could do or their status in society, not who they were inside. This perspective makes it difficult for her to relate to others on a deeper level, and also reflects in her art. She is very good technically but often her work lacks 'soul' or an emotional quality. History: Caelum was raised in London. Her father is a plastic surgeon and her mother a model, both muggle and ignorant of the wizarding world. They believed in magic abstractly. Her father made ‘magic’ happen with his medical instruments, and her mother made ‘magic’ happen with her body and a camera. ‘Little Cae’ made ‘magic’ with her crayons. That was all they knew until an owl delivered a letter to Cae in their high rise apartment… Her mother and father divorced when she was very young. Her father took full custody, though she saw her mother very often. Her parents get along well, while her mother remarried twice after and is currently single. Her father never remarried, he is an introvert who mostly keeps to himself and keeps busy. He entertains the occasional girlfriend, but nothing that lasts more than a few months. Her mother has a large network of friends and toted 'Little Cae' along on countless fashion shows, gallery openings, concerts, films, holiday parties, so on and so forth. Cae quickly developed self control obtained only by children who spend too much time with adults. Unlike her mother, Cae is introverted. She loved going places with her mother but preferred to stay quiet and watch. She always brought along a little designer purse full of crayons and paper, keeping herself quietly occupied with doodling. Her doodling became quite good as she got older, and her mother knew plenty of artists to mentor her young talent. Crayons turned to color pencils, which turned to watercolors and acrylic... Her parents had been considering sending Caelum to a private arts-focused school when they got the letter. At first Cae did not want to go to 'Hogwarts'. If it was so great why hadn't they heard of it? Besides, she wanted to be an artist not a magician. (Caelum thought it was some sort of stage-magician’s school. She had met a few magicians, and saw through all their tricks! She certainly did NOT want to be like them!) Then then the neighbors from downstairs showed up. Impeccable timing. They were there to congratulate Little Cae on ‘getting her letter’. ‘But how did you know?’ her parents asked. ‘Why, we saw the owl! We knew it had to be for little Cae!’ The neighbors downstairs were kind but they never spoke much. Firstly because in the city it is customary to ignore your neighbors, and secondly they always seemed a bit strange. They were unnerved to hear that Cae did not want to go, and invited her over for tea to talk it over. They claimed to be wizards themselves, and promised that they were not stage magicians. They showed Cae what Wizard artwork looked like. Moving paintings. Caelum was amazed. It did not seem like making a cartoon, it seemed like making something alive. Cae instantly changed her mind. She wanted to learn magic for herself and how to make her own paintings alive. NPCs: Gregory Liquin: Father, muggle, a successful cosmetic surgeon. Serious and even tempered. Wealthy, handsome and refined. Cae lives with her father, who supports her in all her endeavors. Cindy Lquin: Mother, muggle, a model and actress. Outgoing and gorgeous. Spunky and Sexy. Cae does not live with her mother but sees her very often and go out on weekend shopping trips, parties, and trendy cafes.
Sure! That seems to work!
