"People must be shown who is in charge! Being part of the military..." Yusef paused, trying to push his blades through to T'charrl.

"I'd think you would understand! Only through gaining and using power can we ensure our future and safety!"

There was really no helping the general at this point, he was utterly subscribed to his own lunacy. No one, certainly not the child of his greatest enemy was going to talk him down from this. The fact that a Saiyan was taking up arms against him didn't waver that either. Speaking of the Saiyan, he seemed to want a part in the battle as well. Ramming the general away from the Prince he tried to immobilize the Kaesstrian, opting for a strong kick to do just that. It was avoided, albeit barely, and as a parting gift he tossed a poisoned knife Kabocha's way. The blade missed, narrowly, and another brief reprieve was taken in the battle.

"I can control the power because I am strong enough," Yusef reaffirmed, raising his swords. "I will admit there are mysteries to your power, but those will be learned in due time. We're on the precipice now of achieving something entirely new! A new generation of Kaesstrian super soldiers! And I will not have that ruined by you!"

Again the general went on the offensive, trying to bring down T'charrl first and foremost. Raising his right arm up over his head Yusef brought his sword down hard, yet despite the force behind it he was blocked again. With a snide smile however he firmed his grip on the dagger, thrusting forward to try and pierce the younger Kaesstrian's abdomen. This too was blocked with a hasty push of his arm, though as a result T'charrl stumbled and fell to the side in a bit of scrap.

"You cannot beat me, you must know this. I did not achieve my rank due to inheritance or bribery," the general said, pausing briefly as he raised both weapons. "I earned it on merit alone! Through blood and toil! There is not a single Kaesstrian alive who can best me!"

In his brief spout of supposed superiority the general got ahead of himself and completely forgot about the Saiyan in the room. Taking advantage of his surprising lapse of awareness Kabocha attacked, using his speed to get right up behind Yusef. Moving fast enough the alien scarcely had time to register where the boy was, turning his head as he was kicked in the side and sent flying once more, this time crashing into the table that held the beakers and vials. The glass shattered to the floor around Yusef, a few spilling and the remaining intact containers rolling every which way. It took him a moment to realize what had happened, and when he did the general looked positively alarmed.

"No... No... My research...!" Yusef mumbled, his tone laced with worry.

On his hands and knees he left his weapons laying where they had landed, trying to gather up the contents. It was a rather sorry sight, he seemed in a proper mess with what had happened. One by one he picked up the containers, or what ones were left. A few had minute amounts of liquid in them still, but probably not enough to do anything with. He paid little heed to Kabocha as the Saiyan helped T'charrl to his feet, too busy with the items in hand. Months of research, gone just like that. There were samples elsewhere, but this was by far the most complete of them. He'd have to gather everything again, conduct tests to find the perfect volume of each material... It was going to take ages.

Kabocha eased T'charrl back onto his feet, quickly checking the Kaesstrian for wounds before breathing a sigh of relief. If anything happened to the kid then that nasty Queen was going to skin them alive, he was fairly certain of it. Save for perhaps a skinned knee he was okay, nothing to cause alarm. Positive the Prince didn't need to be babied partially turned his body, his head swiveling to look at the general. He was still busy crying over his chemistry set. What was in those anyways?

"Are you done yet?" Kabocha asked testily, frowning at Yusef. "I'm getting really tired of this. How many times do I have to hit you until you stay down?"

"You... You damn alien..." Yusef almost growled as he spoke, still staring at his beakers. "I'm going to kill you... You and that damned Prince! Then I'll raze his entire city! And finish off the rest of your friends to boot!"

Losing all of his work had left him rather... Miffed. Setting down the remnants of his items he grabbed up his blades again, reaching into his vest as well and pulling out throwing knives. With four in total he tossed each out at once with a flick of his wrists, sending them flying in a horizontal arc at the two boys. He rose to one knee shortly after, pushing himself off the ground and rushing them with surprising speed, drawing both blades back to make horizontal cuts when he got close enough.
Hanta would normally have made more effort to console Komada, but he was having enough trouble with himself. Feasibly anyone could have tried to help that player, but would any of them made it in time? As guilty as he felt he also slowly came to recognize he'd probably have met the same fate, especially if he'd gone it alone. "It's not your fault, Shiemi..." he mumbled, using her real name instead, "Don't blame yourself, please." So much for an enjoyable day between two friends. His whole body feeling numb Hanta went back into town with his friend, neither saying a single word on the walk back. Izumo may have been the only one to voice his opinion on the matter, but it sure felt like all eyes were on him for messing up right now. He just wanted to slink away to the inn for the rest of the day and lie in bed, the desire to do much else fading fairly quickly from him. Thankfully Komada was on the same page as nether of them were too keen on going out after this. Tucking their tails between their legs the two friends went back to their residence, settling down after a little while for supper. A warm meal didn't serve to ease tensions unfortunately, and Hanta frankly had little to no appetite as a result of earlier. Just for the sake of something to do other then dwell on somber thoughts he forced himself to eat the entire meal, not feeling terribly well after the fact. Once the tab had been paid they left the restaurant, spirits still downtrodden and their outlooks bleak. It was only one death, Hanta told himself, and it had him so crushed. How were they going to make it through a game that could demoralize them like this?

"You want to... Leave?" The silence of their walk was broken by a rather surprising suggestion on Komada's part, one that Hanta wasn't so sure he liked. He wasn't sure if he'd call the Town of Beginnings scary, though depressing would fit. There were a fair amount of people still here, but there had been talk of attending a field boss battle soon to move on ahead. The idea of moving forward in of itself was appealing, but as to what they had to do made him rather tentative. If they were to take part in the battle then Komada would be in a great amount of danger, and conversely Hanta wasn't terribly pleased with letting other people risk themselves just so they could move ahead. Hearing her out he smiled sympathetically, shaking his head as he reached over and put a hand on her back ."It's not selfish, you just want to help. Nothing selfish about that," he replied, taking his hand back and sliding it in his pocket. "Tomorrow morning how about we look into the group planning to take on the boss? Even if we don't fight we could train with them, that should be okay right?" Strength in numbers, that phrase held more truth to it than ever before after today. Those who were willing to fight the field boss were presumably amongst the best of them, and he couldn't think of anyone better to go out in the field with other than them.

Hanta awoke the following morning to the sound of a crowd outside. Confused he opened his eyes groggily, sitting up slowly and scratching at the mess of hair on his head, turning to look out the window. He couldn't see anything from bed, so he swung his legs over the edge and stepped onto the cold hardwood floor, quietly walking over as not to disturb Komada. On the street below he was rather surprised to see a mass of players gathered, lining the streets and cheering on someone that he couldn't quite see yet. Pushing open the window he leaned out, glancing down the road to get a better look, his eyes widening in surprise. A group of perhaps twenty players were all decked out in their gear, looking ready to go in spite of the earliness of the hour. It was hard to make out the chatter from everyone talking, but what he could gather these were to be the players who were going to be clearing the floor, or at least trying to. All but one of the faces were unfamiliar to him, and the one he did recognized just had to be Izumo. Not realizing he was staring at the boy he was a bit surprised when the gaze was returned, Izumo giving him a nasty glare before passing by. Apparently he was still blaming Hanta for yesterday's tragedy, whether founded or not. People continued to wave and cheer as the collective of players walked on, disappearing out of view as they passed through the town plaza and on their way to the fields to practice. So it really was going to happen, and sooner than they thought. They had to be part of this if they ever hoped to get over this guilt that was burdening them.

Once the crowds begun to disperse Hanta drew the windows closed again, sighing as he ran a had through his hair. Of course the one person critical of him had to be there, that would only make this even worse. Refusing to be deterred by that though he looked over at Komada, smiling slightly. She was still out despite the noise, lucky her. Moving to her bedside he leaned down, gently giving her a jostle to get her up. "Pssst.... Komada? Wake up." he whispered, shaking her again. "People are going out to train, we should go join them. Come on." He didn't know how long those people were going to be training for, but he figured they could at least get a few hours in, possibly gain a level or two. Looking up at his own HUD he took note of his level, frowning slightly. He was higher than the average he was certain, probably only lower than the really advanced players for that matter. Therein then was a sense of obligation to take part again, like he almost owed everyone something for being stronger. His smile waned as he reflected on that fact, stepping away from the bed to equip his gear. Maybe if he did this then Izumo would leave him alone and stop guilt tripping him, and perhaps they'd get a little more confidence in the game. "I'll help them... Even if it kills me..." he mumbled under his breath, closing his menu once equipped.
"A while now. We kept an eye on you, and when we had you in custody our studies showed some... Anomalies. You can be rather careless with your powers, Prince. They're unfocused, and if you used them properly you could do so much more." General Yusef wasn't going to go into detail, there was a fair bit of sensitive information with how they'd discovered the boy's ability. Giving one of his swords a swing the older Kaesstrian smiled slightly amused, listening to T'charrl's woes over his plans. "My territory? No, it's our territory. All I'm doing is leading the way, showing the others how we can achieve greatness. This goal, it isn't to further myself, it's to further all of Kaesstra. This was never solely about me boy." As he was so poignant to point out it was certainly the noble family's fault they had yet to progress. There was absolutely no reason to praise the energy, it wasn't an omniscient being or even sentient, it was just energy. And like any other resource on the planet it was theirs to use to their own ends, to gain a better foothold in the galactic community. Flexing his wings the general used his foot to dash right at T'charrl, bringing both his sword and dagger overhead and bearing down on the young alien. He was a little surprised as his strikes were blocked, not expecting the Prince to have the strength for that. "I'm not a madman, I'm a visionary! It's only people like you who are too blind to see our future that call me mad!" He threw his lower arms out to catch the boy's push, also managing to block the cane swing. What he didn't block however was the Saiyan ramming into him, knocking him into the wall with a fair bit of force.

"No... You're pretty much insane." Kabocha remarked, smirking as he stood upright. "If you're so confident people agree then why does no one know what you're doing? Seems to me like you're-" The Saiyan paused, having to dodge to the side as a knife was thrown at him, soaring right on by and piercing the wall. A mucous liquid dripped from it, though he couldn't tell from here what it was. Narrowing his eyes at the general he sprinted forward, going right in for a hit of his own. Flitting to the side as a sword was swung he crouched low, swinging a leg and sweeping Yusef off of his feet. Then, placing a hand on the floor beside him he lifted himself up, trying to kick the Kaesstrian into the wall again. Rather than that the general quickly used his wings to suspend himself in mid air, being missed by the kick and trying to stab Kabocha's leg. The Saiyan evaded again, clearly the faster of the two as he went back to T'charrl's side. "Seriously, just give it up! You're not going to win this, I promise. All this is going to do is make you even more sore when we drag you back."

Yusef landed a bit awkwardly after avoiding Kabocha's kick, having to use the wall to catch himself and stand up. "You children seriously think I consider either of you a threat? That I could feasibly lose this fight?" Not likely, certainly not to children. He was the upper echelon of Kaesstrian strength, rivaled only perhaps by the Queen and her own general. No one else on this world could compare to him, and with tactics no one from any other world could either. "You've a lot to learn of warfare to think you've won a battle so easily. It's not as simple as winning a single exchange." Again the general sized up the two boys, debating on who he should attack. T'charrl was the prime threat, he had to be dealt with to ensure the plans worked. The Saiyan on the other hand was a pest an would give trouble. After a brief moment's contemplation he opted to chase the Prince, again running in to close the gap. The sword would be brought overhead as before, but he'd use the dagger in a thrust to try catching the younger alien off-guard.
Yusef had made that there were people inside a fair while ago, as the front door being blown open wasn't exactly quiet. There were too many precious items here to fight around, lest they risk destroying them. Thus he'd opted for a surprise attack, hoping to diffuse the situation before any danger could come to his research. The Kaesstrian didn't know who to expect, and needless to say he was surprised when an unfamiliar Saiyan strolled into the room. It was hopeful that he'd land his strike, but realistically he wasn't at all surprised as it was avoided. Precisely who was this boy? He wasn't one of the Princes, and yet he seemed to be acting in their place. Curious, had his plan worked then? "And who is going to stop me? You, Prince T'charrl?" the general retorted, his eyes narrowing at the younger Kaesstrian. "You were scarcely a challenge when healthy, I couldn't even be bothered to fight you right now. You're mistaking bravery for strength child." Two opponents, one potentially a big problem and the other scarcely worth looking at. Even in a tired state the blade that T'charrl held was still lethal, and the boy did know how to use it. All it would take was for one misstep on his own part to be felled. "So a Saiyan and the traitor Prince have come to stop me then... How amusing..."

"I didn't kill you because I needed you boy, or are you that ignorant?" Yusef looked back at the Saiyan as he spoke, more concerned with that boy than T'charrl. "You hold the key to our race's advancement, to our becoming a true power in the universe. We're so close to space, but what do we do once we travel beyond if we cannot protect ourselves? Answer me that Prince. How do we keep the more powerful races at bay? The answer lies within you; We make ourselves stronger, at any cost." Their efforts to reach he stars would become moot if they were terrorized. It was a simple survivalist look on the matter; the weak would fall to the strong. They wouldn't be the weak, not so long as he had a say in it. The last question got a pause out of the general before he chuckled in a raspy tone, closing his eyes an shaking his head. "So they failed me then? They were told to kill the off-worlders and secure you, but here I'd thought you had simply evaded capture. With the proper techniques at their disposal my men could have easily done away with those boys, something must have gone wrong. Shame, I needed some loyal soldiers to build our next generation of warriors with."

Kabocha couldn't really stomach the nonsense this guy was spewing. For one it really just didn't make a lot of sense, he was clearly out of the loop. What was inside T'charrl, and how was that going to help these people become stronger? "You're making yourself stronger by killing people? You do realize how ass-backwards that sounds, right? You ought to all be working together for power, not killing one another." Either this guy was ignorant or plain nuts, and he was leaning towards the latter. Even if the Prince did have something within himself how did they plan on using it? You couldn't exactly extract someone's power, it didn't work that way. Taking up a stance Kabocha looked towards the door, hoping T'charrl was enough to keep this man inside so he could be dealt with. "Just drop the bravado and give up, you're not getting past us pops."

"Ignorant children... The lot of you... This war has been necessary, our two people can never reach an understanding between each other." Yusef stated, looking at T'charrl with an accusatory glare. "The key to our race's advancement is that energy you so irritatingly covet. We need it to become stronger, and that will never happen with your kind in the way. The only option is to be rid of the obstacle, then we can use the energy to our ends. The Kaesstrian race will be better for it, therefore I'm looking out for our people's best interests. I only wish you two could see the potential glory in it all." If he had to cut down a dozen or a hundred enemies he didn't care, sooner or later the opposition would wane. The fact that Saiyans were now on their soil was all the more reason to push the research, as sooner or later there would be travelers who weren't so content to behave themselves, and they'd be powerless to protect their homes. "I cannot allow anyone to get in my way. This is for the good of all of Kaesstra, and there are plenty of people who back me on the matter. I'll cut down the blind where they stand so that we as a peoples can grow." In a quick instant Yusef spread his wings, and with his sights already on T'charrl he dashed across the room, bringing both swords down overhead at the boy.
What a great night this whole event was turning out to be. Suto couldn't be more thrilled, everyone in attendance seemed to be having a genuinely good time right now. It was so rare that they all just had fun like this, and in doing so he couldn't help but be reminded about life outside of the game. This would be the world they'd be coming back to, back to going out as a group and having fun together, but for real. The thought of it all nearly made his heart leap in excitement, he couldn't wait. Watching as Kenshin departed he quirked an eyebrow, putting his hands on his hips with a faint smile. "Where on earth is he going...?" he asked rhetorically, surprised shy Kenshin was heading out on his lonesome. Not a moment later did Fitch come over to join them as well, only to give Yari a hug and leave the building as well after their other friend. The celebration was still going strong, wasn't it? It was a little disappointing that people were beginning to go, and of course Suto was unaware they'd been at it for over an hour at this point. With his focus on the birthday girl he jumped a bit when someone grabbed his shoulder, turning with a bashful smile to see it was Nero. "What...? A guy's night out?" he mimicked, honestly perplexed. He knew the girls were chatting about doing something, but he hadn't intended on a night out on the town really, not with the state that his wallet was in. No sooner had Nero proposed the idea and said goodbye to Yuna had he taken Suto by the collar, dragging him towards the door of the inn. "Hey...!" he shouted, flailing slightly against being manhandled. Realizing he was going whether he wanted to or not he smiled over at the girls, waving to them cheerfully. "Have fun you three! See ya later!"

Taken from the inn and out into the cool night air it looked like they were really going out to do their own thing. Suto stumbled slightly as he was released by Nero, standing upright and glancing down at himself, carefully straightening out his Gi top. "A 'Will you come with me?' would have worked just fine you know," he joked, glancing up at the other boy, his characteristic smirk back in place. "So, where did you plan on going? I'm just saying right now that I'm flat broke, save for maybe 150 Col. I can't buy a whole lot of anything right now." He was perfectly aware of course that Nero had more than enough cash on him to cover just about anything they might do for the evening. If it meant postponing going to bed and staying busy then all the better, Suto would bite his pride and let the boy pay. Certainly though he wasn't going to ask, though he'd jump at the offer. Raising his arms he then folded them behind his head, giving his body a stretch and faint groan along with it. "But, I'm up for anything. The night's young, and it's not like we've got a raid going on tomorrow. I say let's let loose and have some fun!"

Luna was having a fairly good time, allowing herself to play about perhaps more than she should. It was a birthday party after all, surely a situation like this was okay to throw some of her rules aside. As the evening progressed she naturally found herself being pulled more towards the girls of the group than the boys, preferring to be with her own sort. Her uncertainty around boys always made things difficult, and her often strict and commanding behavior certainly must make her a chore to be around. It was disappointing to see every male thus far shirk away from her, no one wanted to be with the feisty one. How silly of her to be thinking about this right now though, and selfish too. It was Yari's birthday, and it was only proper that she be the focal point of the evening. Pushing aside her own trivial concerns Luna smiled at the birthday girl as she proposed a night out, just for them. It was ambitious for her to suggest such a thing, but hopefully it'd help alleviate some of her somber thoughts. She didn't intend to do it right away however, but when people started to depart it looked as though that would be the case. She was disappointed that the boys had left so readily, thinking in her limited experience that friends shouldn't walk out on a party. Hardly understanding the nuances of such an event she kept quiet, offering simple goodbyes to those who left.

"Hm? Sorry?" Luna had been lost in thought when addressed, missing Yuna's question. Yari was kind enough to repeat it, and frankly she wasn't prepared to answer. It had been a comment made in passing, not even expecting to be heard. The other girls looked to be interested though, meaning now she had to actually come through with it. "Oh... Well let me think..." she replied, trailing off as she bit her lip. What was something they could do as a group? Another problem arose out of this, one again that made her a bit upset. She'd been pretty good friends with Yari since this game started, and yet she didn't quite know what friends really did together. They could go shopping... But then again what would they buy? There were no movie theaters in Aincrad, so a movie was out of the question as well. Those were the only two things she could think of, and only one was even viable. "What if we went shopping? You know... Dresses and stuff..." Luna suggested uncertainly, her cheeks flushing again. She wasn't very good at this, it was certainly more Yari's domain to socialize, or even Yuna's despite her shyness. Thinking about it for a moment she figured there was an ulterior motive to going out shopping as well. She could buy something to wear in town, something that perhaps might find her the attention of a certain man. "Unless there's something you two want to do? I'm afraid I don't really know what there is to do for fun around here."
Kabocha couldn't help but allow himself a satisfied smirk when he found the switch to the secret entrance. Of course Kai had to be quick to tease him, shooting the other boy an annoyed glare before shrugging his shoulders. "I got us inside the place too didn't I? Looks like I'm on a roll today!" Proud with himself there was a small strut in the Saiyan's step as he walked over to the stairs, peering down the long staircase a bit surprised. It went fairly far down, and a light was on at the bottom of it, though the steps themselves were nearly pitch black. The general would be down there then, probably waiting for them at this point. "Cautious? Oh come on, let's not worry over nothing," Kabocha remarked, slipping in front of T'charrl to take point again. They had to move single file down the steps since it was so narrow, but with two Saiyans in front of him and one behind the Prince was more than protected enough from any potential threats. The soldiers had agreed to remain at the top of the steps, both to guard the front door and the stairs below from anyone that might come snooping around. Between the four of them they could more than handle this matter on their own, reinforcements weren't needed.

Towards the base of the stairs the light became a fair bit brighter, and once on the floor they were faced with a long hallway. Unlike the stairs above it was polished and clean, almost like new, with tiled floors, white washed walls and various plants hanging from the walls and ceiling. A couple of luminescent lanterns shone from the ceiling as well, making the hall uncomfortably bright for the first few seconds. Kabocha slowly led them down the narrow path, and on their way a few doors and rooms were on either of their sides. The point was made to check every single one of these, being unable to find anyone in either. For the most part it was small storage rooms and offices, nothing really to cause alarm. Had they more time they might go through files to get a better idea of what this place was. Maybe at the end, hopefully there was something here to incriminate the general further. "Come on... How are these all empty...?" Kabocha mumbled, closing another door with a sigh. Further on along the hallway the sound of glasses clanging against one another could be heard, albeit faintly. It had been audible enough for the group to hear though, a unanimous hush falling over them all. For a moment no one moved, expecting something to happen after the noise. When evidently nothing would Kabocha carefully started walking ahead again, making sure to make as little noise as he could. It sounded like it came from the right, a door about halfway down the corridor. Once he'd gotten close enough the Saiyan pressed flush up against the wall, pausing briefly before poking his head into the doorway. The light was on, there were a few beakers on a table with liquid but no one inside. Frowning he looked back at the others before stepping in, walking towards the table. It was terribly close, as in an instant of entering the sound of claws scraping made him freeze up. Kabocha didn't even look, dashing off to the side towards the wall as a large figure nearly landed on him, a sword driving itself into the tiled floor. On his feet he looked at the large Kaesstrian a little surprised, smiling faintly. "Let me guess... You're the general?"

General Yusef looked at the ground where his sword had imbedded itself, frowning displeased. With a hard yank he freed it from the tiles, checking the edge for any dents casually. "Yes... I am General Yusef, and you're a Saiyan..." the Kaesstrian replied, turning his head to look at Kabocha. "You're faster than I'd have given you credit for, I'm impressed. Most people usually don't avoid me." Curious, this wasn't one of the boys that he had been dealing with before. No, this was a new one, and he had other people with him no less. Keeping his gaze on Kabocha the general paced towards the door, smiling faintly as he reached behind his back and drew a knife out from a hidden sheath as well. "I heard the Prince, did I not? Come on in boy, let us finish this war here and now." Were there more than just the Saiyan and T'charrl? The Prince he was confident he could handle, especially considering how weak he must be. Given his... Reassurances Yusef was positive that the Saiyan would fall to him as well. Seeing that the two Saiyan Princes were not present he assumed perhaps boldly that his plan had worked out, meaning there were three less threats for him to contend with. "I'll finish this Saiyan off, then take you back as a prisoner. And I promise that you will not get away from me this time."
Planets of Legacy

The most happenin' train around!

Kabocha smiled triumphantly as he blew apart the door, waving his hand in his face to clear some dust that kicked up. So much for security, and chances were anyone inside had heard that. All the more reason to get a move on then. "Good idea, let's go say hello." The twins methodically fell into place around the Prince, leaving Kabocha to take point as they entered the musky structure. If someone really was busily working away in here then they were doing a darn good job of hiding it, the place looked like no one had been inside for ages. Maybe there had been another entrance inside that they'd not seen. Ah well, much too late to worry about that now. The dim light that seeped through the door and windows faded relatively fast, leaving them with poor visibility. Surprisingly that was remedied by one of the soldiers, the Kaesstrian striking an odd stick that let off a bright glow, much like a glow-stick on Earth, only a lot brighter. Curiously the inside of the building didn't seem that large, and after checking each room they were unable to find anything that even hinted at a lab. In fact it really seemed just like a house, with the exception of a room that had a few curious containers on the floor. Overall the search had turned up empty thus far, nothing at all pointing them to where they wanted to go.

"Man... That fricken bug was lying to us..." Kabocha grumbled, glancing back at T'charrl and the soldiers with a faint smirk. "Uh... No offense to you guys." What a letdown though, now they'd have to backtrack and get more information. Exhaling he leaned down and grabbed up a discarded beaker, turning it over in his hands. Nothing but an abandoned house, a dead end. Figuring they were done here he looked at the far wall, giving the glass item a toss against it with a satisfying shatter. As he was turning to leave a switch clicked in the Saiyan's head, and he turned back to the wall with a curious smirk. "Hang on a second..." If that was what he thought it was then this general was a sneaky jerk. Kabocha walked over to the far wall and stood before it, glancing over it curiously for a second. It had to be, that was the only thing that made sense. Placing one hand on the wall he also laid his head against it, his ear flush against the wood as he then began to knock against it with his knuckles. Feeling around a bit he eventually found a sweet spot, grinning broadly when he did. "A hollow wall... Meaning there's something behind here!" A room? A hallway? Now this was getting interesting, he had to know what was on the other side. Unlike the door he wasn't so keen to break this down, worrying that he might accidentally kill a certain someone should they be on the other side. "Look around for something to open it. Like... A hidden switch or something. There's got to be a way to open it."

Kabocha began to scour the messy room from top to bottom in search of the key to get in, as did the soldiers. With clutter everywhere and a great bit of the room filthy it was both tricky and unpleasant to search. Kicking up dust and cobwebs as they shifted things didn't help their case either, as it would shift and settle again, covering spots they had already checked. In the process of searching they had to clean the room a bit just to find anything, beginning to pile discarded items along the wall by the door to clear a space. If there was indeed a switch then it was very well hidden, as they were having a tough time finding it. Kabocha had gone to the metal table under the grimy window, sliding his hands across the top before beginning to prod underneath it. His fingers skimmed along the underside of the table carefully, the Saiyan grimacing slightly as he touched some unknown substances now and again. Finally, his hand skimmed over something sticking out against the bottom, and with a 'click' sound the wall began to shift, a panel sliding back to reveal a descending staircase. "Aha, got it!" This had to be where the general skirted off to, whatever was down there...
So the potion was doing it's magic, that was good. Unfortunately that medicine only went so far as to mend a tired body, there was nothing that could be done for Link's obvious tepid desire to be here. He looked rather out of it, and Caelan didn't think that was from the ride over here. "Well... Have you had plenty of water to drink? We were just in a desert, so part of your exhaustion could be dehydration?" With the little he knew of medicine the mage opted to assume the role of healer, however minute and temporary that post may be. At the very least he could help watch over the sloth that was Link until the more experienced members got them moving again. With a kind smile he grabbed the water skin off of his belt, popping the cork off the top and offering it over to the blonde boy. "Just in case you are dehydrated take little sips. And be sure not to drink too much, even if you still feel thirsty, or you might get sick." Of course water only did so much good, nutrition was needed just as much. Being in a near barren canyon made it difficult to find any sort of nourishment, and admittedly Caelan wasn't overly familiar with the terrain. A cursory glance around found nothing that might serve as food, only woody shrubs and a few animal carcasses, or skeletons rather. Not the most welcoming of images.

Caelan gave Link a funny look at the mention of something bad happening, only because he had felt it too. The water mage had chalked it up to exhaustion making his mind jumpy, and it still could be just that, though what were the chances of the others sharing that sensation? "Hey... There's no reason to be scared. Look at who we're with, there are some capable people here, am I right? Nothing's going to happen that we can't handle." Hopefully not, he was really taking a shot in the dark at everyone's capabilities. Scuffing his boot against the dusty ground he glanced further down the canyon, putting his hands on his hips and exhaling softly. "Wouldn't mind getting paid for my trouble though..." he added, mumbling mostly to himself. Whether this was a permanent gig was still up in the air, and if it wasn't he had to make some sort of profit during it for his own sake. A rather small part of him had already debated on borrowing a few items if he should leave, just enough to sell off and keep himself afloat. That bridge would be crossed when and if the time came though, no sense in plotting so far into the future now. Taking a glance back at Link he smiled, holding out one hand for the skin to take it back. "Feeling warm too? I can cool you down with some magic. Figure if I'm going to be here I might as well be of some use."
