... I need an adult?
I am beginning to worry about your fascination with our young Neko :p
So Eri all spiritual otherworldly time-traveling magic mumbo jumbo. Y'know, normal stuff :o
"Authority? I'm an adult, though nowadays it seems I'm hardly even that," Aito mused, smiling despite himself. He would have been in his mid forties if it weren't for that minor setback of dying, now he was just barely older than his son. What a weird thing to think, that if he didn't know Vegeta or Yumi they could just as well be friends of his now. "I'm plenty used to putting people in their place when they get out of line, trust me. This wouldn't be the first group of hotheads I've been with and I'm sure it won't be the last." So which one was it exactly that was giving Kiton grief? According to the Frost Demon it was the one with the prosthetic limb, or lack thereof by a glance. Hm, of everyone here he seemed the least bit pleased with how things were, Viral notwithstanding. What was his story then Aito wondered, and what made him so bitter and vindictive towards Kiton? There was probably plenty to hear there but that would be neither now or any time soon, there were others who needed his attention first.

"You're still an unknown, you're potentially a threat and so people may be uneasy around you. Plus you've got to take into consideration what your people are known for, it hardly makes you the life of a party now does it? But then that brings me back to what I was saying earlier, about how you have to work to change that image. If you don't want to be stigmatized and treated like a common criminal then you need to prove to everyone that you're not. Try to get along with them, you may find they're far more receptive to you than you think." Aito would have to end their conversation there, wanting to get the shuttle moving already. Kiton's wounds weren't serious but it was best they take care of them quickly, and then Viral needed attention. Sitting around here chatting idly was nice and all but it was also a waste of time, and Aito loathed to waste time. Taking a seat in the control room he went about going over all of the buttons and switches, getting a grasp on the basics before finally getting the engines running again, the thrusters sparking to life as he prepared for take-off.

Haku watched Kiton with a bit of curiosity as he talked, wondering why he was so nervous. Weren't Frost Demons supposed to be really powerful? Even if he was hurt he figured the alien could fight and defend himself, even from the likes of Ricken. Hell, the reason Haku himself was always so uneasy was because he didn't feel able to fight back, but Kiton shouldn't have that problem. Watching as the newly-resurrected man went off to the control room he figured he'd rejoin the Frost Demon for now, maybe try and help alleviate some of his nerves. Everyone else seemed to be making some use of themselves, no reason he should be the only one to sit by idly.

"This seat taken...?" Haku asked, smiling slightly as he took the spot beside where Kiton sat, "You shouldn't worry so much, I'm telling you these people are good. They won't let the rebels do anything to you, and they can help you turn your life around if you want to. Just give them a chance, because sure it might take a while, I'm still working on it, but they can be your friends if you let them."

"There were... But none of them were just tossed aside Viral," June explained, smiling sadly as she continued rubbing his back, "They died. A lot of them were sick when they were born or had complications, and Aito did everything he could to save them. The RRA doctors and the other man Aito worked with wanted to put them down to end their misery, but my husband fought to keep them alive and help them improve. I think that's part of why he's already so determined to get to work, maybe he feels like he owes it to the ones that came before you to take care of you. When he said you're the second best earlier? I know he didn't mean it, because I've never seen him so proud as when you were born." Well, there was Vegeta's birth too of course but they were hardly going to pick favorites of those two. Far as both she and Aito were concerned these two were their children, no matter how they looked, and they could never love one more or less than the other. There was a lot of work ahead of them, but June was confident things were going to work out ultimately.

"If you're so worried Viral I can join you. It's not exact yet but I can calm you down, so I'll be there if you start to feel stressed or something." Yumi could only offer to be a sort of sheath for Viral's blade that was his anger, yet that was more than enough for her. Whatever she could do to help her friend she would, even if it might feel meager compared to what Aito was doing. "Like June said too, you're not going to be replaced. You mean too much to everyone for that to ever happen, and you can't replace someone like that. It doesn't matter if he made another 10, or 100, there can only ever be one you," Yumi added, smiling up at Viral, "And I'll never let anyone try to replace you, neither will anyone else here."

Back on the ship, one hour later.

"Holy crap... I'm so sore..." Takeshi groaned as he lay sprawled across one of the tables. The mother of all meals had just been eaten by much of their group, and they had only just finished recounting everything that happened to those who hadn't come along. With a full stomach and fresh change of clothes he could finally relax, and appreciate just how banged up he had been. All of the healing that Eri had done didn't do much for his tired body, and while the actual wounds themselves were gone it'd be a while yet until he felt totally refreshed. Probably not such a bad thing though, it wasn't like they were going to be fighting again any time soon; getting his ass kicked would make him stronger too, wouldn't it? Hard to say without training or something but he felt a bit tougher for it. That could just be him aching too though.

"You're telling me... I got tossed around like a doll," Haku chimed in, leaning back in his seat with his hands over his stomach, "I still can't believe we killed that thing, it was huge!" He'd been scared as a baby in a thunderstorm earlier, but now that he could look back on it the whole thing was kind of exciting, in a near-death experience sort of way. Hardly as sore as Takeshi was (or claimed to be) he was ready to do a bit of training even, though he hadn't a clue with who. Maybe T'charrl would be up for some, they had trained together before a few times after all. Or Shu, albeit he was pretty sure the young Prince still hated him. He could always try one of these others too, not having seen any of them in a very long time. They were hardly friends before, or acquaintances for that matter, but maybe he could get one of them to agree anyways.

Kabocha smirked in amusement as the two boys complained, rolling his eyes before shaking his head. "Listen to you two, complaining like women. Being sore means you fought hard, you shouldn't be complaining about that. Hell, you'll be even better for it later," he said, glancing over at Shu and T'charrl curiously. "You two are awfully quiet, that because you're not as banged up as they are? Or are you two tougher than them?" After asking that Takeshi tossed an empty carton at him, to which Kabocha ducked under and laughed at his friend's expense. Oops, someone struck a nerve!

Aito was fairly impressed with the resources the medical bay had in store, thrilled too to find that everything he needed was here. Or almost everything, a few instruments were missing that he would require in order to work on Viral. If they were going to put the Beastman under then they were set to go, but Viral had made it abundantly clear earlier that he had no such desire for that. Fair enough, Aito couldn't say he really wanted to do that either; it had been well over a decade and a half since he had spoken to either Vegeta or Viral, there was plenty on his mind. There was the need to examine what his son had done and determine where to pick up from, but he could easily talk as he was doing that. For now however Aito was remaining fairly silent, mostly because he was working with Kiton and his injures. The Frost Demon deserved proper treatment, and Vegeta could tend to Viral for the time being.

"And there... That should be the last of the wounds. That stitch will dissolve over time so don't worry about pulling it, and the gel should help the injuries heal even faster. As for your sore muscles," Aito began, handing over a small pill bottle of supplements, "Take one of these every day for a week. It's a mixture of vitamins that will help you rebuild muscle mass and also repair any damaged tissue. Be sure to take it with food, and don't do anything strenuous for a while after you take it, hear me? It's a fast road to recovery using these but it also puts strain on the body, so anything excessive could cause a tear or more injury."

Vegeta didn't quite know what to do with Viral now, other than sit there and chat. His days of working on the Beastman were at an end, he didn't dare start any treatments now that his father was back; best case scenario his work would have no effect as usual, worst case it would impede whatever Aito might do. He'd made the best efforts he could, and while not good enough he couldn't really offer any more. Something else he also could not offer right now was simple conversation, feeling a little awkward with his father in the room. Just seeing him again after all this time was weird, especially considering the fact he looked exactly as he did all those years ago. And never mind the appearance of his parents, how were they going to explain any of it back on Earth? While one problem was solved a dozen other sprung up in their place, he could only hope that Aito had some kind of plan in mind for handling his miraculous return to the land of the living.

"It's strange... Seeing them again, don't you think?" Vegeta asked, smiling slightly as he watched Aito work, "It's been so long... I hardly know what to feel right now. I mean we're both adults now, almost as old as they are, and yet they're still our parents. I don't need to explain why that's so weird, do I?"

B-But... Cats make great pets ;A;
He will not :o He's a cat, and cats have certain sensitive spots :P

Please don't kill him ;o;
"I think I'll remain here in Ru, if you're offering it. I'd rather make sure I'm not missing anything before I leave," Tetsuya responded, smiling slightly, "And besides... I'm really not sure where I'm going next anyways, so I'd just be wandering until I decided that too." Aside from Shima the young Neko had really not traveled much at all in his life. The trip from his home to Shima itself had all been on one road, avoiding most major areas in case of fighting which meant he'd experienced very little of other clans. All he had to go on now was the general direction, as for the actual location of other towns he had no idea. Pretty damn embarrassing if he had to be honest, he'd not admitted to Lord Shima that he was clueless when given the job either, a fact he was now regretting. A guide might have been really nice for this, or even just someone with more idea of where to go.

Tetsuya hadn't even been paying Eri any mind for a moment, a bit surprised then when she stepped up behind him. When he felt her beginning to rub his ear he had to bite back a happy sigh, his cheeks lighting up again as he squirmed slightly. Darn it, why were people always touching his ears? They weren't playthings! The sensation was awfully nice and he almost felt like nuzzling his head into the princess' hand, but instead he took a small step away, giving her a nervous smile as he turned to face Eri.

"That would be very nice of you, thank you. Lord Shima is in your debt," Tetsuya said, bowing yet again for the millionth time today. At this rate his back was probably going to go out, but this was how you showed gratitude to nobility, wasn't it? He'd seen plenty of people do it towards Lord Shima so that must be the case. Come to think of it though should they be accepting Eri's offer? Having the Naji involved would give them far more resources, but at the same time it meant outsiders would become involved. Tetsuya couldn't say if this was a good idea or not, yet could he really deny a princess when he was just a lowly guard? "Could you just... Please try to keep it secret? It would not only shame Lord Shima if word got out, but people might use it as a chance to do harm. I can't allow Shima or my Lord to be placed in danger because of this, I hope you understand."

Suto wasn't sure what struck him as funny about this, but boy did he need the laugh right about now. It didn't wash away all of the stress and uncertainty it felt and he doubted anything would right now, yet getting to actually smile was nice. Glancing at Kimi curiously as she prodded at his chest he couldn't help but giggle again, a little amused that a girl smaller than him was acting very authoritative. It was kind of cute in an odd way, and harshness aside she didn't seem like that bad of a person. As with before too she had a very two-sided comment, both introducing herself formally and then turning around and berating him again. Did she want to be mean or nice, he wasn't sure.

"Heh... Sorry about that, I get a bit carried away myself sometimes," Suto responded, smiling as he wiped at his cheeks with his hand, "I'm Suto, nice to meet you too Kimi. And good luck with training or whatever it is you're going to do!" Watching as she left he pushed the door closed, or more so as he debated on relaxing for the rest of the day. After today's close call there was no way he was ready to go back into the field, and returning to Fitch and Yari just now was only going to shake him up again. Maybe he had best go ahead and relax then, no reason to do anything that might upset him further. Bringing up his menus he scrolled through his equipment, changing out his battle armor for something a bit more casual; a long-sleeved white shirt with three buttons on the breast, undone lazily with the collar lying out to either side, a pair of well-worn jeans and a pair of simple black boots with plenty of toe room to spare. Satisfied with his change Suto was just about to lie down in bed until someone else came knocking at his door, glancing over curiously to see Nero standing there.

"Nope, no one's in here!" Suto responded cheekily, smirking as he waved to his friend. Just what might he want then? Giving Nero a curious look his face lit up some at the offer, finding the idea of a party to be far more appealing than just sitting by himself in his room. "Do I? Of course I do! And you're coming with me, we'll have a blast!" he declared, walking over and promptly throwing an arm around the other boy's shoulders, turning him around as he left his room, "And yeah, things turned out okay. Whatever happened is probably temporary, like a revival sickness or something. Yari's going to be back to her old self in no time!" That brief little exchange with Kimi had really turned him around, now he was back to his old cheerful self. Hell, he may even be ready to go and see Yari once he got back from the party. There was one slight issue with this plan of theirs though...

"So... Where is the party anyways?"

"Ooooh, I like the idea of food actually! I could go for a nice big steak right about now!" Asari exclaimed, beaming as she placed her hands on her stomach, "Yato! Your turn to buy, right? Let's go find a really nice place, I want to have all sorts of food!"

Yato looked at Asari unamused for a moment before letting out a sigh, reaching up and rubbing at the back of his head in exasperation. "With all due respect you two will eat me to the point of debt, probably past it in fact. I would imagine any steak will do-"

"Oh, I think I know a place we could try! I saw one on the way out of the city!" Cress chimed in, grinning as he reached up and clasped Yato on the back, "Come on Yato, it'll be fun! And we'll pay you back anyhow, so who cares how expensive it is? I say let's have a good time, we did just reach a new floor after all!"

There was no easy way out of this was there? Both Cress and Asari had their minds set on cuisine for whatever reason, and while he could foot the bill it wasn't going to be kind on his wallet. Between dungeon runs and farming he ought to be able to collect plenty of materials, and selling those should see his fortunes return in due time; having his companions promise to reimburse him wasn't the most reassuring of things, they had said that before and yet he'd still not gotten a single Col for them. In spite of his own protests Yato finally relented, letting out another sigh before nodding and starting to walk out of the room.

"Very well, I'll buy you your fancy steaks. Do try to have a little class while we're eating though?" he asked, glancing back at his companions with a frown, "You two eat like rabid animals, it's frankly embarrassing to have to dine with you sometimes."

"Well that's because we're always so hungry!" Asari shot back, puffing out her lower lip as she put her hands on her hips indignantly, storming after Yato, "If we didn't spend so much time in the field and dungeons I wouldn't have such an appetite! Sheesh... And it's not like I'm making you buy a ton of sweets either, it's all good food!"

"Yeah, but even the good food can be bad!" Cress interjected, leaning over to Asari and giving one of her breasts a teasing poke, "I mean look at these things! Everything you eat must go to- OW!"

Yato wasn't paying his companions much mind as he was walking along, only stopping when he heard Cress shout and hit the floor. Looking back at the pair his brow furrowed seeing Asari standing over the redhead, arms crossed under her chest with a red hue on her cheeks. Rolling his eyes in disbelief he placed a hand on his forehead, not even needing to have seen what went on to know. "You are hopeless Cress. Now come along you two, let's go before the monsters begin to respawn. I'd rather not have to fight our way out."
What a difficult case to come back to, as if Viral's own situation wasn't trying enough. Aito didn't mind hitting the ground running but it would have been nice to at least know what he was getting into. To be helping a Frost Demon... That was one unexpected thing he could check off his list now. Actually giving Kiton some assistance wasn't going to be an easy matter, especially when the young alien seemed to be opposed to every bit of support that he might offer. Not that he didn't understand where Kiton was coming from either, as he'd more or less hit the nail on the head with his assessment. People who were always treated poorly would in turn act poorly, it was the only avenue open to them. You couldn't really blame the individual for what they did then, they were only working with what was given to them, which in this case was very little.

"You lost some belongings but you're alive. Forgive me if this is a little cliche, but items can be replaced, a life can't," Aito said, frowning immediately after he said that and rubbing at his head, "Well... Unless you have Dragonballs, then a life can certainly be replaced. But even then... Dying sucks, you don't want to do it, trust me. As far as who will have custody I think I'll go ahead and take watch over you. They can take it up with me if they want, but I'm not allowing someone who may have personal grief with you to assume responsibility, that can't possibly end well." These rebels as they were, he didn't know what they were doing or who they were aside from the very brief tidbits he gathered through conversations. While he was not looking to make enemies on his first day back from the dead he wasn't going to start rolling over for people either, and if he thought Kiton was better off not in rebel hands then he'd stand by that decision, whether they liked it or not.

"Which one has it out for you? I could speak with them if you'd like, I assure you they wouldn't bother you again," Aito said with a smirk as he entered the shuttle, "All the more reason for you to join my son and his friends though, yes? They don't seem to be hostile towards you, regardless of how they might feel. If you've got nothing to return to and you're worried what the rebels may do then going and joining them is the only logical choice." But now was scarcely the time to be picking fights with children, he needed to focus on getting them back to the main ship. Whoever piloted the shuttle before was about to lose their seat as Aito was bent on flying the vessel back himself; it had been years since he'd gotten to do anything, he'd be damned if he was just going to sit down and be a passenger. Entering the control room he looked around curiously, smiling as he began to pour over the different switches and buttons to try and sort them out.

"Aito would never do that to you Viral, he's much too proud of you," June said gently, smiling as she reached out and rubbed Viral's back, "He only wants to help you, that's all. He's certainly not going to try and replace you, you're irreplaceable." It didn't matter if another Beastman was made, or another dozen, there would only ever be one Viral. Maybe it was special because he was the first, or because of who he was, but nothing would ever be done to harm him. There was no better person for this job than Aito himself, and with him at the helm and Vegeta perhaps even helping it was guaranteed that Viral would feel better. It could be weeks, or it could just be a matter of days, but the time where the Beastman would be happy and healthy again wasn't far off.

"He's not going to put you in stasis either, I won't let him do that," Yumi chimed in, leaning over and laying her head on one of Viral's arms. "He can come up with something that doesn't involve putting you under, he has to. No one is going to make you go through this all by yourself, or try to make you forget. Just remember Viral, even though Aito is here we're all still supporting you, even if we can't do what he can. While he does all the hard stuff we'll be right there for support if you need us."
