This is not Rome and they are not gladiators. At least... Not yet.
Tetsuya had no real idea how to move along with his search, only that he knew he had to. It stood to reason that someone in Ru had the information he was seeking, but actually coming across that person was going to be difficult. Stolen relics were hardly the things of common trade so anyone that had knowledge of it was probably less than reputable, and therefore most people wouldn't know of them. Its times like this he wouldn't mind having someone a little more... Knowledgeable of how the underground world worked, then perhaps he'd not be chasing ghosts. If he kept at it he was bound to stumble across something, but who knows how long that might take? When being quick about it was fair important he couldn't quite afford to wander about hoping to strike it lucky.

In the not too far distance the young Neko began to pick up an awful lot of voices, and if he wasn't mistaken the clatter of steel against stone as well. Marching troops? It sounded rhythmic so that made sense, but why were there troops moving? Was it Ru's own or was it something else? He had no personal claim in the matter but he was curious, enough so that he began to follow the sounds to try and see what it was. The swathes of people gathered along a main road was show enough of where the spectacle was, and Tetsuya had to pick his way through the crowds in order to get eyes on just what was happening. He'd expected perhaps one of the local nobility was passing through, or if he were so fortunate perhaps Lady Ru herself. What he found on the other sides of the crowd, however, was far from pleasing.

"Naji...?" Tetsuya whispered, frowning as he glanced over at the norimono. What was someone like her doing all the way out here? It was a bit odd that such an important person would show up like this, though he could hardly claim to know what went on between rulers. When the soldiers parted and the kitsune woman began to speak he couldn't help but feel a little war of what was happening. Just by nature he had to be cautious of strangers, it was basically required by his position as a guard to do so. While he may have no personal stake in Ru he did need these people's aid, and anything that might inhibit his search would be a problem. It would hardly work for him to ask them to leave, he wasn't nearly thick enough to even consider such a thing. But maybe their being here wasn't all bad, maybe he could work it to his advantage.

If the future Empress was seeking an audience with Lady Ru, and indeed she was, she was all but guaranteed to get it. Should Tetsuya be able to join the convoy then he'd surely reach the palace, and perhaps even be permitted an audience as well. Unless he had some serious claim himself to enter the palace grounds he didn't think it likely he'd see the Lady himself; Shima's badge may hold some weight, but with brigands and bandits roaming one could never be completely certain someone was who they said they were. Tetsuya decided then if he was to get in touch with Lady Ru then this was his best chance. Seeing no other option he broke rank in the crowd, stepping out to the road to confront the kitsune woman. Naturally the guards and soldiers around the area immediately went to their weapons, to which he only responded by putting his hands up defensively, trying to show he meant no harm.

"Relax, I'm not here to cause trouble, I only wish to make a request," Tetsuya explained, trying to sound far more authoritative than his youthful voice might allow. Relieved when the guards looked to ease up a bit he looked at the kitsune woman, smiling faintly before making a polite bow in her direction. "I'm seeking an audience with Lady Ru as well, on behalf of Lord Shima. If it's not too much trouble I'd like to join you and your Lady in visiting her." He didn't want to admit he was utterly lost and needed directions, there was a little bit of pride to be had after all.

But that's the thing, he's for neutrality. He'd rather do his own thing, as well as Shima do its own thing, than try to control or be controlled by anyone else. :p
It's an encroachment on what Shima prides itself on; neutrality. Seeing their home being assimilated is kind of like revoking their right to choose where they stand, so Tetsuya's not a fan. :3
No, he would absolutely not :p Tetsuya sees Lord Shima as a second father, so betraying him is out of the question.
"Hm? How do you heal people then? There are other ways?" Eri asked, looking at T'charrl with earnest interest. He'd always been taught that Ki was needed to mend injuries, but if this alien knew of a different method he would love to try it. Sometimes a healer like himself might grow tired, and fatigue meant less and less Ki to use for healing wounds. If there was some way to still be useful while exhausted then he'd love to learn how. Once both arms were seen to the Namekian sat back, smiling proudly as he wiped a little bit of sweat from his forehead. That had been easy enough, and he still had more than enough energy left over to see to the Saiyan. At T'charrl's behest he was given the okay to do just that, nodding his head before getting to his feet.

"Of course, uh... I'm happy I could help. And don't worry, I'm sure you did plenty already," Eri replied with a smile before moving over to Takeshi. The Saiyan was staring at some children playing for some reason, and even standing within a few meters of him he failed to notice. Shifting around a bit awkwardly the young Namekian coughed into his closed hand, smiling a little as he finally got Takeshi's attention. "Hi there... It's uh, it's your turn. Your friend mentioned an injured leg, would you like for me to start there?"

"Eh...? What's that...?" Takeshi asked, still watching the kids play around as he was spoken to. Glancing over finally he blinked when he saw Eri standing there, smiling sheepishly as he turned to face the Namekian completely. "Oh, sure! Heh, sorry about that! Just enjoying how nice things seem here is all." After the utter hectic mess that was fighting that monster it was hard to believe people could be so relaxed right now. Though then again the threat was gone, and by the looks of things this village hadn't been attacked. Then again maybe they would be upset about the people who had been attacked, yet everyone seemed to be pretty carefree. Lost in thought Takeshi didn't realize Eri was trying to get to his leg, and after noticing propped it up for the Namekian to work on. It didn't take very much time at all for him to notice things changing, and it was a bit odd as he could feel his skin coming back together and the muscle fixing itself; weird but pleasant, and certainly much faster than if he waited for it to heal naturally.

"Okay then... We'll go outside, we should get looked at anyways," Haku replied, nodding as he got Kiton to his feet, "But... Maybe keep that cyborg thing to yourself? I mean he's already moody, I doubt calling him that will help." The last thing they needed was to instigate Ricken into attacking, as he sincerely doubted they could fight him right now. Even with one arm the rebel was fairly intimidating, and it couldn't be said with absolute certainty which side the others would take if an argument or fight did break out. Probably best then just to keep safe, no reason to get themselves into any nasty situations. Exiting the ship Haku looked around for the others of their group, spotting Shu, T'charrl and Takeshi not far off with one of the locals. That must be the healer then, thank goodness; cuts, bruises, probably even a fractured rib, Haku was hurting all over so getting his injuries checked would be really nice.

Yumi may have slightly overreacted just then, but she had cause to worry. They were quite literally just moments away from getting Viral some help and it would be horrible if anything were to happen; more injuries now could put off his getting better, and nobody wanted that for him. Even with her friend reassuring her he was alright she had to check, glancing over every inch she could see to inspect for injuries. When she was satisfied there was nothing seriously wrong she let up a little, sighing contently before giving Viral a relieved smile. "I know... I just want to be sure you're okay, that's all," Yumi said as she reached out, brushing a bit of dirt off of Viral, "Just be careful please? I'm sure you don't want Aito and June to show up and find you laying on a cot because you hurt yourself."

Vegeta felt a fair bit concerned for how Viral was doing, but with Yumi hot on his heels he tried to remain calm. She could see to him for now, and soon enough his parents would be here to help out. It was bittersweet in a way, knowing that they were about to return; with his father back Viral would finally get to recovering as he should be, and yet at the same time it meant his stint as the one helping the Beastman would fast come to an end. It was a little depressing knowing he'd been unable to do what he'd set out to, if only because it meant Viral would suffer a bit longer. If he'd only had more time, or maybe gotten the information sooner then perhaps things would have worked out better.

Refocusing on the Elder, Vegeta waited to let the Namekian speak before offering any answers, clearing his throat before speaking. "If you're speaking about just this trip then we came from Earth. If you're referring to how much time we've spent collectively trying to get Viral help... I can't say. Weeks? Months even? He's been ill quite a long time." All the more reason to see him well, he'd suffered far longer than anyone ever should. "And of course we are not bringing conflict here, I can assure you of that. We were not followed and the only ones who know of Namek's location are us and the rebels. While I may not agree with them entirely I can say from experience they're not the kind to take advantage of a planet, including yours. And if you'd like I can speak with them on your behalf? Anything you wish to tell them, any terms or the likes I can relay for you. I believe that their only intention is to make their presence known, should you need aid, but I can't speak for them. If anything does come to mind feel free to tell me before we depart."
Tetsuya loses everywhere ^^"
The Virtues

A group of unofficial Clearers who pride themselves on keeping to the highest moral standards. Vehemently opposed to PKers.

Suto had more expected Fitch to come knocking, or one of his other friends. He'd kind of left in a bit of a fit and figured maybe someone was coming to check on him, yet that didn't appear to be the case. Instead of a familiar face he was looking down at a younger girl, or who he only assumed to be younger as she was a bit short. Well this was perfectly awkward, here he was having a fit and some total stranger was coming to talk to him. Weird that she was here too, he'd never seen her before but she must be decent if she was on Floor 26 already. Was she a Clearer? He'd admit he didn't know every single face, yet she kind of stood out in a way so he doubted that.

"Eh... I knocked into you?" Suto repeated, blinking confused as he glanced past the girl into the hall. Oh yeah, he'd sort of felt something when he was trudging over but hadn't given it very much thought. This was a bit of an overreaction maybe to having someone bump into her but he wasn't going to tell her off for it. Looking back at Kimi he opened his mouth to apologize, instead standing there mouth agape as she both insulted him and apologized in one breath. So what exactly was her stance on all of this then? She seemed apologetic one second and angry the next, and on top of everything else going on Suto was pretty damn confused.

"I... Uh..." Should he accept the apology or give one in return? He didn't much mind her venting a little, mostly because she didn't seem to earnestly mean it. Oddly enough seeing her in such a fit he smiled meekly, laying his arms against his sides and bowing down almost ninety degrees, holding the position as he closed his eyes. "I'm sorry! I didn't mean to bump into you, my mistake. Please forgive me, I wasn't paying attention." What a silly situation, both he and Kimi were trying to apologize to one another for something he'd done. For a peculiar reason it struck Suto as particularly funny, or maybe it was just him finally cracking a bit and losing his mind. Whatever the case was he let out a muffled laugh, starting to giggle a bit as he quickly stood up and covered his mouth with his hand.

"S-Sorry! I don't mean to laugh!" Suto chortled, smiling behind his hand as he shook his head, "J-Just give me a second, please." How ridiculous, he was being snapped at by a girl a good head smaller than he was and scrambling to make it up to her. Not that he didn't feel apologetic, but for whatever reason he'd been acting like she was some big, scary person. Heck, after that last boss fight he wasn't even sure why he was intimidated by anyone right now. Letting out a few more short snickers he finally managed to settle down enough, smiling at Kimi despite his cheeks still being slightly damp. "Heh... Uh... Everything okay now?"
What a delicate situation this was, and an annoying one too. Tetsuya wanted to simply ask around for any information concerning their stolen relics and yet he worried doing so might cause further problems. Did the people of Ru even know about their troubles? No doubt seeing one of Shima's guards out and about in their town raised some questions but he doubted they had put two and two together. If he was going to ask around for information then it would need to be the right people, someone he could trust; trust when it came to complete strangers was a bit difficult to come across, unfortunately. Though he sincerely doubted anyone from Ru had stolen the relics he couldn't wipe that possibility from the slate, not just yet.

The very few places that Tetsuya could think to ask around were taverns; plenty of folks came and went in these, it was only reasonably then someone might know something. Either word had spread of his causing a bit of a scene before or people were naturally wary of an outsider, whatever the case was he found it quite difficult to get anyone to talk. After coming up empty on the third attempt he had resigned to wander off a bit, try to gather his thoughts and come up with a new plan. Sitting at the banks of a small pond he stared out over the water, watching as a team of ducks swam through, pecking at whatever might be at the water's surface. Watching curiously he spotted a shadow in the water, raising his eyebrows a second later when a koi rose up to try and attack the ducks, probably trespassing on its grounds. Rather than flee the ducks began swatting and kicking at the koi, successfully driving it away and resuming their feeding as if nothing had happened.

That's what he needed, a team. Or at the very least a partner to help cover ground, as two heads were better than one. Lord Shima had stressed sending him alone in order to keep suspicion from rising, and while the young Neko respected his decision it did make his own job much more difficult. Maybe he was just going about it all wrong, maybe he could find another way to work around this issue. Where espionage was hardly his forte however Tetsuya couldn't even begin to come up with a plan. If it took much more than direct questioning it was a little beyond him, and much to his chagrin that strength didn't seem to be panning out here. For a town that was supposed to be receptive to outsiders he couldn't get much luck going for himself.

"Or maybe I'm missing something..." Tetsuya mumbled, letting out a sigh as he plucked up a stone. Reeling his arm back he tossed it into the pond, watching as it skipped a few times before sinking below the surface. "Think... The war must be effecting these people too, maybe if I can figure that much out I could help..." He had been told by other guards that sometimes you needed to do a bit of work on the side to get people talking, earn their favor in a way. While Tetsuya loathed to waste time doing menial tasks it could well be his only option to finding out what he needed to know.

"Well, won't find anything out just sitting here, I suppose." Grabbing his sword and shield from the ground beside him Tetsuya placed them onto his back again, securing them on a clip fastened to a strap that ran across his chest and back. For a moment he considered leaving the weapons behind, figuring maybe it was his having them that was making people not want to talk. Then again near everyone in Ru seemed to be trained and armed, so thinking that he might be intimidating everyone or anyone was a little absurd. Smiling slightly he shook his head, marching back up the hill leading to the pond and getting back on the road. Right... So where to next?
