Someone stole a jar of melatonin from the store that I work at. I hope it keeps them up at night.

Being tiny, curious as hell, cute and incredibly clumsy, I find Meltan surprisingly relatable for a lump of metal with a nut for a head.

I didn't know I had a favorite steel-type pokemon until Meltan. Not to be dramatic, but I'd die for that little fella

Everyone wants to be special, yet nobody seems to realise that being special isn't always a good thing.

Helena looked at Leo and nodded. She still knew what he had promised her earlier that day. That he would be her friend, not her bodyguard. She felt happy to know that the kiss hadn't changed his mind about that, considering it too dangerous to even be her friend. But still, she couldn't help the fact that she quietly wished they could treat each other as more than just friends, but instead sharing the feelings they had towards each other.

Looking out of the car window, Helena sighed softly. Those people in the other cars probably had it easy. Or at least not as bad as she and Leo had it. They weren't the target of a gang and needed no protection from a bodyguard that was an old friend, only to find themselves falling in love, while not be able to express their love.
Helena got into the passenger's seat and fastened her seatbelt. After being shot at earlier that day and Leo actually getting hit, she genuinely cared about her safety, and Leo's as well. For a short moment, she leaned over to him and placed a quick, soft kiss on his cheek. "I hate that we have to wait, but if what you're saying is true and we will be able to be together once everything is taken care of, than I believe you, and I'll wait. I'd wait my whole life for you, if I have to." She said.

Maybe she shouldn't had given him that kiss on his cheek, but how much bad could a kiss on the cheek be? It wasn't just a thing lovers did, family and friends did too, sometimes. A kiss like that might be special for them, but didn't look like anything special at all.
Freya looked at Harol, slightly raising an eyebrow. Was he truly thinking both of them were safe? To Freya, it couldn't sound more like a foolish, naive thought. "No, you are safe. I am a rogue, thief, murderer and traitor trespassing their ground. I am a criminal and they may have a reason to keep you safe, but can you say the same counts for me? Because be honest about it; what would be better, to have a criminal on your grounds, or to turn said criminal in?" She asked, before looking at the path that lied ahead of her, Harol and the knights.

She didn't bother trying to explain to him that she felt like an outcast and uncomfortable, doubting if he'd understand. He seemed to have at the very least one thing in common with these men, but Freya didn't, so how would he be able to understand what she meant? And she didn't exactly feel like telling him she didn't want to meet any oracles, not wanting to explain why. She didn't want to tell him about her past, or to have anyone know about it, for that matter. There were things she just preferred to keep secret. Things that had happened and were better of buried than mentioned again.

When they got to the gates, Freya watched quietly as they opened. The building on the other side was purple, and quite big. Freya had never seen such a big building from so close, and it sure managed to impress her. She couldn't help but wonder what it would be like trying to break into a place like this, just to distract herself, but soon figured that it would be far too risky. They may have a pretty large amount of.valuables inside, but they also had oracles and trained warriors. Not to mention getting through the gate and slipping into the building unnoticed.

Freya woke up and groaned softly. She felt like she had a pounding headache.and she missed the feeling of her husband's arms around her, giving away that they were no longer in the same embrace they had fallen asleep in last night. Upon opening her eyes, she quickly learned that her soulmate wasn't lying next to her at all, nor was he anywhere to be seen, unlike last night when she had fallen asleep. She was in a vast white room with two beds: the one she was lying in, and one in which someone else was in, though the person seemed nothing more than a stranger to her. There was a window, but the blinds were shut, there was a door, a mirror and a camera.

Walking over to the mirror, Freya gave herself a brief moment to examine herself, making sure nothing had changed. She was still wearing the same clothes as the day before, having been too tired yesterday, and falling asleep without bothering to change her clothes for a pajama, just like her husband. Her hair was a little messed up and uncombed from all the turning during her sleep and as usual, she wasn't wearing any make up. The last thing she noticed, was an off, black marking in her neck.

Frowning, Freya tried to find out what it was, thinking. She had no tattoos at all, and neither did she ever drink alcohol, let alone getting drunk and getting a tattoo. But if it was no tattoo, than what was it? It was strange, that much was for certain.

So here's the thread
Leo's words brought tears to Helena's eyes. Finally she had all her feelings clear and answered, only to hear it wasn't possible. Like earlier that day, he was being so close to her, yet just out of reach, but this time not just in her thoughts, but for real. The kiss, which was only a few seconds into the past, had given her the most wonderful feeling in the world, but now, she felt more horrible than ever before.

"But when this is over... When they're caught we can, right? When everything is safe, can we get close to each other?" She asked hopefully, looking at Leo. Of course it was going to be horrible to know how they both felt and not being able to share those feelings together, but if it wouldn't be that way forever, that she would only have to wait, than it would at least be a little less worse.
Yeah makes sense
Awww that's great!
Michelle smiled, looking at Amaranth. Helping people out, learning them things and help them to stay alive. Now, that was something she wouldn't mind doing at all, it was so much better than killing people or dying without having done even one good thing. Sure, by helping other tributes they possibly did the last thing the Capitol wanted them to. They would be helping people they should slaughter, showing kindness instead of the bloodlust the Capitol wanted them to show. But to Michelle, that only made the idea sound better. She looked at Amaranth, still smiling. "Helping instead of killing... Sounds like we're going to do the exact thing they don't want us to." She said, shaking the girl's hand.

When she brought up the parade and what she had done, Michelle was remembered about her own actions as well, and rubbed the scars on her arm, covered by her district uniform, feeling guilty herself too. "You're not the only one who made mistakes during the parade. Those scars... they're no signs of toughness or whatsoever, and the person who gave them to me regrets it every single say. Now he saw them on a screen and was reminded of what he did and all of Panem could see, just because I thought I could use them in my advantage. I never should've showed them." She said, after which she was silent. Not only had seen all of Panem the scars, but if she would tell the truth during the interviews, everyone would know what her father had done, and everyone in district ten would know it, see her father every day and blame him. He didn't deserve that. When Amaranth brought up that it was lunch time, she nodded and walked towards the cafeteria.

Alice let out a soft and nervous sigh. She didn't want to be alone during the games, she wanted someone at her side. But she knew that regardless of why she wanted that, she would have to talk with someone first. The thought was terrifying to her, having no idea what to say or do, and she panicky tried to think as her eyes scanned the cafeteria, hoping she wouldn't screw up. She never talked with anyone unless it was necessary, with her brother being the only exception to that. She didn't even talk with her own parents if she didn't have to. So how exactly was she going to find company in here without failing miserably? She let her eyes rest on another lonely girl in the room, soon recognising her.

She couldn't remember her name, but she knew that the girl was from district one. She had been the one who said the rebels were meant to be put here, or something similar to that. With her brother, who wanted to be a rebel, Alice hadn't taken the comment lightly, but tried to forget it as she got up and walked to the girl. Everyone else was already making pacts, so maybe making a pact with this girl was Alice's last chance for company. The thoughts kept trailing through her mind as she walked over to the girl, until she came to a halt and took a deep breath, forcing the simple, yet to Alice so difficult words to say out of her mouth. "Do you mind if I sit here?"
