With the very first contact of that strange flesh against the palette of her tongue, a shudder of mixed sensations ran through Katerina's form. It was revolting, a strange and foreign taste that clashed with everything she knew. Yet at the same time there was also something entrancing about it, to the point where she had taken a few more bites before she even realized that she had done it. Just what was this stuff?

Yet she was eventually distracted from that, her gag reflex kicking in even as she felt something run through her body. It was a mysterious sensation that rapidly morphed into pain, a pain that consumed and burned so bright it felt worse than the worst time that she had ever been sick. She practically doubled over, lying on the ground and dry heaving with nothing to throw up.

God, was this it? Had that voice lied to her? It was growing hard to think, to make coherent sentences past the solid wall of pain settling over her mind and threatening to completely consume her. All she could do was cry and silently apologize to her sister, for all the things unsaid, for leaving her alone. And to cry for herself, the things she would never experience, and just how stupid she had been. It seemed that she was doomed either way.

Then, the fever broke. Behind the heat was....something else, a power that she hadn't felt before, sheer radiating energy and might. Slowly she rose back to her feet, stumbling and shaking her head even as she was unaware of her now nude state. "W-What is this," Katerina muttered aloud, reveling in the fact that she was not dead and confused by how good she now felt. Indeed, for how she had been scoured to the bone it nonetheless felt like she was better than she had ever been.

Fists clenched, her gaze turned, surveying the scene. There were the other girls from before, some like her, some the same as they had been. They were suicidal to face those things, and those things were what earned most of her ire. She bared her teeth, a growl of anger and rage escaping at the same time as she eyed them darkly, ready to mete out her punishment.

They seemed to understand that as well, turning and running for it. Not that it would save them as she sprang forward, fists swinging and drawing on the skills she had learned from a few fights on the streets of Nizhny. "You bastards," she spat angrily at the same time, as she charged in to begin pummeling the nearest one that she could grab. "What did you do to my sister!"
"My, such hostility," Mitsuki replied with a raised eyebrow, targeting Ryuko with that comment even as she finished off the cookie that she currently held. "We may have our ideological disagreements, but I don't see why that has to stop us from being friends if we want to." She certainly seemed to believe that particular fact. They were all magical girls, so even if they had their differing philosophies, they could still get along.

Moving on to a cookie of the Contractor himself, she flashed a specially bright smile to her fearless and dour leader Erika, even as she was accused and questioned. "Well, I would never be so vain as to request you make cookies of me, but if that happens I won't complain. Besides, is there something wrong with being in a good mood?"

That said, she turned to listen to the introduction itself, sampling her food and waiting for the good bits to arrive. For example, the knowledge that they would have a special guest, and the quick arrival of said special guest. A chill ran through the room as Yuna entered, a reminder of the power that she had which could be brought to bear with such visible force. It was interesting to have her back here, and surely that could only promise interesting things.

Mitsuki's smile tightened slightly, treading dangerously close to a smirk at the same time. Oh, she was always a fan of interesting times. They always provided such....juicy opportunities.

The arrival of the Contractor seemed to solidify that, even as he noted the surge in Primordial activity here in town, and explaining that he had brought them here to arrange a temporary cooperation between the two factions. She was more than willing to work along with the Hero Brigade, if only because of the opportunities it presented. But she imagined that some of her coworkers might not be so happy with that choice.

"Do we know why this is happening," she asked, leaving off deciding for fact finding. She could make her choice later.
And now we learn how Tombprince got their username. :P
Running, running, that was what life was like now, with shadows everywhere and terror around every corner. At the very least they were no longer in imminent danger, but that did not make Katerina feel any better about their situation. Indeed, she might even have been able to pretend that it was a dream, were it not for the twisted shadows, and the bloody wound on the one girl who had been struck before that did not seem like it would let up any time soon.

It was impossible to know how much time had passed, not in this strange reality where light hung in the sky and everything remained in motionless silence. Running along, Katerina found herself not just focusing on the situation at hand, but also worrying. Was her sister in this place? Had she come with? And if not, did she even know if she was gone? Was she lost somewhere in Nizhny? The thought was terrifying, and it kept her from wondering about the other girls that were here.

Then the shadows were back, Katerina's eyes widening as the vicious attack landed, striking down one of the other girls at the same time. Bile rose in her throat at the sight as red rose to the surface, the sight of the lethal wound. Holy shit," she swore, more to herself than anything as the severity of this situation slapped home once again. There had been salvation once, but it was too good to be true. They were going to die here, she would be lost forever, and her sister would be left alone. How could she live with that?

The only surprise was that the....things, seemed to start attacking each other, one of them even killed in the process. Who could have seen that coming? She certainly didn't, yet it didn't come as a relief that they seemed to be arguing over who would get to kill the meals here first.

The only thing more surprising than that was the voice that rang out, urging them to eat the thing that had dropped down dead in front of them. "You have got to be kidding," Katerina muttered in turn. Who knew where that thing had been? And not even that, how did they know that this thing wasn't poisonous? It was as likely to kill her as these things were, and she was still very much a fan of living at the moment.

Yet the situation pushed her along as she noticed the things looking at them all once more, and that prompted her to move, closing in on the thing, wrinkling her nose and fighting past the smell and touch as she ripped off a bit and quickly ate t. If this was the way she would get back to her sister, then there was no other choice.

In a way they are very similar as well. Ulterior motives and motivations indeed.

Yeah, sure, let's go with that. >_>
Oh man, Sakiko and Mitsuki are gonna have issues. I like it.
It didn't take long for Mitsuki Kitagawa to arrive at the school were they would be having their meeting, and she made it just before the transition from rain to snow. That was interesting to see, she supposed, but her mind was focused on more important matters. She had plenty to be concerned with, and as a magical girl the weather was much less of a problem than it ever had been for her as a normal girl.

"Hello everyone," she said with a smile as she stepped into the room, laying her umbrella off to the side so she wouldn't be hindered by it for the duration of the meeting. A quick survey of the room saw several members of the Order and the Hero Brigade arriving, with a few coming in after she had until everyone was there. Well then, this could not end badly at all.

She moved to join the others at that point, soon approached by one of the Hero Brigade members with the offer of food. "Thank you Mako," she replied with a smile and a nod, taking the offered food when it came around for her turn. "It looks delicious. And I suppose that is one way to get the frown off of Erika's face."

She punctuated the point by taking the Erika cookie, ignoring how burned it was, and simply eating a bite right where her mouth was. Admittedly it didn't taste good. At all. But for the sake of her own agenda, she could deal with it. It was hardly an enduring problem after all.

With the meeting about to be called to order, she nodded then to Sakura, leaving the girl alone for the moment, as well as Erika, before turning her attention to Akane, to learn why it was that they had been called here. Yet she merely sighed as it got off to a flubbed start, and the leader of the Hero Brigade dismissed herself with an obvious excuse. Here was hoping that Erika could do better, and Mitsuki waited avidly for her to begin.
Sure, I'd be game.
In another part of town stood one Mitsuki Kitagawa. She had taken the opportunity to skip school for the day, to focus on other matters that were of particular importance to her. Not that she would have bothered explaining them to any of he girls she tended to spend her time with, for they would not have seemed all that important to them. But it was to her.

"There, that wasn't so hard was it," she mused to herself with a smile in her face, looking out on the night sky. She was acutely aware of the time, but it wouldn't be a problem. Honestly she didn't see the need for a meeting, but if they called for it then she wasn't going to argue. It was better to not rock the boat.

At the moment she was in her usual clothes, hiding her nature as a magical girl and also hiding any remnants of what she had been doing. Not that it was relevant, since she knew, and in this case she was the only person that mattered. Just one less thing to worry about.

A sigh escaped then as a hand came to rest on her hip. "I suppose we should be going." With that she set off, an umbrella raised overhead to keep the rain from landing upon her. Not that she minded the rain at all. It was refreshing, and provided some distraction from the banality of life. At least in her mind.

Walking along city streets, a chuckle escaped her lips as she glanced towards the horizon. "I wonder what sort of fun is going to happen today." She knew of the rivalry between the two group leaders, and knew how the groups were unlikely to get along even if they had to cooperate against an existential threat. It was sure to prove interesting, and more than a bit amusing as far as she was concerned. "Now quiet you. I need to concentrate."

With that said she moved towards the meeting spot. What would happen, she wondered? It would be quite amusing to find out.
Moving forward, Katerina could only watch with wide eyes as the girl before them swept into motion, gone in the blink of an eye to defend one of the girls who seemed like she had been in trouble. It took the Russian off guard, both the sudden motion and the crack that accompanied it, the sound of just how fast she was moving in the first place. Just what was going on here right now?

It was obvious that she was not in Russia, and she did her best to grab back on to her wits before anything happened. At the moment it seemed she wasn't being pursued by these....things, these phantoms, so she had more breathing room than the others to work with overall. Not that it made a difference in this situation, since what were her options?

"Understood," she relied in Russian, nodding at the oddly dressed girl as instructions were given out for them to flee. She would not hesitate to do so, only making sure that the girl who had been attacked was taken care of first. That she was, and now it was time for them to leave, as rapidly as possible.

So she ran, ran so that she could see her sister again, headed in the same direction as everyone else. She wasn't sure what would come next, but for now she went along with it. Fear met determination to spur her along, and she did not resist.
