Chas smiled at her, "its okay, I understand" he told her, holding his hand out to her to take his hand. "you wanna take the cab or walk into town?" he asked her as he exited the house with her.

Kay listened to him open up and she truly felt sorry for him. Yet she also understood it because she felt like it was her fault that her friend Ethan got possessed and no doubt hurt. She didn't however want him to feel this stressed and wished there was a way to calm him. As she kept wishing she could help, a wave of calm went from her to John via the bond on their wrists. "I get it John, I really do.." she told him softly, still sending the wave of calm onto him. She then lifted his hand as it was still in hers, and kissed the back of his hand.

"I will be here to shoulder some of this stress you're feeling if it will help you" she told him, using her hand that was on his shoulder to turn his head to face her, where she kissed him. Letting it linger for a moment, she then pulled away and looked him in the eyes, "we got this...together"
Seeing Dean react to her reaction at his order just made her smirk all the more. It felt good to be able to jest with him like this even though they were on a case. His comment about annoying the receptionist to use their restroom instead just made her laugh softly, whilst shaking her head until she looked at him with a faked offended look on her face about his comment on her own eating habits.

"do you really think I only ever eat a strict healthy diet 24/7? I treat myself to junk every now and then, contrary to popular belief" she jested back. "and compared to what you ordered mine probably still is considered healthy" she giggled.

He then completely threw her off guard for a split moment when he called her gorgeous and complimented her on her hunting skills. She wasn't expecting him to come out with it so when he did, she blushed at his words as she always took his words to her to heart. She could see how he was almost regretting bringing up the last part of his compliment, knowing why he would, which she found perfectly understandable.

"thank you, it means a lot to hear you say that. It really does" she replied back to him, tucking her lose whispy strands that framed her face behind her ear on one side. "I really do care what you think when it comes to my hunting. And as for the former comment? That also means a lot, you look amazing yourself today" she continued saying.

As she finished speaking, the waitress came over with their sodas, placing them on the table. "food will be right up soon" they got told before the waitress then walked away.

Mika took her lemonade and sipped it through the straw that was provided and realised in that first sip just how thirsty she truly was.
MIKA CHAMBERS

Dean's words to her made her feel relieved that he was so willing to accept she would need time to come to terms that he had the better get out than she did when they broke up for three years, for the most part. That wasn't to say she had it rough with Ethan, far from it, but in comparison she felt like Dean had it better with Esme. That was one thing that she knew she'd have to get over so it didn't make her jealous all over again.

He knew what her time with Ethan was like for the most part, she had told him everything when she took the plunge to contact him when Ethan got killed because she didn't know who else to call. She didn't even went to contact Bobby over it at the time, so before she could change her mind she turned to Dean. She needed help to kill the werewolf that killed Ethan out of revenge for her disposing of its mate. But she was too emotionally a mess to think clearly and needed backup to keep her on the straight and narrow... Dean was the one that always succeeded in that. It also meant when she gave Ethan the honour of a hunter's funeral, she told Dean everything about her time with the man.

Hearing that he still thought of them as the forever duo also was of great relief. It told her that through time, they could get passed this bump in the road and be like they were if they worked at it.

Mika barely noticed Sam being around, until he actually spoke up. The fact that Sam even now was still making a point to check in on them said so much to her about the kind man Sam had truly grown up to be. She was actually so proud of Sam. She let Dean do the talking to his brother, before giving a slight smirk back at him when he smirked at her. "we'll be right down Sam. Promise" she added to him.

"alright" Sam replied, "glad you two are alright" he added, giving the doorframe a light knock with a casual fist before turning back on his heels and heading downstairs.

SAM AND NATALIA WINCHESTER

He figured that whilst he was upstairs checking on two of his favourite people in the world, that others would be downstairs talking logistics, even if he didn't even realise Annabeth was downstairs. He had his suspicions as he definitely heard a voice that didn't belong to any of the others down there, but he wasn't going to say anything about it. By the time he reached downstairs, Annabeth was already down in the basement again and out of his eyesight.

He looked around at the others as he rejoined them, seeing that some kind of plan seemed to have been made, as Cason was clapping his hands together and moving the conversation forward. "they're both fine up there, they'll need some time with some things but they're good" he explained to everyone, but mostly to Bobby and Natalia as he knew they were the only ones who really needed to know.

"neither are going to go on a war path for anyone else basically" he added, looking in Esme's direction to show her that she would be safe from Mika's wrath. He didn't want the woman going to a motel thinking that Mika was going to stab her in the back either metaphorically or literally at the drop of a hat. The woman deserved to go away for the night knowing that.

Natalia was glad that Mika had somehow managed to be calmed down. Not that she ever had any doubt in Dean's ability to do as such. She was also glad that what she told Dean about how Mika would come round to the news, so he should tell her everything was right. She may not have known exactly what was discussed but she could make a very close educated guess, which proved to be right and show Dean that she was every much of an observant Winchester as he or Sam.

"I said I could crash on the couch for the night, Esme was going to go to the nearby motel about five minutes drive away I think, Annabeth will stay in the vault, we can make her be more comfortable in there. Dunno where Dean will go or if Mika will let him actually in their room for the night. What about you?" she explained to Sam, "I'll crash in the vault with Anna, keep her calm and such. I'm sure I can find or borrow extra pillows and such from Meeko if I ask nicely enough" he replied with a smile.
Chas chuckled at the way Trish was being excited over getting some ice cream. He was so glad that he could help with something, to give the others a chance to have a proper break. Everyone needed it and he knew Trish would soon get too bored doing nothing round the mill house. "careful Trish" he said to her, as he followed her to the front door and headed out with her.

As Serena started to glow silver, Josh looked on out of intrigue and interest. He had never seen anything like it before and it was quite frankly one of the most fascinating things he had ever seen in his entire life. He couldn't take his eyes off the shadows and Serena.

Kay really did feel sorry for John, it was clear this was all getting too much for him to shoulder. "we'll figure this out, don't worry. I promise" she said softly to him, giving his shoulder a slight massage. She reached her free hand over and held his, interlocking their fingers. "you don't have to deal with this on your own, just like you told me I don't have to deal with my stuff alone. We're a team now...bonded quite literally to each other. So allow me to shoulder some of this with you" She continued saying.
Mika chuckled at his assumption of what kind of feel the diner had, and she had to admit he had a valid point to make. It did have that family run business feel going on which was always appealing to her. "you're probably right about that" she smiled, wondering if his broad smile was down to remembering the same memory as herself.

When he ordered what he did, instantly seeming to know what he wanted as the waitress greeted them, she too rose an eyebrow at his choice. "oh boy.. Lord help me tonight in the motel" she thought to herself before looking through the menu just quickly before looking up at the waitress after smirking at Dean's suggestion.

"I'll take the Southern fried chicken burger" she ordered, getting a nod from the waitress as she wrote it down, taking the menus and walking away from them. Mika then looked at Dean again, "seriously? The toilet burger?" she said to him, an amused expression on her face.

"I swear if you start stinking up the motel room tonight you're in the doghouse" she teased, knowing she didn't actually mean it but she wouldn't hesitate shoving him out of the bed onto the floor.
Mika chuckled at his comment about the diner smelling like it did good burgers. To her it was such a typical Dean thing to say which made her heart soar and a smile to be on her face broadly. She even welcomed having his hand on her lower back again as they headed to the back corner booth he manage to spot before she did and headed to it.

At his question and assumption she smiled as she too sat down opposite him. "I think we deserve a short break" she commented back to him, "and you're right, it does. Reminds me of our many diner visits as teenagers" she said back to him agreement. Of course, for her nothing beat her first diner date with him, even if the night ended up upsetting because her dad couldn't control his anger. The time they spent at the diner, with her just ordering cheesy fries and a milkshake to share with him was still, even after all this time, one of her most fondest memories.

She saw him peering round to assess the diner and knew he was making sure there was no immediate danger, which she didn't blame him for doing. If she was on her own she would have done the same thing. Just as she was going to say something, a waitress walked over with the menus, placing one in front of both of them with a smile, "welcome, here's the menus, and the specials are on the board above the bar. Can I get you both a drink to start with?" she greeted them both.

"I'll have a lemonade thanks" Mika replied, craving a cold drink instead of more coffee. She knew she'd probably be drinking her weight in caffeine if the case they were on dragged on at all. So for now, she was going to let herself have a soda and screw being healthy for a change.
Chas nodded and headed downstairs where he saw Trish waiting for him, bouncing on her feet which made him smile. She really did remind him of Geraldine so much. "we're good to go" he told her.

Josh could see what the shadows were doing and wondered if turning off the lamp near her bed would be of some help to them, so he got up and walked over to the lamp, turning it off. "hope that helps" he told the shadows.

Kay sighed, but she did understand it. "I do get it. Probably more than you'd think, whether it was down to mundane things like my studying or just not stopping when on the streets. It wasn't just demons or whatever else I was trying to keep a low profile from. It was also the general cops and such" she explained. "but that's why I nag you to stop every now and then. Because I know what it does to your wellbeing when you don't" she told him.

She reached her arm round his shoulders and rested her head against him, to try and calm him in some way, not even sure if it would work.
MIKA CHAMBERS

When she said her reaction, she wasn't naiive in thinking that they may not have hurt him. But considering all the things she could have said, she thought they were the least hurtful. She also figured when she was ready to, she owed Esme an apology and a word of thanks, but only when she was ready to and not be stubborn in refusing to look at the woman.

It would take her time to come to terms with everything he finally admitted to her, and that as something they both had to accept. As he whispered to her and kissed her lips, she kissed him back, doing as he requested of her and let him speak once more. She didn't particularly like what she was hearing but that was solely because she knew it was the truth. They were both in an incredibly tough moment in their lives singly and together which unfortunately took its toll on their relationship.

Mika continued to let him speak, closing her eyes as she took in the feel of him brushing her hair from her face, speaking more about when he walked away but tried tor eassure her that he wasn't going anywhere this time, even if it ended on the reiteration that he did have that with Esme. She looked him in the eyes and tried her hardest to look accepting of the information, which she did but she also knew it would take a while to be completely accepting of it.

"I love you too Dean. I know you are but I've always known that. I'd like to think I know you love me, even if you don't say it often. It shows in your actions...for the most part" she told him honestly, meaning those actions that didn't include making out with another woman.

"as much as this hurts, I can't stop loving you, ever" she added, not looking away from his eyes to show him she meant every word. "we're forever always...right?" she spoke once more, leaning in and kissing his lips briefly before hugging him tightly. "I keep telling myself we've come back from worse. I will need time to fully accept this all, but that doesn't mean I want us to break up or anything...far far from it. I need you more than ever" she explained.

NATALIA WINCHESTER

Nat had a feeling Annabeth wouldn't like what she heard too well but she saw no point in trying to sugarcoat it to the woman. She didn't believe in sugarcoating anything to anyone, despite her history, and Annabeth deserved to know what was going on just as much as the rest of them.

At the mention of where Annabeth should sleep for the night, causing Cason's reply Natalia also pulled a discreet face that perfectly conveyed 'yeesh' even though Cason was only telling Annabeth how it was, just like she was. Didn't mean it wasn't any less painful to say that he was willing to kill her if it came to it.

"I hate to admit it, but Cason is right. I can crash on this couch if Bobby will take me, I know Mika will stay here as its her home as well as Bobby's, not got a clue about what Dean will do, guess that depends on what Mika will want in a way... I'd almost suggest trying to make the pop up bed thing in the vault more comfortable, and you stay in there Annabeth, just to keep you safe from the Angels and Alistair. I'm sure Sam will stay with you if you wanted." she suggested.

At Cason saying he'd stay with Esme, she did think that maybe Esme wouldn't want that but she was going to say nothing on the matter, letting Esme make her own decisions.

SAM WINCHESTER

After a while of hushed chatter between the two of them, Sam decided to stand up off the step, having overheard a lot of what was being said downstairs, but not all of it. He did however hear enough to get a just of what they were discussing.

He walked to the doorway of Mika's room and lightly rapped on the door, "everyone good in here? The guys downstairs are talking about sleeping arrangements" he explained softly, concern for them both evident in his face.
Dean's earlier remark about her living off rabbit food and light beer made Mika smirk and roll her eyes. Sure he wasn't far wrong with that but she wasn't going to easily give him that quip. It just meant she would have surprise him with something other than a salad when they grab lunch.

--

With both hers and Dean's business cards given to the coroner, they left and she had to admit she was more than glad to be leaving. Morgues just always made her uneasy deep down, even though she never showed it. For her it was a bit too much of a trigger to her knowing that the bodies on the slabs could have been her. Not only that she simple hated the clinical smell they always had.

His whisper made her smirk and half successfully stifle a snigger, "oh you definitely pull that off well" she whispered back to him as they made their way back upstairs, to the reception area and outside into what could be considered 'fresh air' as he said what a good boss she made.

"glad you think so and come on, let's get your stomach fed with that burger you so want" she smiled, seeing a diner two doors down on the opposite side of the road. It seemed like the most logical option as she wouldn't be far from her car that she always hated leaving far from her, being the paranoid woman she was.

She walked with him to it, crossing the road and heading inside looking for a corner booth or table so they wouldn't be possibly bothered. She wanted to drop the bravado just a little bit with him over lunch and she knew a back corner table or booth was the perfect way to do that.

Chas chuckled at how much happier Trish seemed to get and lead her out of the garden room, leading her to where Josh was. It still amazed how much she knew about Serena when they had only just met. Reaching the room he saw Josh back in the chair across the room and the shadows seeming to heal up Serena's wounds.

"I said I'd take Trish to get some ice cream, if that's okay with you" he said quietly to Josh, to which Josh nodded, "sure, she'll love that."Josh replied.

Seeing John finally give in to her request made Kay sigh inwardly with relief, glad that for once he was actually listening to someone." yes it will make me feel betted" she said back at him eith a defiant smile. She took his hand and dragged him to the couch and sat down, pulling him with her. "you gotta just stop sometimes John" she told him.
