Chas audibly sighed down the phone as he listened to his mate talk. "John, Kay isn't going to have anything ruined right now. Yeah, she's probably happy she's back with her sister, but she also cares a lot for you and I wouldn't be surprised if she's worried sick about you and where you are right now. I think you need to be talking to her about this when you get a chance. You don't wanna mess up what is growing between you both? Then talk to her about this, I know you're not great with talking about your feelings, but you gotta start from somewhere" he replied.

Sam quietly grabbed condiments and various drinks from soda to alcohol an dput them all on a tray whilst eavesdropping on what John was saying. She knew she'd have to make her presence known, and she ho eatly felt sorry for the guy, so instead she brought everything back to Lara and Kay and looked at Kay. "I think you should go get John" she told her. Kay nodded, standing up knowing the look Sam was giving her all too well, and went to find John. "John? Food is here" she softly spoke when she found him.
Chas couldn't help but smile ever so slightly even though he couldn't be seen doing so. "you won't let her down John, I have full confidence in you. If Josh punches you, he punches you and you take it, but I saw him texting earlier and he said Serena is okay, even if she's under the weather. But he'll be okay." he started replying back, before continuing on, "if she thought you would be a reason for her mentally dipping again, I don't think Kay would have taken the chance with you. Yeah, you're massively flawed John, but you do have a damn heart. You need to try and not put so much pressure on yourself" he replied.

Sam could overhear and see John from where she was, his words making her pause what she was doing to listen to him, a brief glance toward the living room where Kay was before she looked back to John. Kay being in a dark hole mentally was not something she wanted to witness again either, but even she could see how content Kay seemed with John.
"I know mate, but it's a new thing you're gonna have to start adjusting to" Chas replied, hearing him slide down a wall over the phone. "she's really made an impact on you hard ain't she?" he added.

The doorbell rang and Sam instantly stood up and headed to the front door, opening it and smiling when it was the takeout driver. She handed him the money and took the bags of food before closing the door behind her and walking into the living room. She put the bags on the coffee table, "I'll grab the condiments from the kitchen and some drinks, feel free to start pulling out your food from the bags" she told Kay and Lara, as she then went to the kitchen.
Chas listened to John rant, knowing that he clearly needed to get this off his chest, he also knew his mate well enough to know he was a stubborn fool and would blame himself as he was now, no matter what. "John, listen to me. Kay is no damsel in distress. She survived years on the streets between here and the UK before she met you. She's a tough cookie, so is Serena. You and me both know getting shot will stop anyone in their tracks." he said.

"but there is one thing you won't be doing. Putting Kay at risk and holding her back. You two are bonded for a reason, we may not know the full reasons why yet, or how the two of you are mesnt to save phoenix kind, but you two will figure it out, we all will with you both. It won't be easy, your path has never been easy, but neither has hers. Everyone, including you John are allowed to have bad days and yeah, even you won't get a win at times. But that don't mean you go down to pity party for one alright? Kay is there, with you, right now. Don't shut her out" Chas continued before John could speak before he was done talking.
Chas heard his phone ring and picked it up from the table, seeing it was John calling him again and wondered what his mate wanted. Pressing 'answer' he held the phone to his ear, getting up and walking into the hallway, away from his ex wife and Josh. Hearing John talk he sighed and leaned against the wall. "John, they are alive. Neither died, you didn't fail them alright? You got shot for christ's sake. There was nothing you could have done with that. But you're all safe now" he told him.

"You need to keep reminding yourself that Kay handled it like a damn champion. She wouldn't want you beating yourself up over this, you know that?" he added.

Hearing the 'i'm a growing boy' line again tonight made Lexi roll her eyes but she couldn't remove the smirk off of her face. He really did have an infectous personality when he managed to come out of himself and his grieving, something that Lexi welcomed greatly. She chuckled as he mocked her whilst grabbing the remote to turn the tv on and get the movie playing, before she felt his shoulder against hers as they sat side by side.

She nodded at his first lot of words before she found herself looking down at him grabbing the chocolate and holding it to her as he flirted with her lightly with the rest of what he had to say. Taking the chocolate from his palm, her fingers grazed across his palm in the process before she lifted her hand and put the chocolate in her mouth again, "I guess we'll find out by the time the film finishes won't we?" she teased back at him.

His smile really was something that got her stomach doing backflips as it fluttered and she hadn't gotten that since she first met her dearly departed fiance. It was a smile that made it very difficult for her to not smile back at him and feel at ease around him. As the film truly began, she found herself easily relaxed beside him as she got engrossed in the film, watching it with intrigue as she snacked as well. She was taken in completely by the story, which showed in her eyes.

The film was getting near the end when at some point Lexi had fallen asleep beside him, one arm draped across her chest, the other down on his mattress. Her head had drooped partially on his shoulder and her legs had drooped sideways toward his legs. She fully intended to stay awake for the climatic end of the film, but it seemed that her tiredness and exhaustion from the hunt had won out and taken over her. Her breathing slow and steady as she slept soundly beside him, a sleep that she rarely had, even after all this time.

Mika was aware of him watching the film with this Lexi and seeing Dean so happy and relaxed made her happy. This woman was having an impact on Dean and she was thankful for that. If she was alive, she knew she would probably be jealous but in this instance, she was glad that Lexi came into his life. She wanted him happy...
MIKA CHAMBERS

Once let inside, Mika walked through the house, making mental notes of the place just incase anything was out of the ordinary, but honestly the house looked amazing to her. A typical surburbian house in her eyes, a house she was actually envious of in some ways as she had always dreamed of having a nice big house like this with Dean, but unfortunately the hunter lifestyle never allowed them to have it.

With Dean heading to the kitchen, she walked into the living room with the widow and began talking with her about what happened and when. She wanted to hear the timeline of events from the woman herself rather than relying on what the news said. It somehow didn't entirely surprise her that the wife described her husband as someone everyone who knew him, loved him. It was a description that was always said so she was actually expecting it. She also found herself at one point getting the woman to open up by expressing how she knew what she was going through, that she too knew of the grief she was experiencing. With that said, it seemed to make the widow trust her and open up.

"And there's no one you can think of who would have a grudge against him?" Mika asked, only to get a shake of the head after a bit of thinking. "No, like I said, everyone loved him who knew him. The only people he's interacted with lately is his work colleagues and our babysitter Tracy Davis" the widow explained, and the name she dropped seemed to hit in Mika'a memory to her for some reason. She would have to make note until later.

She wrote the name down as if she was legitamately an FBI agent when Dean came in and stood beside her. Sensing he was done doing what he needed to, she looked at the widow, "well thank you for the information, please, if you think of anything else don't hesitate to call me on this number-" she said as she pulled out a business card and handed it to the woman. "we'll be in touch with any updates ourselves. Thank you for your time" she told her.

The widow showed them both out with her own thanks to them before closing the door behind them. Outside Mika sighed and tucked some hair behind her ear as she exhaled. "that woman is seriously grief stricken...poor woman." she commented as they headed to Dean's car again. "The name Tracy Davis ring a bell to you with this case?" she then asked eventually.

SAM AND NATALIA WINCHESTER

The way the boys had been sizing up Annabeth wasn't entirely sitting well with Sam and even Natalia was getting a tad protective over Annabeth, wanting to play a older sister role and wipe those gawking looks off the boys' faces and tell them to divert their eyes unless they wanna have it slapped off their faces. A role that Natalia never thought in a million years she would ever feel. She was usually content with being the baby annoying sister to Sam and Dean, now here she was wanting to protect Annabeth which she could only think was a consequence of not being able to help Sam help save Annabeth from the Angel.

"lets hope we don't" Sam mumbled in reply to Anna's comment about going to talk to the boys if they felt they needed even more information. As they walked down to the art room, he listened to what she muttered to him again and nodded at her words even though he didn't particularly like the plan. "I can handle my professionalism, you'd be surprised at what I've have to remain professional through when it's just been me and Dean, or me and Nat" he muttered to her.

"he ain't wrong, he wanted to punch a guy one time with how letchy he was being with me" Nat said quietly back as they reached the art room and walked inside, where Sam then took the lead this time. "Excuse me, is this where we can Tracy Davis?" he asked as he saw a teacher in the room, doing some cleaning up. "Yeah but you just missed her, class clocked out early. But how can I help you?" the tall man replied, with hair nearly as long as Sam's.

Nat and Sam pulled out their ID's, showing them, "we're here about the death of her friend. We're following up on the reports to see if there's anything else we can find" Natalia spoke. "I'm not sure what you'll get out of her. She can be a....troublesome student at times. She almost clawed my eyes out when I told her her work was inappropriate and disturbing" the man named Don explained. "Really?" Sam replied curiously, which made Don show them the girl's work.

THe work was indeed disturbing and Natalia looked at Annabeth and gestured for her to take photos discreetly, whilst she and Sam spoke with the teacher. "Seems a bit of a overreaction to some critique that is justified" Natalia replied, whilst Sam remained silent for now. "Is she usually of this kind of mindset?" Sam asked, "she wasn't, but she has changed mood wise lately, I don't know if anything different has happened in her life. I know she babysits for the man and wife whose husband died recently. Maybe that has something to do with it" Don explained.
Kay continued chatting with Sam and Lara as they waited for the food to turn up, but Kay's mind kept drifting to John and wondered how he was doing. She may not have not known him long, and she was sure this was probably like him to do, but it also felt unlike him to just exit away from people for a while. Her eyes glancing toward the living room doorway every now and then, wondering how he was doing and when he'd come back in. "He'll be fine Kay, you've never been like this around someone before. He really must be special to you" Sam commented.

"I know... and he is special to me. You know me Sam, I always had the mindset of love being for children but I really do love him already. He's sparked new life in me" Kay replied honestly, which made both girls smile at her.
Lara nodded in understanding at his further explanation, finding it more than reasonable, even if John's hurt leg didn't quite make sense to her but she wasn't going to pry in the slightest. It was none of her business after all. "Sure thing, feel free to look round the house" she said to him, seeing no problem with him stretching his legs.

Kay hoped he was alright, but decided not to come across as a paranoid over protective clingy girlfriend. She wasn't the kind of person but she also was worried about him. Instead of going with him, she decided she would stay on the couch with the couple, deciding to give him some space.
