"Er... That's one way to look at it, I suppose," Caelan remarked, furrowing his brow as he gave Link a funny look, "You... Know what I did before this, right? I'm a treasure hunter, I've had more than enough trouble come my way. If you think some fighting is going to make me miss what could be the biggest haul ever then you're wrong." Something had to come of this journey, there was no way he'd go through this entire thing and not make some sort of a profit. Who knows, maybe for playing a part in helping to settle this mess he'd even be rewarded by the royal family, now that would make it worthwhile. Kind of forgetting Demoko was with them, Caelan glanced at the older man curiously as he began going on, recounting all they had done and would do. Sheesh, wasn't there a way to go about this that didn't involve fighting all the most dangerous of beasts?

Things got a touch awkward there for a moment when Link began getting snippy, something unusual in his experience. All of them were exhausted from that ordeal, his own body felt like there were several rocks tied to it and weighing it down, but he wasn't going to have a fit over it. Then again he wasn't being tasked with saving the world either, so that pressure wasn't felt on his end. The fact they were going to make an attempt at rescuing the princess sounded like a suicide mission right now, what with their exhausted states and reduced numbers. Even if they were at full strength though he was hard pressed to see it happen; Onyx had barely been defeated, how were they supposed to beat whoever else awaited them? The fact they needed pieces of the Triforce of all things told him just how dangerous this business was, and it was almost enough to make Caelan back out then and there. If he did though then he may lose out on one heck of an adventure, not to mention whatever goods might be lying in wait.

"If you're going to go do that, then Link and I should rest for a bit," Caelan suggested, "I mean, we're basically the group for now, right? There's no way we're getting anything done like this, so we might as well call it a day here." That aside, there wasn't any chance Link was doing much of anything right now, he could tell that much. Their best chance was to relax for the day, maybe once he got enough strength back he could heal them up, and then and ONLY then should they be on their way. Giving himself one last shake to try and get rid of some water, the mage let out a sigh and ruffled his damp hair, looking up stream and wondering just how many people had ended up falling today. A bit of a grim thought, but that had been a mother of a battle and he'd not seen anyone walk away. "At any rate... I don't think we really have any plan, so nothing to do other than sit back and take a load off for the day. You two got any idea where the nearest town is? I could go and buy us some supplies, looks like we need them."
With T'charrl out of the picture, not to mention the others, it came down to him to beat Krom. The fact that the guy had so casually hurt his friend like that nearly drove Takeshi into one of his frenzies, yet somehow he managed to keep it together... Mostly. Now that he didn't have to worry about accidentally hitting a friend he could let loose more, and as such his attacks became more focused and powerful. Firing off a Ki blast near point-blank he frowned when a cloud was kicked up around them, fighting through it and following the Elite's energy to attack, slamming his fists into blocks once more. "We've beaten you twice already, we'll do it again," the Prince retorted plainly, growling as he gave a hard kick at Krom's side, backing off whether it landed or not, "I'll beat you again." Going back in for the attack he made a straight dash at Krom, using an after-image technique to fade through the Elite before reappearing in the same spot a second later, hoping it tricked the guy, probably expecting a flank, as he threw a hard strike at his stomach.

All it had taken was a moderate blast to beat those four, how pitiful. If they were ever going to make half-decent soldiers then they had much improvement to undergo, otherwise they'd just remain fodder to the wolves. Considering the opportunities afforded to them the only conclusion Yamate could reach was they had been neglecting their training, something which seemed quite silly given they were soldiers. Scoffing before shaking his head with disappointment he glanced back at Takeshi and Krom, not surprised to find the former's energy spiked again, out of rage no doubt; Shu's was bound to follow suit, perhaps now was a good a time as any to test the youngest boy. Glancing over at Shu, the King smiled and moved forward at a sudden burst of speed, coming to stand over his son. "We are Saiyans, fighting is our livelihood. And your view of what is good and bad is different than mine, not that I would expect you to understand such a thing, you're a child." Sure enough there was that spike in energy as he'd suspected, and a fairly large spike at that. Whether it was the limit of Shu's strength or not he couldn't quite tell, but it was making this a bit more interesting at least.

"Excellent... Let's see what you can do now." The King waited in anticipation for Shu's attacks, but he hadn't been prepared for the speed his son would demonstrate. He had only just seen the young Prince move in when the fists started flying, quickly back-stepping to avoid being struck. In just a fraction of a second the boy had gone from timid and helpless to a furious warrior, this was excellent; driven by emotions and made stronger for it, this was precisely what he wanted to see from his children. Breaking into a grin, Yamate let out a curt laugh, vanishing and reappearing directly behind Shu, trying to deliver a kick to his back to knock him away. "Good! Use that anger, grow stronger! Show me what your true power is!" he shouted excitably, "Give me a reason to call you my son!"
Ethan might normally have made this run himself were his entire body not as limp as a wet noodle right now. It had been quite a while since he had cast a spell that big, or any spell for that matter; traveling peacefully really didn't require any magic, so he'd not been practicing. He supposed he should count himself lucky he hadn't overdone it, as there were worse things than being brought to the brink of exhaustion. By the time they were well out of the settlement and placed down all he could do was laugh over the whole ordeal, not entirely certain how it had escalated so quickly. He'd gone from a run-of-the-mill morning in a tavern to battling some men in suits, and nearly blowing away an entire street in the process. It was a touch ridiculous in hindsight, and maybe he ought to have used his magic to help them flee faster, rather than create a miniature wind tunnel.

"Ha... Oh, right! Sorry, brain's kinda... Not working right now," Ethan admitted with a sheepish grin, "Thanks for the help... Cecil. Guess you really are a Machina, eh? That's really something else, never... Met one of you before." A bit unusual given the few he'd seen were all in shambles or were very clearly robotic; Cecil looked like a boy, maybe an augmented one but a boy nonetheless. The world was funny like that though, you saw something a little different every day it seemed. "You're safe now, that's what matters. Shame we had to leave like that, but can't be helped!" Smiling up at their newest friend amused, the white-haired boy noticed ruffling in some bushes behind them, peering past the Machina to see a cobra fox coming out of the brush, and a Ydran woman not far behind it. Oh boy, was she someone else looking to hurt Cecil? He really didn't have another spell in him, he certainly hoped not.

She didn't sound hostile when she spoke, but rather more curious and maybe even amused. So his magic had been something of a spectacle to her, that was nice to know. Smiling sheepishly at the comments he shrugged his shoulders, giving Amuné a curious glance behind him. "Did you...? Well sorry, I can't say I recognize you. Today's been a weird one, forgive me for being a bit scatterbrained." Ethan was a bit surprised he hadn't died either, especially given how out of practice he was. That one may not have done him in but he sure as sin wasn't casting anything else for the rest of the day; with how slowly his magic tended to return he'd not chance even the simplest of spells, lest he push himself too far. At any rate they seemed to be safe out here, albeit it might not hurt to move in just a bit further, and off the road for that matter.

"If it's okay with you all, we'll save the chatting for later..." Ethan began, pushing himself back onto his feet a bit unsteadily, "Those people will probably look for us, and we're not that far really. We should head further into the woods, maybe head... Uh..." Which way had they come anyways? It had been the opposite side of the settlement, but which way had he come in again? From the west? So that meant they left to the east, or maybe the north. Letting out a silent groan he reached back into his bag again, grabbing his map and uncurling it, studying the sheet carefully. "We should head... Away, how's that? At least until we know we're safe," Ethan said as he curled the map back up, smiling at everyone, "Since we're all here we might as well set up camp together, then we can part ways in the morning, if that's what you all want. No sense in splitting up now though, it'll get dark soon."

He wasn't wrong, as fairly quickly the sun had begun to set in the sky. It might not have been quite such a drastic change were they not in the middle of the woods, given that minimal sunlight made it in here already. Having found a decent spot off of the road, firewood was gathered and debris was cleared to make a suitable sleeping arrangement. They would be roughing it out here tonight, as not a single person had anything like a bedroll to make the evening any better; to try and accommodate Amuné however, Ethan had taken off his coat and offered it to her as a blanket, hoping to just make things a little easier on the child of the group. Once things had been put in place it didn't take the white-haired Magi very long to fall asleep, still quite worn out from today's casting. He didn't know when the others had gotten to sleep, yet once the sun had begun pouring down from the canopy he was the first awake, feeling properly recharged after sleeping off his exhaustion. To his confusion however he noticed they were one short as he looked around, failing to spot Asta or her cobra fox anywhere. Had they left last night, or earlier this morning? Shame they had gone so soon, it would have been interesting to talk and get to know them more. Shrugging it off he stood and stretched out for a moment, giving his side a scratch as he wondered if going to look for food might not be a bad idea.
Takeshi felt like an idiot for getting thrown like that, it was such a basic thing and yet he hadn't seen it coming. They had practiced the same sort of thing at least a dozen times over when he was on Kortal, how in the hell didn't he expect it? Because he was an idiot now T'charrl was facing off alone against Krom, at least temporarily. Snarling angrily when Krom took a blatant shot at him he started back at the man, watching as T'charrl was knocked away from the man. "Elite? Screw that, I'm already better than you!" the Prince snapped, vanishing and reappearing just above Krom, Ki in both hands before he threw it down. Following after his own blast he went right into the cloud that formed, trying to attack his opponent from either side, aiming to hit him in the ribs and maybe break something, slow him down. "Don't underestimate me!" Whether his strikes to the side landed or not he'd just keep going, throwing punch after punch just wanting to hurt Krom.

Yamate didn't have any desire to end this battle too soon, but much akin to being swarmed by flies it was both a nuisance and a waste of his time. He was not here to gauge the strength of these children, it was his own two sons he was more interested in. To the credit of these four they did manage to get him off balance, albeit it was hardly equivalent to winning the fight. They wouldn't heed his words, so perhaps a show of strength was in order to be rid of them. Gathering up Ki all over his person he released it at once in a concussive blast, a largely invisible yet powerful shockwave that shot out with him at the epicenter. The twins were the first to go, being thrown aside like paper in the wind as they each slammed into the pavement quite hard. Yumi was sent off in the near opposite direction, flying through an already broken window and ending up in a ruined building; Haku was thrown into a metal container, denting it before collapsing at the foot of the object. Smirking amused at how easily they had been defeated, Yamate wiped the corner of his mouth and took a glance around to try and spot his other son. It seemed like his youngest hadn't grown at all over these few months, he was just as meek as ever.

"Come now Shu, that's no way for a proud warrior to behave," Yamate said aloud, laughing as he began approaching the young Saiyan, "Show some mettle, or at least suck up your fear and fight with it, don't cower like a newborn. Do you honestly mean to tell me that this is what my son has to offer?" At least Takeshi was fighting, albeit he was just as reckless and predictable as ever. Shu had the potential to be so powerful, yet he'd never be able to show that if he was too cowardly to even watch a fight, let alone participate in one. Taking a casual glance at the twins crumpled along the pavement he sniffed in disinterest, giving a soft click of his tongue before smiling at Shu again. "No one is left to protect you, it's time for you to fight my son," the King mumbled, suddenly dashing ahead and coming to a standstill right before his youngest, grinning amused, "Or will you let their efforts be for naught?"
"I said keep Shu out of it!" Takeshi snapped, furious even as he was struck by Krom. They were fighting, not his little brother, he shouldn't be ignored like this. Glowering up at the Elite he finally managed to grab at one of his swinging arms, firmly locking it beneath one of his own and going to throw in hard strikes of his own. They were being blocked, but at the very least now it meant the man couldn't get away from him, and sooner or later he'd find an opening. After a moment of swinging he finally took a break in his hits, only because he was stunned by what was behind Krom. Looking past the Elite at his friend T'charrl his eyes widened, shocked that he had changed so suddenly. Taken aback by the abrupt shift he wasn't aware the guy had tried to pull him around, yet once it hit him Takeshi pulled back, firmly planting himself and instead trying to toss the Elite over himself. Unfortunately for him however he was a bit too late for that, and instead felt himself lifted up as he was forced to let go, doing his best to avoid hitting T'charrl and awkwardly clipping his friend's shoulder as he tumbled to the side, hitting a street post and groaning as he bent it in half, landing on his feet and immediately clutching his back in discomfort. Crap, now T'charrl had transformed, was it even safe for him to fight too?

Yumi didn't know what in the world she was thinking attacking the King like this, but she had to do something. So long as everyone else was fighting then Shu and Haku would be safe, that would have to do for now. Being caught up in the fight now she didn't notice T'charrl having changed immediately, and after seeing him by being knocked back she sent a worried glance his way, giving a shake of her head before returning to her own battle. The twins lead the way on this strike, and she followed closely behind by rushing in then dropping low, trying to slam her foot into the man's knee and cripple him. Watching in disdain as he blocked both punches by Kai and Choi then simply jumped over her leg she growled angrily, throwing her arms up once more as she was kicked in turn, skidding back across the ground before rolling over and flipping up, getting into a low squat before dashing back in again. While they weren't exactly getting in any hits they were at the very least backing him up, and even more so thanks to Kabocha rejoining the fray.

"Four... Four piles of miserable lies and failures..." Yamate mused, grinning as he simply dashed about on the spot, evading most every attack or blocking them. He was losing ground, sure, but he hardly considered himself to be in any serious trouble. These children did not appreciate just how over their head they were, or the danger that came with this battle. Or maybe they did and simply didn't care, which could be either admirable or suicidal. Growing tired of playing this game he stopped dodging, taking four strikes all at once from each of the fighters, with a blow to the head and two to the body as well as one to the leg. Everything combined managed to make him stagger, and when he lifted his head a small trickle of blood leaked from the corner of his mouth, but otherwise he was fine. "Let me show you just how meaningless your struggle is..." Crossing his arms before his head he began amassing Ki at an alarming rate, letting out a shout as he released it in a pressurized blast around himself, aiming to knock everyone away and send them tumbling.

Haku didn't know what Yumi expected of them or how they might help Kabocha. If he was truly hurt then they wouldn't do anything, neither of them had any medical training. He'd try to stem the bleeding if the wound was open, but aside from that he couldn't offer any help. Thankfully it looked like their friend was okay, going right back into the battle while only missing a beat or two. With the others off to fight that now left Shu under his care, which realistically was worse than leaving Shu on his own. Looking over at the young Prince he frowned when he started trying to run away, reaching out and grabbing his shirt to stop him. "H-Hey, they might need us! We can't r-run!" he said, quite obviously scared too. They might not have to run away anyways, it looked like they were getting a free trip courtesy of Yamate. Feeling the surge of Ki, Haku looked behind them just in time to see the concussive blast go off, gasping and hastily shoving Shu to the side into a building, getting tossed away a second after as he tumbled down the road, slamming into a container on the side and denting it before ending up in a heap on the road, groaning as he rolled onto his back.
Aw man, that stinks D: Well here's hoping to a speedy recovery for you! No rush on your end :)
"Keep Shu out of this you creep! This is between us!" Takeshi shouted angrily, taking another swing at Krom and missing. His little brother had absolutely no part in the battle right now, and if he got his way then it would stay as such. If he couldn't land a single hit though then he'd never get anywhere... Why was he struggling so much? He should be way stronger than last time, how come he wasn't beating this guy into the dirt? Watching as T'charrl was grabbed abruptly he tried to reach out and help, unable to get to his friend in time as the Kaesstrian was slammed into the ground quite harshly. Cussing loudly he wanted to try and get to T'charrl's side, but instead Krom was coming after him now to keep him away. Ducking under the first punch he let out a grunt when he caught a blow in the jaw, stumbling back and taking another hit to the stomach, managing to push away the next blow and try grabbing hold of Krom's larger arm under his own, hoping to trap the man as he began throwing hard right hands to try and pummel the man down.

Yamate loathed having to waste time on these three, but it looked like Krom was busy with Takeshi and that alien of theirs. The former squad was certainly trying, he could see where their training was playing in, but it wasn't enough. The simple fact of the situation was they were just too weak, no amount of training was going to bridge the gap between them; whether 3 or 30, these children couldn't hope to defeat him now, of that he was certain. Having taken a trio of blasts, he had decided to make his point more poignant as he stood at the epicenter, emerging unfazed by it moments later with nothing but a tattered suit of armor to show for it. Tossing aside the ruined cloth dismissively he glanced at the group, smirking amused when Kai argued with him. "They trained you, but if you were any good you would have superseded that training, become something more. I'm ashamed to say that even with those accolades you're nothing more than children, and that's all you'll ever be." Dashing forward suddenly he moved between the twins, smiling amused as he looked down at a stunned Kabocha. "None of you will ever amount to anything, you'll always be of lower status, just weaklings." Reaching out he grabbed Kabocha by the throat and lifted him off the ground, gathering Ki in his free palm before blasting the Saiyan point-blank, sending him flying back and away before he turned on the twins, trying to simultaneously kick both of them with a wide sweeping kick.

Things were escalating too quickly, as Ki was already being thrown around and people getting hurt because of it. Watching wide eyed as Yamate emerged from a blast unscathed, Yumi turned back to Shu as he continued to panic. "Just... Stay here for now, okay? Help them by staying out of trouble, and..." she began, pausing as Kabocha suddenly went flying past them and into a building. Looking at their friend in shock she turned her head to see T'charrl get slammed down, gritting her teeth and focusing again on Shu. "You two help Kabocha, then stay with Haku. I'm going to go help, okay?" Giving Shu's hair a gentle ruffle she placed a kiss on his forehead, dashing in after Yamate, managing to somehow knock into him and throw his kick off to miss the twins. In doing so however the King turned on her, and she only just raised her arms to absorb the force of his punch, getting knocked back away and wincing as she felt the impact make both arms ache quite a bit. "Come on you two, keep at it! We can beat him!" she shouted, gathering Ki in both hands and blasting it off after the King, cursing as he simply dashed to the side and she missed.

Holy crap that was a painful hit, but he was still alive. Why was he still alive? The King had enough power to blow entire planets apart, so blowing through one of them should be child's play. Yet once Kabocha had gathered himself together he glanced down at his body armor, astonished to see it burned away and his skin a bit red, but minimal damage otherwise. Why hadn't it gone through? Looking back at the fighting he watched as Yumi became involved, grunting as he pushed himself out of the rubble and rubbed at his throat, coughing from having it squeezed. Trying to get back into the fight he began walking ahead, stopping when Haku and Shu both came over, giving them a puzzled look. "I'm fine... Get out of my way, you two aren't helping so move," he said sharply, annoyed that he'd been replaced if temporarily by Yumi. He was a Saiyan noble dammit, and he should be part of bringing the King down, not her. Flaring up his energy he rushed past the other boys, getting back into the fight again himself.
Takeshi didn't want to wait for T'charrl to finish, they would just have to be careful not to hit one another. While the Kaesstrian had Krom on the ropes he went in for an attack as well, trying and failing to catch the man in the head with a kick. Growling in annoyance he dived right in after the fleeing Elite, throwing punches as well to keep him on the defense. "Common courtesy? We're here to kick your ass, not make friends!" the Prince retorted, throwing a quick jab and falling forward slightly as he missed, quickly jumping away and diving back at Krom's side, throwing a punch towards his ribs. They had beaten this guy twice already, and that had been when they were far weaker and much less experienced and less trained. If anything good had come of their imprisonment then it was the training, something that Takeshi was now eager to make use of to pummel Krom into the ground. T'charrl managed to land a blow in the flurry of limbs, but it didn't seem to do much as Krom barely missed a beat, continuing to fend them off. "Grr... Just lie down and die already!"

It was almost insulting that these three be sent after him, that they might think this trio of rejects could somehow cause him harm. Kai and Choi were fast, even Yamate acknowledged that, and Kabocha could be powerful in his own right, but none of them meant a thing to him. Even while contending with the speedy twins he had an easy time of dodging Kabocha's overhead blow, watching as the ground was broken into pieces from the force. Smirking in amusement he watched as Kai and Choi came back at him, each of them gathering up Ki in their hands. Extending out both of his arms, the King shot off energy of his own to counteract the blasts, looking dead ahead when he noticed a third blast barreling down at him, courtesy of Kabocha. While preoccupied with the other two blasts he had nothing free for the third, his smirk fading as he stood firm and took the hit, being engulfed in a massive blast and cloud as all three attacks converged on him. When the smoke and light faded from the initial explosion he walked out of the crater that had been formed, pieces of his armor missing and himself dirtied but otherwise unfazed and unharmed. "Pitiful... And they told me this suit was more durable..." he mumbled, frowning as he tore off the body piece and simply threw it aside, wearing now only the lower armor and a fitting blue shirt. "Is that all you three have? You managed to ruin my shirt, for what it's worth."

The fight was only started, but their friends were already going into it with the intent to kill. Fear was quickly being replaced by anger from what Yumi could tell, and everyone was determined to bring these men down. She should imagine so too, for all the pain and suffering they and their "empire" had caused everyone. This was all about revenge, there was no denying that fact, but it was also to save a ton of people from further harm, and ensure everyone here and now was safe. Looking back to Shu again she smiled sadly, going over to his side and kneeling down, placing an arm around him and pulling the little Saiyan to her side. "We can't let them leave, you know that, we're going to beat them first," she explained, pausing when she felt energies suddenly spike up. Seeing the twins and Kabocha firing blasts off at Yamate she quickly turned her head when debris was scattered everywhere, not having to look to know the King was unharmed by that. Frowning in slight disappointment at that fact she focused back on Shu, giving him a smile again, "Just keep an eye on them, in case we need to help. I'll be right here the whole time, don't be afraid."

Takeshi was ready to start pummeling Krom and his father, nut he was trying his hardest not to jump the gun. If he went in when everyone else wasn't prepared then it could be a big problem, best not to complicate things. In spite of his thinking this it seemed like not everyone shared that sentiment, as T'charrl was quick to leap into action. Well that was faster than expected, it looked like they weren't really coming up with any game plan. Fair enough, that was pretty much his style anyways. Grinning he dashed in after T'charrl, ignoring his father who stood by as he went for Krom. With his friend keeping the Elite backing up he decided to join in, weaving around from behind the Kaesstrian and waiting until he got an opening, jumping up and trying to kick Krom in the side of the head while he was busy, "Don't forget me dammit, I'm your opponent too!" he shouted, cussing as he only caught air with his kick, landing back on his feet before lunging ahead, throwing a series of punches as well, keeping out of T'charrl's way.

Kabocha really didn't want to be fighting the King, but being here before the man now they had little choice. With T'charrl going in after Krom too he knew they had to act, otherwise they'd risk something going wrong if Yamate was given a window. "Tch... Yeah, don't get hit by a man faster and stronger than us, no problem," he remarked, preparing himself as Choi and Kai shot off to get things started. Taking off after them he gritted his teeth seeing how easily Yamate was holding them at bay, seeming to never lose track of them as he blocked any incoming strikes with one hand. With the twins to either side he went right down the middle, giving a shout as he clasped his hands together and jumped up, slamming them down and missing as the King dashed back, creating a crater in the road with the hit. He was making this look easy, was he just messing with them?

"For now we just keep back, let them fight..." Yumi mumbled to herself, watching as her friends all rushed down the King and Krom. It wasn't easy sitting by like this, but if she tried helping now she'd only get in the way. It wasn't like she was without purpose now anyways, what with keeping an eye on Shu and Haku. It struck her somewhat odd that she was meant to protect Shu, someone stronger than her, but she'd not argue it. Glancing back at the pair and the alien she gave them a small smile, flashing a thumbs up as well to try and reassure them. "They know what they're doing, don't worry. We're going to win, just you watch." Glancing back at the battle going on her smile faded however, reaching up and rubbing at one of her ears nervously. None of their friends were fighting at full strength yet, but then neither were the King or Krom for that matter. They knew the two men were stronger, the only thing they didn't know was by how much; they had numbers on their side, but she knew perfectly well that there were just some opponents you couldn't beat, not always. Much as she tried to keep positive she knew how dangerous this was, and it was now far too late to have second thoughts.
Takeshi was very agitated this was taking so long, positive that more people were dying because of them. The whole point of being here was to fight the two Saiyans, why then were they trying to do that in the most roundabout way possible? Growling in annoyance at the whole deal he stopped when he heard someone racing down the stairs, turning around and frowning seeing a very worried looking Haku standing at the bottom. It only took a moment to tell everyone what he had seen, and without a word edgewise everyone moved out fairly quick to stop the alien from certain death. There was no communication between anyone, and yet Yumi, Kabocha and Takeshi all managed to coordinate a three part attack somehow, perhaps following one another's lead in going after Yamate. While ultimately their efforts hadn't done any damage they did manage to free the alien from Yamate's grasp, and Haku had quickly gotten the man away and into the building they'd been taking cover in. Well now they had their targets in sight, and despite the obvious threat of who the enemy was, Takeshi couldn't be any happier. A lot of grief and problems had been caused by these two, it was high time they were made to pay for it.

Yamate hadn't fully noticed the attacks coming at first, yet they had been simple enough to handle. If that was the effort they were going to be putting into their strikes then this wasn't going to be very much of a battle. Odd that his sons and their friends should be here, as like Krom he had expected the rebel leader, what with their proximity to Uuonoe. Had Korian not noticed their departure, or had he not even been notified? He had not expected this, though he supposed it wasn't such a bad thing; it had been a while since he'd seen either of the boys, and now was a good a time as any to test how much stronger they had gotten. Neither looked any more imposing than before, and in fact Shu looked like he was about to soil himself, but looks could be deceiving.

"If you mean Vegeta and Viral, they're busy. We don't need them to beat you two anyways," Takeshi answered bitterly, smirking as he stared down Krom, "We're here for him though, to kick your ass and make you pay for what you did to him. And when we're done kicking your ass we'll bring you down too," he added, glancing over to his father. Seeing the smug smile on Yamate's face made him quickly lose his own, snarling under his breath as he clenched his hands into tight fists. He couldn't wait to wipe that look of the man's face, he was going to be in a world of hurt when they were through. He just wanted to dive right into the fight now and get it going, but he knew what was planned and rushing in headlong wasn't it. Turning his attention back onto Krom he exhaled softly before wiping at his nose with a finger, his smirk coming back as he raised an eyebrow. "I gotta say... You look way different now that you're not all bloody and covered in bandages. Did you want to get beat by kids so bad again you decided to come out here?"

"Takeshi... Please, do you know how idiotic you sound when you speak sometimes?" Yamate asked, rolling his eyes as he folded his arms, "We're trained soldiers, we don't become enraged over childish taunts, certainly not ones as menial as that. I would have hoped you knew how to carry out proper antagonizing from your training, but seems like everything else you just managed to forget somehow. Here, let me show you how it's done..." Reaching out his left arm he began gathering Ki, aimed first at the group until he moved it to their right, firing past everyone and at the building where the alien had been in hiding. In a single blink of an eye it was gone, blowing apart into pieces of smoldering rubble as a tall pillar of smoke began rising up from its place. Feeling a few energies spiking up from anger, the King let out a curt laugh, turning back to the group amused. "If you can get into your opponents head then you can make them make mistakes, and that is the easiest way to ensure victory. You're all still young and naive, you can't control your emotions, and because of that," he began, pausing briefly to lean to the side as a blast was fired at him, "That will be the..."

Yamate had trailed off out of confusion, briefly losing his train of thought when he saw Haku in the back of the group, smiling at him. Raising an eyebrow he realized where the blast had come from, noticing the alien was behind the boy and not in fact in the building. But when had he come out? Hm, sneaky, but he supposed it didn't much matter, and it was better he didn't kill the man anyways. "W-We might be young... But that doesn't mean we can't fight..." Haku said, feeling himself get all clammy under the King's gaze, "Y-You're not going to hurt anymore people...!"

The King couldn't help but laugh at that comment, finding it both adorable and amusing that such a weakling would make such a bold statement. "The rat finds some new friends and suddenly he finds courage! Or is that false bravado, being surrounded by the others?" Yamate asked, grinning as he looking at every member of the group, "Numbers mean nothing to us, there could be ten of you or a hundred, the outcome won't change. I don't know why you came here or what you hope to accomplish, but each and every one of you will fall here today." If his sons truly wished to beat him then they would, they had the potential to do so. He would do whatever it took today to unlock that, even if it meant killing a friend or two of theirs. Sooner or later they would give up those bothersome connections and human emotions, embrace what they truly were and reach their power as a result. Reaching back and undoing a clasp on each shoulder he let his cape drop from his armor, sending one casual glance to Krom before holding his arms out to his sides. "If you wish to stop us, then stop us! Know that I have no use for you anymore, or anyone who fails me! I will not be kind to you, if you decide to go through with this foolishness. Fight and die, that is what awaits you. So tell me, are you still so certain you want to battle?"

"Are we certain? Hell no, but what choice do we have?" Kabocha spoke up, scowling as he threw a hand to the side angrily, "Even if we don't fight you're going to kill us, we know what you do to traitors! I don't know about everyone else here, but I'd rather die like a warrior and go down fighting then get shot in the back running." Just where in the hell was this coming from? A moment ago he was ready to let Shu and T'charrl take the brunt of the battle, but now here he was prepared to thrown down as well. Maybe he was realizing what a dumb idea it had been, or that realistically he was going to have to fight anyways. Whatever the case was he had made peace with it, and while frightened by the prospect Kabocha was ready to do battle. Smiling nervously he looked over at the twins, forcing a grin as he nodded towards Krom and Yamate. "How about it, you two ready? I think it's about time we show them what some regulars can really do."
