Everyone has something that they're passionate (or geeky) about, honestly. Whether it's video games or books or shoes and make-up. Now people who are like "omg I was on facebook for three hours straight last night I'm such a nerd lol" are annoying but don't judge someone if they call themselves a nerd but don't look the part. Most people who are labeled as "fake geeks" are the ones who are new to something and really want to learn about it, and it's terms like this that drive them away. Everyone expects them to be experts at everything right off the bat, and if they slip up, they're suddenly fake. In terms of actual sexism in nerdery, I haven't come across any in my community. If anything, it kind of feels the opposite. I'm the only female in my computer engineering class and some profs will correct themselves because I am there. Like, "okay guys-no wait guys and girls". It's really awkward and I wish they wouldn't do it.

Well in the case of annoying facebook statuses that's a given, there are plenty of non-nerd related posts that are equally if not more annoying, but in the case of taking pictures holding an xbox controller with a mario t-shirt on with those big dumb glasses, captioning 'Geek' is irritating, wether its a boy or a girl doing it.

I'm not saying they cant pretend to like games, but I still have every right to complain about it, as they have the right to complain about shit that I do.

What is Dashball?

Dashball is a future national sport that combines elements of basketball, soccer and even quidditch. Skill and strategy is everything it pits two teams of 7 in a modified gravity enviroment with special jet booster equipment that allows them to 'dash' for control of the ball. The sport is immensely popular and entertainment is dominated by its fans.

Dashball World

The World of Dashball exists in one very similar to our own. Its the year 2058, but the RP will be set on an island called Kingdom Bay which is visited by many athletes from around the world and is home to the Global Dashball League (GDL). Kingdom Bay is a large island reigon made up of 8 districts, one for each point of the compass.

Dashball Leagues and Tournaments

There are different types of sanctioned Dashball competetions. There are the Local circuits which largely are not recognised by the comission. Local hometown tournaments and festivals fall into these categories. Then there are the sponsored Indy circuits which are where most Semi Pro Dashball teams are discovered and recruited into a bigger teams. Then there are the Reigonal Tournaments which are very frequent and where most pros compete. Finally the National Championships are where the best of the best countries compete. Rumor has it that Kingdom Bay holds its own secret league on top of its own regionals. But its still just a rumor....

Dashball Basics

Dashball is a ball game where the objective is to, Kick or Spike the Dashball into the ScoreZone which is a circular like 'gate' area defended by the keeper player. There are 7 players in full game and 4 in a casual match. One of these players will be the keeper of the Score zone. As well as the Dashball there are BattleBalls which are heavy and ricochet very fast off the boundaries of the Dashball field. Your team players can kick, punch, headbutt or spike the battle balls to attack the enemy team but you cant physically attack them directly.

You can handle the ball however you like (hold, throw, kick,) but its illegal to use your 'dash' (burst of speed from your jetpack) while holding the ball. And when you are moving with possession of the ball, you will auto enter a 'orbit dribble' where the ball will enter in its own gravity field around the players body the speed, pattern and direction of the orbit dribble is based on the agility and reflexes of the player in question.

Yeah I would say they have too many superhuman advantages, that doesnt mean cyborgs are out of the question but they would need to be seriously nerfed to fit in.

(Description from the Superpower Wiki, I'll write a more appropriate one if this is OP) - Peak-humans are superior over normal members of humanity. They're strong enough to punch an individual through a wooden/thin metal door, break thin steel bars with their bare hands, fast enough to catch-up or outrun moving vehicles, they can exert themselves to peak capacity; therefore, eliminating build-up fatigue chemicals, producing top-endurance and lung capacity; agile enough to climb the tallest of buildings, leap to high feats into the air and distant yards; durable enough to withstand normal physical/projectile attacks and flexible enough to co-ordinate their limbs perfectly. - All of Daniel's teeth are serrated in a similar fashion to a shark and much tougher than normal teeth allowing him to use them in order to deliver powerful bites. Furthermore Daniel possesses retractable 3'' bone talons in place of fingernails which are both incredible sharp and harder than normal bones which can be used offensively to lethal effect. When these natural weapons are combined with peak human strength he is able to cut/bite through flesh and the vast majority of natural materials (this varies depending on the thickness and hardness of the material and the force he is able to exert). - Similar to a snake, Daniel's jaw is incredibly flexible allowing him to open his mouth much wider than normal enabling him to bite into large objects, at its limit his jaw can open wide enough to accommodate something the width of a human head. (Warning, I know shit all about weapons) - Lightweight yet powerful, the bastard sword is a variation of the longsword which is balanced so that it is able to be used effectively as both a one handed and two handed weapon. - A handgun able to fire a single shot every time the trigger is pulled. While it is not nearly as powerful as the vast majority of guns, it's small size and fast reloading make up for it. It carries 20 9mm rounds per magazine. (Another question, what kind of arena will we fight in. Will it vary or be the same? Open or with obstacles? This is going to affect if I change my weapon choice but for now I've gone for adaptable)
