Hello everyone!

I love roleplaying. That is why I am here. And you are too I suppose! So we already have that much in common! Sweet!

I will play anything with a thick enough plot. My favorites include fantasy and magic themes.

I'm not sure what else to say here.

See you in game!

@ Everyone I am PMing currently. I'm working on some papers I'll get back on those soon!
The color drained from Moirah’s face as the house announced her place. ”SLYTHERIN!” ”Just like dad…” The girl whispered to the hat. ”Thank you.” The hat did not respond, it’s business with Moriah was finished. She felt like she was made of wood, her back stiff as a board as she walked. The only body part that seemed to be working properly, was working in overdrive. This was her heart, it pounded in her chest at a million miles per hour. Somehow she managed to waddle to the Slytherin table, and fall into a seat. The other students nodded at her, but turned their attention toward the rest of the sorting, then Minerva’s speech, then the food as it appeared. She twisted her fingers together under the table. The whole train ride over she had practiced various ways to introduce herself. She would be sure to make the impression that she was noble, clever, and worthy! However, now that her moment of glory had arrived, she couldn’t find use of her tongue! “Hi, I’m M-M-mmmm--” She almost spoke to a dark haired upperclassmen, but he turned away from her for the attention of a biscuit. “Can you pass me the--” she almost spoke to a girl in pigtails, but she turned away as her friend told a joke, they erupting in laughter over some private joke. ’Go ahead! Just ask someone to pass you the pepper already! but couldn’t find the courage to interrupt her house mates, so instead, she ate quietly and without additional spices. She would be content, for now, to be surrounded by them. The house of the pure magicians. The pure blood houses held the strongest wizards and witches as thei blood carried the highest concentration of magical genetics. To be clear, Moirah did not really know what ‘genetics’ were. She had not been schooled in science. She knew it was a popular muggle term for talking about blood-status, which, for them was only about what your hair color might be. That’s as much as Moirah knew about that. The rest was assumptions based on second and third hand information. She yearned to be accepted by her peers in Slytherin. She had been an only child and seen her cousins only sporadically. There were more children in this hall than all the others she had seen in her whole life added together! The potential, and the pressure, was overwhelming. She began to eavesdrop on a couple of first years sitting next to her. A girl from Ravenclaw had struck up conversation with a first year Slytherin. ’I wonder why she is talking to the Slytherin before her own housemates. Her name was Skylar, and his was Aedan. When she couldn’t hold back any longer she launched into the conversation as if she had been involved the whole time. All her clever and well practiced introductions forgotten... “Yes, I had a lot of cousins in Slytherin, but now they are all graduated! I’m a Myeong-sook!” The name would be known to other pure bloods, even if it had only been heard in passing. She felt her stomach drop as she suddenly wondered how her name would be received. Several of the Myeong-sook clan were serving in Azkaban for joining the Death Eaters. They were imprisoned for, among other things, shedding blood on these very grounds at the battle of Hogwarts. On the other hand, some might know her father was cut off from the rest of the Myeong-sook family over... political disagreements. How united was the house of Slytherin? They were all blood-worthy but, like her own family, perhaps they did not share a common vision. Most of the older student had been present for the Battle of Hogwarts. They had been locked up in the dungeons and treated as criminals. How did that make them feel? What would they have done if they had been released back then? Would the Battle of Hogwarts ended quite differently? “I’m sorry to interrupt.” She said looking back down at her plate. “This is WAY harder than I thought it would be!”
Now that I'm at my house I'd like to elaborate my response a bit!!! Soh, the number one rule in this particular game is to have fun! We are first and foremost playing a game!!! We are playing a writing game! The ability to write and it's associated skills are important! However, there are many different styles of writing and reasons to be playing the game here. Not everyone wants to stress over being a better or worse writer and just want to play. Some others might use this as a place to improve writing skills while they play. This particular forum (RPG Guild) is split in to three 'level's of writing. If someone is not playing within the 'casual' standards, please PM me and I'll defiantly try to work it out! If it is a problem of practicality. Such as "Hey, it wasn't clear in your post if you were talking to Moirah or Jake. Which is it?." This is absolutely something you SHOULD bring up on the OOC! Or "Hey do you have brown hair or green because my character has a phobia of green hair..." sorry weird example. In game logistics should be discussed here in the OOC! We've been doing this already, trying to sort out who is in what cart. For alas, as hard as we try we can easily miss details or fail to write as clearly as we think we are. I admit to being guilty of this already! Sorry guys! If it is a critique about style or skill then your treading the muddy waters a bit. The main point of the game is fun. Without knowing if the other player is open to critique or not, and without the other player knowing your particular critiquing credentials, I think it would cause waves to just 'call someone out' in the OOG. It could easily become an un-fun situation, or cause OOC strife, and is not the type of player environment I'd like to create. If your not sure, or if it is super-bothering you, send it to me in a PM and I'll decide if it is worth bringing up to the player or not, or asking them if they would like feedback! I'm really good at saying things in a nice way! Or maybe I can help explain an unfamiliar play-style! I don't want to make an assumption, as I'm not sure what anyone thinks of one another, really. TO LONG DIDN'T READ: Play on have fun! PM me if you need! <3
Send it to me In a pm? :)
I have a draft of a post, I'll spruce it up to night and officially join in the fun! I am neutral on class-decisions! There should be spaces for mutli-house interaction and inter-house interaction both! ^_^
Everyone keep up the good work! :D
Name: Moirah Maj Myeong-sook Date of Birth: September 8th, 1987
Appearance:
Blood Status: Half blood. (Moirah THINKS she is pure blood. Her mother keeps a small secret.) Personality: Moirah is a clumsy and outgoing. She earns a reputation as being flighty and disloyal. She says exactly what she thinks, but often changes her mind. She dos not mean to be deceptive at all, she simply tries a bit too hard. She is certainly malleable and easily influenced by people and events, She doesn't give these changes time to set in, or consider their broader meaning, so she is quickly swept off her feet by the next idea. Her blunders are large and her reactions passionate. On the bright side, she has a ton of energy to spare. She will not fatigue quickly, so she might work at a problem longer than the average person. She is always ready for action, so she is the perfect person to call upon when you need someone in a pinch. Especially someone that won't ask any questions. Wand: Leave blank, wand chooses wizard y'all. House: Leave blank, don't put the Sorting Hat out of work. Best Classes: Potions, Herbology, Alchemy Worst Classes: Care for magical creatures, charms, frog choir. History: Moirah was born and raised in a pure-blood household. Her father was a Slytherin in his school days, and is currently an Obliviator in the Ministry of Magic's Department of Magical Accidents and Catastrophes. On his side of the family there are a few death eaters and a large sentiment of support for Voldemort's cause. He had brothers and cousins in the Battle of Hogwarts. He created a rift between himself and his family by not standing with them. Moirah's mother is also a pure blooded wizard. She did not attend Hogwarts or anything like it. She does not have a real job outside managing the family's castle and estate. She enjoys reading tea-leaves as a hobby and semi-professionally. As a couple her parents consider themselves 'progressive pure bloods'. They did not support the death eaters or Voldermort. They do not want to exclude mixed-blood wizards from entering the magic world. However, they do support the continued segregation between muggles and wizards. They consider the wizard world more advanced than the muggle one. They "Progressively" think that magic is genetic, and that muggle-born wizards must have magical blood somewhere in their family tree. They think it would be ideal for magical children in muggle families to be detected much sooner, removed from their muggle families and adopted by wizards. This would be the best way to enable the muggle born to 'rise above' their birth-station. Moirah herself is an only child. Her parents are very wealthy. She had a large castle almost all to herself almost all of her life. She had the house-elves and the dogs for company, though the dog's never liked her much. She saw her cousins sporadically throughout her life. (Her father and his family fought on-and-off throughout her childhood, and her mother's family lives in Korea.) She always wanted to please her cousins! Most were older than her and she looked up to them fiercely. She spent time planning their visits and contriving fun activities for everyone to play. During their actual visits they largely ignored her. She would think to herself "I guess this game just isn't fun enough..." after they left, she would contrive new strategies to win their favor. She has not seen her cousins in several years. Her father's family largely sympathized with the Death Eaters, and her father refused to see them during the worst political turmoil. Travel became risky during that time so her Mother's family never visited either. Hogwarts closed the year Moirah was meant to begin her study there. Her parents were unprepared to educate her. Her father was working over-time in the wake of recent events, and was hardly ever home. Her mother had received a much different education, and hardly remembered it anyhow. The work she did with her daughter was patchy at best. Moirah learned a lot of spells that were mainly used for doing chores. When Hogwarts was ready to open they tested Moirah to see if she would be ready for her second year, she failed miserably. She will be starting as a first year. Despite the set-backs Moirah was ready to finally learn real magic. Make real friends. And show her family what she was capable of!
Tadaaaa! Super post! I split up the compartments and locals of the fight into separate posts to make for easier reading! I'm kind of glad that I accidental split up the conflict. Did I make any mistakes? Let me know that everything makes sense please and thank you! <3<3<3
Compartment 5 (Charlotte and Caelum dare to venture out.) Caelum peaked around the corner in curiosity. There was a tall blue haired upperclassman in the hall outside their door. He shuffled a deck of cards. Was that a strange thing to do? “I think... um... Let’s… get a closer look.” Caelum whispered to Charlotte. She was not brave enough to take the first step out, but was overwhelmed with curiosity. She had never seen a wizards argue before... perhaps there would be a fight...
In the Hallway between the compartments. (Alaric confronts Zeva between compartments 3 and 4) Zevasaid nothing, and scowled at Alaric. Despite his younger years, he and Zeva were exactly the same height. She reacted to his threats quickly. She lurched forward and closed the distance between them in quick steps, giving the boy a hard shove into his chest. (Meanwhile Nathaniel stands looking toward the conflict between compartments 5 and 6 while Charlotte and Caelum peak out from compartment 5) Nathaniel looked back at the first year apprehensively. “Maybe I’ve judged the kid too harshly. Maybe he overheard that foul word in the station, didn’t knowwhat it meant.” He sighed deeply and pulled out his cards, shuffling them nervously. He noticed the two first years looking out from their compartment. There seemed to be an unusual number of first years in this particular car. It happened this way every year. By the second year everyone kept clear of the schools most territorial sports team. He looked toward the girls. “What do you think?” Then he drew a card from the deck, considering it deeply. Had he been talking to the girls or the deck? “Looks like we’re on our own for this one.”
