Takeshi knew the others probably wouldn't like his proposal, him and Shu being the only ones to fight their father. This whole mess was their fault though, they had all been hurt in one way or another due to their existence. It wasn't fair to ask them to put themselves in any more danger for their sake then, when the big fight came it would be Princes against the King. "Good. We've got to protect each other and our friends. It's our father causing this mess so it's only right that we take care of it." No one would be told of this plan, it would be like last time when he and Shu had gone off to save Viral themselves. They wouldn't be happy about it but they could deal, it wasn't their fight. Releasing his brother as he bounced about Takeshi smiled amused, "Train hard enough and you will be strong, and we'll keep everyone safe together." he said, giving a thumbs up. Lowering his hand when asked to swing through trees the older boy lost a bit of his enthusiasm, smiling slightly as he rubbed at the back of his neck. "Maybe, that's not really my thing though. I guess when we get home again I can at least try doing it with you once." Worst case scenario he didn't like doing it and they never went back to it again. By some off chance he could enjoy himself and it would be a new thing to do, however unlikely that seemed.

Vegeta thought it was a little humorous the way Viral touted his power. Not because he thought the Beastman's strength was a joke or anything but he was in a group where near everyone possessed the same degree of power. Evidently the Beastman did take the laugh to heart and subsequently got mad, not trying to hide his displeasure as he demanded a change of clothing. "You've got impressive power, don't get the wrong idea. I just don't worry about you because if I did I'd have to worry about the others too. The fact we all possess such strength is something natural really." And being natural there was no reason to fear it. Viral was learning to handle himself better, and with that came the control necessary to prevent himself from ever doing something truly damaging. Grabbing a set of clothing out of the dresser Vegeta carefully set it out on the bed, going to the door and opening it to leave. "We should be having supper soon before anything else, it's probably about time. If we train now it'll be a short session, so how about we hold off until afterwards?" he suggested, stepping outside. "I'll be out here when you're ready, assuming you're coming with me."

Yumi had never thought T'charrl could change quite like this, but she shouldn't be surprised. Everyone she knew could change in one way or another, transformations were basically a fact of life at this point. Even if he might be a bit intimidating like this she wasn't going to back down, being persistent as she stepped forward and tried to calm him down with a gentle touch. Having the Kaesstrian turn on her and lower his head was a bit unsettling, she was well aware of the sharp appendages he now possessed and had very little desire to be on the receiving end of them. Eying the antennae as they twitched at her she frowned, more about what her boyfriend had to say than the advances. "Hush Choi, he's not going to hurt me. He's our friend, have a little more faith in him." What was it about bugs that seemed to turn men into little girls? Looking up and meeting T'charrl's gaze Yumi smiled gently, lifting up her hand to try and touch his cheek. "I know you're in there, just relax. Take some deep breaths and remember who you are, you'll be fine."
Takeshi really didn't get why Shu was getting so hyped up about lifting weights, it had never done anything for him. If he little guy enjoyed it though who were they to deny him his fun? So long as he didn't go over the top and end up dropping weights on himself everything was just fine. Kai wasn't exactly up to sparring by the sounds of it, to nervous about throwing his and Choi's balance out of whack. That must be annoying, having to hold back to stay in line with your brother. He and Shu were close but not identical, that would be such a headache if they had to pace themselves for one another. It would be especially bothersome considering how one of them often ended up getting injured and becoming stronger as a result, it meant they'd have to wait while the other caught up. Shu sounded pretty ecstatic about weights, thinking they were going to do more for him than they probably would. And now he wanted to try and match his big brother's strength, not that he really had that far to go. Of course Takeshi in his infinite modesty had accepted the challenge after gloating ever so slightly, more than happy to compete with his little brother.

"I mean the training that you're doing now isn't going to cut it. I train harder than you do already so you have to train harder than even I do." Takeshi grinned as he leaned over, coming to eye level with Shu as he put his hands on his hips. "That is if you're up to it. After all your big brother spends a ton of time getting stronger, and you won't be able to play as much. If you're willing to give up some free time then we can make it work." Shame they had no rooms with controllable gravity, he recalled there being something about that in Gohan's book. Supposedly training under stronger gravity gave you a really good workout, they could improve their strength in no time that way. Moving to Shu's side Takeshi slung an arm around his brother's shoulders, pulling him close so he could speak in a hushed tone. "Plus... When it's time to fight father we're not letting any of our friends fight him, right? It's too dangerous for them, it'll be up to us. So we have to get as strong as possible so we can keep them all safe."

Vegeta kept himself looking away from Viral, having absolutely no desire to see him in just a bed sheet. "Either way you managed to change back, under your own power no less. That's a feat worth noting Viral. It may not be exactly what we were looking for mind you but now we have a fail-safe aside from draining you of your strength." Besides, with these solar powered lights in his room the Beastman should regain his strength fairly rapidly, he wouldn't feel weak for too long. Optimism had to be reserved however, there was no guarantee this method would work on any of the other forms. The dragon form probably not, somehow Vegeta didn't think a serpentine monster would enjoy having its head scratched quite like a cat would. They didn't even know of his third form yet, and it certainly would not work for Enki. Perhaps there was no universal solution then, maybe every form had its own fix. Or maybe they all were solved by soothing and energy release, just in different manners. "Weapon of mass destruction...? Honestly...?" Vegeta smiled, laughing a bit before looking at Viral amused. "Viral... With all due respect myself and the others probably all posses the same capabilities. If I was to be concerned about you then I'd be worried about them as well, but I'm not. Yes you have the power, but you also won't use it in that way, I know you won't. So the idea of you causing widespread destruction has never once crossed my mind as a serious consideration."

Yumi had never seen T'charrl like this, it was a pretty shocking experience. Choi had, albeit this time around it was different than the last according to him. So did that mean that their friend had more than one form? Or was he becoming worse and his transformations becoming more extreme? Whatever the case it was evident that T'charrl wasn't feeling well or too happy, avoiding them like the plague and seeming rather guilty as well. Intimidating didn't cut how the Kaesstrian looked, and those appendages were outright lethal if struck with one probably. Yumi moved forwards regardless, determined to try and help out in whatever way she could. Holding up her hands to show she meant no harm she smiled sympathetically, getting as close as she dared before stopping in her tracks. Just her approach had frightened him enough to back him against the wall, was he really so concerned she might hurt him? Or maybe that wasn't it at all, she mused, maybe he just didn't want to be seen. Well tough luck, because she and Choi were here now and they were going to see him through this. "T'charrl? It's Yumi, do you recognize me?" she asked kindly, reaching out just with one hand to touch one of his claws. "Relax, we're not going to hurt you, we're going to help you."
Shu might eat a lot of things, weights wouldn't be one of them. Even he had enough common sense not to put everything he found in his mouth, he wasn't a baby. Still... Probably not a bad idea to keep an eye on him, just in case. While Kai wandered off Takeshi stayed put to make sure his brother behaved himself. So long as the little guy was careful not to strain himself and pull a muscle he could do this for as long as he wanted. Saiyans weren't immune to hurting themselves, they just recovered a lot quicker than humans or other people. "When you're done with that we can try a different work out too if you want, the one you're doing now is pretty easy." Plus all it would do was work on his arms, and unless Shu wanted massive arms and nothing else this wouldn't cut it. Grinning at the compliment Takeshi rubbed at his nose, chuckling as he shrugged his shoulders, "Well... You know... If you train plenty you'll be as strong as me someday, maybe," he said, smiling at Shu. "But it's going to take a lot of work to get there, and I'm not going to stop training to wait for you! So then Shu," he paused, pointing at his brother, "Are you ready to train harder than you've ever trained before?"

Vegeta wasn't sure how Viral had done it, but he was back to his regular self. He'd only seen that for a fraction of a second though as he averted his gaze, not particularly wanting to see a bare Beastman. Shielding his eyes with his hand he mentioned the change, gesturing for his friend to get something on rather than sit there stark naked. "So it wasn't much different from had you just exhausted yourself then," Vegeta concluded, frowning behind his hand. "Shame... That looked promising too. but we do have proof of concept now at the very least." Peeking through his fingers to see Viral in a sheet he dropped his hand, leaning against the wall while looking at the Beastman thoughtfully. "So we have to calm you down before we can bring out your energy, and even then we need to make certain its the right energy. And speaking of Enki... I meant to ask. Is that a form like your others, or is that an extension of your own energy? I haven't been able to figure that out until now." The more he knew the better off he would be in helping Viral. As things stood now it was doable but hardly ideal, more information had to be gathered. "Right or not, you did it without having to be beaten to the point of exhaustion. Is it perfect? Not by a long shot, but it's still preferable to the alternative at least."

"Saiyans really don't do anything other than fight... Do they? That's kind of sad in a way." She loved fighting as a sport most of the time, but even Yumi acknowledged she wouldn't only want to do that. It wasn't as if people like Choi, Kai and Kabocha had much say in what they would be doing anyways, they were more or less under the thumb of the king their entire lives. She could hardly fault them for what they were forced to do, that included blowing up her home city. That didn't stop her however for giving Choi a little punch over it, that was the least that he deserved. "I liked that food stand too Choi. At least they rebuilt it though, it would be pretty depressing if I couldn't go there for lunch anymore." The one in question was a small noodle stand, one that she frequented fairly often while in the city. The owners were a nice couple and actually used good ingredients for their food, it wasn't quite like fast food or instant cook noodles. Hmph, now that they were on the topic she really wanted some noodles. Her appetite however would wait a moment, there was something else fighting for her attention, namely the smell of raw meats and fruits. Outside the training room there was a slight moment of hesitation before Yumi opened it up, stepping inside not too sure what to expect to find. Spotting a rather large, and twisted T'charrl lying on the ground she stopped in place, definitely surprised.

He was asleep, or appeared to have been until the sound of the door closing roused him from his slumber. Taken aback as T'charrl let out a roar before backing off Yumi exchanged an uncertain look with Choi, not sure if they should be here or not. This was different, she'd never seen the Kaesstrian like this. He didn't come across as dangerous, if anything he was trying to hide from him. Why in the world had he been left down here all alone like this, that didn't seem very nice. Watching as he covered himself with an arm Yumi put on a sad smile, holding up her hands as she slowly began to approach him. "Easy T'charrl, we're not going to hurt you or anything, we just want to help," she said kindly, stopping short as she held out her hands. "You don't have to hide from us T'charrl, we're your friends remember? Come here, I can help you."
Takeshi didn't want the others to know how he felt, and he certainly didn't need Choi crying over him or Kabocha giving him crap. Things were annoying enough without that added to it, thank you very much. He wasn't too sure where that had come from anyways, he supposed it had been a while coming though. The twins and Kabocha really had done a good deal for them and it still didn't quite feel like they had paid the three back yet, so maybe it was his conscience talking. Either way it felt a little nice to say it, so long as it didn't get out. Training had been decided at last, for Shu anyways, he wanted to try weights. A bit of a waste of time in Takeshi's opinion but he wasn't going to say no. "Come on, I don't think Shu is going to mistake weights for food," he replied, smiling slightly amused nonetheless. Shu knew better than that, otherwise he'd go around biting near everything he was unfamiliar with. Fetching two of the smaller sets of weights he first showed how to do repetitions with them before handing them over to his brother. That was one problem with weight training, it often only focused on one area. They would have to use all sorts of different kinds and machines to get a full body workout, and that always took so long. "Yeah, you're doing it alright. I don't think you're going to feel much of a difference that quickly though," Takeshi said, chuckling. "If those are too light you can grab different ones, just don't overdo it."

"Is this even working...? I've not any desire to keep this up..." Vegeta had been scratching for a few minutes now, and while Viral was relaxed he was still a cat. Perhaps this wasn't the solution to changing him back, they should try something else. He was ready to give up on it until a spark of energy collected in Viral's paw, catching his attention immediately. Curious, the Beastman rarely ever released energy like that, and when he did it was typically solar energy. This was something different entirely, something he couldn't place. The energy grew slightly in size and mass, swirling at a faster pace that signified a higher concentration. Becoming a little wary now Vegeta reached out to try and stop it, but before he could even touch Viral's paw the energy dispersed, shattering like glass. That was different to be sure, but what was it? Whatever it had been evidently was the answer to all of their problems, as the Beastman was finally beginning to revert. It was barely noticeable at first, but soon Vegeta saw patches of fur vanishing and Viral began to shrink back down. It took but a short time until his friend was back to his old, non-furry, naked self. On that note the Saiyan hastily turned his head away, recalling his promise before about not looking. "Viral...? How in the world did you do that? You're back!"

Yumi didn't doubt the potentials of telepathy, but there were some applications she just couldn't buy into. Espionage was never her thing, she was much more hands-on in most matters. If they could teach the rest of the group this technique they would be that much stronger of a force, and considering their opponent they could use every advantage they could get. They would find a chance to use it, she was sure of it. "I hadn't even thought about that... What do soldiers do after war?" It was a pretty big question, one that neither of them were fit to answer. They would all have to find new jobs, she supposed. Considering the size of the Saiyan military that was a hell of a lot of people being relocated for work. Granted many would return home, but that still left tons of Saiyans with nothing to do. Choi's off-comment about blowing up the city earned him a small punch in the arm, albeit a small smile on Yumi's face told him not to worry so much. The past was the past and he hadn't done anything by choice, she knew that now and didn't hold anything against him. Like Choi she began to notice a curios smell as they approached one of the training halls, a strange mix of fruit and uncooked meats. Wrinkling her nose she looked at the sealed room, stopping in her tracks and releasing Choi's hand. "There shouldn't be anything here... The mess hall is upstairs..." Last time this had happened Viral had changed and gone rampant, was that the case this time too? Worried now Yumi hastily punched in the code for the door, stepping inside as soon as the gap was wide enough for her. Expecting to find a Beastman her eyes widened instead at the sight before them. "T'charrl...?"
It might not be their training hall, but it was similar enough to bring back some memories. Takeshi reflected briefly on how he and his squad had trained in places like these so often it was almost like their home. He couldn't quite say he had fun, nothing at that point was what he would call fun. Having the twins and Kabocha around however made it a bit more bearable, even if he always came across as loathing them. It had taken him some time to realize but finally it dawned on Takeshi he had hated the situation he was in, not those three. That and he owed them a lot for keeping quiet about him and Shu, that was a pretty big deal. So he had a little moment, he supposed, getting all sappy and thankful before quickly stepping back and warning Kai to keep quiet. His response was anything but reassuring, narrowing his eyes at Kai as he spoke. "Don't you dare tell them. Tell them something else, I don't care, but I don't need them thinking I'm all buddy buddy with everyone. I mean I kind of am, but I don't want to come across as a sap." Takeshi had a hard enough time as it was getting people to listen to him or take him seriously, if he came across as a softie then he might as well be speaking to a brick wall.

It was still up in the air what exactly they were doing, none of them had agreed on anything yet. It really didn't have to be anything too complex considering Kai didn't want to turn out too strong and throw his and Choi's balance off, or something like that. Shu had some idea by the looks of it as he wandered about the room, heading over for the weights. "I... I wasn't scared Shu!" Takeshi retorted, throwing a little something of a fit over having that brought up as he followed his brother. Not too sure why Shu had such an interest in weights, probably that new thing curiosity he often got. "You want to lift weights...? Okay, but half of them are bigger than you are." The weight probably wouldn't be an issue, but considering the bar for the weights were bigger than Shu it would certainly be interesting to see him lifting them. Fetching one of the lighter sets of weights from the stack he brought them over to his brother, offering them over. "Here, you can start with these. If they're too light you can move to something a bit heavier." He supposed they ought to show him how to use them too considering how clueless he looked. "For using them... Do something like this..." Pretending he had weights of his own Takeshi began to curl his arms, one at a time before smiling at Shu, "Think you got that?"

"Focus on your energy Viral, we have to isolate it and suppress it." If his transformations failed when he had no energy then the same could be said if he cut it off. This way though Viral could return to his regular form whenever he wished to, rather than having to battle until he collapsed from sheer exhaustion. It appeared to be working in calming the Beastman down at least, what Vegeta was doing. He certainly hoped the petting wasn't going to become a standard procedure, it was very unusual. Keeping a careful eye on Viral he watched as his friend settled down completely, not a single peep coming from him that might indicate he was upset any longer. If Vegeta wasn't excited before he certainly was once he noticed the sparks of energy in the Beastman's paw. So he was able to draw it out, which meant he could suppress it too! Battling back a wide grin he smiled, continuing to scratch away to help keep Viral calm. "That's it, you're getting close. Now that you have it just try to suppress it, you're nearly there."

"Spying? I doubt I'll do anything of that," Yumi answered, smiling as she flexed one arm, placing her hand on the bicep. "I prefer the more direct approach. Though I guess it's still a pretty cool trick! At least now we can talk and not have people eavesdropping or anything." Spying was too underhanded for her, she didn't usually enjoy sneaking around like that. When necessary she could certainly see its use, otherwise she didn't intend on using it for any such things. One application was grabbing her attention above all else and that was the potential for it in battle. To be able to talk about a strategy while fighting without the enemy hearing was huge, it could be the difference between victory and defeat. Now it made sense how Choi and Kai worked so fluidly during fights, albeit part of that probably too was just how used to one another they were. "People should start rebuilding after the king is gone, that's pretty obvious. The Saiyans are going to have to do a lot of making up so everyone doesn't hate them too," Yumi said, nodding as she spoke. Looking at Choi again she smiled, giving a shrug of her shoulders. "Humans don't really do much that's exciting. I've been with Shu and Takeshi for so long I've kind of just picked up what everyone else does. I can show you around the city some time if you really want though."
A lot of time had been spent in rooms like these over the last year. Takeshi had never been a fan of it, training in the way they had was dry and just repetitive. It was really nice having Shu along in that regard, their training was always interesting and at the very least entertaining. To Kai he only rolled his eyes a bit, dropping the subject before he got all fired up over it again. Hearing Kai speak more or less what he had just been thinking was a bit amusing, they had all spent a ton of time cooped up in places like this. Sure, it helped some but they could have gotten just as much if not more work done elsewhere. Outdoors training was the best by far for instance, though doing that in the middle of the vacuum of space was a tad bit tricky. "You know... I was kind of pissed when I found out who my squad was at first, I won't lie," Takeshi said, looking over at Kai with a small smile. "Some cooks and a spoiled noble, and here I was being toted as the king's prodigy or some crap. I didn't care a whole lot about being a Prince, still don't, but I thought I deserved better teammates. And you know what...?" Chuckling a bit he reached over, giving Kai a playful punch on the shoulder, a more earnest smile on his face. "Can't think of a better group of guys to have been put with. I give you crap, but no one else would have had my and Shu's back like you three did. You all are something else." Narrowing his eyes slightly Takeshi rubbed at his neck, looking away as his mouth tightened in a line. "And uh... Don't tell Choi or Kabocha I said that stuff, alright? Last thing I need is more reason for them to give me crap."

The conversation had certainly simmered down, which was nice. He did get angry and bothered easily but that didn't mean Takeshi enjoyed it, he usually felt pretty crummy afterwards. Now that the three of them were here they could get started for real at last and just goof off a bit. They ought to be actually training considering what was coming in the not so distant future, but with their big fight weeks away it was hard to feel the urgency just yet. Before they could begin there was the matter of T'charrl to address, namely whether or not they should involve him in this to make it an even group. While Takeshi backed off the idea maybe they should consider it, especially when Shu practically guilt tripped him. "I was not afraid of him! I was just... Surprised," the older boy retorted, giving Shu a look before shaking his head. Damn it, so he'd upset their friend, he hadn't thought T'charrl would have been aware of all that. Looking to the door as if debating going off to find the Kaesstrian Takeshi decided to stay put, figuring he would probably not be the best person to go anyways. "Eh... Do you really want to use this stuff? We can if we want to I guess."

Scratching and petting was definitely the way to settle down Viral. It was kind of hilarious actually, seeing the Beastman be turned so docile over such simple gestures. Vegeta almost thought he had reverted to his more feline-mindset, seeing him lie down and near doze off. Nope, there was a bit of Viral's generous words right there. "Evil...? In what reality is petting someone considered evil...?" he mused, chuckling. "This is doing wonders for you, you can't argue that. I'll admit it's a tad... Unorthodox for my tastes, but if it works I won't stop." With Viral calmed down now he should be far easier to work with and hopefully revert back to normal. The easier atmosphere helped Vegeta clear his thoughts, taking a seat beside his friend as he continued to scratch at various spots. What could possibly be done to help Viral get back to himself? He couldn't picture his usual form, which meant focusing on changing like that may not work. "Alright then, Viral? If you can feel your own energy right now I want you to try to make it regress, draw it in. Can you do that for me?"

Yumi had admittedly been skeptical going into this training, finding the notion of telepathy a little farfetched. Choi had been very keen on teaching her however and she hadn't the heart to say no, even if she had voiced her feelings. Now that they had finished their session she was very glad she had agreed to see it through, the technique had actually been real! Really it wasn't all that difficult either, it was done much in the same way that sensing energy was, only you extended your thoughts with your energy. It was a neat trick, and she couldn't help but feel proud over knowing something most of the others didn't. Stepping out of the training room, hand-in-hand with Choi she looked up at him happily, one corner of her mouth pulling up into a smirk. "I can't wait to try this out in an actual fight. We really should teach the others this, think of how much better we'd be as a team if we could all use it." The notion of having people like Kabocha and Takeshi in her head were a touch iffy, though she couldn't deny the benefits it might give. "After we all learn this and train some more we'll take the fight to that damn king of yours, and he's going to pay for what he did to all of us. I want to be there for it so I can give his butt a good kick!"
"You know perfectly well what you did Kai, don't plays stupid," Takeshi grumbled, feeling moody now. Now they could go ahead and get training at least, having reached the training hall at last. It was the same size as the one before only this had all sorts of equipment lining the walls. Some of it he recognized from Kortal, strange little machines that were supposed to help train. There were your standard weights as well, far too heavy for a human to pick up. None of that interested them though, that was much too plain a workout. Takeshi was more than ready to let then man-loving thing die, especially when Shu more or less ignored his plight for help. It was high time to focus on getting stronger, they were going to be doing a lot of training in the coming days to prepare. "It is pretty handy having all these rooms. I don't know where else we could train if not in here." The only place remotely large enough was the mess hall, but that was a sacred place where food was eaten. No way would he ever desecrate the mess hall by wrecking it... Because then where could they go to eat? Giving Kai a nasty look when he made another jab at him Takeshi rolled his eyes, rolling a shoulder and rubbing at it to warm up. "Okay, I'm punching you for that one. Don't worry, I won't be looking at you in any weird way, sorry to disappoint."

Shu looked to be pretty intrigued by all the machines, which came as a surprise to no one. Nearly everything was foreign to the little guy, even after so long. Even common household appliances had interested him back at the house. Takeshi watched his brother in slight amusement, lightening up a bit with his innocent curiosity taking over. "T'charrl's still down here? Huh, maybe we should find him and ask him to train..." Then again he was probably trying to get some alone time to perfect his powers, something that might not be easy if he had one or more Saiyans flying at him. It would be even if they got the Kaesstrian, but this way they could mix things up a bit, maybe do a three way spar. "Stuff? You mean all the equipment?" Takeshi asked, glancing around. "We're not using any of that so don't worry about it. Unless you know how it works it's pretty pointless, and even then I never liked using them. Nope, how about we just do some good old fashioned training like usual? Push ups, sit ups, curls, a little sparring, the works. That sound good with you two?"

"What works for Saiyans doesn't necessarily mean it'll work for you, unfortunately. It's only a theory your powers even work similarly to ours, there's no guarantee that they actually do." It only made sense they would, his father would have tried to recreate something he was familiar with rather than work from the ground up on something totally new. Viral raised a fair point about his creator too, getting a shrug out of Vegeta in reply. "I don't know why, I'm sure he had his reason though. Maybe he saw you weren't in any major danger and wanted me to figure it out? Or... Maybe he forgot? He's been gone for a bit, it wouldn't be unlikely." His father was after all a bit of a prideful man, even if he didn't show it. He could vaguely recall Aito working countless hours on projects to outdo other scientists and competitors, he always tried to be the best. So to think he might withhold the fact he had forgotten wasn't without merit. So the priority right now was to calm Viral down, and from there they could try and solve this. A bit of deliberating led to an unusual idea, but it was worth a shot anyways. Vegeta gave it only a second's thought before going to the Beastman, beginning to scratch and pet him like a common household cat. It actually worked, he realized, smiling in both satisfaction and amusement. Hearing Viral purr like this was sort of funny. "Relax Viral, we're fixing this," he said calmly, moving a hand to scratch between his shoulder blades. "You need to be calm first."
Takeshi dug himself into a hole and he knew it, and he was becoming extremely flustered as a result. He wasn't into men and neither was Kai, but that didn't stop them from arguing over it. Grumbling incoherently at being called out he flushed at Kai's teasing, folding his arms over his chest and scowling. "It's nothing like that! You're fit, acknowledging that doesn't make me gay though!" Being as tripped up as he was now he hadn't even realized his error in name, blinking for a moment before frowning when it was pointed out. Shoving Kai in the shoulder Takeshi growled slightly, "Shut up! I know the difference between you two knuckleheads! Because ONE of you has a girlfriend and the other doesn't!" Even with that remark however he was still losing face, especially going to Shu for help. He wasn't sure what kind of assistance his little brother could be, the kid probably didn't even understand what it was they were arguing over. Regardless he had asked and was staring at Shu for an answer, demanding he back him up. Rather than offer anything remotely useful Shu sprang backwards, doing a handstand and walking around on his hands. That left his older brother speechless, smacking his own face with an open hand with a lengthy sigh.

"Look, neither of us like guys, that's that. Let's just drop this crap alright?" It wasn't near as fun when it was turned around on him. Besides, they had at last come to one of the training rooms, it was time to stop goofing off. Well, maybe, chances were they weren't going to take their training too seriously still. None of them had even decided on what they were doing yet, they were going into this without a single gosh dang idea in mind. Punching the combination into the doors Takeshi stepped inside first, taking a look around the room. A fair bit of equipment was in this one, all pushed to the sides though to make room for them. Loads of weights and various machines, very few which he recognized. Not the kind of training they usually did anyways, no use in bothering with that junk. "Here we are, a big old empty room just ripe for the picking," Takeshi mused, raising one arm up and folding the other behind it in a stretch. "Ah... So what the hell are we doing anyways? We never did decide on what we were doing down here."

"Rerouting your power is too big an undertaking anyways, so don't worry about that. And you know I don't enjoy being cruel to you. I might have a laugh at your expense once in a while but I would hardly classify that as being sadistic or cruel." Nothing wrong with a friend having a laugh at another friend's expense, that was normal. This was of course a social stigma that Viral probably didn't understand however, as often he was lost on things like this. Rather than explain the whole concept to the Beastman Vegeta just let it slide for now, it wasn't overly important anyways. "Maybe recalling how you looked isn't the way to go anyways. People don't just change by imagining themselves doing so, as far as I'm aware..." Okay, so envisioning what he wanted to be probably wouldn't help Viral, nor would letting him run out of energy. The Beastman seemed very stuck on that idea however. "Exhaustion cannot be your way out of this. What good is a power if you're utterly helpless after using it? Besides, if exhaustion does rend your forms useless then what happens if you tire during a battle? Then you're out of luck."

Exhaustion couldn't be the answer, it seemed almost... Crude for his father's work. There had to be more to it than that, but the two of them weren't having much luck finding out what it was. It didn't help that Viral was so stressed at the moment, he wasn't exactly contributing to the problem at all and made it difficult for Vegeta to think. The first thing to do then would be to calm him down, it had to be. What made Viral calm though? He wasn't fond of hugs, certainly not hugs from a Saiyan. Food only made his control more difficult, and sleeping usually came along with nightmares. Considering he was currently a large feline maybe they were going about this the wrong way. A small smile crept onto his lips then, and wordlessly Vegeta walked over to his friend, leaning over slightly and beginning to scratch under his jaw and by one of his ears. Cats liked this sort of thing, right? Maybe if they could find cat nip on board then Viral would be so mellowed out figuring out this problem would be a snap.
Takeshi still felt the elbow to the ribs was unjustified, he hadn't done anything wrong after all. Not his fault Kai couldn't take a joke, he was being too uptight right now so he was trying to help his friend relax. Maybe a little more would help break this crusty shell Kai had going... Or it might just make him angry. Either way he was going to keep pushing buttons until something happened. All of his friend's aversion to women made it pretty easy to play the "you like men card", which unfortunately only served to blow up in his face immediately afterwards. Now that he was the one being made fun of he wasn't enjoying himself nearly as much. His face a slight red Takeshi glared at Kai, giving a shake of his head before waving his hands dismissively. "I'm not into men either idiot! If I was then why would I have hated it when you got undressed?" he replied, grimacing. The very thought of that, disgusting. The whole Elite argument didn't make a ton of sense despite their time with Saiyans, he didn't see why you had to be an Elite to want to find a girl. "I am NOT kissing Kai, so whatever fantasy you might have get rid of it!" Takeshi shook his head again, looking back at Shu as he pointed to Kai. "Shu, tell him I'm not into men!"

"We don't have much choice on the lighting front I'm afraid. Though... If you feel that's an issue I could probably reroute the power, have your room run on energy from the engine. Then it would be just typical energy, from the fusion drive, not solar. I'm just not entirely certain how I could control the output in that case." One little surge and all the lights in Viral's room could easily blow out, or the sockets short out. On second though rerouting the energy from the engine room was probably a bad idea, best they drop that altogether. They still had to figure out how to change back the Beastman, and not by draining his energy until he did so. There had to be another way. "You don't know what you usually look like...? I know you don't spend all your time in front of a mirror, but... You've got no idea...?" That made things more complicated than they already were. Vegeta had no pictures on his person, he hadn't thought the need to bring any with them. Chances were no one else had pictures either, the only one that might was Yumi. Maybe they should ask her, wherever she had wandered off to that is. Sighing he rubbed at his forehead, closing his eyes in thought. "There has to be another way to change you back... We're just not thinking hard enough."
Kai would be happier if he had someone to keep him company, he obviously wasn't having a lot of fun being alone. Unless he and Shu started dragging the twin around with them Takeshi didn't know what else to even suggest to their friend. "Sure they would! They get to hang out with you and your brother, it's more fun being in a group anyways right? And it's not like the four of you would always be together. Ooooh, unless we can find you a set of twins! Of course that means getting rid of Yumi..." Hm, playing matchmaker was proving to be tricky. He didn't get it, why was Kai so averted to getting a girlfriend? Choi had already done it, so why didn't he do the same? Even more puzzling was the fact that Takeshi needed to elaborate and explain why it was Kai should be looking for someone. Along with a few words he made perhaps a crude gesture, grinning cheekily all the while. For that he got an annoyed look and an elbow to the ribs. "Ow! What was that for!" he grunted, moving his arm and rubbing at the spot he was struck. "Come on Kai, you mean to tell me you don't like... Those? Jeez, why so touchy about the girl subject? Unless..." Takeshi stared at his friend for a silent moment before grinning again, hiding a snicker behind his hand. "Holy crap, you like guys don't you? It makes sense! Undressing in front of us like that, always hanging around guys, it's got to be!" Of course he ignored the flaw in his logic, he was always around guys as well. Eh, logic, he was having fun now. "Just when you think you know a guy..."

Vegeta took the liberty of opening the door for Viral, not wanting a repeat of the elevator incident. Letting the Beastman in first he followed suit, keeping by the door in case he had to step out if the man changed back abruptly. Being that big in this small a room was rather inconvenient, Viral's head nearly reached the ceiling as he stood upright. Good thing there were no hanging lights, otherwise they might have a mess on their hands. "You seem to have your mind at the moment, considering you're coherent. And as I said, the exhaustion route will obviously work, but we can't hope to work you to the bone every time you change, its impractical." There was another way, he was certain of it, they just hadn't discovered it yet. It only made sense, otherwise it would be a glaring issue in his father's design, and that just wasn't something he thought possible. Watching Viral take a seat awkwardly Vegeta smiled slightly, finding the sight a bit amusing. "Maybe all it comes down to is willpower? If you focus on yourself and your usual form then you can just change back? Draw your power back in or try to suppress it. That's how Saiyans operate, and I'd figure that you were built similarly, it'd make sense that my father would work with what he knows, being Saiyans."
