Kay gladly got down from John's arms and stood on her own two feet, equally worried about Serena and how she currently was. SHe remained close by as the two men brought Serena through to the main room and put her on the couch, letting John have all the room he needed to be able to check Serena over and see what he could do to help her out. "She put a curse on the doc, we both lost our cool when he opened his damn mouth, but Serena let her shadows restrain him before giving him every single ngihtmare from every minor in the hospital wing and from Kay and cursed him to forever feel and see those nightmares every hour. Or something like that. She decided death was too easy of an out for him" he explained, rubbing the back of his neck as he tried to remember everything in the right order to make sure he didn't leave anything out.

Kay couldn't believe what she was hearing and what Serena did for not only her, but all those kids that he was still inflicting a lifetime of pain onto. "Oh Serena... you shouldn't have used that much power" she told her new friend softly. She never wanted her new friends to put themselves in such danger to help her out or keep her safe. "If I knew what you were going to do and how much you were going to put yourself through I never would have allowed you to go" she added, feeling like in some ways this was her fault. If she didn't have those nightmares, if she didn't tell John what they consisted of, then this never would have happened.
Kay made the facial expression of 'ohhhhhh' when he explained what he actually meant before shooting him a sheepish smile. "No I didn't know I was doing that bit, I thought I was just being nice and giving you a hug" she explained, before she too heard the front door open and frowned at Chas and Serena interrupting their weird nice moment together. She was about to jump off his lap when he picked her up making her hold onto him by draping one arm round his neck to the back of his shoulders, and the other holding onto his shoulder from the front. She saw the state of Serena and frowned in worry, wondering what on Earth she did to make herself that drained of energy.

As Serena began to fall as she tried to protest being carried, Chas grabbed her with the aid of her shadows before getting in front of her, squatting down and lifting her onto his back piggy back style. "Serena, no protesting, you can barely stay upright" he told her just as he saw John and Kay appear and he couldn't help but raise an eyebrow at the way they appeared. He did not expect to see John carrying the woman and wondered what they arrived to. He figured it was nothing riskay as they were both very much fully dressed but it was still curious noen the less. "Uh, yeah and no. She's cold to the touch and weak as she used way too much energy. She needs rest quickly" he explained. "I'll explain properly when I got her to bed" he added, stepping forward whilst making sure he had a firm hold on Serena.
When she hugged him, she felt something between them but she didn't pay too much attention to it, not realising it could be anything worth noting. When he asked her if she knew she was doing something, she just assumed it was the hug he was talking about, and not anything else. "Do I know I'm giving you a hug? Yeah" she replied, looking at him as he pulled back a little. "Was that wrong of me to do?" she asked baffled. She truly was oblivious to what had happened during the hug and how it made him feel, not knowing that it could have remotely been something to do with the fact they were destined to be connected in some way.

Chas grabbed ahold of her when she fell to her knees, stopping her from falling flat on her face when he opened the door. "I think you did, you're right. I think once inside and downstairs, you should get some kip and sleep a bit to try and recoop and regain your energy. I can give John and Kay all the information on what went down properly" he told her, helping her up onto her feet. "Do you think you can walk downstairs or do you want carrying?" he asked her.
Kay nodded before frowning slightly when he lowered his head and said he felt a bit drained, unable to stop herself from hugging him and pulling his head onto her shoulder and placed her hand on the back of his head, in an attempt to comfort him as she was still on his lap. "just relax John, I may not know how this all works like you do, but I'm sure it'll pass soon enough" she said to him. She just wanted to help and knew for this kind of thing, she couldn't and she disliked that greatly.

Chas went to begin walking back to the front door with her when she seemed to away making him quickly get to her side. "what's happening? You can't what?" he asked, keeping a hold of her and getting her to the front door of the mill house, where he opened it to try and get her inside.
Hearing that he warned about Serena and that she can't keep losing control, Kay found herself wondering about what exactly happened at that youth asylum between her old doctor and Chas and Serena. She couldn't imagine any other reason for an angel to say such words to John as they both knew Serena hadn't lost her control before so it had to be only when Serena and Chas were away from them to cause such a remark. She looked upwards toward the door as he said about possibly hearing them come back and sighed. "probably" she said. 'thanks for the timing guys...' she sarcastically thought to herself, not daring to say it out loud. "as for the other thing? Maybe he meant equals in the way that we discovered we're two sides to something? I'm the light, she's the dark? I dunno. Only thing I can think of at the moment. I say for now, unless they ask if you had any visitors, we keep quiet about this for now" she suggested, looking back at him.

Chas listened to Serena explain about her last encounter with an Angel and kept rubbing her back in a slow methodical motion, hoping it'll subconsciously start breathing slowly so she doesn't go into a full blown panic attack. "Manny is complicated but no threat. You don't need to worry about him. Like I said, you got three of us to keep you safe from anyone or anything that wants you and Kay. Don't worry about Manny for now. Focus on recooperating after what we just did." he told her as he knew panicking about Manny would do her no good and he had a feeling Manny would be gone anyway, as he never hung around long as John usually pissed him off too juvh to stick around." come on, let's get inside and get you something like a hot chocolate. You're pale as paper and you need to rest and relax. I'm also curious what those two have been up to and kinda hoping we're gonna be interrupting something, just to annoy them both" he smirked, hoping some kind of change of subject would help her out.
Kay was glad that he listened to her and actually did what she told him to do. She took him as the type to ignore what was being told to him and do his own thing anyway, as proven the last couple of nights, so seeing him actually do as he was told was of some great relief to her. She heard what he had to say, and didn't like what he was saying, to her it sounded like this Manny was an utter douchebag, even if he was an Angel. "well he sounds like an utter asshole if you ask me" she told him, before walking round to the front of him and sideways, sat on his lap and lifted his head to look at her. "But listen to me, whatever was done in your past is simply that... your past. Don't listen to him." she told him.

Chas stood up instantly when she did and quickly walked over holding his arms out so he could catch her if she should fall over. "Probably yeah, you said yourself you felt something powerful leave the house. Don't worry, John and I as well as Kay won't let anyone or anything get to you. I promise. If anything I'd have thought he'd be around to either annoy John or has got wind of Kay, rather than you" he explained, trying to be reassuring.
Kay listened and nodded at his answer, having put an educated guess that was the case but she didn't want to just assume and say something wrong so the tactic she used was her best option at the time. She was glad that he wasn't shrugging her off of him so she continued to massage his shoulders to attempt to rid of him the knots in his muscles to try and relax him. "Well he's gone now, so drink your beer and try and relax." she told him, "It feels like you've never relaxed your body in your entire life John" she teased. "Anything else we have to do can wait for a little while. You need to give yourself a break just for a few moments, trust me on that" She added, completely talking from experience. She wanted to tell him about what Fee told her about how they were destined to have met, but she knew it could wait so she kept quiet about that.

Chas kept watch over Serena and was impressed that Serena could have done such a curse, even if it did mean she had to lose some of her self control to do it. The fact it was possibly dark magic didn't phase him as John specialised in such magic, so it was nothing new to him in that regard. "Well he deserved it" he said before looking toward the house at her next remark about sensing something powerful as she put it, leaving the house. "If I had to guess, it'd be Manny. He likes to pop in and annoy John whenever he can, thinks he's being useful and helpful but is actually being far from it. Angels aren't all what one would think they are." He explained to her, hoping that it would stop her worrying about it possibly being something negative.
Kay saw how fed up and drained John looked and wondered if it had anything to do this being he was speaking off before it felt like she had somehow lost a little bit of time. "you okay?" she asked him, putting her bottle down and walking behind him, hesitantly at first but eventually placed her hands on his shoulders and tried to help but massaging the stress he was feeling away. She hoped he wouldn't brush her off but if he did she would accept the action, but she still hoped he wouldn't. She wanted to help in whatever way she could, even if she didn't know fully what way that was outside of massaging his shoulders.

Chas rubbed her back comfortingly and shook his head. "if you didn't I would have. I wanted to punch that guy right into the ground when he was talking" he told her. "the father in me just got so angry that he spoke of kids and Kay like that. You're right, death was too easy a punishment for him. Hopefully now he'll think twice before touching another minor" he explained. With his free hand he rummaged in the bag to find another rag or tissue for her which he eventually found and pressed against her nose. "keep your head forward and keep the pressure on" he instructed.
Manny listened but his face gave nothing away of what he was thinking inside. "she is a by product of the one thing that came from Paradise John. Do you really think its just the downworld that would be after her? Once heaven learns of this, they'll be after her as well. It is written also that she is to be linked to the hellblazer, who does that remind you of?"he started replying," and ah yes, Serena, the protector and equal to your little flame bird here. I sense she's outside with your friend." he added. "she cursed someone today, out of losing control of herself and her abilities. She's a liability if she keeps losing control. Keep her under control John" he said, before vanishing and making Kay came back into movement. Kay blinked a couple of times wondering what just happened but shrugged it off and took another swig of her beer bottle.

"understandable. John can tap out if he uses something too much or new. We don't have to rush back inside either way, just take your time." Chas replied, enjoying the fresh air and the smell of the water stream beside the mill house. "The other two will be fine inside so we don't need to worry about much right now." he added.
"why so defensive John? You can't dismiss what she is. I have to agree she's safest here, I just didn't believe it at first. The downworld is getting wind of her existence, now that demons can't keep their mouths shut, so she needs whatever protection you can give her. She is rare indeed." he replied then decided to take a look at Kay more, feeling her aura. "she's the direct descendant of Fira. Her aura and soul is almost identical." he said in amost surprise, circling her now. "How much do you know of their kind and the bloodline John?" he asked.

Outside the millhouse, Chas quickly grabbed a hold of Serena a before she could hit the floor so she was kept safe. He helped her to a nearby wall and sat her down on it, deciding that giving her some fresh air and a moment to rest was a much better idea. "take it easy Serena. Just gather yourself out here for a moment before we go inside" he said, sitting beside her. He pulled out a bottle of watter from the bag he had and opened it before handing it to her. "here, sip this to help gather yourself" he suggested softly.
