It was a sad state of affairs, but Thomas actually found himself glad that the Cy-bugs had this protection on their eggs. The revelation that Oner/Rneo could use two Keyblades at the same time was bad enough, but he secretly was glad that the Mirror Denizen wouldn't have another chance to show off by single handedly destroying the hive while he warned people for a nonexistent threat. It wasn't exactly the attitude of a hero, but he couldn't stop it regardless. At least he kept from showing his pleasure to the others.

Then, what he had been seeking, what he needed. Confirmation from Calhoun that he had indeed come up with a good plan. Sure, she modified it some, but that wasn't so bad, given that he had the base idea. She probably would have come up with the same herself, but it provided that spark of confidence in his leadership abilities, such as they were, that he needed.

"Got it," he replied with a curt nod, catching the communicator. "Good luck," he added as they left, though they probably wouldn't need it. After all, it wasn't like he'd seen an opponent yet that was an actual challenge for Oner/Reno, and with Calhoun backing him/them up, there wasn't really anything that could pose a threat. Putting away the comm device, he looked over at Felix. "So, I don't suppose you have any idea how we could find Ralph, do you," he asked. "This wor...game, isn't exactly small." He was never really a fan of random wandering about, so if the mechanic had some advice it would be most welcome. He summoned his glider in preparation to move out though, pending on the answer.
Accidental double post. Apologies.
Excuse me while I go get the brain bleach.

I had actually intended that Joshua go investigate the explosion while Thomas goes to warn the people, but I guess I'll see what happens.
Hm, think I'll let Joshua get a word in edgewise before posting again.
Alexander read through the informational text with characteristic speed and attention to detail. If he forgot anything, there was always a 'Help' button or something of the sort he could use, and he didn't doubt that experience in this game would eventually make him able to recall what he needed by memory. Not that there wasn't interesting stuff, but he had his own priorities at the moment.

Then, to guns. This was, to be honest, the first time Alexander had ever held a gun full stop, but it didn't feel too bad, and technically it didn't count since it was a video game. He listened attentively to the voice explaining the weapon, a bit of thrill to hear it was something like a laser gun meant for accuracy and such. Now, accuracy could be an issue, but he'd give it his best shot. Deep breathes, and once the voice had ended he thumbed off the safety for the weapon, pointing it down range. He was impressed by the bullet sight as it were, telling him where the shot would hit. Now that was useful. Lock on, and fire. A laser spat out and winged the target downrange, though not a direct, lethal hit.

He grumbled to himself but moved on, from pistols to shotguns to rifles, each different and with their own benefit and negatives. Eventually he settled on man's favorite toy, probably as a result of watching too many Michael Bay films. Explosives. It was just too easy to use them. Heck, aiming was practically optional as long as you hit somewhere near them. Grenades, RPG's, all the better. And he got to cackle evilly as explosions tore apart the targets.

Sadly he had to leave the guns behind, to move onto the landscape displays and such. He had to admire whoever did the graphics in this game once again. For being dark and gritty, they looked beautiful from a distance. Now then, on to see what came next.
Thomas grinned to himself as he dodged and weaved, his spells surprisingly effective on the Cy-bug given that it didn't have the magical resistance of a Heartless. To be honest, it was a tad scary to see what magic could do to actual things, but it was a power he had long ago gotten used to. Lightning slammed into the back torso given that it was the highest point, while fire burned at it's legs and allowed him to hack away at it with his Keyblade, eventually severing one, then another and another until it was immobile. He did get some of the thing's blood on him in the process, but he ignored it for the most part as he moved in battle, and Calhoun blasted the thing.

He jumped away as Calhoun pulled out an extra large gun (How many guns did she actually have), and killed it at last. He put on a grin, buoyed by the success at least a little, the pain he had from darkness lessening slightly as he rejoined Calhoun, sending away his armor and Keyblade, while turning to face Joshua who seemed to have finished off his Cy-bug as well, to no real surprise on Thomas's part. If there was anyone that could handle one of those things, it was Joshua. Well, and Reno/Oner, but that was hardly a fair contest as it was. He supposed he should amend the statement to say 'Of the normal people', since Reno/Oner wasn't normal, no matter what appearances might be put on, mentally as well as physically.

He stood there with arms folded, listening to the conversation about what to do, and how to handle this threat. "So, I don't suppose you've got an army or something ready to kill all these things, do you? Since getting everyone out only seems to solve half the problem, at least from where I'm standing," he said to add his opinion. Then there was an explosion, which drew his gaze as well as everyone elses, to see debris in the air.

"Do they normally do explosions," he asked, Calhoun the only real expert on Cy-bugs they had here. If she didn't know, then none of them would. Still, things had gotten a bit more difficult now. "Well, guess we split up then. Me or Joshua can take Felix to go warn the townsfolk via Glider, while the other goes with Calhoun to see whatever the hell that was," he said, offering the suggestion and glancing at Calhoun. He was acutely aware that this moment, more than ever, she was a leader, a commander, someone who took people and used their energies to achieve a goal, who deserved and earned respect, while he was mediocre at best. He was barely the spokesperson o the group, and it wasn't like people listened to him beyond when the decision was blindingly obvious anyway. He had no qualifications to be in charge beyond Nagi's random choice. And he was afraid of embarrassing himself in front of Calhoun, and thus having Joshua dislike and not respect him that much more, though deep down he knew his suggestion was reasonable in this circumstance.
Oh god, Bio, all the puns.
“Hey Alex.”

“Hey Luke,” Alex replied to his next room neighbor as he passed through the door and unlocked the second door for his dorm room, past the shared bathroom and Luke's room. He held a box that he had just picked up from the postal office under his arm, and he had a fair idea of what it might be. It was about time too.

Fortunately, Alexander lived alone in his dorm room, his supposed roommate living in an apartment with his girlfriend or something. Alexander couldn't really remember and hadn't seen him since the beginning of the semester in any case. He didn't talk much with his next door neighbors either, so that left him with the few friends he had in the dorm, clubs, himself, and video games.

Inside, he walked over to his desk and got out scissors, cutting away tape to open the box, which revealed his new copy of Gun Gale Online. He'd kept away from VRMMO's, but now it was time to break that trend. Hopefully this would be fun.

He sat down on the bottom of the wooden bunk bed and slid in the game. He'd read the manual, but there wasn't really any way to prepare for this...so he'd been told. Synchronization done, he said the words that would send him on his way. “Link start.”

Programming activated, and Alexander found himself flying down a tunnel of color that seemed a split second away from an epileptic seizure or something. Then he was there, at the intro for the game. He passed by the importing option and put in his username (the first few he wanted were already taken, of course). Then straight on it seemed, with no character customization option. He could only hope he looked good.

Everything went dark, and then he suddenly found himself in a ruined, desolate battlefield. He stood there in awe for a few seconds at the sheer graphic and detail of this, blown away by the actual feel of everything around him. It was really, really incredible.

Fortunately, it was hard to miss the phrase “Tutorial Start” that popped up, and he grinned to himself. Tutorials, boring, but necessary. He wanted to actually know how to do things after all. He followed along with the instructions as he found his anticipation growing. “Alright, let's do this,” he said to himself, wondering just what would happen next.
Hoo, not an easy request, that. There's a lot of story, and it doesn't help that a large majority was lost when the Guild was shut down back around December, and can only be accessed via the Wayback Machine. Hope you're the patient sort, because a full summary may take a while.
Thomas, ready with his Keyblade and armor, relaxed as Joshua took the fore, more than prepared to fight this thing. Much as he might want to, he was willing to grant the warrior what he wanted, in order to get closer to being alone with Calhoun. That would be hard, but even if it were just with Felix around that would be alright too, given that he didn't know the guy.

“Alright,' he agreed with a nod, unknowing of how close Joshua was to figuring out his problem. But he left the warrior to fight as he moved along with Calhoun, Felix, and Oner. It was a quick trip to the hole in the ground that they were aiming for, and on arrival Thomas whistled. “Wow, that's a lot of them,” he commented. “Getting rid of them all is going to be pretty difficult.”

His attention was drawn as another Cy-bug emerged to fight, and he prepared to fight yet again as Oner and Felix took off following Calhoun's instruction. They were alone now, he could say, though Joshua was nearby dealing with the other Cy-Bug. But now wasn't really question time.

“Let's do it,' he agreed with a nod, and moved on, swinging with his Keyblade while firing off Fira and Thundara spells at it. He aimed for the legs and back torso, guessing those to be weak spots given that it was a giant bug, while Calhoun distracted it with her energy gun thing. Hopefully this wouldn't be too hard.
