@FallenTrinity
don't double post bro, edit that shit into your last post

@FallenTrinity I believe he means the two posts you made in the OOC at the top of page 4. Honestly, if you double post in the OOC I don't really care. But if it's in the IC thread, I do care. In that scenario, I'd rather the two posts condensed to one, or (if it is two different characters) separated by a heading or something).

Please fill out a CS and get back to me.

Kidding, of course you can.

@Love Me Dead Accepted!
So I'm just floored by the amount of interest in this. At this point, we've got thirteen characters on the roster after less than a week, and everyone seems to be coordinating their efforts in grouping their characters up really well. Proud of you guys!

Sidenote: I was looking through the archives of my computer, and stumbled across my file for the TWD roleplay which inspired this one. After two years, that Roleplay had over 40 characters (only about 10 were alive at the conclusion of the RP), and I had contributed 50,000 words to it (And I was by no means the longest or most eloquent writer of the bunch, so I'm sure others had a much longer word count). So, I found it interesting to look back, but also to strive to make this RP as vibrant and full of depth as we can. Let's make a world that we're proud of, where, when this is all over, we'll look back and think we were all part of something pretty darn cool.
Still working on my character. Hope it's not too late. Yesterday I was busy and didn't had much time.

You're fine! Take as long as you need.
Loud no but there would still be a pop. Silencers don't suppress the sound entirely

True, silencers don't make a gun "silent" by any means. However, they are effective enough that they disfigure the sound of the gunshot, to the point where most individuals not in the immediate area (and unless military trained) wouldn't know the sound as a gun firing -- or precisely where the sound occurred.

@Caramelcorn That's totally fine! Feel free to take as much time as you want to in developing your character's personality and backstory.
@Caramelcorn Accepted! Just remember that we're all in Delaware, not Colorado (So while you're more than welcome to start out there, it may get a bit lonely). Just port your character over to the Characters section in the main thread, and you're good to go!
Desmond Williams

With a swift jerk of his arms, he tossed the mangled sign to the side of the road, and let out a barely audible sigh, before turning around to survey the rest of the street. It was an odd assortment, a half-urban hybrid of contemporary America. Adjacent to multiple small residential homes stood a drab apartment complex. Looters had already torn their way through the street, but a house or two remained relatively unmolested. His pistol at the ready, but in a dormant position, Desmond scanned slowly and meticulously back and forth. Shattered windows, blood stains, wreckages were likely no good. One of the townhouses next to the apartment had been impaled at the base by a FedEx truck, totally obliterating the doorway. It was a wonder that the structure still stood, and Desmond didn't want to try his luck on the interior. Two doors down, a quaint blue residence caught his eye immediately. Not because of the intact windows, or the closed, sturdy door, or the atmosphere of peace and nostalgia that pervaded through the view of the structure -- provided, of course, one closed their eyes and mind to the carnage beside, behind, and all around. No, what caught Desmond's attention was the pair of eyes staring back at him through the kitchen window.

It was a woman. Her eyes were wide and alert, and so were Desmond's. He simply stared, mouth slightly ajar in utter surprise, before he was able to shake himself out of the stupefaction and make an attempt at communication. Slowly, he unloaded his gun and raised it above his head, clip and piece in either hand, to show that he was no threat. Walking forward at an even pace, he did not take his eyes away from her's. She was the first human being he had seen in days, and she could be anyone. She could be a killer. But in this world, they were all killers, and he knew that one of them would have to take a deadly chance sooner or later.
"It's okay," he called, and hoped he was right. "I want to talk."
@Pirouette Accepted!

@CandiBarr Wonderful, thank you!

Edit: To clarify, Desmond made contact with Scout, not Sarah. He presumably hasn't seen Sarah yet, since she's up a couple floors in the apartment complex.
A gunshot rang out and it drew her attention to an SUV near the city limits sign. It was a fair distance away and she had trouble making out what was going on due to a couple houses blocking her view. A gunshot meant that someone was alive.

Hey, sorry to do this to you (I loved the rest of your post) but I just wanted to point out that Desmond's pistol has a silencer, so a loud gunshot wouldn't be heard. Is there any way you could edit this a bit so maybe she just sees him, or something?

Also, @EndlessThoughts, just noticed that you're starting out in upstate new york. This is totally fine, it's just that all the rest of us are down in Wilmington, Delaware, so you may not run into anyone for..well.. quite a while. You might want to make some/all of that first post a flashback, as in, that's what happened during the first week, before he drove south toward Delaware? It's totally your call.
