Sam yelped when she heard the gunshot go off and John cursing, telling her it was him who got shot. She knew Kay was going to be incredibly scared shitless when she finds out John had been shot. With the mysterious man disappearing with Serena and the shadows removing themselves from Sam, she gasped at seeing John, rushing over and kneeling down to check his leg. "not with your leg like that, let me see to it so you don't bleed out everywhere" she told him. "Kay will kill me if we don't" she added, hoping Kay's name will have some kind of effect on him.

As Bane felt the shock through him, she too felt the steering pain through her bond to John, making her hiss. At his words to call John, she nodded, "no need to tell me twice" she said, pulling her phone out of her pocket and calling John. "please be okay... Please be okay" she muttered to herself.

Kay drove toward the Space Needle, fingers tapping on the steering wheel most of the way as nerves kicked in. She didn't like leaving the others but she trusted Sam to look after the other two. "Right" she replied as they got closer and she found a parking spot that she deemed safe enough a few minutes later. Getting out of the car, she looked around not only looking for any dangers but also around at the familiar area that brought a lot of memories flooding back to her mind.

Sam spun around quickly when she heard her front door burst open, yelping as she watched vines burst through her house and go to take Serena and John, but not before Serena managed to protect her. She lifted her arms up over her face out of instinct, even though the shadows were protecting her, unable to fully see John and Serena get taken. Yet she could hear them and she knew she had failed in keeping them safe. "Kay's gonna kill me" she muttered.

Kay listened to Bane and nodded, "If it's the space needle we need to get to we can use the car. I know where we could park close by and far enough away that won't risk the car's state" she replied, unlocking the car and getting inside. "I just hope we get there in time" she told him once he was in the car.

Sam looked at both John and Serena as they agreed with each other about not liking the fact the other two were going alone. She then looked at John when he directed the next question at her, "I wouldn't know, but I'd trust Kay to have not let anyone followed her" she replied. "I only saw her and Bane arrive in the car at the time" she added.

The moment Serena tried to be stubborn yet again and refuse to stay behind, Kay foiund herself yet again pinching the bridge of her nose as she exhaled in frustration. She was glad that John and Bane both told her no because she herself was not in the mood to fight Serena verbally all over again over this situation.

She looked up at Bane and nodded, "right" she replied. "Go, just come back safe and sound and I'll look after these two" Sam told her before letting them both leave, which they did. Kay lead the way out of the house and toyed with the idea of taking the car, but she also didn't want to risk damaging it as it was a hire.

As much as Kay thought Serena's words for Bane were very valid, she was secretly glad that he was refusing to leave them just yet as she knew she couldn't do what they needed to alone.

"Bane's right, neither of you are in good shape. I will need him. And anyway, I got Fee too so he'll be fine." she spoke up, standing up off the floor feeling stronger than moments ago. "Bane, let's get moving" she told him.

Sam looked between Serena and Bane and nodded, "its okay, it's not scaring me it's just...taking a while to fully comprehend" she told them, half reassuring them and half reassuring her that she wasn't being scared by this whole situation. It was difficult enough to comprehend that she just witnessed her sister emit fire from her hands and have the ability to heal another person.

Kay nodded at what Serena and Bane was saying. "I'm with Bane on this one, you two can't go out like this at the moment. Even I'm feeling pretty wiped after getting rid of those things and healing you both. I just need a few minutes..." she replied.

"in those few minutes, you can all decide how to go about this...right? Those uhh...shadows might be back by then too? Right?" Sam spoke up, still trying to comprehend what it was she was even witnessing and saying.

Kay patted both Bane's and Sam's hands as they came over to her, the pat being her way to tell them both she was okay, just worn out for a moment. She looked up at Serena as she sat up, glad that what she did had helped. "I know we do, and it attacking you and John made it personal." she replied to Serena as Sam chucked Serena some painkillers for her head.

Kay then looked at John as she heard him coming round, sighing with relief. "how you doing John?" she asked him.

Kay shook her head at Bane's apology, none of this in her eyes was his fault. "This isn't your fault Bane. We both should have checked, not just you but our priority was getting them to a safe place" she replied to him, as she saw both John and Serena trying to stay conscious.

She walked over to John and knealed down in front of him, placing her hand on where the attachment was and began trying to heal him again, which she managed to do. She then went to Serena and did the same thing, but after healing Serena's burns she slumped onto the floor on her arse sighing as she felt burned out but okay. "THey should be okay now" she told them, Sam rushing to her sister's side and kneeling down to check on her.

Kay let Serena hold her free hand as she did what she needed to, knowing it would help her. With it done, she nodded at Serena, "No need to thank me" she said to her, shouldering her. "Lets get you both back to the couches" she commented, helping Serena back into the living room and over to the couch.

Sam didn't have as much of an easy time getting John to the couch as he was out cold. "They'll both be fine. Once they're on the couches I can heal the burns which should help in bringing them back round again" Kay explained back to Bane. "Then i'm gonna end all of this, no one goes after these two when i'm around and gets away with it" she said determinedly.
