Vegeta really didn't want to resort to a prototype, there was no telling what may happen. He knew what should happen, but until it was tested it was all theory. Seeing how out of control the situation had become though he knew he had to use it, being their only option now. In order to use his invention it meant getting close to Viral, and in the Beastman's state that was anything but ideal. To do it safely he'd have to be quick, linger and it might result in him being attacked. Dashing right at his twisted friend he placed the device on his chest, letting the tool do the rest. Once it had secured itself on Viral's person Vegeta moved away, standing at a safe distance to observe. The light coming on was a good sign, as was his figure gradually changing back. Unfortunately it wasn't a true fix, Viral still exhibited some features of his other forms. He appeared exhausted now, whether that was due to his energy running out on its own or the device it was hard to say for certain. Most importantly was that he had been changed back enough to calm him down, now he'd be manageable. Still... Viral was in bad condition, enough so that he was barely staying up. Vegeta needed no more than the sight of his friend as prompt to go over, Yumi doing the same as each of them tried to take one of his arms for support. "Just hang on Viral, we've got you. You're going to be fine," he said, smiling uncertainly. Hopefully that was true, there was no certainty as to what had happened.

Takeshi was utterly beside himself despite witnessing the whole thing, still sitting up in the air. What the hell had Vegeta put on Viral? And why hadn't he changed back to himself now? This whole mission had just turned into one big headache, not unlike their last one on Shaharia. It would be nice to have a job be straightforward for once. Complaints aside the Saiyan was relieved his friend was okay, now that the others were here things would work out just fine. There was concern though for how the Narbu were going to take this, considering the ten minute mark hadn't even passed yet. Glancing over at the Chieftain he watched as the guy went back to his four men, talking to them by the looks of it. So were they deciding what had come of their duel then? If they got sent away empty handed after all of this it was going to be a real pain. Sighing softly Takeshi looked back at his burned palms, wincing as he touched the skin on his hands. Some bandages wouldn't be a half bad idea, and some aloe. As he glanced back at the ship he spotted Shu over by it as well, bouncing up and down for goodness knows what reason. Curious, Takeshi flew over to his younger brother, setting down right in front of him with a smile. "What are you hopping for? You a rabbit now?" he teased, giving his brother a quick look over. Good, he was unharmed, that was a relief.

Their duel had come to a close it seemed, and well before the time had expired. The Chieftain wasn't thrilled with the outcome, it wasn't a fitting end for such a momentous decision. Since no clear victor could be declared it was difficult to determine if they were going to be joining or not as well. For what it was worth Viral had managed to stay in the fight even after sustaining some blows, that was commendable. Giving the benefit of the doubt it was safe to say the Beastman would have made it the entire duration, probably changing yet again in the process. The deal behind those transformations was an utter mystery to himself and his men, none of them were familiar with it. The manner in which Viral's friends had responded to it didn't bode well, and the erratic energy he'd been giving off was reason enough to be uneasy about it. It had ended well enough, the Chieftain determined, given the circumstances. Viral didn't seem well, it would be improper to expect the fight to continue. Stepping away from his men he approached Yumi and Vegeta, glancing down at Viral with a faint smile.

"Good fight, dar'um, your strength is commendable. I feel though that was not your best, that something may have been holding you back. Sou hestia gal, brok dam ta, perhaps some time we can have a rematch, I would like to see your true strength someday." That meant of course welcoming them back, which he figured was conveyed in those words. If Viral could prove that this fight wasn't a fluke then the Chieftain was more than happy to duel him again. "That is a strange piece of technology you have there, pup. Though I would expect no less from a Saiyan." Both intriguing and a bit off-putting, that device. Something that could both bind and sedate a warrior, it was unlike anything he'd seen before. Certainly useful for restraining someone, however dishonorable that might be. An unfitting way for Viral to be taken away, though perhaps for the best considering what had transpired.

Vegeta was a bit on edge with the Chieftain approaching, half expecting some kind of angry outburst or threat. Hard to say he was disappointed when the Narbu simply came over to speak to Viral, sort of, and exchange pleasantries. That was a welcome relief, he was not in the mood to fight, not in the cold out here like this. Speaking of, standing around as they were was becoming properly miserable, his body was shaking now and he was certain he heard his own teeth chattering. "Saiyan...? Only by heritage, don't classify me as one of those brutes," he replied, a bit defensive on the subject. "And it's just an energy damper, I'm actually surprised it worked too. I think it drew too much power from him though..." It was intended to weaken, not outright deplete energy. Some tweaks would have to be made, a couple adjustments here and there in the algorithm and it ought to do just what he wanted. A big shiver wracked Vegeta's body, making him shake visibly before sighing. This cold was properly dreadful.

"Interesting... I did not think such a thing was possible," the Chieftain remarked, eying the device on Viral's chest. He was not very much into technology himself, it was a hassle and unnecessary. But inventions like these were far and few between, even someone like him could appreciate the work. Seeing Vegeta's shuddering the Narbu smiled amused, "Saiyans are not built for the cold, as I remember. Hence the pups being bundled up," he said, laughing in what sounded like a lighthearted growl. "Come, we will bring you all inside, let you warm around a fire. It would be unjust to send you all back without some hospitality, [i]ir lok ar mal[/]." The community building would work well, and it was a short ways away, in view even from where they stood now. "Come, we will bring you there." the Cheiftain added, turning and beginning to walk into the village, his four subordinates following suit.

Vegeta was about to protest going along when the Chieftain asked for them to follow. The shuttle was right there, and their ship was waiting for them, they really didn't need this. Then again they had come here for the purpose of negotiating an alliance, leaving now would be a bit daft as they would just have to come back again to talk. Looking to Yumi he nodded his head, adjusting Viral carefully on his shoulder. "Just hang on a little longer Viral, we'll get you back in no time." he said, smiling reassuringly. Turning his head then over his shoulder he called back to the two brothers, "Come on you two! We're going inside!" And out of this gods forsaken cold. Stepping in time with Yumi he began to help carry Viral along, following after the Narbu.
Yumi had never seen Viral like this before, caught between two transformations as he was. It was one or the other, for him to be like this must mean something was seriously wrong. It didn't help that he looked to be in pain either, those certainly weren't all just angry sounds he was making. All the more reason for her to get to work then, find a way to help. The bite of the cold did little to stop her from advancing, nor did the risk of being attacked. With her eyes locked on the Beastman's disfigured form she slowly approached, a kind smile on her face as she drew closer. So long as she didn't convey that she was a threat things would be fine, that's how it always had worked. "Viral? If you can hear me, everything is going to be okay now. I'm here to help you, alright?" Her voice had done the trick in the past in sparking some sort of recognition. It took a few moments, but that looked to be the case again as Viral acknowledged her with a glance. Even if he did truly recognize her however he was in no position to be speaking or saying so, being in too much pain to do much of anything. It broke her heart watching him suffer like this, but his current situation paled compared to what was coming next.

As if holding two forms at once wasn't enough Viral appeared to be taking on a third. A sudden protrusion from his arm made Yumi stop in her tracks, watching on in silent horror. A second one mirrored the first, being gray in color and looking quite coarse. Large as well, just what form did these belong to? Nothing she had ever seen, that was for sure. A third and final fin sprouted up from Viral's back, giving him the appearance almost of some kind of shark. Evidently this was all too much for her friend, as soon after those appendages sprouted the Beastman collapsed, barely keeping himself up as he lurched over, falling to his knees. At this rate there was no telling what might happen, if he could continue to change or not. Yumi worried now that if he changed and ran out of energy he could end up in a very bad way, they had to stop it before that happened. "Vegeta! Do something!" she yelled, looking back at the ship. "He's going to hurt himself! Help him!" She couldn't talk him down, she was convinced of that now. Hopefully her friend had something to relieve Viral.

Being out in the frigid cold was a far cry from the typical luxuries Vegeta enjoyed. Nothing like being utterly miserable to make you yearn for the cushy life you typically hated. Enough bellyaching on his part though, he was here for a reason, not to enjoy himself. Viral needed his help desperately, and Yumi sounded like she agreed with that. If she couldn't do anything for the Beastman than things were worse than he'd anticipated. Unfortunately he had little in the way of aid, save for one prototype he had developed. It had never been used before, certainly not in a situation like this. He supposed there was never a better time to test a technology than in a real life situation, he might as well give it a go. Turning back to the ship he jogged over, taking into the vessel again graciously. Rather than relax like he'd want to he went to the cockpit, grabbing a small container he had brought along. Inside was perhaps the solution to Viral's woes, if it worked. With his device in hand Vegeta rushed back outside, looking to Viral and Yumi uncertainly. The Beastman was too busy with his pain to bother noticing him, so he should be able to approach and work with no problem.

To properly use this device it had to be fastened to Viral. Considering his current state he wouldn't appreciate someone sticking something to him, so Vegeta would have to be quick about it. Rather than walking over as Yumi had done he sprinted, dashing along and coming to a halt just before Viral. With the Beastman's large size he stood just about at shoulder height, with Viral on his knees. With any luck the device would work as intended and he wasn't just putting himself in harm's way. Pushing the device through the gap in Viral's arms he pressed it against the Beastman's chest, and with a twist of his wrist the device made a clicking sound. After that noise four cords sprung out from the corners, shooting out and coming around Viral's form, meeting in the back and criss-crossing, latching onto one another in the process. With the cords attached Vegeta jumped away for safety's sake, watching his tool go to work. The display on the front lit up, showing the device was indeed activated, a good sign. It would be hard to know immediately if it was working, but now that it was attached it should begin to suppress Viral's power. It would draw out his friend's energy and sap it, storing it inside of the device itself for later. If done right it would remove enough power to make Viral change back but leave him unharmed. If it drew too much... Hopefully it didn't draw too much.
Just what in the hell had Viral become? This was nothing like what he'd been before, this form was completely new. It looked like he was stuck between two transformations, as if his body couldn't decide which one to go with. The only certainty was that his mind was utterly gone at the moment, evident by his thrashing and erratic movements. Talking him down from this, or even bringing him down in general was going to be a massive undertaking. Not deterred by that Yumi moved out to the door, prying it open and bracing against the cold as she stared down at her friend below. "Viral! It's going to be okay! We're here to help you!" she shouted, loud enough so her voice carried over the wind. Immediately there was a sign that he recognized her voice, his head lifted up to face them. Hope however turned to dread when energy was gathered, and quite a fair bit of it too. Eyes widening in realization she looked back at Vegeta inside the shuttle, "Move the ship! He's going to fire!" And no sooner had the words left her lips did the Beastman do just that, releasing a hefty blast right at their vessel.

Damn it, what in the hell was Viral thinking? Attacking all of them like that, he really had lost his mind. Takeshi didn't know if even Yumi and Vegeta could help him now, it would be a miracle if either got through to him. It was hard to be optimistic too considering what was happening right this very moment. Yumi's shocking revelation put everyone on edge, and Vegeta tried to quickly follow her request. The shuttle was not as swift as it could be though, there was no way they could move in time. Cursing under his breath the Saiyan pushed past Yumi, moving in a blur as he got outside the ship. Putting himself between the blast and shuttle he held out his hands, bracing as the energy slammed into his palms. Damn it was hot! It was like placing your hand on top of a hot oven, it was a real pain. Wincing loudly from the burning Takeshi raised both arms, dragging the blast with it and sending it careening overhead, watching as it exploded finally a ways above. Crisis averted for now, damn that was close. His hands stung like all hell, and glancing down at them he saw they were burned raw and bloody, the outermost skin being burned nearly all away. Fun way to start this rescue operation of theirs.

"We can't stay in the air, we're just a target," Vegeta remarked, frowning as he looked down at Viral. "Hang on, we're landing." Yumi was the only one in the shuttle now, and after warning her of his plan he shifted the thrusters, easing off of the throttle as the shuttle quickly descended to the ground. It was anything but a smooth landing, the ship bounced a bit from the impact and it jostled the contents inside, but they were out of the air. Now at least if the ship was blasted they might not crash. To think Viral would fire at them, at Yumi, that was very troubling. He'd always succumbed and relaxed whenever Yumi had gotten involved, but now even she was a target. Shutting down the engines Vegeta got up out of his seat, heading towards the door himself. Damn it was cold, they should have brought some kind of protection. Where he was deterred by the frigid air his friend was not, and once more she took the initiative, stepping past him and going outside. Groaning inwardly Vegeta followed suit, gasping as his skin was assaulted by the cold.

This was properly miserable weather. It was like being back on Corgan's mountain, only this time without any gear to keep them warm. Yumi stepped outside not without reservations, immediately wanting to get back into the shuttle to hide from the cold. Viral was out here though, he needed her help. She couldn't worry about herself right now, not with one of her friends in such a bad way. Shuddering uncomfortably she wrapped her arms around herself, looking ahead at the Beastman. "Viral... You have to calm down. No one here is going to hurt you," she called, slowly approaching him. "I know you can hear me, remember who I am, and who you are. This isn't you and you know it." That knack she seemed to have for calming people, she really wished she knew how to do that right now. At best all she could hope for was that her voice would trigger something, maybe enough to bring Viral back to them. As she got closer Yumi reached a hand out, smiling kindly as she did so. "I'm here to help you, Viral. Everything is going to be okay."
The only way to fight Viral now was through energy, until a way was figured out to engage him safely up close. The Chieftain had his reservations about using energy initially, but since his opponent had done so he figured that option was on the table now. In trying to drive back the Beastman with a powerful blast of his own he frowned as it was met with an equal blast, the resulting collision baking a good area in a heavy heat. If they kept doing this so close to the homes then something was bound to be damaged, and his people may be in danger. He wouldn't call it off, but the Narbu was going to take precautions to keep bystanders out of the fray. Figuring he'd be pursued the Chieftain jumped away from their makeshift arena, making huge bounds away until they were deeper into the basin and a fair ways from any structures. Sure enough Viral followed in pursuit, and with a vicious enthusiasm it seemed. Not only had his appearance changed then but so had the man's mentality, he was a completely different fighter. It may be best to simply end this battle now and put and end to things before they escalated out of control. The Saiyans would likely be upset, but it was a small matter compared to the safety of his people.

Having transformed twice already the Chieftain was vaguely familiar with the signs of an oncoming change by now. So when Viral began to shake once more he braced for what might be coming, having no idea what they could be facing now. It wasn't a new form, not entirely anyways. Rather than change shape completely it looked as though the Beastman was caught in between two states, neither the feline nor the dragon. Whatever had caused this appeared to be causing quite a lot of pain for Viral as well, his angry roars replaced with yelps and shouts. Honor said not to battle an opponent like this, there was no pride in beating someone who was falling like this. The fact that he still may be a threat however remained, they couldn't leave him be and hope it would turn out for the best. Staring down Viral for a moment of contemplation the Narbu slowly moved forward, sizing up how best to approach this. Seeing little other option he dashed suddenly at Viral, reaching out to grab hold of his opponent around his midsection. If successful he would lift up Viral before slamming him onto the ground, trying to then pin him and prevent him from moving, hoping perhaps his energy might deplete sooner or later.

For Takeshi to have come back as he did, sounding as worried as he had, it didn't bode well. Just what in the world was happening with Viral? More pressingly Vegeta had to wonder why the brothers had allowed Viral to fight in the first place. Though, knowing the Beastman he had likely opted for himself to fight, and the others went along just to placate him. "Damn it... He shouldn't be battling, not right now..." Not after he'd been enlightened by Takeshi prior about their hiccup during training. It had raised all sorts of red flags and only spurred on Vegeta's desire to solve the problem of Viral's changes. Even while tutoring T'charrl his mind was devoted mostly to that issue, a fact he had apologized for numerous times with the Kaesstrian. Glancing over at Yumi momentarily he saw the look of worry on her face plain as day, she was greatly concerned as well. If they were to help Viral they were going to have to bring him down from his high, something that was never easy, even for the two of them.

By following Takeshi's directions and heading south it took no time at all with the shuttle to reach the basin. Vegeta may have flown over it entirely if he hadn't picked up on Shu's energy. From their altitude he could just barely make out the shapes of those down below, figuring the pair brawling to be Viral and the Narbu he was engaged with. Wasting no time then he dropped the ship straight down, the sounds of roaring engines likely announcing their presence. Since there was a fight going on and Viral was questionable at best Vegeta kept their distance for now, not wanting to be caught in the crossfire and risk losing the ship. He and Yumi were not prepared for being out here, it would really suck if they lost the vehicle and had to walk back. "Okay, listen you two. Viral's aggression is extremely high right now, and there's no guarantee that he'll respond to a familiar face or voice. So, if it comes down to it, I'll need you two to help me restrain him. I can get him to revert, but only if I can get close enough." His research hadn't been completely fruitless, he had some good theories about managing the forms. Really they were only that, theories, but it was better than nothing. The sound of a chair squeaking as someone rose made him turn to his side, surprised to see Yumi going into the back of the ship. "Where are you going Yumi?"

They might have to end up restraining Viral, but only as a last ditch effort. Yumi wasn't content with using force, it wasn't the way to get through to the Beastman. She had brought him down from a change before, so she was confident she could do it again, even if things might be different. Ignoring Vegeta's question she moved past Takeshi, grabbing the handle of the door and throwing it open. It was certainly cold out, and near instantly a gust of wind greeted them, making her body break out in goosebumps and shivers. Ignoring her slight discomfort Yumi looked down at the struggling pair, worried that if they didn't act soon either the Narbu or Viral were going to get seriously hurt. Holding onto either side of the door she leaned out, shouting loudly to be heard below, "Viral! Viral it's me, Yumi! You're okay, you can calm down!" If he looked up then he acknowledged her, that was a start. If not then she'd leave the ship and go down there, maybe getting close would help things.
Getting close to Viral like this was risky right now, particularly with that unorthodox energy. The best bet was to avoid direct contact and keep his distance, at least until that erratic spurting died off. With Ki in each paw the Chieftain clumped both orbs into one, hurling it overhead at the Beastman. Not quite anticipating the counterattack the Narbu got ready to fend off an energy blast, instead shielding his face as the two masses collided, exploding on contact. It was a mixture of heat and pressure, further stripping the area of its natural snow and ice cover. When the blast subsided a decent sized area of about 20 meters in diameter was now stripped to the ground. The sheer temperature of Viral's attacks was stunning, and highly irregular. Just what kind of power was it that he possessed? The scale of their attacks was gradually rising, he realized, and the middle of a settlement was not a place to do this. Frowning the Chieftain looked over at the Beastman, not taking his showing as a sign that he was under duress. "If we are using energy, we must move away from the others. I will not jeopardize my people." This was not their fight, and frankly at this point the Chieftain doubted anyone else could battle Viral and survive. Leaping away from his opponent he moved further out of the town, deeper into the basin to give them more space.

This was taking too long, just where were Vegeta and Yumi? There was no telling what the situation with the Narbu was, or how Viral was faring. Or Shu for that matter, he could end up caught in the crossfire. The three of them had to get back to the fight before something really bad happened and someone got hurt, or worse. Tapping his foot impatiently Takeshi looked out the open doors, stepping around the ship as he felt a sudden burst of energy. Damn, they were fighting with Ki now? Just what was Viral doing to force the Chieftain into using energy? Behind him the sound of sliding doors made him turn back, finally spotting his friends. "It's about time! Things are getting really bad out there!" he said, stepping over as he gestured, "Viral's changed again, and he's fighting the natives! You two have to help him!":

Being pulled away from T'charrl's lessons was bothersome, they were making some real progress. But the revelation of what was happening justified it, Vegeta quickly forgot his grievances. Looking at Takeshi uncertainly he too felt a small burst in energy, not recognizing the Ki signature as anyone they knew. "How did he change though...?" he mumbled, frowning as he rubbed at his head. "We went through all the drills, he even has his feline form sorted out. Unless... Is he in a different form now?"

"Yeah, that big lizard one, the one he turned into the last time we were here." Takeshi replied, frowning.

"And he killed people last time we were here!" Yumi interjected, moving towards the open hangar doors, "We've got to go stop him!"

Vegeta reached out and grabbed Yumi's arm, shaking his head as she looked back at him. "In the shuttle, we're going to need it to transport him anyways. We're going to need some medical supplies probably, I'm sure there's going to be injuries. And something in the way of clothing for Viral."

Takeshi walked back over to the door of the shuttle, opening it up for the others. "I got some medicine and stuff in there already, and there's heavy blankets, better than nothing right?"

A very impromptu outing, luckily they were at least prepared. Nodding gratefully, Vegeta went into the ship first, heading immediately for the controls. Not having been used for a little while he had to let the engines come to life, hastily going through a check while he waited for that. Yumi took the co-pilot seat beside him, and Takeshi remained standing in the back, holding onto some netting for support. Soon as the engines had properly fired up Vegeta raised the shuttle up, and with a push of the throttle it lurched forward, darting off out of the hangar. "Which way Takeshi?"

"Just head south, it's pretty much straight ahead. In a big canyon, you can't miss it."
The Chieftain was surprised by how much stronger his opponent had become, Viral truly possessed some immense power now. Enough so to the point that he was nearly overpowered physically, something very few of their kind could do. And then there was that energy of his too, that was another problem entirely. The duel had gone from an almost playful atmosphere to a much more serious one, there was a real threat of being injured now. Managing to bring the Beastman's charge to a halt was a hollow win as the Chieftain was forced to run away to avoid an attack. With his paws around Viral's horns he threw the Beastman's head aside, throwing his aim off in the progress as he moved back. That bought a fraction of a second as he was beset upon once more, Viral coming at him with vicious swipes. Between those and dodging being skewered by the horns he was having to move too much, it was nigh impossible to land any attacks of his own. Since physical attacks wouldn't work he would have to use Ki. Gathering a bit of energy in his paws the Narbu mashed them together, making a larger orb that he lifted overhead before hurling it at his opponent.

The other Narbu weren't entirely certain what they should be doing now. It was not lost on them either how much stronger Viral had become, and there was some real concern for the safety of their leader. Custom dictated that interfering with a duel was prohibited, and the time for their match had yet to run out. Yet seeing the Beastman's power spike out of control, was it even safe to allow this to continue? The Saiyans seemed to think not, one of them had run off for some reason, leaving the younger one behind. Even he sounded concerned, trying to call them away from the fight. Doing so meant leaving the Chieftain by himself, and he may invariably need their help. They couldn't allow their leader to be injured, or worse, they had to stay and protect him. Even if it meant throwing themselves into danger in the process. In spite of Shu's pleas then not a single one of the Narbu moved, all looking back intently at the fray between them. A few put their paws on various weapons they carried, looking more than ready to jump in at a moment's notice. If it came down to their leader's safety and that of his opponent the former would come first, the latter could die far as they were concerned.

Takeshi didn't know quite how fast he had flown, but within moments of taking off the ship was back in view again. The door was closed unfortunately, so he'd have to go through the trouble of getting it open. Cussing in annoyance he descended quickly, hovering just above the snow as he floated to the access panel. Relieved it had not frozen over he awkwardly manipulated the buttons with his gloved fingers, finally managing to open up a line through to the bridge. "Hey! Send Vegeta and Yumi down to the hangar, now! It's important!" he shouted, probably screaming a bit loud for the poor crew inside. "And open the damn doors, I'm freezing out here!" That little bit ought to tell them precisely who it was too, no need to identify himself. Moving back a bit he waited and watched as the doors worked their way apart, clumps of snow and ice falling free as a result. Moving right on inside he landed beside the shuttle, shivering at the change of temperature now that he was out of the weather. They should be here soon, he might as well start getting things ready. Tracking snow all around he started to try and stock the ship, checking first for medical supplies, having to borrow more from the container by the control room as he had before. Tucking that away in the rear of the shuttle he went back to standing by it, waiting impatiently for the others.
This form was different, it was far more intimidating. Far and few things between could compare to facing Viral right now, it was both nervous and exciting. The sheer size of the Beastman, and the power he was exuding. Even if there was no detectable energy the Chieftain knew how strong his opponent was now, he could feel Viral's strength. It was like an invisible force pushing down on him, stronger than the gravity of any planet he'd ever been on. Despite the warnings of the Saiyans he refused to back down, not when things were looking rather promising. To try and bridge the gap and keep himself in the battle the Narbu began to channel his own Ki, a trick gifted to him by the Saiyans. His white fur glowed with a faint hue as it stood up on end, his body becoming more defined in its musculature. "Haru gas no lok tar, show me your power, Viral!" And that he did, quite willingly. Bracing as he was charged at the Chieftain held out his arms, grinning as he was collided into. Managing to grab the horns and slow the Beastman's progress some he found himself sliding backwards, straining under the force of trying to keep from being trampled. With a roar of effort he slammed down a foot into the ground, managing to at last halt himself. Just as he had however the Chieftain had to block a blow and move off, avoiding a set of nasty looking claws.

"I don't care if he meant to or not, he's going to kill these guys! I'm going to get help!" Vegeta or Yumi were needed now, someone who actually knew how to get through to Viral. If he and Shu tried it they would only make things worse at this point. "Be safe. If he comes after you, run. Don't fight him." Even if it meant letting the Narbu take the full brunt of their friend's fury. Takeshi would rather some aliens be harmed than his brother, selfish as that may be. Turning around he ran across the open basin, taking off into the air and soaring away. The ship wasn't all that far, if he moved quick he could get there and back within minutes. By then that challenge of theirs would be over, but somehow he figured that bit was out the window now. Viral would have no idea, and the Chieftain would be far too busy to even pay attention. Squinting against the cold wind and low lighting Takeshi pushed himself on, rushing ever closer to their ship.
Contending with Viral's more lethal claws was going to be a tricky business, but the Chieftain was willing to undertake that task. A more dangerous fight was a more exciting one, and goodness knows he could use some excitement. Watching warily he raised his arms to meet the Beastman's assault, catching both arms quickly as they were thrown at him. Smiling triumphantly the Narbu then threw Viral over his back and onto the ground, putting distance between himself and the Beastman. He would need that gap for his counterattack, a cork-screw rush that would turn him into quite the projectile. With all the horns on his person he could easily shred someone up, but for this matter he was careful to only use blunt force. The attack hit, and in doing so looked to do quite a bit to Viral. Stopping some meters away the Chieftain grinned, expecting his opponent to give in after that. Not only did Viral not relent, but he changed for a second time. Something about this form was different than the one before too, it felt more primal. Energy spikes became more erratic and stronger as well. "Now this is a fight! This must be your true power, gor il malsk! Let's end on a high note!"

The Narbu had no idea what they were getting themselves into now. It was far too dangerous to fight like this, with Viral losing control of his power. He was too strong in this form, and having no inhibitions he could really hurt someone. The fact the Chieftain was so willing to fight only served to worry Takeshi even more, the guy had no idea what was going on. They should get help, either Vegeta or Yumi. Or maybe both. "I know! I know! Damn it, why did he change?" Was getting hit making him change? That didn't make a lot of sense though, that would mean Viral would be changing when he trained with Vegeta. Something was up, and whatever it was it wasn't good. Looking over at Shu then back to their friend Takeshi groaned inwardly, clenching his hands into fists out of frustration. "Damn it... Shu, be careful. I'm going to get them, stay safe until I get back." They couldn't both go, leaving Viral with these guys would probably result in one if not all of them being killed. They had to get help and couldn't waste time debating on who was going. Giving his sibling a worried glance he turned around, running off before going into the air and flying away as quickly as he could. Hopefully he could return before it was too late.
The Chieftain wasn't going to back down, even with this new energy coming to the surface. It was dangerous and potent, but he refused to let himself be dissuaded. Too much was on the line here for this duel, he couldn't afford to back down for anything. Besides, minor burns were scarcely going to bring him down, they were as damaging as the scratches he'd sustained earlier. Curiously enough a sudden burst of energy wasn't the only thing that had happened in the last few moments. Viral had transformed, by the looks of it, into something the Narbu didn't recognize. Had he not known the fighter beforehand he wouldn't know any better, this had him greatly curious. That blasted Saiyan though, coming over and trying to back his friend out of the duel. Was there something to be concerned of with this change then? Bah, it didn't matter. "Hold your tongue pup. You're insulting me by saying we should stop, as though I fear Viral," the Chieftain spoke, looking back at the Beastman. As he'd expected Viral had no intention of backing down either, they were going to carry on through this fight of theirs no matter what.

The situation had become a bit more complicated than the Chieftain had bargained for. Viral now possessed greater speed and strength most likely, and top it all off that meddlesome energy of his was causing problems. Nothing was a bigger threat than a wild animal that could be calculating and methodical, which was what the Beastman had essentially become. Staring down the other man he watched as Viral jumped into the air, coming down with his claws swinging, looking for blood. Lifting his arms up overhead he didn't block the swipes, but rather caught Viral on his forearms, keeping him high enough to avoid being scratched anywhere important. With a grunt of effort he threw the Beastman behind him, spinning around as he did so. Hunching down again the Chieftain slammed his arms into the ground, and with a push drove forward again, stretching himself out like a bullet and twisting in mid air as he jumped, giving the illusion of a rotating projectile.

Damn it, Viral shouldn't be fighting right now. He was changing, or had changed, and that was never a good sign. There was no way of knowing if he would be able to control himself now, Vegeta had kept their training private so no one really knew. From what he heard their friend sounded lucid enough, though his energy was definitely spiking. If the Chieftain knew what he was up against perhaps he'd be more cautious, but the Narbu went right on ahead with their duel. "Should we get Vegeta...? Or Yumi...?" Takeshi asked himself, backing off a bit. One of them could definitely talk Viral down, he and Shu were sort of useless in that regard. Viral went right back on into it, throwing himself at the Chieftain in an unusually careless attack for him. It was blocked, and with their friend aside the Narbu went on the attack, throwing himself at Viral in turn in some strange maneuvers. "Viral! You've got to stop!"
This wasn't just Viral using energy, not willingly anyways. It almost looked to be trying to escape from his body. Why in the world would that be happening though? The fact that he expended enough energy and heat to melt away layers of thick ice was a bit unsettling, his power always was unusually hot. If this continued Takeshi worried this pit in his stomach would come to fruition, and something bad would happen. Either to Viral or the Chieftain, he didn't know, but something bad definitely was coming. "We should stop it now... Before it gets worse..." Like Shu he knew full well their friend would get angry if they interfered. Considering what was happening though they didn't have much choice, it was too risky to let it go on. Hopefully doing this wasn't going to fly in the face of some random Narbu custom and label them as heretics or some nonsense. Easing Shu back a bit, Takeshi started to walk towards the pair, smiling nervously as he approached Viral. "Hey, Viral? Uh... You should sit down for a minute and relax. We can probably put this fight on hold for now," he said, looking over at the Chieftain, "Uh... Right?"

This energy was different than what Saiyans used. Hotter, more concentrated, just what was it? If this was going to be the pace of their fight now then he would have to mind the energy. Looking over his burned fur and skin the Chieftain smiled, wiping himself down as tufts of hair fell off of his body. That energy was still pouring off of the Beastman, perhaps he wasn't able to control it. Curious, was he trying to get an edge by using his power? "You are not the only one who possesses energy, dar'um. Let us see who is better." Between his two paws the Narbu began to gather up energy, a variation of Ki. He may not be able to burn Viral like he had the Chieftain, but this should do something. Prior to even releasing the blast however that pup came over to interfere, trying to call off the fight for a moment. To have someone get in the middle of a duel was highly unusual, and he sounded to be concerned for Viral. Lowering his paws the Narbu frowned, sniffing in annoyance. "It is only a short duel, why take a break?" he asked, looking over at Viral. "If you agree with the pup then you forfeit, is that what you desire?"
