"Trust me T'charrl, he's pretty perverted. Only reason you don't know is because you're not a girl..." How many times had Yumi been groped by that lecherous old coot anyways? More than she cared to count, same as how many times she had swatted him for it. Still, for how bothersome he was the man was definitely a good teacher, she couldn't argue that. It was nice to hear that T'charrl was making some leeway with his training, she wondered why they had decided to go to Roshi after all. Granted he was a pretty good instructor, and seeing as none of them were girls there was plenty of reason to head there. "Maybe I'll go see him before we leave. It has been a while, and I have to admit I muss the old guy, if only a little." He was actually fairly dear to her, as were most of her teachers. Some day she was going to have to make it a point to travel around and pay them a visit, if she could find them. Geoffrey as well for that matter, now that she thought about it. Goodness knows what the orangutan was up to now. The bug comment made Yumi perk up a bit, looking over at her friend with a small frown. "Takeshi said that huh? Well you do look a bit like a moth I guess, but that's not a reason to hide yourself. Moths are nice little bugs, and unless you're afraid of bugs no one minds them. I seriously doubt people seeing you is going to cause any kind of big panic."

Takeshi peered out from under the table he had hidden beneath, relieved to see Viral having gone away. Maybe not he could sit down and not have to worry about being munched on. Climbing out from his hidey-hole the Saiyan sat down beside his brother, smiling nervously as he grabbed one of the remaining smoothies and began to sip away. Just why was the Beastman so totally out of it anyways? He knew they had started his sessions with that doctor to try and make him feel better, was something about that causing this? Weird, he didn't think Viral could be so mellowed out, it wasn't at all like how he normally was. At least he wasn't looking depressed anymore, that was a step in the right direction he supposed. "We're probably going to go back to Roshi's later, would you want to come with us?" he asked, bringing the conversation back. "I'm sure he'd love to see you again."

Yumi tossed her empty cup at Takeshi, rolling her eyes as he laughed at her expense. "I'm sure he would too, but if he tries touching me he's going in the ocean. I hope the old man can swim." A small smile crept across her lips even though she tried to be annoyed, she did want to go see the hermit again. That was probably part of the reason he was so dirty, he had no contact with anyone else and had some pent up... Stuff. Then again if he was in the city he may well just be a menace to society too, probably best he was out on his island then. Looking at Viral she bumped his shoulder gently, offering over the smoothie she had just taken. "Viral, want to meet master Roshi? I don't think you know him, it'll be... Well, interesting."
Takeshi didn't want to be anybody's snack, he was squirming like heck to get Viral to let go of him. Eventually the Beastman did, but the reprieve was very short lived as he felt teeth on his arm not too long after. Yelping he flailed his free arm, placing his hand on his friend's head and beginning to push frantically to get free. His shoulder was okay despite having been bit, the pressure behind the bite being pretty lax and only leaving him with red marks. It was the same deal with his arm, but it felt so weird having someone bite him. "Viral, it's not funny, let go!" the Saiyan whined, unsuccessfully getting his friend off. Giving a pleading look at Yumi he groaned when she seemed to be paying him absolutely no mind, being left to his own devices. Awkwardly he began to try and pull Viral off, first trying to loosen his bite before going to try and at least make him release his grip by moving his paws. For someone who was really out of it he was sure being aggressive.

"Ki training huh? I remember doing that a while ago. My first lessons were with this old man, Master Roshi. Kind of a pervert, but he was a good teacher." The whole 'beating up Takeshi' thing went on without a remark, if only because she could plainly see he was fine. Well, aside from being nommed on by Viral, but even that was just play. Sipping away cheerfully at her drink Yumi looked back over at T'charrl, questioning why he was all dressed up in a bed sheet. If being inconspicuous was his desired goal then he was sorely falling short of that. Unless someone thought he was a walking mattress it was pretty evident that he was trying to hide something. Might as well come out and just show himself, more heads were probably turning with him being hidden like that. "So...? There's loads of aliens on this planet," Yumi said, making it sound like no big deal because it really wasn't. "I don't know who told you to cover up but you'll be fine. Some people might freak, but there's always a few." Off to the side she heard Takeshi yelp again, and when she turned to see what the deal was she saw him scurrying away, hiding under a nearby table.

"Viral, stop trying to eat me!" Takeshi whined, pointing accusingly at the Beastman. What the heck was wrong with him? Looking down at his arm he pouted, seeing his shirt all torn and soggy from drool. The red marks weren't a big deal, they would be gone within moments, but now his clothes were nasty. Grumbling under his breath the Saiyan ripped off his now soiled shirt, tossing it into a nearby waste bin and frowning at his friend. "If you're hungry go have a smoothie or something, I'm not on the menu!"
Viral was weird when he was all mellow. It was like when Shu was totally out of it, this just didn't suit the guy. Yet it was kind of funny too, Takeshi had to see just how much he could get away with. After all it was a once in a life time chance to mess with Viral and not get clobbered for it, he couldn't pass it up. After just simply trying to annoy the Beastman by getting close he opted to poke his friend's nose, figuring invading his personal space like that would do it. Surprisingly there was very little response from that, he figured he'd have been cleaved in two the second he touched Viral. "Huh... So is he just like... Sleepy or something?" No sooner did the words leave his mouth did the Beastman suddenly lean forward, biting down on his shoulder. While not exactly painful it did startle Takeshi, and with a yelp he gave a little jump, stumbling around with the other man attached to him. "Ah, get him off, get him off!" he whined, trying to push his friend off to no avail. Hoping for some help from Yumi he looked over, his jaw dropping seeing her sitting at the table drinking smoothies. Groaning Takeshi went back to trying to shove Viral off, squirming around nervously. "Viral... No! Bad Beastman!"

Takeshi could handle Viral for the time being, Yumi wanted a smoothie. The crowd was relatively dispersed now, the curiosity of the brothers' large appetite wearing off pretty quickly. It helped too that Viral was currently munching on one of them, not many people wanted to have that happen to them either. It was harmless anyways, the Beastman was pretty much just playing by the looks of it. Or... It was as close to playful as Viral got, seeing as he hadn't torn up Takeshi. Smiling amused she gave her drink a healthy sip, setting it down before looking across at Shu and T'charrl. "So where did you guys go today, hm...?" she asked, raising an eyebrow curiously. "We tried calling Takeshi's house to see if you wanted to come by, but no one was there. Have you been in the city all day?" Why in the world was T'charrl wearing a bed sheet for that matter? He seemed to be sticking out like a sore thumb with that thing on, it just looked kind of silly. Sipping at her drink again Yumi smiled slightly, "Uh... Are you cold T'charrl? Is our planet that much cooler than yours?"
It was nice, being able to enjoy themselves like this. Some good old fashioned rest and relaxation had been long overdue for them at this point, well over a year in the making. They were going to live it up as much as they could in this one week, and if that meant spending a small fortune on fruit smoothies then so be it. While sipping away merrily at their drinks Takeshi spotted Yumi and Viral in the gathering crowd, a bit surprised to see them there. He didn't think the Beastman would be caught dead out in public, let alone in a crowd like this. Weird, he seemed to be pretty indifferent to being around all of these people. This was certainly a bit puzzling, especially when Viral of all people started to drink from a smoothie without so much as a word against it. Now that was very different, since when did he like smoothies? Setting down his own cup Takeshi folded his arms on the table, cocking his head to the side and giving the pair a curious look. "So what are you two doing here...? And... Why are you drinking a smoothie, Viral? I didn't think you liked fruit."

"We're just going for a walk, that's all. And I wanted a smoothie, so we came here, is that a crime?" By the looks of it though it would be a miracle if they could get one now, the vendor was probably near sold out. Seeing as Viral had inadvertently commandeered her drink Yumi snatched up another, giving it a careful sniffing before sipping at it. "And I don't know why he's having one either... But he's been eating lately, so I just kind of give him things to eat..." Shrugging her shoulders she glanced at the Beastman, her lips pulling up in a slight smile. He was getting plenty of nutrition just today alone, hopefully he'd be feeling better then as a result. Vegeta had said something about regulating Viral's diet while they were out and all, Yumi liked to think she was doing a pretty good job of that so far. If only he'd talk a bit more, then she'd have a better idea of how he was feeling. The sound of wood scraping against the ground made her glance back at the table, and her eyes widened when she saw Takeshi standing in front of Viral, giving him a look over. Nearly spitting out her smoothie Yumi coughed into her hand, "Ack, what are you doing? Leave him alone Takeshi."

Why did Viral look so completely mindless? Nah, maybe mindless wasn't the right word. Mellow, that was it. He just didn't seem to care about anything really, it was strange for him. Eating was definitely a good sign, but why was he so relaxed in a crowd, and so willing to do as he was told? Waving a hand in the Beastman's face Takeshi chuckled as Yumi pulled him away from his collar, shrugging her off with an innocent smile. "Relax! I just want to see if he's really calm or just faking it!" It was kind of eerie in a way seeing the guy so laid back, he had never been like this as long as they had known him. Stepping back over to Viral the Saiyan narrowed his eyes, trying to see what the deal was. Maybe Vegeta's friend had done some hypnosis mumbo-jumbo to make him like this, or maybe they broke his brain. Smiling curiously Takeshi carefully poked Viral's nose, grinning as he did so. "So how's the smoothie Viral? I didn't know you liked fruity drinks."
Takeshi carefully balanced the smoothies as he moved back to where Shu was seated, readily splaying them out across the table for view. With an excited chuckle he took a seat at the table then, grabbing his own and ridding himself of the lid. "He is a nice guy I guess," he agreed, nodding as he slurped at his smoothie, "Though I'm willing to bet the money had a bit of a hand in that." The guy probably was genuinely nice, he knew he shouldn't be so cynical. People were awfully motivated by money though, he'd grown up around loads of folk who did literally anything for a quick buck. Heck, his master had been that way too, so there was certainly a little bias. Ah, but that was neither here nor there, and they were supposed to be having a good time. Smiling brightly as Shu began eating Takeshi glanced over at T'charrl, hopeful their friend would find them tasty as well. "Don't apologize T'charrl, it's not your fault. People are just stupid like that," he said dismissively, taking another gulp of his own food. "They'll stare at anything that's unusual to them. Uh... But don't think you're unusual to us! You're our friend and all, we don't mind you. And give these people some time and they won't mind you either!"

"It's good isn't it? Try all of them you want, we've got to eat them all." Hm, he didn't think he'd want more than one, but Takeshi was really feeling hungry. After drinking down the last of his first smoothie he eagerly grabbed another, this one being some random mix, he couldn't remember what. Giving it a curious sniff he licked his lips happily, starting to drink it down as well. Around them quite a few people had begun to watch the trio eating their smoothies, astonished at the rate they were devouring them. Heh, guess they had never seen a Saiyan eat before, Takeshi mused. It had been so long since they'd had these things he almost wanted to go get more, for the road if nothing else. They had very nearly cleaned the guy's stall out, though he figured with all the cash he was given he didn't really mind. Gulping down a mouthful of his beverage the Saiyan peered over the rim of his glass, blinking as he spotted a pair of familiar faces in the crowd. Taking a second to register he quickly lowered his cup, blinking in surprise. "Eh...? Yumi? Viral? When did you two get here?"

What was with this crowd? Sure, the smoothie stall was popular, it usually had quite a few people hanging around, but never this many. Since they weren't in the city for any particular reason Yumi opted to check it out, near dragging Viral along after her by his arm. She didn't even have to push through the lines of people to hear three familiar voices chomping away at food, and sure enough when she and the Beastman broke to the front she saw Shu, T'charrl and Takeshi making a scene of themselves. Her eyes widened slightly at the sight too of all the drinks on the table, astonished briefly that they had gotten so many before remembering their appetite. Smiling amused when she was spotted Yumi laughed lightly, putting her hands on her hips and cocking an eyebrow. "You boys are going to get a brain freeze eating those so fast, you know. Slow down will you?" Hm... Seeing as she had come here for a smoothie anyways she might as well help herself to one. Reaching down she snatched one up, giving it a taste before sipping at it cheerfully.

"We don't get brain freeze, so no, we won't slow down," Takeshi retorted, smiling as he went back to drinking. Instantly he had his foot in his mouth, wincing as his forehead and left temple felt like they were on fire. Gasping he slammed down his cup, rubbing at his forehead and closing his eyes. "Ah... You jinxed it! Damn it Yumi!" Okay, maybe he could stand to slow down a tiny bit, he'd had more than both Shu and T'charrl already after all. Opening up his eyes again he saw their friend sipping at one of their smoothies, pouting and pointing a finger at her accusingly. "Hey, that's ours! We bought those!"

"Yeah? Well you've got more than enough, so relax. I'm only having one." It was pretty yummy, whatever was in it. Sticking her tongue out playfully at the sulking boy Yumi glanced at Viral, smiling and offering the drink over to him. "Want some? There's plenty to go around."
"We'll eat our fill as soon as we're done training Shu, not a minute sooner! After all we've got to work up an appetite, right?" Sure they were hungry now, but a nice easy fight would make them even hungrier, then they could eat even more. That was a fool proof plan if Takeshi had ever heard one, and the promise of food was all the more reason to get started. After giving himself a good stretching the Saiyan got ready to begin, instead perking up and looking over at T'charrl. "Eh... Scared of you? I doubt it, there's been plenty of different things in the city, and it was all from Earth. Heck, there were some weird looking guys in the tournament! I remember one purple guy who had something weird for hair, like tentacles or something. And he made this weird squishing noise when you punched him..." Heh, yeah, there were definitely some strange people native to Earth, no doubt about it. Takeshi was certain their friend would get on just fine, sans the few people who were going to act weird around him regardless. Humans were annoying like that, they got all funny around things they didn't know. Given some time though they'd be totally fine with T'charrl, no doubt. Seeing the Kaesstrian assume a stance Takeshi got back into his own, grinning as he gestured for the two to come at him. "I'll be gentle, don't worry. Now come on, let's do this!"

Two on one training... Not an idea Takeshi was ready to replicate any time soon. Shu was faster, and as it turns out T'charrl could hit pretty stinking hard, even with his skinny arms. Most of their 'fight' had involved him dodging and running away, which he was at least pleased to say he could evade pretty well. The soreness on his chest and legs were indications that he'd taken as many blows as he'd avoided though, there would probably be some little bruises later on. Right now he wasn't exactly upset over that, in fact he had a rather wide grin on his face. After some coercion to get T'charrl to join them the trio went to East City to get a meal of smoothies and other goodies. The Kaesstrian was wearing a bed sheet like a cloak, it was the best they could do to conceal him, and so far it was working. Sure, people looked because the kid was pretty large, but there was no mass hysteria. They even managed to find the very same smoothie cart they had visited before, the old man tending it even recognized Takeshi and Shu too! Maybe it was the suitcase full of cash they had on hand, but the man was more than happy to make them any combination of smoothies that they wanted. Being a touch too lazy to count it properly Takeshi just handed over a handful of bound bills, carefully balancing a stack of cups on his free arm. They probably had two dozen smoothies between the three of them, every flavor combination available.Yeah, this would hold them over just nicely for now.

"Oh wow... I don't even remember him having that many fruits...!" Takeshi remarked, smiling brightly as he sat himself down on a nearby bench. One by one he carefully placed out the cups, leaving them for Shu and T'charrl to take as they pleased. Mango-cherry-banana, peach-banana-pineapple, all sorts of combinations. Hopefully they tasted good, some were a bit iffy though he was sure they'd be eaten regardless. For himself Takeshi had gotten a banana-cherry smoothie with added chocolate, not unlike a sundae. Taking the plastic lid off he tossed it into a nearby bin, simply drinking back the cool contents. Sighing happily as it slid into his tummy he wiped his mouth on the back of his hand, leaning back in his seat a bit and looking at T'charrl eagerly. "Well go on, try one! There's all sorts of fruits in these, hopefully we got one that you'll like."
Ah, that's right! Shu was pretty clueless about a lot of foods, which meant they had a ton of eating to do. Looks like they were going to be making loads of trips back to East City. Hehe, most if not all of their leftover winnings were probably all just going to go to food at this point, which was perfectly fine with him. It had been ages since they had any really good Earth food, Takeshi was all ready to get a nice stacked plate of goodies when they were done here. "T'charrl can definitely come try them too! You've got to, they're very good," the older boy said, smiling at their friend excitedly. "You can try all the fruits we have here. Bananas, strawberries, mango, peaches... Uh..." What else went into smoothies? Cherries probably, maybe some vanilla ice cream. Sheesh, all this talk of food was making him awfully hungry, if they kept talking about this then he was going to forgo training just to get a bite to eat. Right, time to forget about food for now, they had training to do!

"I'm only going to fly to avoid you, and I won't do it a lot. So no one's going to be at a disadvantage," Takeshi pointed out. Smiling excitedly he began to stretch, crossing one arm over his chest and pulling at it, switching to the other side as well. Squatting down he jumped up, getting a bit of air before lightly bouncing on his feet, rolling his shoulders. "If you're not that good at hand-to-hand then all the more reason to spar, right? You can't get better if you don't do it after all!" This ought to be fun, fighting in a two on one. So long as he could keep away from Shu and not get hit by T'charrl this little match of theirs should last pretty long. Seeing as they had the numbers advantage Takeshi figured he'd try using his head for a change, let them come to him and wait for openings. Spacing his legs apart the Saiyan held up his fists, smiling as he motioned for the others to come at him. "Come on guys, let's do it! The sooner we finish here the sooner we can get those smoothies!"
There it was, Shu was seeming much happier now, smiling away at just about everything. Seriously, the idea of him being even was just silly, it wouldn't happen in a million years. The younger boy settled down about it, even making some jokes too. "Wish for a polka dot sky? That would be such a waste of a wish," Takeshi said, smirking as he held up a finger. "Now... A sky made of cotton candy, there's a wish! Or make it rain syrup, that would be yummy." He hadn't had syrup in ages, now he really wanted some. Maybe tomorrow morning they would go back into town and try finding a pancake house, there might even be one with an 'all you could eat' special. Had Shu even ever had pancakes before? If they could get banana pancakes then that would be all the incentive the young boy would need. Bringing up smoothies only served to excite Shu even further, now he was springing about giddily with a wide smile on his face. "All the smoothies you can drink! Glad to see you still remember those at least." Cheap and yummy, at least feeding the little guy was going to be a snap.

T'charrl would be joining them for training, hopefully. He didn't sound overly confident about fighting alongside the two Saiyans, he was definitely skeptical of how he stacked up. Well, he had managed to beat that General jerk back on Kaesstra, and according to the twins and Kabocha they had some trouble with him. If T'charrl was that strong then he could definitely spar, especially if he had a partner. A two on one in any other case would really stink, but right now Takeshi thought it would be quite a bit of fun. "No one will fire Ki anyways, not until you two get a better hold on it. And I'll only fly to avoid you, but I won't stay in the air forever, that wouldn't be fair. Just think of it as a little martial arts training." It was going to be mighty interesting, seeing how this panned out. Shu was probably still quicker than him and the jury was out on whether Takeshi or T'charrl were stronger physically. Until they got brawling he supposed he wouldn't know, and he'd have to find out by getting hit. Nonetheless the older boy was still pretty excited, it was going to be a challenge to see how well he could hold out too. "If you get your body stronger it also makes your Ki stronger. They kind of grow together, so you'll want to train like this too. And with Shu fighting with you it's not like you'd be at any disadvantage. What do you say, want to do it?"
"Shu, the only thing you bite is food. And... Maybe someone if they're annoying you," Takeshi replied, shrugging his shoulders. "Seriously, you're the last person I would think would become evil. The sky would sooner turn polka dots then you'd be evil." The little guy might be worried about it, but he wasn't. There wasn't a single way that he could fathom wherein his younger sibling would become evil, it just wouldn't happen. Chuckling softly the older boy unhooked his brother, placing his hands in his pockets with a smirk. "Every time you think you're turning evil tell me and I'll buy you a smoothie, how's that? Oh! Speaking of which, I still owe you a ton of smoothies, don't I?" They had made that bet after all, and he'd lost. Now that they were finally back home it was high time he made good on it. He could go for a nice mango smoothie himself, and maybe a tropical blend one too. Hopefully that cart was still open, he didn't want to have to wander all over East City to find a place. "Tell you what, we'll do some training and then when we finish we'll go to town for smoothies. After we finish those we can come back here to train! Or go back home... Either or."

Nothing left to do at this point but to train. They had covered more than enough ground for one day, and even with only a week to practice there was no rush. Considering how quickly Shu and T'charrl got down the first two phases it was a bit much to think they'd need a whole six days to get down the last step, even if it was the hardest. Wanting to keep active Takeshi suggested to train, inviting T'charrl over to join them seeing as Roshi had ditched him. This ought to be fun, they had never fought all together before, not like this anyways. "Of course I'm sure! We're only sparring, it's not like it's a real fight or anything. And you're plenty strong anyways." A three person free-for-all might be a little hectic though, there was a lot to worry about. Takeshi had a plan, one that would most likely end up biting him in the butt. He didn't care though, it sounded pretty fun right now. "Instead of all of us fighting one another... What if you two fight me?" he suggested, smiling excitedly. "I've got Ki, and I won't blast you two but I can at least fly to avoid you, so that makes it fair. How about it, let's see how that works?"
"You aren't awful at them Shu, you just need to learn how to do it a bit better, that's all!" There was awful and then there was unlearned, Shu fell into the latter. If he were really awful then he'd not be succeeding in learning the two steps in just one afternoon. The little guy had a knack for this kind of thing, it was just hard because it had been so long since he'd done any of it. Yeah, definitely only a few days and he'd have it down, no doubt about that. Slinging an arm around his brother's shoulders and prodding him in the chest he grinned, "You, evil? I don't think you have a single evil bone in your body Shu. Heck, I'm pretty sure you couldn't be evil no matter what happened to you." Him being evil was like black being white, or light being dark, it was pretty much impossible. The two were just on totally opposite ends and there wasn't any overlapping. Besides, Takeshi mused, the little guy would probably be a pretty lousy bad guy anyways, what with his tendency to be so oblivious to things. Chuckling a bit he pulled his sibling closer, winking at him knowingly. "Even if you did turn bad all I'd have to do is tell you no fruit, and there, problem solved! Can't be evil without your fruit now can you?"

Hm... What to do now? It seemed like a lot to ask Shu to start blasting or flying today, they had only just barely covered the previous two steps. He really should be refining those before they made the leap at releasing energy, that was the most dangerous after all. Maybe a bit of training would be a good idea, that would pass time until they were ready to eat anyways. Just some easy sparring, they could have plenty of fun with that. Curious what T'charrl was up to Takeshi looked over expecting to see Roshi with their friend, frowning when he was all alone. So the old pervert had ditched him to head back inside huh? He could drag Roshi back out, but he had a better idea. "Hey, T'charrl! How about you come train with us?" he called, waving their friend over. Might as well include him, he needed the training too after all. Plus this way things were a bit more interesting, now it wasn't just him and Shu butting heads like they'd done so many times before. Throwing someone else in the mix ought to keep them on their toes. "What do you think Shu, we'll all train together? Just a practice fight, you know how it works. Do we wanna make one of our usual bets out of it?"
