"it's as good a guess as any" Kay replied to Trish. "but yes, I think now he can start to proper recover" she added, letting the tension she was holding in her shoulders to leave as she slouched for a moment to relax herself. "I just hope the rest of the group are getting answers they need" she said as an out loud thought. She then looked at the book again and down at the pendant hanging from her neck, grabbing the book and placing it on her lap yet again. "I wonder...." she whispered to herself.

"I know someone who might be able to help" Chas spoke, "Well, I say me, more like its a contact of John's. He specialises in black arts items on the side of his antiques business. I guess we could start from there?" he suggested. "it's just in town down one of the alleys. He helped us find Geraldine once" he added.
Kay was just hoping to relieve John of his headache, so when his head tilted to one side and he fell asleep, Trish wasn't the only one who was surprised. "I... I actually don't know. I just wanted to relieve him of his headache. Heal his pain" she told the girl honestly. "truth is Trish, I'm still learning about what I'm capable of. I had only learned what I was days before we met you and your brother. This is as new and surprising to me as it is for you" she added, looking st her hands, trying to fathom everything out in her head. "I just don't want him to hurt..." she said quietly.

Chas and Josh nodded, "I guess that's our next stop? If we csnt try and track the hidden person with it?" Josh replied.
Kay looked back at the book and nodded, "yeah our tears can heal but I can hardly just make myself cry at the drop of a hat" she replied to Trish. She looked back down at John to keep an eye on him, wondering if she could begin his healing the same way she did previously. Lofting her hand up and placing it on the side of his head, she closed her eyes and focused, still not one hundred percent sure how she even did it before, but just kept thinking about how she wished to heal John. Eventually a warm and soothing glow came from her hand, travelled to John and went straight to the source of his head pain.

Chas walked over at a quickened pace and took the coin from Serena's grip so he could get a proper look at it. "can't say it fully does, but something tells me it could have been dropped by this other mysterious person. It's old....real old and not something just anyone would have around." he said back.
After a while, Kay did reply to Trish, "nothing so far...there's all kinds of interesting things that not even I knew about my kind, but nothing to help us right now" she said as she continued to read about how it's said her kind have control over Holy and hell fire, have the ability to incinerate a person with just a touch among other things. She even tried to think back about anything her mother could have said to her but nothing came to her mind "it's useless... There's nothing" she sighed aggravated.

Josh nodded then glanced to his left, then did a double take before walking over and crouching down at the side of the road and picking something up from in the grass verge. It was a tiny circular charm, almost like an old foreign coin but with a hole in the top. "hey guys... What about this?!" he called out, looking behind him as he stood up.
With Trish gone, Kay focused on John and looked through the bottles of tablets, finding a different kind of pain relief for headaches. Taking her hand off his head she opened the bottle and handed him two tablets, "try these" she said to him after making sure they wouldn't clash with the earlier meds she gave him. When Trish came back, she took the book from her, "thank you Trish" she told her, opening the book where she began to flick through it to find any kind of information that could be of use.

Chas stepped back just enough to let Serena squat down and he wasn't expecting the sigil to reappear when Serena touched the ground. Pulling his phone out he quickly snapped a couple of pics to make sure that at least one would be good enough. "definitely has the flair of John's magic" he agreed. "I get the feeling their kid is going to be one hell of a force to be re koned with. Which I can also think will bring more dangers. The idea of a phoenix and mage hybrid blows my mind" he commented.
Initially Kay wondered who Trish was going on about then it dawned on her, she probably was meaning Fee. "I guess I could see if Fee would know something" she replied, looking over at John seeing him hold his head. She stretched her hand out and used her thumb to stroke his temple, "head hurting?" she asked him. She then got an idea, "Trish, downstairs there's a book on my kind. A book on phoenix's. Can you get it for me? There may be something in there that could give me a way of helping John" she told the kid.

Both men watched Serena work with curiosity and admiration for her capabilities. They were impressed by her skills and it was clear on both of their faces. By the time she looked up and asked them the next question, Josh stepped up to where abouts Chas stood, whilst Chas walked forward to get his spacing correct, "so...the hooded kid came portalling in about... Here" Chas spoke, then he stepped forward around six or seven steps, "and she sent them packing to Hell about here" he continued saying as he stood in the spot.
Kay couldn't help but think the kid had a point, it would take time for the meds that she made John take kick in. Yet the suggestion of using her powers to make John get to sleep was something she didn't think she could do. She looked between Trish and John, "don't think that's even in my ability kiddo. Healing, coming back from the dead I can do, but making someone sleep? Don't think that's in a phoenix's ability. I don't have magic like John or Serena." she explained to Trish. "but I do think sleep would do you some good John" she added, looking at him.

Both Josh and Chas shook their heads when Serena asked if they saw anything. "no, no o e. But we're a bit pre-occupied with at the time the unknown future kid of John and Kay's and keeping John alive in the bsck of the cab" Josh replied to her. "can you tell what spell it was they were trying to do?" Chas asked her.

(sorry for delay, I had my booster jab and it knocked me for six yesterday)
Kay sighed, she wish she knew what else to do for him. "I'm wondering if I should get an actual doctor to come over" she thought out loud. Deep down she wanted to just heal him herself but she wasn't in the mood for a possible debate about that option.

Chas and Josh looked at each other with a look of curiosity and confusion that matched perfectly before they then turned their heads in unison, and looked at Serena. "what do you mean, what happened there? We don't recall anything" Josh asked.
Kay didn't like what he was saying in the slightest, but she didn't know what else to do in this moment. "I don't know what to do.." she told him honestly. "should I call Serena to get advice?" she wondered out loud.

Josh and Chas took in what she was saying to them both, neither remembering seeing so many there but then it did feel like a bit of blur once the future Constantine came barrelling in and saving the day. "waiting for either you or Kay to come for him?" Chas theorised in question.
Kay frowned at how John was being, but she couldn't be sure if it was down to the medication taking effect or not. "John talk to me" she asked, concerned about him. "I need to know if this just the meds or not" she clarified, doing her best to stay calm for the sake of not worrying Trish.

Both Chas and Josh soon followed her out of the cab and walked over, but stayed behind Serena so neither were in the way of what she needed to do. Yet they were close enough that they could hear her talking and what was being said. Chas sighed and scoffed at her words, somewhat not entirely surprised to hear what his best mate's actions were. "stupid bastard..." he muttered, "but that's John..." he added. "what else do you get from this?" Josh spoke up.
