It took Kay all of about two minutes before she fell into a deep sleep and for once she didn't have any nightmares stirring in her mind. She didn't even have any good dreams, it was just a deep blank sleep so she could recover from healing so many people all at once.

Chas listened to John carefully and nodded his understanding. "then let's get you inside and try and figure something out." he suggested, it was then he saw out the corner of his eyes the shadow alpha wolf of Bane outside doing his own searches. "and besides, looks like Serena and Bane have this covered" he added.
Kay was thankful for the help to the couch and the blanket which she wasted no time in getting under and pulling a cushion right under her head, placing one hand under the cushion as well. The moment she did she was getting more fatigued and just wanted to sleep but did hear what Serena said, "I'll try" she yawned, before mentally going into her mind to try and ask Fee what Serena wanted to know. It took a few moments but eventually Kay did reopen her eyes and looked at Serena, "she sensed something but couldn't say what. Not without being outside and doing her own checks" she explained. Her words just managed to get out of her mouth before she fell asleep.

Chas saw John on his knees outside the front door making him run over to his mate and helping him onto his feet. "John you alright mate?" he asked concerned, wondering what the hell was going on that was causing John not to feel stronger again. "I couldn't find anything out of the ordinary which is frustrating" he explained, helping him into the house.
Kay nodded and was thankful for the little bit of aid. She honestly felt like she could fall asleep and happily remain so for days, even if wouldn't be the case, she wouldn't say no to it at the same time. Listening to the bit of advice from Serena as they got inside, she nodded, "Sure I trust your instincts" she replied, "Just get me on the couch, I really need a nap" she smiled before she began yawning. She did plan on going to her room and sleeping on the bed alone for a while, but if Serena said about not being alone then not alone she would agree to being.

CHas agreed that it was definitely for the best that the two women needed at least one of them around for the time until he could finish doing the round of searching. As John headed toward the house, Chas started doing a check round the perimeter of the mill house and woodland that surrounded it. He went as far as checking down most of the dirt road that would take anyone to the main road before he would even think about heading back. As he went he didn't find anything out of the ordinary, not even anything left hidden on the ground or in the grass at the sides of the roads to give any kind of hint that someone was there searching for Kay. Yet like the others, he felt something was off somewhere, he just couldn't find it and it was greatly irritating him.
When Kay's wings and aura began healing the people crowded round the mage that was hidden within the crowd watched on with great intrigue. A smirk appeared on his face as he realised the word that was spreading round the downworld was indeed true. "well bugger me, the word is true. Seems I have a good cash grab indeed" he muttered to himself, remaining blended in the crowd until it was time to disperse where he vanished off to put his plan into action.

Kay had no idea how her wings were doing what they were but she could see how they were helping these people and glad they were getting better. She watched as they seemed to hope again and look they had will to live once again. It was however making her feel weak as it was for so many people, having only really healed one person at a time before. Her wings folded back behind her in a relaxed position when it was done whilst Serena's shadows shrouded her from sight for John to wipe all their memories of how and why they got to the mill house. She smiled slightly when Serena came over and told her good job done, but she was tired and lacked the energy to really say or smile more. "yeah" was all she could manage to get out.

Chas saw how drained John still was and listened to his quiet muttering before nodded. "got it, I'll start walking round with the excuse of making sure there's no stragglers behind" he muttered back, not wanting to alarm the girls. He glanced over and saw the fatigue on Kay, "think shhe needs some rest. She looks really tired John" he remarked.
Outside, she let Serena come up to her and John, huddle into them both and explain what was going on. The idea of a memory wipe being made afterwards was of some comfort as she really didn't want to be hunted after being seen so publicly with her wings out in broadlight. She looked at John when he confirmed he could handle the wiping of minds part, if she was willing to do this to help people. The fact he gave her the option to back out meant a lot to her, but she felt deep down she couldn't back out, even if she wanted to. "I'll do it" she said to them both, "just...just keep anyone who might rush me away please? I can't handle the idea of being rushed at" she added, before sighing and stepping in front of Serena to look at the all faces of people who weredesperate for hope. A look in the eyes that she knew personally all too well. A look she herself had for a long time before she met Serena, John and Chas.

With a deep inhale, she equally deeply exhaled as her hands shook from nerves as the many eyes all stared at her, still muttering about how she was their hope. As she tried to mute out their mutters, she let her wings appear through her 'tattoo' on her back, the marking glowing softly, getting brighter and brighter until her wings appeared and stretched out wide either side of her and upwards slightly. The reds and oranges of the feathers seeming to pick up the glimmer of the sun's rays and almost glitter in its rays. The full wing span an impressive length, easily equally the same as the height of a 6ft man on each wing.
Kay nodded at John's words, deciding that hopefully if she could somehow heal these random people, then John would start feeling better himself. "Okay" she replied, deciding to help him get to outside as Serena was outside conversing through the shadows with the people. She didn't even think that John would be keeping any extra information from her, just taking what he said at face value. She just hoped she could help at least some of these people and that it wasn't some kind of trick or some kind.

Chas watched Serena as she did what she could, hoping that the woman was correct in that Kay wouldn't even have to touch these people to do some good. This felt so far from his and John's normal stint that he almost slightly uncomfortable with it. He honestly felt like they were just using Kay or about to parade her around as this attraction or something, but he would keep those thoughts to himself. He watched on throughout the crowd to make sure that no demons or anything else downworld related was around, not knowing that there was indeed a mage in the crowd. Kay managed to step outside which made him look toward the front door, hoping she wouldn't get mobbed as he could see just how uncomfortable the woman was feeling deep down. He was just glad she wasn't alone.

As she stepped out, murmurs could be heard throughout the crowd declaring her arrival outside, people saying how they just know its her and she's the one who could save them. The mage who was well hidden in the crowd watched on with great curiosity, seeing Kay's bright flame ombre coloured hair first, recognising it as a sign of the phoenix. 'well i'll be' he thought to himself.
Kay helped him up and walked to the window looking out at the sheer amount of people who were coming toward Chas and Serena as they tried to keep them a safe distance from the house. It was daunting and overwhelming seeing them all and John's words about what he sensed was wrong with them didn't help to lower her anxiety on the situation. "if I'm to do this, then let me try and help you first" she told him after being silent for a few moments. "I can't do this without you" she told him.

Chas glanced at Serena as she explained what she was figuring out from the way these people were. "do you really think Kay can do this? This is a lot of people" he asked before noticing out the corner of his eye, John and Kay in the window but didn't bring any attention to them. He didn't want to risk the people in need of help, noticing and heading to the house. He didn't want to have lack of trust in Kay and what she could do but he also knew she was still learning about who she was and was concerned about her doing this.
Chas didn't like what he was hearing. Demon infections were never a good thing and considering they were the main beings wanting Kay, he wasn't so sure he wanted the woman to be out here. But for now he was going to trust Serena and her decision making. "right" he replied, he remained close by Serena as he saw her getting light headed again, "and we will, come on" he said, walking to where they needed to be and let Serena sit on a pile of wood planks. He then looked at the people as they reached them, "why are you all here?" he asked them all.

Kay really didn't believe she could help, she wasn't some healer sent from God, or anything else. To her, she was just her. She held his hand back and although she fully believe him, she nodded at his words anyway. "you sure you can make it out there? You look beat John" she told him, but helped him up anyway. Truth was, she was nervous about going out there, but she also didn't like the idea of Chas and Serena being out there alone when Serena was weak herself.
Indeed. Oooh what if a mage was cloaked from John and was at the house in the crowd to just watch on to see if Kay was the real deal as word was getting round the downworld of a living phoenix and how demons wanted her, and that's how he decided to take her for his own gain? Giving John and co an ultimatum of some kind. Maybe like, John needs to do something for them to get Kay back or he's selling her to the demons as there's a hefty price tag on her head? A bit like that episode of his solo show when the mage wanted John to get rid of a dog demon for Geraldine's soul.
If John was saying that he didn't think it was a threat coming their way but people in need of help, Chas was going to believe it, even though he had no idea how people would even know how to find this place. He found himself then look at Serena as she sat up slowly, keeping the feather on her chest. The idea that people had managed to find the place and were in of Kay's help was utterly mind blowing to him.

Kay didn't know how to take the news that they were all there for her, in need of an end of their suffering when she barely knew how to control her powers herself. She stayed with John but did look up at the window and was completely shocked at how many peoplewere coming toward the mill house. "I don't know if I can help them.." she muttered, she felt helpless as it was with helping John. "Okay I will" she then replied to Serena, letting Chas go and help Serena up and outside the house. Chas did indeed go and help Serena up from the couch and lead her outside where he saw the sheer amount of people coming toward them. "Serena, we're gonna have to keep them away from the house, but close enough that if we need to get Kay away and back inside we can. If they get too close they could come into contact with wardings John has on the house" he explained, "so I think over by the tree lines there opposite the house would be the best spot" he suggested.

Back in the house Kay stayed with John, keeping an eye on him, hoping he would be able to find this pain passing soon. "John how am I meant to help that many people? I'm not a healer..." she said, her tone making it clear she was unsure that she could help anyone.
