"Eh... It's fine T'charrl, I don't eat a lot of them anyways," Roshi said, waving a hand dismissively. Knowing the appetite of Saiyans he had more directed that at Shu and Takeshi. Were it made of edible material the hermit was certain his house would be eaten before long. Heck, a little bit of sauce and those two might just try it! Settling down in his chair he began to pour himself a glass of tea, jumping slightly and nearly spilling it when he was startled by Shu. Watching the boy circle around him Roshi frowned, not quite sure what he was going on about. "Caged up, eh...? That doesn't sound fun at all. Looks like you got away though." There was obviously a lot that he was missing, and something told him that it wasn't a subject he should be asking about. Nothing good could come out of being caged, he probably didn't need nor want to know the details anyways. Sipping at his beverage the hermit reclined in his seat, looking at Shu thoughtfully through his glasses. "Angry? I'm not angry with you kids, I was just surprised, didn't expect to be training anyone today," he remarked, pausing to raise his arms in a good stretch. "If you need training then you kids came to the right place though. I taught you once and I can do it again, that's for sure. Now, I'm sure you remember how my payments work," Roshi added, his glasses gleaming as he spoke, "Riiiiight?"

Facepalming Takeshi narrowed his eyes at Roshi, giving him a nasty stare to make him come off it. No way in heck were they going to get him a lady friend again, not in a million years. Besides, they didn't have time to be playing matchmaker right now, ever minute counted. Knowing the way the hermit operated though he moved over to the chair, leaning down and putting an arm around Roshi's shoulders before whispering, "Hey... Teach them now and I'll get you some new workout videos, how's that sound?" Now that looked like it did the trick, the old man was beaming within seconds. Deciding to egg it on he kept going, "I'll find some with some really pretty, young girls doing the instructing, how's that? All you need to do is teach these two how to channel and release their Ki." That worked better than expected, the old man was out of his seat and over at the beach in a heartbeat, stretching in preparation for the training. Smiling smugly Takeshi looked down at Shu, giving his head a small ruffling before pushing him towards the others gently. "Go on, he'll teach you. I'll be over here if you guys need help or anything." Training was fun, but this was a little too simplistic, he wouldn't get much out of it really.

"He he, alright boys, let's get to training!" Roshi said, rather energetic all of a sudden. With a big toothy grin he looked between Shu and T'charrl, wondering who might have more control over their Ki. Shu had learned but forgotten apparently, and the alien had no idea he would guess. Takeshi did say they just had to channel their energy, which hopefully meant they knew where it was and how to reach it by now. Right then, they were going to start with the very basics, channeling it. Coughing into a closed fist the hermit walked back and forth for a moment, studying each of his prospective students. Now how to best go about channeling? Well, perhaps they could work on both that and releasing Ki in one fell swoop. And he thought he had the perfect idea how. "Takeshi, two coconuts please!" he shouted, turning and holding out his hands as he caught the fruits. Smiling knowingly Roshi walked over to the two young warriors, handing them each a coconut. "We're going to mix things up a bit, got that? Instead of learning to fire off random blasts or shooting off like a rocket I want to make sure you can control Ki properly. And so, your first lesson..." he paused, pointing at the two coconuts, "Is to fill those with Ki without blowing them apart!"

That should be a good test of their control, it didn't take a ton of energy to rupture a coconut from the inside. A little explanation would probably be needed however, he couldn't well expect these two to go into this lesson blind. "To do this exercise you're going to need to both release and control your Ki at the same time! Since you two already know how to find your energy channeling it should be easy. Starting from your core you want to move it out. Imagine it like water, make it flow to other parts of your body and back. In this case, you're going to want to bring it to the palms of your hands and then release it. Assuming you know how to feel your own energy it should be easy to tell how much is inside, and how close the coconut is to bursting! Until you two manage to do this I'm not going to show you any other things, understood?"
He didn't know why in the world he was agreeing to this, but Roshi had told the boys yes. Maybe he just felt inclined to help them, like he was the only way they could learn. No, that wasn't right. Watching as the two brothers and their friend filed back outside the old hermit smiled slightly, using his cane to reach back and shut off the television. Well darn it all, he was actually happy to see the kids again. It had been much too long since he'd really had visitors, aside from the usual, so it was nice to get some company. Plus he had been a little shabby as of late with his own training, so this was an excuse to go out and actually do something. Chuckling under his breath Roshi shuffled over into the kitchen, digging through it and grabbing a pitcher of iced tea and a few glasses, carefully juggling them as he headed for the door. Remembering rightly it took Shu a bit to get down any kind of Ki mastery, and that had been two years ago. If they were back for the same thing then he'd likely forgotten most of it, or as he put it was "really bad at everything." Hopefully with a few lessons they could get down basic control and they could be off, to wherever it was they'd be traveling next.

That had been relatively easy, convincing Roshi. They could have done without the hitting though, why did everyone always have to hit him? Pouting slightly as he nursed his head Takeshi watched Shu move about eagerly, quite clearly excited. "Hah... Of course he is. Master Roshi said he'd train us and he will." Lecherous though he may be the older boy was positive that the hermit was not a liar. If he agreed to do something then he would do it, no doubt about that. Perhaps a little reluctantly, but they would still get their training. Hearing T'charrl the Saiyan looked over to see what he was talking about, blinking at the coconut his friend was holding. Hurrying over Takeshi snatched it out of his friend's hands, chuckling softly as he nodded his head. "Uh, yeah, but not like this! It's awfully hard if you try eating like this, plus the rind tastes pretty nasty, Here, I'll show you how to eat them." Holding the coconut between both hands he brought it down on his knee, easily splitting it in two. Holding it at an angle to show T'charrl he then drank up the liquid inside, sighing happily at the refreshing taste, "You can drink what's inside of them, and then see this white, flaky stuff?" he asked, gesturing to the innards of the fruit, "You eat that. It's really good, try some."

"You kids eating all my coconuts...?" Roshi called, huffing as he walked across the sand in his flip-flops. "Those things take a while to grow, you know. Don't eat them all, otherwise I don't got any to make my Pina Coladas with!" Getting a blank look from the kids the hermit rolled his eyes, setting down his mug and glasses on the small table just beneath one of the coconut trees. "Never mind. As soon as you're done with your pre-training snacks we'll start." He would be instructing them, but no one had said much about him training as well. Now that he was out here the urge to fire off some Kamehamehas had quickly diminished, that folding chair looked awfully inviting, as did the ice tea. Smiling Roshi settled himself into the seat, pouring himself a glass of the tea and sipping at it lazily. "I'll just tell you boys what to do, how's that? I don't want to show you up or anything, eh he he he..."
Perhaps Takeshi had gotten a little... Overzealous calling Roshi esteemed. He'd given the hermit the benefit of the doubt they'd actually find him doing something fruitful, not drooling over some lady on the television. Cringing slightly when the old man toppled over he sighed, rubbing at his own head exasperatedly. Of course they were alive, wasn't that evident enough by their standing right in front of him? Unless they looked like ghosts, he wasn't sure, it had been a while since he bothered checking himself in a mirror. Looking back at Shu and T'charrl as they entered he waited almost for the hermit to freak out, expecting it at seeing the Kaesstrian. The old guy was pretty good about it, or he was just hiding it, either way there was no spastic response to seeing their friend. Hearing Roshi agree to train them once more Takeshi smiled, nodding his head gratefully. It wasn't that he didn't want to teach his brother and friend, but it made more sense to have someone who knew better do it. Roshi had trained tons of people, like Goku for instance, so who better to go to than him?

Roshi was pretty baffled by the sudden intrusion, he hadn't expected visitors, let alone these three. Shu and Takeshi he remembered sure, but it had been nearly two years since he had seen them. Now they had some alien with them as well, a really big one at that. Blinking at T'charrl from behind his glasses the hermit nodded his head, "You ain't kidding Shu... He's pretty big..." he mumbled. "But if he's smart and willing to learn then I don't care, I'd be happy to teach him. Though... Not right this instant."

"What...? Why not! You weren't exactly busy," Takeshi complained, scrutinizing Roshi. "We're only back for a week after all, we don't have time to wait around."

Roshi looked up at Takeshi sternly, a slight glare on his shades from the sun. Grabbing his walking stick he lifted it and smacked the boy on the head, sniffing indignantly. "Well I was busy, thank you very much. I was getting in my daily exercises before you boys came barging in! You didn't even give me a notice before hand, otherwise I'd have been ready." He shouldn't be so grumpy though, he was happy to see they were well and fine. Sighing softly the old man gave his beard a stroke, looking up at T'charrl curiously for a moment. This was definitely a new one, not even Goku had ever brought around someone like this. He was awfully curious about him, T'charrl according to Shu, he could sense Ki from the alien. Strange, another race that shared their same energy.

"If you're in a hurry then fine, I'll train you. But I don't know how much I can give you boys, I'd think you're well beyond anything I can offer." Humility was certainly one of Roshi's strong suits, he wasn't above admitting when he was outdone. These boys had been beyond him even in their first meeting, they just needed a little push in the right direction. Whatever they were here for now he couldn't fathom.

Takeshi smiled gratefully, nodding his head in appreciation to Roshi. "Thanks, Master Roshi. And we just need a little Ki training for these two, that's all," he explained, pointing to Shu and T'charrl. "Flight and using Ki attacks, shouldn't be too hard right?"

"Eh...? Ki training? Didn't we do that...?" Roshi mumbled, cocking his head to the side. Yes, he was certain he'd taught these two, along with that girl Yumi. Giving Takeshi a funny look he sighed, shrugging his shoulders. Ah well, they must have forgotten, silly kids. "Alright, alright. You three get outside, I'll be there in a minute to start the lessons. I hope you're ready to train!"
"Eh... Fair enough buddy. You can definitely keep riding it!" Going as far as calling a cloud your friend though... Shu certainly did make friends with everything. Good for the little guy, it meant he'd never get lonely if he could get on well with something like a cloud... Or leaf. Must be nice making friends so easily. Smiling slightly amused Takeshi looked on ahead, spotting the Kame House just off in the distance, barely peaking over the horizon. They ought to be landing in a matter of moments now and then, if they were lucky, they could get right to training. Hopefully the old man wasn't busy with anything, maybe they ought to have called ahead. Nah, the hermit wasn't likely doing anything important knowing him, they'd most likely interrupt one of his weird work out sessions. Takeshi never did get why he was so fascinated with those work out tapes, it seemed like their training was much more efficient than some silly aerobics session.

Kame House was quickly coming into view, and good thing for it too. T'charrl didn't look like he was having at all a good time flying over the water, nor did he sound like it. "We're nearly there T'charrl, then you don't have to worry about going for a swim." A little macabre humor considering the guy might drown, Takeshi immediately gave an apologetic smile as he flushed at the realization. Gesturing for the others to follow he landed down on the white sandy beaches soundlessly, kicking up a bit of dust as he did so. It was weird being back here after so long, it felt like they had only been here just the other day. Almost two years... And it hadn't changed a bit. Already from where they stood on the shores he could hear a woman's voice, and it sounded pre-recorded and grainy. Narrowing his eyes Takeshi sighed, his eyebrow twitching slightly as he walked towards the door. "Ready to meet your esteemed teacher, T'charrl...?" he asked, looking back with a strained smile. Sighing softly he opened the door, stepping inside and moving to let the others in. Of course... There was the hermit, busy as ever.

"Haha, yeah! Swing those hips!" Roshi chimed, chuckling as he moved with the video. "One and two and one and two..." Ah, he loved this video, it was one of his favorites. That purple leotard looked really nice on the lady. Melinda, was it? Ah he couldn't even remember anymore, but who cares? She was pretty and he was having fun, that's all that mattered to him. Giving his arms a good stretch the old man exhaled, getting ready to lean back. "Alright... One... Two... Three!" Putting his hands on his hips the hermit leaned backwards, arching as he nearly completely inverted himself. While going down he could have sworn he saw someone, and as he stopped he focused his sight on the three at the door, having to squint slightly to make them out. Noticing who it was his eyes widened in shock and he stumbled, falling back onto his coffee table before rolling onto the ground with a yelp. Quickly gathering himself up Roshi shot to his feet, staring at the trio amazed, namely the two brothers. "You... You're alive?!" he said loudly, sounding rather excited and confused.

"And you're perverted, what else is new?" Takeshi retorted, smirking as his former master flushed a bit. Getting a little laugh out of that he nodded his head, folding his arms across his chest, "Yeah we're alive, and we're back for more training. If you're willing to teach us."

Roshi was pretty beside himself, not quite believing these kids had come back at last. It had been over a year and a half since he had last seen them, and when he had heard they had been captured he'd feared the worst. These two were very much alive though, no halo floating over their heads. And what's more they seem to be considerably stronger than before, he could just feel both Shu and Takeshi's strength permeating from them. Not to mention least of all this new companion of theirs, someone he had definitely not seen before. Taking a moment to gather his thoughts the hermit nodded his head, grabbing his remote and pausing the video. "Ah... Yes, I suppose. Come in kids, come in."
T'charrl was going to be just fine, and so was Shu, Takeshi was sure of it. They were nice and safe on Earth and were going to have Roshi instructing them, they were perfectly set up for success. Hopefully a week was enough time for them to get the training down, that was the only obstacle in their way. What the old perv couldn't teach them though the Saiyan hoped he'd be able to fill in. Really just controlling it all was the hardest bit, it was almost too easy to release energy. Well, Takeshi supposed not letting too much go at once was a bit tricky too. Shu was plenty aware of what happened when you went overboard with your energy, you shot off like a rocket and more often than not came crashing down. Thinking then of his own mistakes Takeshi cringed inwardly, looking down at the ground with a rueful smirk. He'd had his fair share of face plants when learning, and he hadn't exactly had the most patient of tutors. These guys were lucky in that regard.

They were moving pretty fast, and in no time they were at last out over the open water and making earnest progress towards Roshi's island. Takeshi glanced back over his shoulder, having since flipped right side up to see how T'charrl was faring. Thankfully at the rate they were traveling it would be a relatively short flight, there ought not to be any risk of the Kaesstrian taking an impromptu dip then. Shu looked to be thoroughly enjoying himself on Nimbus, which was good. Considering they were heading to Kame House for flight training though it raised a question in the older boy's mind that he just had to ask. "Hey Shu? When you learn to fly what are you going to do with Nimbus...?" Takeshi called back, smiling a bit. "I mean you won't need it, none of us will. I wonder where it even goes when it's not being used..." Did it just float around in the sky like other clouds? Or was it always at the Kame House? Looking up at the sky Takeshi furrowed his brow a bit, trying to imagine Nimbus idling around up in the sky. Meh, stupid magical clouds, they didn't make any sense.
Poor T'charrl, he was having a really rough time of things. Even if everyone else said he was doing well he didn't think so, apparently too worried about himself to hear everyone's assurances. He was kind of like Viral in that regard, only much, much less upset. Hopefully training would change all of that for their friend. Once he got the hang of his own powers and could gauge his strength then hopefully he'd not worry so much about it getting out of hand. With Shu flying along on his little magic cloud Takeshi was pretty free to fly as he pleased and quickly flipped over, watching the clouds race by as they soared over the land. A thought occurred to him then, and he lifted his head to see if Shu and T'charrl might want to play once they got down flying. Again the Kaesstrian hardly sounded sure of himself, poor guy. "Flying uses a really small bit of your Ki honestly, you could probably fly all day and be totally fine to fight even." As far as uses of Ki went the only less taxing exercise was sensing energy, that took so little Ki that the amount was basically zero. "And the better you get with control the less and less it takes. Not trying to brag, but I don't even feel like I'm using any at all right now."

This was real nice, getting to fly around casually again. Takeshi had forgotten what a joy it could be to do this, just soaring over trees and hills for the sake of doing it. After exchanging a few words with T'charrl he went back to watching the clouds, just sort of watching them all melt together idly. It wasn't anything spectacular really but it made him realize how much he'd actually missed Earth. Shame they were leaving so soon, a week hardly seemed like enough time for them to do anything really. Soon as they were done beating their father they would come right back home, no question about it. Once they did it was finally time to just enjoy themselves, friends and family alike. Heck, they might finally get enough time at last to look for their mothers, seeing as they'd gotten side tracked slightly for a year and all.
That business with the general was well beyond Takeshi's understanding. He knew the easy stuff when it came to Ki, not how it actually changed people and all that. He was pretty sure he'd read it in Gohan's book at one point but had been utterly incapable of understanding a word of it, and the same would likely hold true still. "You're holding up a heck of a lot better than that guy, guess you're loads stronger than he ever was," Takeshi mused, smiling as he walked down the field a bit. Now off to Roshi's, he could hardly believe he was excited to see the lecherous old man. Albeit in that guys defense he'd never really done them any wrong, he just happened to like women, a lot. Chuckling as he considered taking Yumi along for the ride he glanced over his shoulder at T'charrl, quirking an eyebrow. "Huh...? Sure thing, we won't let you fall in, I promise." Guess the guy wasn't much of a swimmer. Perhaps they could teach their friend to swim too while they were here, if they had enough time. It wasn't all that difficult really, once you could tread water swimming fell into place rather easily.

"Exactly, now let's get going guys!" It was nice that they were eager to train, it meant a lot less effort would go into getting them pepped for it. Nothing they were bound to do at the Kame House was going to be all that intensive, it wasn't exactly the place to be flinging Ki blasts and fighting at their peaks in any regard. Once they got the basics down and had said their goodbyes though Takeshi planned on taking his brother and friend out to the canyons, the same place he and Shu had first tried flying. Only this time Shu wouldn't be doing a face plant at mach one and T'charrl would be along for the ride. Really the idea of training in any regard thrilled him, it had been ages since they did it and could do so luxuriously. For him it was as good as playing games or goofing off, better even since it had some benefit. Turning over so that he flew facing the sky Takeshi looked back at his brother and T'charrl, grinning widely and giving them a small wave. "Hey, just think! Once you two get flying down we can play all sorts games in the air too! Like tag, or catch or something!" A game of tag played while flying over the landscape sounded extremely fun, they had literally the entire planet as their playing field.
"He... Injected himself with power? Weird..." Could you even do that? Apparently so, but Takeshi had no clue how. Ki wasn't really a thing, and it certainly couldn't be bottled. Yet if T'charrl had that same energy in him now it was awfully similar. Yet another thing to ask Vegeta about, if he remembered to that was. In any case T'charrl didn't sound very thrilled with it at all, definitely upset over the whole thing that had been done to him. Really who could blame him, his entire being had changed because of the energy he'd absorbed. It was one thing for them to change, they reverted back every time, including Shu. For over a week now T'charrl had been like this however and would be stuck the same way indefinitely, until they figured out a solution at least. Sharing in his brother's sympathy Takeshi nodded his head, smiling a bit, "Things are going to be fine. We'll figure things out in no time and you'll be back to your old self before you know it." With all the brilliant people around now surely they'd have some kind of solution, and if not they could always try some unorthodox things. After all, if the energy had changed him then maybe taking it away would change him back, yeah? Or that could kill him, that would be bad.

With Nimbus newly arrived, and Shu doting over the little puff, they were prepared to get going. Odd the little guy was being so affectionate over some cloud, but hey, to each their own. "Only Shu uses it, since it's his. A lot of other people use planes and stuff," Takeshi explained. T'charrl would learn soon enough what those were, especially if they ended up going into town. Man, there was still the matter of remodeling the house to deal with, meaning they couldn't spend all their time here out at Roshi's. Then again if they were leaving Earth so soon should they even bother with remodeling just yet? Nah, now that he thought about it the whole process seemed pretty silly to undertake just yet. Right, then they were going to focus on training! "Roshi lives out on an island, over in that direction," Takeshi pointed yet again, "It's not that far off really, we can be there in twenty minutes tops!" And the old man would be ready to train them, hopefully. Provided he didn't have his head buried in some magazine, or the sand, they should be good to start right when they arrived. Rising up into the air the Saiyan chuckled excitedly, turning to wave at the others before darting off, yelling back at them, "Come along guys!"
Takeshi grinned sheepishly at the compliment, chuckling and rubbing at his nose. "Well... It was no big deal... Teaching you guys is pretty easy, you're good at it." Hah, so he did manage to instruct them, it was hard not to get a big head over that. He couldn't wait to tell Yumi and Vegeta later and see what they had to say. Turns out Vegeta wasn't the only one who could teach people things! The mention of the General piqued his interest, he hadn't been at the fight after all and wasn't aware of what had happened. "So the General could use energy attacks...? Huh... Weird, considering I didn't really sense power in him before. Odd that he'd be able to master it so quickly." Curious, he couldn't fathom how in the world that creep had managed to master Ki attacks in literally a day. Even if the Kaesstrian had suppressed his energy Takeshi would still have been able to sense enough to gauge some kind of strength. That was a puzzle for another day though, he couldn't be bothered with it right now. They had much more important matters to attend to after all!

Right, so to finish their training a little help was going to be needed. Much as Takeshi wanted to think he could do it all he wasn't totally arrogant, he knew it was a little beyond him. That old pervert Roshi on the other hand, he'd taught who knows how many pupils over the years. Heck, he'd been the one to first teach Shu, so re-teaching him shouldn't be a problem at all. Grinning at his brother and friend cheerfully the older boy pointed towards the Kame House, intending on leaving right then and there. "Roshi will teach you two in no time! Then we can focus on some real training after that!" Sparring and whatnot, and with flight and Ki involved instead of regular old martial arts. Not that there was anything wrong with that, but when all your enemies could blow apart a planet it was handy to know some Ki of your own. Blinking as his hand was grabbed and pulled Takeshi stumbled a bit, smirking amused at Shu. "He'll like T'charrl, don't worry. The guy's been around a long while, he's made friends with all kinds of people!" The old hermit might be a little surprised at first, but reason told him Roshi would have no issue with the Kaesstrian. "If you want Nimbus then call him, I think that's how it works since it's yours after all. Just do it like this..." he added, cupping his hands around his mouth before shouting loudly, "Niiiiiiiiimbus!"
Takeshi shrugged his shoulders, not quite sure about the orbs either. All he knew was T'charrl had definitely found his own energy, meaning both he and Shu had succeeded in step one of the training. They had gotten it awfully quick, he was almost hopeful they'd completely get it down just today and be able to start sparring come tomorrow. Maybe that was being a tad too optimistic, after all the first step was the easiest by far. "Well they don't seem to be hurting you in any way, so I don't imagine they're bad," the Saiyan pointed out, nodding as he crossed his arms over his chest. "And for something that was really hard you guys got it quick. I'm beginning to wonder if you even need me to teach you." Hm... Now that he thought about it there was someone else that they could go to for training. Master Roshi ought to be out on his island still, and it wasn't too far a flight from where they were now.

Shu was certainly enthusiastic about all of this, pretty glad to be getting use of his Ki again. Good, they were happy to be training, hopefully that meant they'd put up with his sub-par teaching skills. Then again, maybe they wouldn't have to. "Blasting things is last Shu, you're getting ahead of yourself," Takeshi said, ruffling his brother's hair, "We still need to learn how to channel your Ki before you use it for anything. And I might have an idea of how we can get your training done even quicker." After all, it made sense to have someone who'd taught goodness knows how many students do this aside from some kid who had a vague idea. Smirking at Shu knowingly Takeshi hopped up onto his feet, pointing off in the direction of the sea. "Remember old man Roshi? I bet we can get him to train you guys in no time! Plus he probably has some more neat tricks he can teach you too! Want to go pay him a visit?"
