I swear, what is it with this group and harems? xD
So just where was Lady Ru? Tetsuya wished she would show herself soon, he really did not enjoy making small talk. It didn't help either that one of the people he was speaking to was a princess either, he didn't feel quite equipped to handle someone like her. Granted the Lady he was seeking was noteworthy too, but she hardly commanded the amount of respect and reverence that Eri did. That aside the conversation had left him all kinds of confused, questioning now what the purpose of the Naji heir and her instructor was in coming to Ru. Surely it was nothing malicious yet he couldn't help but wonder, finding the way that Rii spoke to be very vague. If he stayed around during the talks later he might find out, that was provided if he was allowed to.

The sound of clattering boots off in the distance drew Tetsuya's focus away, looking towards the larger building to see what the deal was. Exiting the structure was a woman clad in clothing that left very little to the imagination, at least in his opinion. Though he managed to put two and two together he was stunned to find this was the woman he was seeking, again a ruler not being quite what he'd expected. She seemed both relaxed yet commanding at the same time, and the tattoos she bore probably told some kind of story he would imagine. Watching as she approached the trio alone his eyes widened slightly when Rii and Lady Ru spoke casually, certainly not having expected the two of them to know one another. Suddenly he felt awfully unprepared for all of this, like he was at a serious disadvantage for not knowing anyone here. Hopefully being a stranger didn't have any bearing on how his request might go over.

Thankfully Lady Ru had sorted out who he was fairly quickly, though a formal introduction should still be given. She was awfully lax with how she spoke too, making it sound more like she was speaking to someone about the weather than any potential politics. Right to the point, he could appreciate that, and he even gave a nervous smile when she mentioned dueling; Wouldn't it be terribly wrong of a guard from a neighboring clan to duel a leader? Would he even be a match for Lady Ru for that matter? He was good, but Tetsuya was skeptical whether or not he was good enough to take on the leader of a clan. Much to his chagrin the Lady made a pretty off color comment there at the end, the Neko's face burning up as he had to look at the ground awkwardly, not having any idea whatsoever how to react to that. Did a woman honestly just say that in front of him? And so carefree too?

Tetsuya thought it might have been that comment that made Eri hesitate to start, a fact to which he gave her a look of 'Why me?'. When she explained though he figured it was reasonable, it would be best to ask for the information while Lady Ru was in a good mood. Jeez, how in the world was he supposed to talk to Lady Ru after that though? When he looked back at the woman he felt his face heating up again, wondering if maybe he should just come back later and try again.

"Uh... Right... I guess I'm up," Tetsuya said to himself, smiling nervously as he turned to Lady Ru. "My name is Tetsuya Ueno, and I'm one of Lord Shima's guards. I uh... I was sent here to ask you for some information," he began, finding himself struggling to think as he looked into the Lady's eyes. Dang it, all he could think about was what she had said, it was really making this hard. Trying to find somewhere else to look in hopes of making it less awkward his blush intensified when he accidentally looked at her chest, quickly looking towards the gate and letting out a sigh. He was way too uncomfortable around women to be doing this right now, but he had to get the question out for his Lord. Running a hand through his hair he shifted his weight around a little, taking a big breath before finally turning back to Lady Ru.

"I was hoping you might have some information on a theft that took place in Shima. I don't know if you've gotten word of what happened yet or not..." Tetsuya explained, glancing over at Eri and Rii for a second. Was this okay to say in front of them? Asking them to leave probably wouldn't do much so he'd have to, like it or not. "It's about our relics. Someone has stolen Shima's relics and we have no leads as to who did it. So I guess my question is have you noticed anything suspicious in your town? Any unusual people passing through, or heard any rumors?"
"You have been strong though, strong enough to keep fighting even when you've been sick. It's not physically strength, but then there's different ways a person can be strong." Once Aito began his treatment however that too would return to Viral, and he would once more be able to fight and enjoy life. It must really be crushing to be in such a position, especially when she could recall how active the Beastman and Yumi and Vegeta were when they were younger. Did he miss that at all? She had never really questioned whether he enjoyed the play or not, but she couldn't recount Viral ever seeming to be genuinely displeased with it. There was no one in this group quite that age now, and the only one she assumed may even be remotely interested was that young Saiyan boy, as he seemed to be still a child. Time would tell what Viral wanted to do, hopefully he would jump at the chance to be active again.

"Yumi? Can you help me with him please?" June asked, smiling as she began to lift Viral up, "Getting used to all of this again, it's still a bit weird." Having a physical body after so long meant getting used to actually weighing something, and dealing with other things that weighed something too. Not to say she hadn't had her body in Otherworld, because she did, but there was a definite difference between that place and this. Or maybe it was something to do with gravity, who knows.

"Oh? Uh, of course June!" She certainly didn't have to be asked to help Viral, she was planning to anyways. Grabbing the other side of her friend the two women slowly got him to his feet, each doing their best to prop him up and keep him steady; when the person you were holding towered over you it wasn't the easiest thing in the world, but they managed. So it was back to the ship then was it? Normally she'd be disappointed to head back so early yet with everything that had gone on getting back to normalcy was actually kind of tempting. There was a slight problem however, one that could make getting back take a lot longer than they might like. T'charrl had changed into his larger form as did Viral, and on top of that there was now June and Aito to boot. Everyone wouldn't have fit into the shuttle before but now it was a bigger issue, and the only way she could see it working was to make two trips. Viral would go first she figured, probably with Aito so they could get to work, and the rest would follow after.

Aito was quite pleased with everyone, knowing they had just saved Namek from perhaps certain doom. He never would have expected Vegeta to be gallivanting around the galaxy like this, saving worlds and fighting monsters. Was he upset? Not in the slightest, but it had never crossed his mind until now. It was awfully reminiscent of what his own father had done, and he couldn't help but wonder if Trunks may have had some influence on his son, as it certainly appeared to be that way. Now that he was back Aito had every intention of getting right to work, sorting out Viral and anything else that required his attention; seeing a Frost demon amongst their number was unexpected, yet it was only another item on the list for him. Moving over to where Kiton lay he promptly reached down and got him to his feet, using one arm to support the small alien.

"The fact that you're alive tells me no one believes that. If you really were the cause for the trouble I would bet you'd be wherever the monster is now," Aito responded, smiling amused as he began to move Kiton back towards the shuttle. "You'd be surprised what I know, and what you can learn from being in Otherworld. And helping people is just something I do, whether you want my help or not you're going to get it. I wouldn't be very much a doctor if I allowed someone to die right in front of me now would I?" Not to suggest that Kiton was about to kill over but it got the point across. He was every bit doctor as he was scientist, it was just natural to provide aid. Maybe once the Frost Demon was well again then they could pass some kind of judgment, but he'd have no part in it as he didn't know the whole story. Vegeta and his friends could more than handle that part, he would likely be too busy working with Viral anyways.

Vegeta supposed they shouldn't just stand around like this, they had plenty to do and would have to get back to the ship to do it. "Thank you again, Elder, for everything," he said, smiling over at the old Namekian, "I'll give my own two cents when we speak with the rebels, I'll make sure they understand you want no part in the war. Your world is safe now and they have no reason to send troops, so with luck you and your people can continue on as you have been." He assumed with the fighting that was going on Korian didn't have enough men to send to Namek anyways, not if it wasn't in any immediate danger. Seeing his father taking Kiton off to the shuttle he began moving in that direction as well, glancing at his mother, Yumi and Viral happily as he passed. Soon the Beastman would be back on his own two feet, proud and powerful as the day they had met. Soon T'charrl and Shu's problems would be sorted out, all thanks to his parents.

"Looks like we'd better get moving too, huh?" Takeshi asked, smiling as he put his hands on his knees and jumped up to his feet. Boy it felt good to be able to move freely again, even if his legs were a bit tender still. "What should we do when we get back guys? I bet you two are probably hungry and all after that, maybe we should get some fruit?" Or to be exact T'charrl and Shu could get fruit, he'd get something a little more substantial to eat. Did Haku like fruit? He'd never seen the kid eat it but figured he was hungry enough like the rest of them to eat whatever he was given. Raising his arms up over his head in a stretch Takeshi let out a groan, popping his back before tucking his hands into his pockets and following the others to the shuttle.
Hm... Wolves. And no, not just because he is a cat :p
Ooooh, it's so late... Want to post, but can't... But want to ;o;
Katsu really wasn't a fan of violence, in fact he normally detested it. There was a reason he went into theft as opposed to other crimes, as generally speaking you avoided any and all fighting in his line of work. Sure, with his martial arts training and bending he could probably take on any number of illicit activities, but those that might genuinely harm someone were well below him. Items could be replaced, lives couldn't, so he didn't lose any sleep over snatching someone's favorite vase or necklace as it wasn't that big a deal in the broad scheme of things. While perfectly logical to him others outside of his circle scarcely agreed, and he would be hard pressed to find some random soul on the street that thought the way he did.

Now was hardly the time to argue with himself over the justification of theft, he had more important things to worry about; the White Lotus was after him, again, and he'd be damned if he let them take him away. Having slipped out of the restaurant he took to the sewers as an escape route, which was hardly ideal but it would more than serve his needs. Slipping the manhole cover on securely he slid down the ladder, wasting no time in making a run for it along the side of the pipes. Right, there should be another manhole cover some few hundred meters this way, and there he could come back up to the surface and slip away in the city. Or that was the plan at least, it seemed there was going to be a slight complication in it.

"Katsu, get over here, NOW!"

Ah, the sweet sound of a siren's voice grating against glass, how he'd missed that in the last half a minute. Seriously though, why in the world was Siku chasing him? She had absolutely no part in any of this, and it kind of made him mad she was getting mixed up in something she knew nothing about. Biting back the urge to shout back he kept running, silently cursing his feet for slamming into the damp concrete and basically advertising where he was. Well whatever, if he really had to he'd do what he'd done to the White Lotus to Siku; he liked her well enough but even she wasn't going to keep him from getting away. Thinking he was much too far to be hit with anything he frowned hearing the sound of rushing water, turning his head just to see a torrent spiraling at him. Gasping in surprise he quickly lifted his arms to shield himself, somehow keeping his mouth shut as he was slammed into the side of the sewers, groaning as he slipped down onto the floor.

"Are you nuts...?! What are you doing?!" Katsu shouted, glaring over at Siku as she came into view. Damn her, she was going to ruin everything! No way was he going to go back, not now and not ever. Picking himself up off the floor Katsu spit out a bit of the nasty water, wrinkling his nose in disgust as he assumed a fighting stance. Fine, if she wanted to bend then they would bend, he just hoped she didn't mind getting intimate with flames. "You have no idea what you're doing Siku, piss off!" Throwing forward a few punches he shot streams of fire at the girl, following with a few leaping-spinning kicks, a volley of fire racing at Siku. After launching those attacks he promptly turn and began running again, hoping to reach the ladder before she could really catch up to him.
"Oh... That's alright, don't worry about it. What's important is here and now, and the fact you'll be feeling better soon," June said softly, smiling as she continued to stroke Viral's hair, "Just keep being strong so Aito can help you, okay? You do that little bit and he'll handle the rest." Poor thing, how hard had life been on the Beastman since they had passed? He was never really meant to act as a parent and yet she figured he'd adopted the role, that couldn't have been easy. Come to think of it she didn't even know what the reason was behind his changing like this either, but it must have been something really radical to make it so bad. Things were going to be okay though, Aito was back and knowing him he already had a plan in place. There was something that she was forgetting to do though, something that made them seem awfully rude without showing their appreciation. Looking up at the Namekian Elder, June smiled at him kindly, nodding her head in a slight show of thanks.

"Thank you so much for reuniting us sir, it means the world to me and my husband," June said cheerfully, "I'm so happy to know the Namekians are alive and well too, I was worried when I heard about the war. You and your people have been okay, I hope?"

Vegeta felt almost like he was dreaming right now, still having trouble processing the fact his parents were here. The hug that he'd received was most certainly real, as were the tears staining his cheeks. For the first time in a long few years he felt like he wasn't responsible for everything and everyone, that just by his father's return a huge weight lifted from his shoulders. Not that he would completely shirk responsibility now, but it was reassuring knowing someone else was around and more than capable of doing the jobs he had to. Speaking of his father he was coming over now, but for what? Vegeta really didn't want more emotional displays, he already felt embarrassed enough for crying in front of the group. Smiling nervously he shared a glance with Aito for a moment before looking away, letting out a sigh as he rubbed the back of his neck.

"Dad... I'm sorry..." Vegeta mumbled, shaking his head before looking down somberly, "I tried to help out but I couldn't do it. I haven't been able to help Viral very much and Capsule Corp has been neglected because of me. On top of that I never picked up those lessons you wanted me to on biology, now I wish I did. There's a lot of things I couldn't do and didn't do, I just feel like-" Hm, what was that on his head? Blinking Vegeta looked up a bit, staring at his father a bit confused as he'd put one of his hands on his head. Flashbacks of when he was much younger came to him then, of whenever he'd done well and his father would usually do this, then pull him into a hug. Thankfully he was spared the latter, but the simple gesture was enough to make him choke up slightly.

"Hey, you did all you could, there's nothing wrong with that. You did your part and now it's time for me to do mine." In fact Vegeta had probably dealt with far more than Aito ever would have liked, so it was only fitting he bear the burden now. A hectic and unpredictable life was something he was used to, and getting thrown into the midst of things like this was just a reminder of how nice it was to be alive again. Patting Vegeta's head gently he looked back at the rest of the group, curious to see a Frost Demon amongst them. Interesting, he didn't think he'd ever meet one of them personally. By the looks of him he was in fairly poor condition, by no means in danger but hardly healthy. Everyone else looked okay so why was he left injured? Ouch, and the fact he was trying to fly away didn't help his situation any. Right, so see to the Frost Demon quickly then get Viral back to wherever Vegeta and his friends had come from. Seeming to just vanish from sight before Vegeta he reappeared behind those nearest Kiton, smiling slightly as he leaned down, ignoring the surprised reactions from those around him.

"Moving around much in your condition isn't wise. I'd guess bruised ribs, perhaps some hemorrhaging too and plenty of superficial wounds. Any particular reason you're trying to run away like that?" Aito asked, standing upright as he grabbed Kiton's arm, hoisting him to his feet to helps support him. "I can't in good conscience leave you like this, so you're coming with me to the medical center. Er... If we have one of those?" Did they? Glancing back at his son he got a nod in reply, smiling as he nodded back. "Right then! We should hurry up and get back to the ship, no sense in wasting time," Aito said, looking over to the Elder as well as Eri and making a small bow, "Thank you very much for your help my friends. I hope for nothing but good fortune for you and your people. Goodness knows you deserve it."
"Do I think it will make everything better? No, but it can't hurt. I'm certainly not going to stand here and berate you," Aito replied, smiling in spite of Viral's outbursts. He wasn't thrilled at agitating the Beastman like this but he had to get insight into what the problem was and just how far along it might be. As he'd expected he was becoming almost feral, his more animal side winning over reason. That supported his theory that the genes were deteriorating and now he knew precisely what needed to be done. Simple gene therapy wasn't going to cut it, they would likely have to rework his genome from scratch in order to stabilize things. The rate of deterioration, he figured, was much too quick for any simple injections to solve. Could it perhaps stave any serious damage? Perhaps, but it wasn't going to fix anything. They would need to put Viral into stasis, keep him sedated while they worked to prevent his body from acting up and harming itself.

Watching as Viral fell to the ground, Aito glanced over to Yumi with a puzzled expression. What had she just done? Evidently her appearance wasn't the only thing that changed, she had just in essence soothed a savage beast. Peculiar, but handy and probably saving him the trouble of restraining the Beastman himself. Letting out a soft sigh he looked down at Viral, wondering how he would feel about the treatment. No doubt he would be happy to begin recovering but to be put under for potentially a week or more wouldn't be so thrilling; if Viral didn't agree to that then they would have to approach the problem a different way, and this far Aito had only come up with the single idea. Moving to squat down he blinked when he felt the back of his collar be grabbed, standing straight and glancing behind him to see June giving him an exasperated look.

"Honestly Aito, we only just got back and you're provoking him. Do you really want to go back already?" June asked, releasing her husband as she let out a sigh, "We can do this without agitating Viral, so please don't. He's been through enough already, he doesn't need anymore pain." Turning her attention then to the Beastman she gave him a soft smile, kneeling down at his side and looking him over. He was so changed, but in ways worse than the others. She didn't know the science behind Beastmen but she knew this wasn't right, and it wasn't even remotely how Viral had looked before.

"You poor thing... I'm sorry you're having to go through this, but it's going to get better soon," June said gently, reaching out and stroking Viral's hair, "You don't have to worry anymore, Aito and I will make things all better. And when we do we'll all go back to being a family, just like before."

This was a nice little scene, seeing Aito and June reuniting with Vegeta after so long. Was this what their own reunion with their mother would be like? Takeshi didn't even know these people yet he was feeling pretty happy, sniffling as he smiled at their friend. For a usually stoic and serious guy he sure looked happy right now, and his cheeks were damp from crying but then who could blame him? Realizing his own eyes were slightly watery Takeshi used his sleeve to wipe his face dry, sniffling again and letting out a small chuckle. It kind of made all of the crap they went through today worth it, and now that Viral was getting help things were only going to get even better.

"Wow... Big scary Takeshi is crying?" Haku teased, smiling slightly as he looked over at the Prince. Getting a good smack on the back of the head for that comment he winced, grasping the spot with both hands before frowning, hardly thinking his tease deserved that slap. Still he'd managed to get to the other boy, and seeing him smile regardless of being poked at made Haku smile too, relieved that his joke had been taken alright.

"Shut up Haku, you're not crying because you don't know them," Takeshi retorted, his face a bit red out of embarrassment. If Shu had any real idea of what was happening he'd probably be all teary eyed too, same as T'charrl. Speaking of someone who was utterly clueless Kiton sounded like he really needed some explanations. Looking over at the Frost Demon he smiled slightly, gesturing over to Aito and June. "Those are Vegeta's parents, they were dead for a while but now they're not. Aito is the guy that made Viral and now he's back to help fix Viral, which has been a long time coming. They seem kind of cool honestly." Even if Aito was pretty casual with aggravating the Beastman, it seemed like an awfully risky move. But hey, he was the smart guy so he had to know what he was doing.
And he doesn't even know it :o

Also have fun killing doods Kitsune, I am jealous :p
Even when the princess actually acted as such it was weird; she didn't seem to fit the part just yet, it was kind of like watching a little kid pretending to play. Tetsuya found it a little hard then to take what was being said seriously, but he couldn't say a word on the matter unless he wanted to get Lord Shima in trouble. For royalty Eri was so... Carefree and relaxed, it was odd. Even when Lord Shima spoke to him casually there was still a sense of authority, yet there was nothing here. Maybe it was the fact they seemed to be the same age, as everyone in power he'd ever met was generally older than he was.

"It's uh... It's an honor, Princess Eri. I am Tetsuya Ueno, the Shima Knight. And I think it's very nice you're trying to get along with the common folk." It seemed like a safe move with everyone going on, trying to endear oneself to their subjects. Sure, Eri wasn't technically the ruler now but she would be someday and it could only benefit her if people liked her. Weird to think that this girl would some day be leading the largest clan, and yet here he was speaking with her in such an informal way. Bowing for what felt like the hundredth time today Tetsuya gave Eri a small smile, still feeling a little confused over all of this. What Rii then had to share with him didn't help that confusion whatsoever.

Whoever Rii was she sure did know a lot, far more than Tetsuya would have credited her for. Even with what little she had said he got the notion she was well aware of a lot of things, making him both curious and wary about her. If Lady Ru couldn't give him the information he needed then perhaps Rii could, if she'd be willing to talk. Interesting that so much worth was being put into Eri, it sounded like she was much more than just some princess. Heck, from the way that Rii was speaking of her it was like she would be the savior of Baji someday. Would she be the one to end this war then? Or was something else even worse going to happen? Man... All this talk of spirits and everything, did he even want to know what this was all about?

"It sounds like you've got your hands full. It can't be easy, having the job you do." Glancing back to Eri, Tetsuya smiled slightly seeing her looking all proud, wondering if this might just be something to pump her up a bit. Didn't having so much expectation being placed on you make you nervous? Yet the princess didn't look like she minded at all, in fact she appeared to revel in it. The Neko could understand in a way he supposed, he had a lot of duty that he was meant to see to for Lord Shima even if he himself didn't feel wholly ready. There were plenty of older, more capable guards who could be conducting this search and yet he'd been chosen for reasons he still didn't understand. All he knew was that Lord Shima trusted him, and he would do everything he could to make sure that trust wasn't misplaced.
