Ethan wasn't sure how in the world he'd managed to keep up with the girl, but he'd finally caught her; the fact she had run into a dead-end alley was likely the only reason he was speaking to her now, as otherwise she'd be long gone. He'd probably have given up the chase if she wasn't in here honestly, he wasn't that bent out of shape over stale bread. Though it wasn't that far a run from where they had begun he was already winded, likely thanks to having just eaten a fair bit. Reeling over from a combination of shortness of breath and a cramp he smiled tiredly, struggling to get out some coherent speech in between breaths. Not only could he not get mad over losing a scrap of stale bread, but seeing the state the girl was in compelled him to feel sympathetic instead. Maybe she was a local girl, all alone and orphaned. Plus she had that pet with her too, and neither of them looked to be terribly well off.

"Hm...? What was that...?" Ethan asked, standing upright as he gave the girl a kind smile. Whatever she'd mumbled he'd missed, though he figured it wasn't for his ears anyways and so didn't press the matter. Stepping a bit closer he held up his hands passively, keeping on his smile before he stopped just a few feet away, squatting down to come eye to eye with the girl and her cat. "So Wyth is his name huh? Yeah, I can feed Wyth too," he replied cheerfully, reaching out and offering a hand for the moorcat to sniff, "We'll need to find a different place to eat at, that inn was kind of crummy, but we can find you two something nice. And heck, maybe a new shirt or something while we're at it." He didn't have much in the way of cash, but he tended to accrue some here and there by helping out. Last town he was in he'd gotten a few copper pieces for stacking firewood for an older couple, and earlier today he'd gotten a few more for helping to carry some crates. It was hardly going to make him a fortune, but so long as he kept at it he'd have enough to get by.

"I'm Ethan, by the way. I'm kind of a traveler, just passing through the town. And how about you? What's your name?" He was going to ask about her parents, but given the girl's state he figured that was a touchy subject; any child running around all dirty and in rags either had rather nasty folks or none at all, whichever the case may be it'd not be a nice discussion. After introductions were done with the white-haired Magi got back to his feet, adjusting his pack carefully before reaching into it and pulling out a handful of coppers, counting them silently. "20 copper, that should be plenty for a meal, don't you think? Just tell me what you two want and we'll find it."

Hearing a drunk screaming was nothing new in the town, what with the multiple taverns and the inn keeping many of the residents routinely drunk. The guards would not have bothered coming out had it only been the drunkard's cries, but hearing others shouting for aid as well forced them to look into it. With many of their members either currently on patrol or duty only a trio was sent to look into the scene, supposedly caused by a Machina of all things. There wasn't very much in the way of that out here just yet, and one causing problems for people was unheard of. Still, if enough people were raising a stink then something must be up, it was best to go and see what it was. On their way towards the taverns, the trio was distracted by an unusual sight in the town square; a group of disgruntled looking men were currently facing off against a lone individual, and a tall one at that. Upon getting closer they recognized it to be a woman, and a Divined of all things. Seeing one of their kind out here was extremely curious and highly irregular, raising quite a few questions.

"Ey, what're you lot up to here?" one of the guards shouted, frowning as he and his companions parted the crowd, stepping into the open center with his hands on his hips, "You causin' trouble? If you've got issue with this one then don't take it out in the middle of town you morons, there's people about here!"

How odd that a Divined was here, and one that wasn't cloaked or trying to conceal themselves. Having never met one personally before the eldest guard of the group was curious, his pale green eyes holding Grun's features for a silent moment before he finally spoke. "You aren't from around here, are ye?" he asked in a raspy voice, scratching at his white beard as he looked her over from head to toe, "A Divined ain't something you see often miss, so some people might be a bit scared o' ya. Plus we know what your people can do, so I suggest you try keepin' a low profile while you're here. Ain't none of the guard gonna turn you over, but just be careful." Looking over then to the tall man of the group, presumably its leader, the guard frowned and approached them, looking square in the man's eyes as he rested a hand on the hilt of his blade. "She do something to you boys? If not clear out, yer causing a scene and people have got places to be, things to do. Can't be having some dunderheads picking on foreigners in the middle of the town."
"Heh... I've been hurt before Shu and I'll be hurt again, that's just how things go. But I can handle it, don't you worry about me," Takeshi said with a smile, "I'll protect you during the fight, that's all there is to it. As long as I got you helping me from behind I can't lose." He'd find a way to defeat their father one way or another, he'd give it every ounce of energy he had in order to make it happen. Frowning when Shu once again tried to put himself in the battle the older boy looked away as well, letting out a reluctant sigh before turning back and ruffling Shu's hair gently. "You really aren't gonna let me fight by myself, are you? If you've gotta fight too... Okay, but you stay with me the whole time, got it? I don't want you going too far away, want to keep an eye on you and all that, you know?" Chances were too he and Shu were bound to be targeted anyways, and spreading out just made it tougher to keep the two of them safe. Even if their father was stronger than them they certainly weren't going to go down easily, and Takeshi would sooner die than have Shu be taken back to Kortal again. A pretty grim prospect, but if his brother or any of his friends were taken away today then he might very well as be dead, it'd be just as bad if not worse.

Yumi could feel the pressure of everyone's anxiety quite well now, the whole of it bearing down upon her like a massive weight. In a way she wanted to get the fighting underway already, it would mean everyone would be too focused to be afraid, and in turn she'd not have this oppressive feeling right now. It was tricky to say how she felt herself, being swamped as she was. Leaning forward in her seat she closed her eyes tight, holding her head for a moment as she took deep breaths to try and shut out everything around her. Hearing Kabocha's voice over the speaker broke her concentration, forcing her to instead face the anxiety she was picking up instead of trying to block it out. When this was done with she had to learn how to deal with this better, she couldn't be getting all riled up and taut over other people's feelings. Feeling a particularly strong sense of unease coming from T'charrl she glanced over at him worriedly, reaching out and laying a hand on his shoulder. "As long as we're together everything will be fine," Yumi said, offering a small smile, "Krom was strong last time we fought him, but we're all stronger now too. If we deal with him first then the King we can beat them, we just have to be smart about it."

"I doubt we'll get a chance to just fight one of them though," Haku interrupted, frowning as he was staring down at his lap, wringing his fingers together nervously, "Neither of them are dumb enough to fight all of us alone, we'll have to split up..." Divide their already weaker forces to fight two strong enemies, why did he not like the sound of that? It was really their only choice though, it's not like anyone here was strong enough to fight either man one on one. The few of them who had tails could turn Oozaru to try and get a leg up, but that was a real bad idea when fighting someone as experienced as those two. "I... I think we can win, but it's going to get bad before it does..." Just what or who might they lose out here? Haku was no stranger to people dying in combat, that was just a fact of war; he was used to it, but that didn't make it any less pleasant. To top that off the people before had always been strangers, or someone who hated him, but these people were basically his friends. He didn't want anyone to die, or be taken away, or anything bad to happen, but experience told him something was bound to go down before long.

Things seemed oddly... Quiet down here. Kabocha expected tall pillars of smoke designating battle sites, ravaged cities and the countryside to be scarred and in flames. What he saw however as they reached land again was largely untouched scenery, with little if any sign of combat. A crater here and there sure, but nothing that one might expect from the King of Saiyans. It was like back up north, it almost seemed like they had begun to try and minimize damage, but why? Since when did those people in power care about collateral? "This feels weird... I don't like it..." he mumbled, frowning as he scanned the canopies and valleys for signs of movement. There really was nothing out here by the looks of it, nor was he picking up on any immediate energies. The nearest city it seemed was about 5 kilometers away from where they were, being the same place the beacon was originating from. This was probably good a zone as any to set down in then, no sense in risking their shuttle getting wrecked. "I'm setting her down everyone, hang on for just a second," he spoke through the ship's communications, bringing the shuttle to a slightly jarring halt as he awkwardly tried to stop it a bit too soon. Smiling sheepishly he fiddled with the controls for a moment, getting the rockets to die down and shift so they could descend, slowly setting them down among the trees. Best to place it somewhere concealed, it'd really suck if someone came along and did something to it.

When Takeshi felt the shuttle land he held his breath for a minute, perhaps paranoid that they would be hit the moment they had touched down. Others seemed to share his sentiment as no one immediately moved to get up, albeit it could just be nerves in going into the fight itself. After a brief moment of tense silence the door to the cabin finally slid open, Kabocha coming out with an uneasy smile on his face. Time to get moving then, they really couldn't up and leave now and sitting here wouldn't solve anything. Undoing his harness he turned to Shu and undid his as well, smiling as he got up and squatted before his brother. "Look... I'll say it again buddy, I'm going to protect you, okay? Fight with me if you've gotta, but I want you to listen too, got me? If I say back off then back off, let your big brother do the hard stuff."
To go from a near death experience to a party at a beach, one might almost think they were insane. And hey, perhaps they were, running around trying to beat a game that could cost you your life. Maybe they were all a bit wacky for the way they were acting, but damn if it wasn't fun! Suto would have it no other way, and frankly the attitude as of recent was very much needed; since Yari's accident the mood of the group had been glum for a while, so a trip like this was a very welcome change of pace. More or less a party, it was their own little way to celebrate reaching the 27th floor and to blow off some stress. Their small group of friends weren't the only ones to come here this evening, but then that made it even more enjoyable. Overall the mood was a jovial one, and things would only get better as the evening wore on.

Donning a simple set of white swim trunks with a single black streak down either side, Suto was having plenty of fun for the moment watching others run about and swim in the water. There was something nice about watching other people be happy, it made him feel all warm inside for some odd reason. He'd be joining the other players as soon as the rest of their group arrived, as they were still waiting on one or two people. When Nero and Yuna had shown up he followed after them, curious to see where it was the group would be setting up; had he known their search would last for nearly twenty minutes he might well as just waited back where he'd been. The spot she had ultimately settled on however was nice, right along one of the many palm trees dotting the beach. Not like they needed the shade of the tree this time of day, but it added to the atmosphere and just looked nice. Watching amused as Nero and Yuna discussed the latter's uncertainty he let out a small laugh, stifling it with a hand as not to seem rude.

Suto looked to Nero curiously when his friend came on over, his face immediately taking on a deep red hue at the mention of Minerva. "W-What...? You invited her too...?" the martial artist stammered, blinking as he clenched his towel nervously, "B-B-But... I mean if she comes she's gonna be in a swimsuit, a-and..." As if his face couldn't get any redder, it looked like he was about to pass out with all the blood rushing to his head. Not realizing Yari had come to join them he near jumped out of his skin when called to, yelping and spinning around to look at his friend, smiling sheepishly. "Oh! Yari! Yeah, no worries, I'm not going anywhere!" Suto replied, beaming as he hurried over to his friend, laying out his towel a few feet from hers and giving his hands a dusting once done, "I'll go find Fitch, then we can get this party going for real!"

Their friend wasn't too far off luckily, though he did seem to be a bit detached from the rest of the group. Spotting Fitch off on his own Suto frowned, rubbing at his chin as he wondered how to make his friend to loosen up. Getting an idea after a moment an impish grin spread across his face, and with a chuckle he ran over to where the other boy was, jumping slightly once he got there and trying to land on Fitch's back. "Hi ho horsey, awaaaay!" he laughed, giving yet another yelp when he inadvertently slid off and landed on his rear, laughing nonetheless. "Dang it! Come on Fitch, let's get settled in so we can start! I want to go swimming, don't you?"

Luna was still with the group, just a ways behind the others. She couldn't be getting covered in sand as that would mean being messy, and being messy meant having to clean and take time out of her schedule. Much as she tried to deviate from having such a thing she found herself slowly slipping back into the habit, albeit her schedules were far more lenient than those her parents would create. It didn't help either that she had perhaps a bit too much in the way of items for the beach: a towel and a simple, purple one piece suit were a given, the latter she was already wearing: an umbrella laid slung over her right shoulder: a cooler with food in it dragged behind her in her free hand: and a bag of assorted necessities, as a girl could never be too prepared. Upon finally reaching everyone else she frowned from behind her items, placing them down and looking between Fitch and Suto. "You know... If one of you two were a gentleman then you'd offer to help me carry these. It's a pain to do it all myself!"

Suto looked past Fitch to see Luna just in time to get snapped at, smiling apologetically and immediately rising to his feet. "S-Sorry, I'll get it all moved for you right away!" he said quickly, hurrying over and scooping up everything he could grab. In his haste of doing so he was left stumbling off with the items precariously perched, having to sway and grasp at things every step to keep it from falling off. Using his feet to feel around for an empty spot he finally found place to set them, smiling as he simply dropped everything in place. "There we go, you're all set Luna," Suto declared, turning around as he grinned, closing his eyes and gave her a thumbs up, "If you need anything else feel free to ask!" Catching wind of a familiar, annoyed growl he opened his eyes just in time to see Luna charging at him, gasping and holding his hands up defensively before he was punched, getting knocked off of his feet and flipping through the air comically before landing face first in the sand, his rear sticking up until he sat on it and began spitting out sand.

"I have important things in there you brute, don't just go dropping it on the ground!" Luna shouted, holding a fist up threateningly as she shouted over Suto's string of apologies, "And don't apologize so much! Clean that sand off of yourself too, you're going to track it everywhere!" Hmph, what was she, his mother? Seeing as he was still apologizing she softened up after, giving a roll of her eyes before looking away and waving her hand in his direction. "Okay, okay, apology accepted, just cut that out, it's weird. Don't do it again and we won't have any problems." Hmph, now then she could perhaps get settled down and relax for a change. Digging her towel out of the pile at her feet she gave it a thorough shaking, laying it out a little closer to the water by Suto and Yari, smiling at the latter as she sat down. "You look nice by the way Yari, I've never seen that suit before."

"It's not too late for help, don't be silly. Viral's really bad so it's going to take a while, that's all. You're nowhere near as bad as he is, we can probably fix you in a couple of days," Takeshi replied, smiling as he tried to cheer Shu up, "We can help Viral, and we can definitely help you, so don't worry so much, okay buddy?" Compared to Viral, the little guy basically had no problems at all. Sure he had nightmares, but he was eating and sleeping, plus he could still smile and have fun. That wasn't really a whole lot to have to fix, and when they finished up on this planet they could finally get to helping it. "Well... How about you just help me, can you do that?" Takeshi asked, "I'll fight, you just help from the back, you know? Shoot a blast or two at him, just watch where he is, you know? I'll do the fighting, you be my back up." If the little guy agreed to that idea then everyone won; Shu wasn't going to have to fight their father and Takeshi didn't have to worry about him getting hurt. No doubt Shu would be in danger even then, but if he could just keep their dad preoccupied and the others Krom then there wasn't any problem. "We're gonna beat them, you got me? We're going to make them pay for hurting our friends, then we're gonna come back and make everyone all better!"

Haku wasn't sure what good he could do for T'charrl now, albeit he needed quite a bit of reassurances himself too; his friend had never seen Yamate, or probably even an Elite for that matter so he didn't have any clue what they were getting into. The fact that everyone on board was nervous ought to be indication enough, and he saw it potentially making his friend uneasy too. "If I'm lucky he'll just make fun of me. We're going to fight him though, I doubt it'll be that painless," the Saiyan lamented, sighing as he slouched back in his seat. Feeling the shuttle lurch slightly, Haku knew that their trip to Numina was beginning and he felt quite nervous about that. It was intimidating enough having to fight the Princes and T'charrl back then, now he was facing off against the King? Sighing softly, Haku hung his head before turning it slightly to look at his friend, managing a weak smile. "You're way stronger than most of us here, you'll probably be the one to beat him, just like with the monster," he answered, frowning when T'charrl mentioned changing. "You don't have to, you're plenty strong without that. That's... That's probably just them talking because they're scared, but I won't make you change and neither should they."

Even if they didn't have the coordinates for Numina, finding the world wouldn't have been overly difficult. There were only a handful of worlds out here by Uuonoe, and fewer still were colonized by people. If just looking at the world from space didn't make it obvious, then entering the atmosphere and seeing freshly razed cities scattered along the surface certainly did. It was far from the all-out destruction one might have come to expect from the King and his troops, but it was still nasty nonetheless; buildings were left smoldering and crumbled, and no doubt countless soldiers down below had lost their lives in the battles. Kabocha kept their shuttle up high enough to avoid any potential crossfire, that and out of a desire of not wanting to see everything firsthand. Saiyans were a bit cruel when they fought, he knew that personally, but the King had a special brand of cruelty for those who opposed him. If there were any survivors down below they were facing that gruesome scene now, and just thinking about it made his stomach churn uncomfortably. As they headed in a southerly direction he noticed that patches had evidently been spared ruin, which was odd considering who was here. Why would certain places be left untouched?

After looking around at the controls for a few moments Kabocha finally found the speaker system, having only barely familiarized himself with the console beforehand. Flipping it on he let out a silent sigh, looking through the glass of the cabin out at the ocean below them. "Alright... The distress call came from this direction, about a kilometer out. We should get there in a couple of minutes, but I'm putting us down before it, we'll go in on foot so the shuttle doesn't get damaged. Anyone got a problem with that bring it up here, but I'm not losing our only ticket out of here."

Unsurprisingly no one came forward to complain, not that anyone had any reason to. If things did go south then they may need to try and escape, and doing so without any ship would make things infinitely more difficult. Takeshi was fine with going in on foot anyways, it meant they might be able to get the jump on one of the men and land a good blow before the fighting even began. That would only work of course if everyone suppressed their energy to absolute zero, which while they had tried to before entering the atmosphere there was no guarantee it had worked. At the very least they hadn't been attacked just yet, which either meant they were still clear or wandering into a trap. Rubbing at his head he glanced over at Shu, seeing his younger brother still quite nervous over what was going on. "Hey... Hang in there buddy, it'll be okay," he said, reaching over and giving Shu's back a rub, "Like we talked about before, let your big brother handle the fighting, you just blast 'em from where you are and everything will be cool, got it?" They had refined Shu's Ki control somewhat, and now was a good a time as any to test just how well. Flight should be fairly easy at this point, and while they'd not done extensive practice with blasts he was fair confident he'd not get blown away by the little guy on accident.
Katsu really didn't want to have to tell the others this, but it felt better if he did; Yakedo was essentially a stranger to them far as he knew, it should come from someone they knew at the very least. Like before when he'd tried to tell Siku he was the Avatar, she once again did not believe him. Sighing to himself he looked at the Water Bender somberly, watching as she looked to Hideki for confirmation and her expression immediately changed. Just as he had worried, she was not taking the news of having to leave well at all, fighting against it however she could. Ashamed of bringing this upon them, Katsu looked away from the group and closed his eyes, letting his former master explain everything while he tried to brace for the inevitable guilt-ing he was going to get.

Cringing when he heard Siku snap, Katsu finally and reluctantly turned back to face her, his expression one of pain and apology. There was nothing he could say to make this better, not to Siku or Asha or anyone. Families were going to be disrupted because of him, and they may not even be able to say why they were leaving; reasons like this were precisely the reason he had tried to keep his true identity a secret. Matters were made worse when Siku tried to play off his role in all of his, his chest feeling tight as he shook his head wordlessly. No, it wasn't their fault, it was his, all his. If he just hadn't been born, or had just sucked it up and stayed in training then none of this would be happening. No bystanders getting hurt, no friends losing their families, and no one would be at risk because of him. It was a selfish reason that he was here in Republic City to begin with, and it was that selfsame reason that had ruined things for everyone now.

Today had begun with Katsu not giving much care for anyone else in this room, but now he felt terribly guilty and in service to them. Even if Siku could bring things with her, or if Asha said she was fine with leaving he sincerely doubted that both were a hundred percent okay. It was his fault this was happening, and as such he should be trying to correct things to get them back home, but how? What could be done to help that along? At most he could try and protect them, something he'd done marginally back in the sewers. The world may not need the Avatar right now, this much was true, yet these two girls could probably use him. Wherever they ended up then he'd be certain to keep them out of harm's way, safe from anyone that might try to do him or them harm. A burden perhaps, but one he should have to carry for his role in all of this.

"If there's anything I can do for you two, anything at all, just name it..." Katsu offered weakly, looking between Siku and Asha. Hearing a soft whimpering he glanced down to his feet, watching Koinu as he rubbed against his leg, begging to be held. Smiling sadly and obliging his companion he lifted the small animal up, hugging him before letting out a sigh. "I don't know where we can go... But I know some people in the Fire Nation, maybe we can start there? Unless you don't want to travel all that way." Of all the nations, the Earth Nation was probably the closest to them, if he had to guess. As things stood currently the nations really weren't quite as dividing as they had been in the past, but they still existed in at least name. "I'll uh... I'll try and get in touch with someone, so we have a place to stay. If you think that would be okay, Yakedo?"
Aye! Obviously we'll all be together at points, but right now where we're kind of spread out there's no reason :)
Takeshi wanted desperately to keep Shu at least moderately okay on their way out, however he might do that. Maybe the promise of home would work, as the little guy had rather liked their house during their brief stay there. "Well... I'll show you how it works too, okay? I'll show you how a ton of stuff works," the older boy replied with a smile, "I guess we're long overdue for some lessons, but when we finish this I'll start teaching you stuff, okay?" It was kind of hard teaching Shu about Earth when they weren't even on the planet, and it didn't make much sense teaching him when things were so different everywhere else. Shu did really want to know this stuff though, and it was about time they actually did teach him. "Vegeta and his dad will know what to do for you. And even if they can't help, I'll ask them what to do. Then I can help you, you know? And don't act like it's a pain buddy, they wanna help you and all, people are just busy right now." Or maybe they didn't know how to help him, though he doubted that was completely the case; Takeshi earnestly wasn't sure what to do with Shu, but the rest of their friends were much smarter than he was, they should have some idea. Reaching around his brother he grabbed the straps of the seatbelts, gently strapping him up and giving his chest a pat, "Just uh... Focus on getting home, alright? We'll be in and out today, and your big brother isn't going to let anything bad happen to you."

Yumi really wanted to try being positive right now, to keep both herself and those around her in good spirits. Doing so however was proving to be difficult, there was too much stress and negativity floating around to even try. Sitting in her place in the shuttle she leaned forward some, having to close her eyes and take a few deep breaths as she worked on forcing out all the emotions, managing to close them off to some degree and relieve the discomfort a bit. When she opened her eyes again she could tell everyone was nervous, but at least now she wasn't feeling it quite as much. Shu was trying to be comforted by Takeshi, and the twins were off by themselves as usual, with Kabocha taking the controls it seemed. T'charrl looked like something was really eating at him, and she was about to get up and check on him until Haku moved beside their friend, striking her as a bit odd but nonetheless making her smile slightly. So long as everyone had someone to help them out they would be fine, both here and on the battlefield. Easing back into her seat, Yumi pulled down her seat belts and strapped herself in, hearing the engines spark to life just outside. Hopefully it was going to be as easy as they had said, though she wasn't going to hold her breath for the King and his crony to just roll over for them.

"Hey... So we're really doing this aren't we?" Haku asked, smiling nervously as he sat down beside T'charrl. Chuckling uneasily he grabbed his seat belt and fiddled with it for a moment, trying not to tremble as he attempted to get himself strapped in. "He really doesn't like deserters, the King... And half of us are deserters... I wonder what he'll say..." Nothing good obviously, he was rather glad there would be others there with him. As an individual himself he wasn't terribly strong, and one could only hope because of that reason he wasn't going to be targeted for leaving the military; Why waste time punishing him when he wasn't a threat? Letting out a shaky sigh he leaned back into his chair, slinking down slightly as the engines came to life and the shuttle began to rumble. "Can we... Fight together when we get down there? If it's alright with you I'd like to," Haku said, glancing over at his friend uncertainly, "I'd feel a lot safer having someone strong like you with me, especially with who we're fighting. I don't know how much help I can be, but I'll do what I can." Feeling the shuttle lurch briefly, thanks to Kabocha's unfamiliarity with the ship, it finally rose up into the air after a moment and began moving, probably on towards their destination. Swallowing nervously, Haku shifted around in his chair and looked down at the floor, "This is going to be hard..."
Just looking for a general consensus here: I figured wait for everyone to post once to get everyone in, but now I don't know whether we ought to keep the posting order or not. Let me know what you guys think :)
There had to be some word on where Cedric had gone, it wasn't like the Church made any qualms about publicizing their taking of Magi. Someone here was bound to know something, it was simply a matter of finding someone who'd talk. Of course finding information was only half the battle too, Ethan didn't know much beyond his home town and was going to have to figure out where things were awfully quick. If he just kept heading east like he had been then he was bound to start hitting the cities, and there he ought to be able to find more information. Great plan... If only he knew which way was east. He'd been taught how to discern direction based on the sun's position once, yet now that he actually needed it he was hopelessly lost. Maybe a guide would help, albeit that meant using his already meager savings for paying someone, which likely meant one less meal at the very least.

That was provided he could even find a guide. If someone was to show him around then he'd be honest about what he was doing, and not many people would appreciate the task he was taking on. Cedric had been taken away like a common criminal, and no doubt people had heard of his arrest or even seen it by now. With his plan being to basically spring free a prisoner he doubted there were many who'd aid him in that, as messing it up could well mean being arrested by the Church as well. Having anyone help him with this was a huge gamble, one that most people likely would not be willing to take. He needed a guide pretty badly, yet finding one was hardly going to be an easy matter.

"I probably should have thought this through better..." Ethan lamented, letting out a sigh as he hung his head. Deciding he might as well just go about asking around for the time being he moved to put the map away, barely folding the piece of paper up before someone came darting by, relieving him of his last bit of bread. It happened so quick that at first he didn't realize what happened, noticing the lack of anything in his right hand and glancing up to see a small figure bounding away in the crowd. It didn't take a genius to figure out what had happened, and he'd not let the last of his meal be stolen, no matter how crummy it might have been. "H-Hey, that's mine! Get back here!" Oblivious to the Ydran girl who had just come out, he took off after the bread-thief, determined to catch her and make her give his bread back. The little girl had no problems running through the crowds it seemed, but Ethan had to make quite the effort to slip by people and not barrel someone over in the process.

Just when he looked to be catching up to the girl too, Ethan found himself running square into a wall, or what felt like a wall. So focused on his target he hadn't noticed the other person walking around the corner, nearly barreling them over and ending up on his rear as a result. After a brief stumble he looked at the person worriedly, his face flush with embarrassment as he chuckled, "H-Hey, sorry! My mistake!" he said quickly, giving a half-wave before continuing his chase. He had just caught sight of the girl and her pet rushing into an alleyway, and lo and behold when he got to the entrance of it she was still there, evidently trapped with the fence at the other end. A bit winded from the chase and still red in the face, Ethan smiled as he leaned forward, placing his hands on his knees in an attempt to catch his breath.

"Y-You... My bread... Not nice..." he managed to get out, smiling tiredly as he stood upright and wiped his forehead down with his sleeve, "You... You don't want that bread anyways, it's stale, pretty sure." Huh, now that he was actually getting a good look at the girl he realized how scrappy she looked, wearing hardly anything more than rags and looking a bit thin. Poor kid, must be one of those orphans or something judging by her appearance. He'd never really had much intention of punishing the girl to begin with, and seeing her now Ethan felt a compulsion to help her out. Putting his hands up to show he meant no harm he slowly approached her, giving the girl and her pet a kind smile. "I bet you're hungry huh? Let's try again, how about I buy you something to eat? Something not stale, how's that sound?"
"None of us want to fight them Choi, so that's why I'm saying let Shu and T'charrl do it when they change. They'll attack those two no problem, and I bet they're strong enough to even take Yamate down. They beat those two creeps, the war's over and none of us were hurt, seems like a win-win to me." Sure, the idea of sending those two into the line of fire wasn't super appealing, but then neither was doing the same deed themselves. Really the two of them changing was the best chance of winning and keeping casualties low, if not zero. Choi was not at all for idea, though his twin seemed to be more along with the notion. "Exactly, they're bound to change whether we want them to or not, might as well start that way and let them handle it," Kabocha replied, starting to move as everyone else was going to the shuttle, "We could support them, probably the best way for us to tackle this fight. I guess though we can't make them change, we'll just have to wait and see what happens." That was if they even changed before the fighting began, chances were it wouldn't happen until later, if at all. Loathe as he was to admit it Kabocha pretty much knew he was going to end up fighting, like it or not.

Takeshi didn't give a damn how strong those men might be, or what might happen to him in the process, he would protect Shu. Not an easy task to be sure, certainly not when one considered he'd like to protect all of his friends as well: Viral's kidnapping had been made infinitely more problematic due to this sentiment, it was his mistake that he and Shu had ended up in captivity, all over wanting to keep his friends out of it. Things were different now though, he was stronger and knew what both men were capable of, for the most part. "Dad's not going to separate us, okay? I'll never let him." Moving ahead of the crowd he got into the back of the shuttle, finding himself a seat along the side and getting Shu down beside himself. It wasn't going to be all that long of a ride out there, best to keep together and try and relax as much as possible between now and then. Hoping to perhaps distract Shu with a different topic, Takeshi brought up returning home to Earth and making some renovations on their house. "We can make a room however you want buddy, okay? We'll use whatever money we got left and make it happen," the older boy remarked, smiling sadly when Shu expressed his worry about being alone. He really hadn't been helping that problem at all, had he? It had all been hoping that they might forget about it, but he was beginning to have to accept that the problem wouldn't just go away. "After we finish today I'll start helping you feel better, and I'll get the others to help too. By the time we get back you'll be back to your old goofy self," he added, reaching over and playfully pinching Shu's nose, "You'll see, things will get better."

Yumi stood at the rear of the shuttle until everyone was inside, sending one last look out the back before sighing and moving in further. Vegeta wasn't kidding when he said he'd prepared the ship for them, there were crates of supplies lining the far walls as well as some sets of armor for them to use. This was going to be one long day, hopefully half of these supplies would never have to be touched. It was naive to think everyone was going to get out unharmed, but she could remain hopeful at the very least injuries would be minimal at worst, so long as people worked together. At the sound of the rear door closing up she glanced towards the control room, seeing Kabocha settling in at one set of controls. Smiling faintly she found herself an empty seat along the wall, easing down into it and looking around at the group again. It was a damn shame she still wasn't totally sure how to use her calming powers, everyone could make use of that right now. Though to be fair she was hardly calm herself, so it wasn't like she'd be able to do it anyways.
