Kay wasn't satisfied with just being told by John that he was okay. She felt the need to know for herself, even though he was insisting he was fine. Seeing him flinch however made her pull her fingers away from his burns, "sorry and you're welcome. I felt you were in trouble and had to find you both" she told him.

Sam nodded, "I'm glad you're okay, you're all welcome to stay here as long as you need to save hotel costs. I've only got one spare room, so if two of you are fine with sleeping on the couches if you're here that long then you can stay" Sam explained. Kay smiled every so slightly, "you really haven't changed Sam" she commented, looking at her sister, "well I'm hardly gonna kick my long lost sister out as well as her friends and partner" Sam countered. "which I need to know more about, i'm surprised you're with anyone, relationships was my thing not yours" she added.
Kay looked to Bane as he spoke up first about what John needed and then what Serena needed. Nodding, Kay went back into the kitchen and found Sam's freezer where she got out some ice and wrapped them in a tea towel then came back out and handed it to John, sitting next to him. Sam gave a small wave back to JOhn as he greeted her, "nice to meet you too." she replied, then looked at Bane, "everything you need to help Serena is in the first aid kit on the table" she explained.

She then looked back at John, "I wanna say before anything else thank you...for finding Kay and bringing her back to me" she told him. She wished it was under better circumstances but she was grateful, even if she knew deep down Kay wouldn't be staying. She watched as Kay checked John over, looking at the burn whip marks and how they were after she had earlier put the cream on, seeing that Kay really was looking JOhn over tentatively and showed great care towards him.

"it's clear she cares a lot for you" Sam added.
MIKA CHAMBERS

Dean's frown told Mika that he was nervous and frustrated that she hadn't gotten anything of importance out of Annabeth during the drive to the motel, and she couldn't blame him for thinking and feeling in such a way. If the roles were reversed she probably would have felt the same way, but at the same time she couldn't say she blamed Annabeth for being more worried about Sam in Dean's car, than talking with her about herself.

Hearing him state rather question about what she thought of Annabeth's intentions toward Sam, she could nothing but nod as he zoned out a little, obviously letting himself remember the night Sam ran off with Annabeth to that dingy house in the woods. She listened to him continue to talk as he snapped back into reality as they reached their room, where she unlocked the door and let them both inside. "I don't think she hates you Dean, she's nervous of you as you are of her. That much I know for sure. She's just worried you'll fly off the handle and shoot first, ask questions later or upset Sam. I don't see her as a threat at all and I don't think it'll come to you dealing with her." she replied, clsoing the door behind them once inside.

She dropped their bags on the floor by the large bed, finding it a nice refreshing change to have one big bed they could share, rather than two beds they insist on cosying up in. "But figuring out Annabeth can wait, we have more important things to deal with at the moment in this town" she pointed out, facing him as she lightly and lovingly tapped the tip of his nose with her fingertip and smiling softly at him. "we need to figure out which of the two locations we're gonna be hitting up and with who, as well as trying to contact Esme and Cason to find out where the hell they are" she added.

NATALIA AND SAM WINCHESTER

Sam heard Annabeth out on what she overheard from Dean and Mika as they discussed whatever it was with each other quietly. "SHe doesn't think you're weird. Trust me, if she did she would be make it known. She's probably just....curious or concerned about the quiet drive. She's used to noise in the car and was probably just surprised she had a quiet passenger for a change" he smiled, trying to reassure her.

He closed the trunk after getting their things out of it and turned to Annabeth, placing his hand on her shoulder comfortingly, "just give them both time. But maybe yeah, talking on drive home would help. Just remember, Mika defended both of us when we were kids that night, if anyone can talk Dean round it's her." he told her.

"Sam is right, Mika can be very maternal over people once you get passed that barrier, it's just getting through. Trust me, she likes you or she would have insisted you come in my car" Natalia chimed in having overheard their conversation as she got her belongings out of her car next to them. "SO try not to worry about it for now. You got Sam anyway, so go get inside your room, relax for a few minutes whilst you both can and then we can ll decide which location to head to" Natalia suggested with a smile, looking between both Sam and Annabeth.

"you too Nat, if you need anything let me know okay?" Sam replied, to which Nat gave a simple nod in return. "just look after this one here. She needs you more than I do" she smiled, gesturing toward Annabeth before patting Sam on the chest and then headed to her room.
Sam sighed as Kay said what she did, without saying a word she got up, walked round the counter and hugged Kay tightly, kissing the top of her head. "I love you sis. Its gonna take a lot to understand, especially as I'm still trying to compute you're even alive, let alone the fact you're, you're not fully human" Sam explained. "I know, I didn't want to bombard you with everything, not in one swoop anyway...." Kay replied.

"I know....look, we can slowly discuss this later, you got a boyfriend out there who needs you right now and I wanna properly meet the man that saved my sister's life" Sam smiled, making Kay groan and roll her eyes. "fine" Kay replied back, standing up and hugging Sam even tighter before pulling away and taking her hand, walking back into the living room with her.
Sam nodded at Bane's words before letting him head back to the living room where John and Serena was. She looked back toward the kitchen staring at the doorway to it, trying to gain the inner emotional strength to go back in there and actually talk to Kay. She let Bane's words ring through her head 'she's still your sister' she thought over and over.

Kay was still sat on the stool in the same state as she was when Sam left the kitchen, she didn't even look up when Sam did eventually come back in and sat opposite her. Sam grabbed her hands gently and shakily to make Kay look at her. "I'm sorry... Its just... Its a lot to take in ya know?" Sam quietly and softly spoke. Kay nodded a little and looked at her in the eyes, "I know..until I met John, I didn't even know what I was. Who I was. Sam, if I could have guaranteed you wouldnt have been in danger at the time I would have come back to you so much sooner. But I couldn't... I can't lose you Sam" Kay told her.
All of Lexi's previous thoughts of not being someone Dean would take a second glance at, or it being way too soon for him to even look at another woman in the same way he did his past girlfriend all came flying out of the window as he scooted closer to her, smiling back. His green eyes glistening in the light of the armoury as his eyes seemed to smile back as well as his lips, a smile that seemed to compliment her own perfectly. It made her guiltily wonder where he had been all her life and why it had taken all these months to meet him, after knowing Sam all this time or why she hadn't met him before she met her now deceased fiancee.

She too had moments of curiousity of how Sam never hit on her during their time of knowing each other but she always appreciated how different he was by not seeing her as someone to just hit on, he saw she was a woman who was grieving and having to salt and burn her fiancee and mourn his departure of this world. He respected her wishes and actions all the way and never once used her grieving as an excuse to try and win her over. Instead he befriended her when she really needed it and that meant more to her than the idea of getting with him. Now she was also was wondering if it was because the universe was waiting to make her meet Dean.

The fact that neither of them were in a hurry to move away from each other made her intrigued, her eyes flickered down toward her hip as Dean placed his hand there before her eyes flickered back up to his, the smile never leaving her lips or her eyes as he began to lean in closer to her face and.....Sam interrupted them. Gulping and running her hand through her hair to shake off the ever growing intense moment she was about to have with Dean, she looked at Sam as Dean acted incredibly awkward and defensive over Sam's question.

"uh-huh, sure. Anyway, I hope a lot of that is silver because we're dealing with a Strigoi" He explained, looking between the two of them. "A european vampire?" Lexi asked, eyebrow raised, the name ringing a bell in her mind from her past days of reading about other country's lores and mythical beings out of boredom. "The very one. The lore changes around with them but every version says a silver blade to the heart or decapitation of the head can kill them" Sam explained, feeling like he really did interrupt something, which tugged at the corner of his mouth in an upwards direction making him smirk ever so slightly. oh he was most certainly going to drill Lexi about this on the way out to the hunt, away from Dean's ears and eyes.

"nasty sons of bitches. The original being that sparked the whole typical vampire we know today in fiction. We're gonna have to be careful, but lets get moving" Lexi replied, grabbing the stuff she picked out and carefully exiting the armoury, being careful to not knock into Dean in the process.

Back in the hallway, she gave Sam some of the gear to carry. "Guess we'll see you later tonight then" she turned to Dean, her eyes sparkling in the artifical light of the bunker hallway.
The way Dean stammered his reply just emphasised Lexi's opinion of endearment she had of Dean and the whole place she was surrounded by. She had to nod her agreement on his remark on being this close to someone she didn't really know was incredibly personal but she trusted him, in her eyes if he was Sam's brother then she didn't need to be worried in this moment. She felt like she was a good judge of character and although she knew Hunters were more than capable of doing some retty questionable things, she knew she'd trust Sam with her life and if Dean was that questionable, then Sam wouldn't let her anywhere near him alone.

She listened to him explain how the bunker was passed down to them by their grandfather, a story that Sam had never truly fully told her about and was one she most definitely wanted to hear at some point or another. She smiled more and sniggered lightly as he chuckled whilst mentioning the proper beds comment, knowing all too well how hard it could be for a proper decent bed to be available to hunters. The extra comment of 'plenty of room' also made her continue to smile and nod.

Grabbing some silver blades and ammo, knowing she was low on silver bullets she began placing the items down on another counter, as her fingers grazed over other weaponry lightly, showing that she really did look and respect what was before her. "and I appreciate being let to crash here for a couple of days. The motels around here look major dodgy if you ask me" she replied. Turning back to face him, she noticed him standing sideways slightly but said nothing, it wasn't her business and she certainly didn't know him well enough to know if it was normal of him or not.

"maybe one day you can tell me the story of how you got this passed down to you" she suggested, her own way of discreetly finding out more about the bunker and having an excuse to spend a bit more time with him to know him better. There was something about him, and as much she partly felt like she wanted to remain faithful to her first love, she knew he wouldn't want her to feel alone forever, and right now she was just learning about Dean like she had about Sam.

She couldn't stop looking and smiling at him, finding that since her fiancee he was one of the first people to make her smile this way again. He was a breath of fresh air to her, even if he was grieving and she felt slightly bad for wanting his attention, even if she didn't think he would want to look at her in any particular way in this moment of time.

"Guys! I found what we're fighti-" Sam's voice came through the corridor but got cut off when he saw the two of them staring at each other in the armoury. "Am I interrupting something?" he asked them both.
Lexi walked behind the boys and caught up to Dean, noticing how he glanced back at Sam who was back with his nose stuck in the books. She looked up at him as he spoke to her and walked side by side toward the armoury, making a mental note of the way to it. "I know but he knows what we've been facing out there so therefore he's more useful on the books. Figured it'd best to do the two things at once instead of wasting time doing them one at a time" she replied to him honestly, though she did also want to put Dean to some kind of activity to help keep his mind off his mourning just for a little while longer and to get more of a read on the guy.

Reaching the large metal door with a safe style locking mechanism, she waited and watched him turn the wheel with some effort and was glad she didn't go alone to deal with it. Once it was open she saw how cramped it was in comparison to the rest of the bunker, but also saw just how well stocked it was. It honestly impressed her and it showed on her face as she stepped inside, instantly seeing how closely she was pressed to Dean in the process. Dean's pride in the armoury was evident and endearing, making her realise that only hunters could really find such a thing as endearing in someone else. "Impressive collection!" she smiled, looking around.

"It's fine, I'm not uncomfortable." she then replied to him at his considerate comment about not wanting to make her feel uncomfortable being this close to someone else. She glanced at him and saw how awkwardly he was looking down so not to make eye contact with her and she couldn't help but wonder if this was making him uncomfortable. "But if it's making you uncomfortable..?" she said trailing off her words, unsure of how to finish that sentence without either offending the guy or upsetting him.

Being this close to him, she noticed his features properly, how strong his jawline was, how striking his eyes were and damn, did he smell good. The shower and clean up did him justice, making her see how his ex girlfriend really could have fallen in love with him. She hoped one day he would find something or someone to help him move on from his grief and smile once again. She just didn't think for a single instant that it could ever be her. Sweeping some of her hair behind her ear, she looked up at the weaponry around her trying to decide what to take, looking for anything silver deciding that was as good a place to start as anywhere.

"This place is incredible" she commented, "not just this armoury but this whole bunker. It has such an amazing vibe about it" she added, looking over her shoulder at him, shooting him a smile as she did so. "you boys are lucky" she said once more.
Sam nodded at his words until he said Serena was his guardian which just felt like even more overwhelming information. "by all means, go and see to her. If you need anything just ask... I guess I have a bit more talking to Kay to do..." she told him before glsnci g behind her toward the kitchen. Looking back at Bane, she spoke once more, "I won't shut her out, I promise".

Kay remained in the kitchen, regretting ever coming back here to Sam. She felt like she shouldn't ever have done this. She felt like she should have known better than to bring Sam into this world and situation and wondered if keeping her ignorant to it all would have been the better idea.
Sam listened to Bane, there was something about the way he spoke, his tone that seemed to calm her a bit, but for her it was still a lot to come to terms with. Phoenix's, demons, shadow powers, magic? She couldn't wrap her head around any of it being real. She also knew what Bane was saying made sense, Kay had always put others before herself, despite the hard life she had grown up having. "she's always been like that...getting Kay to open up sometimes can be like punching through a brick wall" she remarked.

"I love that girl, I really do. I've tried to protect her all of our childhood, even at school when people found out she was an outpatient, I stood by her. I've done so much to try and make her happy that it's a lot to take in that she's gone through this without me and now she's the one doing the protecting. It's like when I came out to everyone as gay all over again. She's stood by me that whole time too" she replied, letting Bane hold her hand.

"I'm so thankful she's at least had John and that he convinced her to come here. But I'm going to need time to truly process all of this. But I want to thank John personally. How are they both? John and Serena that is" she finished saying.
