Takeshi was fed up with being yelled at, and being sent on a guilt trip. He knew he had screwed up, he didn't need someone else telling him that much. After slamming the door to Haku's room he made sure he had a good grip on Shu, shuffling along down the hall towards the younger boy's room. Of all he people to talk to him about how he'd acted now his sibling was going to as well? Letting out a long sigh he glanced down at his brother, stopping in the middle of the hall as he listened to what was being said. "I never said they don't try helping, and I never said they're not nice. I said I didn't want their help, I don't deserve it..." Takeshi replied, looking away as he cast his gaze to the ground, "If I hadn't screwed up and failed to protect you, if I had just been strong enough to keep the others safe, we wouldn't all be in the hospital right now. If I had been stronger then Viral never would have been taken, Father never would have hurt you. If I had been stronger..." None of this would have happened. They may have ended up in the war even if he was strong enough to prevent most of it, but at least no one would be warped and damaged by it. The fact that he seemed to fail in every instance when it really counted infuriated him, and made him feel incredibly guilty for all of it.

Getting mighty down on himself now, Takeshi finally got to Shu's room and slipped inside, going right to the bed and easing his brother down onto it. There was no one else in this room despite there being two beds, so it was just as well he stay here for the time being. Once Shu was set down he took a spot on the edge of the bed, leaning over the side as he folded his arms across his knees. "Shu... I'm sorry I've been such a screw up, and such a failure of an older brother..." he mumbled, closing his eyes as he shook his head, "I don't know how to act with family, or how to act with a sibling. I want to be a good brother for you but I can't help with anything. I forget, I try to ignore it, but I never help you. It's all my fault you're like this now... That everyone is the way they are... I just keep messing things up..." Opening his eyes partially he continued to stare down at the floor somberly, though he reached out and placed a hand on top of Shu's. "I don't hate you, I'm sorry for earlier, but I don't. And... I'll try to make things right, I swear. I won't leave you alone this time."

"Perfectionist has a negative connotation. It implies I'm never satisfied and overbearing," Vegeta remarked, straightening out yet another brick, "But... I suppose it doesn't hurt to make certain everything works ideally, that makes less work in the long run." Sub-par work meant repairs, regular checkups, constant maintenance, yet none of that was necessary for a while if the initial build was as perfect as could be. And sure, reaching that ideal took far more time and effort, but one couldn't argue with the final product. Smiling as he prepared another stretch for Viral, Vegeta stood up and rubbed at his back, chuckling when their father was brought up. "So I'm a lot like our father then, hm? I don't know, he seems more... Idealistic than I am," he responded casually, watching as Viral went about laying more bricks, "He has these higher standards and morals, and he seems to have an answer for everything. That's where we differ... Not to say I have no morals, but he seems to stand to them. Me on the other hand?" Giving a slight shrug he went about scraping off excess mortar, nudging just one brick this time to get it in line with the others. "My ideals and morals have changed constantly, usually for whatever suits me at the time. My only real desire is for my work to succeed and to further my own talent, both as an inventor and a warrior. Compared to his worldly desires, I'm extremely selfish."
It turned out that finding someone familiar with Machina was harder than expected. With so many folks in Galloway one would think they'd be a dime a dozen, yet after asking half a dozen or so likely candidates they had been unsuccessful thus far. There had to be someone here, Ethan reasoned, they just had yet to find them yet. Scanning the crowd with his golden eyes he furrowed his brow, positive they had ran across someone and just not known it. Should they make their search more public? Again that ran the risk of people getting wind of what they were up to, people they were trying to avoid. If someone wanted to hurt Cecil then they had to keep him away from those people, however they could. Nothing had come of their search yet, but if they kept plugging away at it then they were bound to find somebody.

Ethan frowned when Cecil spoke up, looking back at his friend disapprovingly. "Amuné is right, we're a team and we're friends. Plus you saved us, there's no way we can just leave you," he said, the corners of his mouth pulling up into a smile again, "Besides, it's just going to take a bit of searching to find you someone, that's all. It's hardly a reason for us to abandon you." This worked out in a small way too, as it would mean they'd become more familiar with Galloway itself. Once they did get Cecil his help, and they would, they could get to seeing Amuné clothed and washed up, as well as Wyth. Once they were taken care of as well Ethan figured he could pick up some more supplies, as traveling with three others now meant he had to carry a bit of a heavier load.

"Now come on, let's see if we can find us someone to help," Ethan said eagerly, smiling as he gave Cecil a slight bounce before walking back through the crowd. They needed someone who looked like they worked with machines a lot, someone who showed signs of... What? Being covered in oil? Carrying tools with them? What tools did a mechanic even use? This was where his serious lack of knowledge on Machina hurt, he hadn't a clue where to search or how to even recognize the man they wanted. Rather than ask every random individual they came across, the group simply moved along and kept their eyes open, trying to spot out any likely candidates. Despite the swarms of people here however, and the number of folks who seemed to be buying parts or inspecting new models on display, not a soul seemed to fit the bill.

Ethan had to take a break before long, finding that carrying Cecil was beginning to become difficult. It wasn't that he was awfully heavy or anything, but with Cecil's arms swaying about awkwardly it made him have to adjust quite often, and as such his back was getting sore. Finding a bench on the side of the road he first eased Cecil down into the seat, placing his hands on his back once they were free. "Oh jeez... That's gonna smart for a bit..." he mumbled, leaning back and groaning as he popped it a bit. Still no luck, this was becoming really troubling. Scratching at his head he closed his eyes in thought, trying to come up with some brilliant strategy. Maybe asking around in general for someone who worked with Machina was their only option, and they could handle whatever might come from it. Or maybe they could head to one of the stores that sold the simpler sort, albeit Ethan wasn't sure if anyone would know how someone like Cecil works.

"Woah... That a new model of Machina?"

Ethan turned back to look into the crowd for the source of the voice, tilting his head seeing no one looking in their direction. There was, however, a mess of blonde hair bobbing towards them in the masses, and in short time a man emerged from the crowds, beaming like a fool as he raised an eyebrow, spots of oil and grease all over his face and clothing. Giving Cecil an uncertain glance for a moment he turned back to the stranger, not totally convinced they should reveal their friend's identity like this. "Well... No, he's uh... Well you see..."

"Oh spare me the tales kid, I know a Machina when I see one," the stranger spoke, grinning as he pushed Ethan aside and stood before Cecil, squatting down to get a closer look. "Amazing... A synthetic model with fibrous flesh covering its frame... But what's this...?" Grabbing hold of one of Cecil's gauntlets, the man turned it over and inspected it carefully, appreciating the work that went into it. "I see... So he's an adaptable model then... But why the human-like features? What was hoped to be achieved by that? What kind of systems does he have? This is very intriguing indeed...!" Hearing Ethan clear his throat the man remembered himself, letting go of Cecil's wrist and glancing back, breaking into a sheepish grin as he stood upright and extended a hand. "Of course, where are my manners? I'm Norman Dieter, engineering extraordinaire! Or I would be, if the blasted mayor would give me that grant..." Norman mumbled, shaking his head before smirking, "Couldn't help coming to see that Machina of yours. Where'd you get him?"

This guy seemed... Nice. Certainly knowledgeable about Cecil, albeit that could have all been just complete nonsense and they'd be none the wiser. Ethan couldn't see a reason for this "Norman" to deceive them though, so he welcomed the potential help with open arms. "Nice to meet you Norman! My name is Ethan-" he began, getting cut off when the engineer spoke up again. Furrowing his brow curiously at the line of questioning he could only shrug his shoulders, scratching his neck as he glanced back at Cecil thoughtfully. "Well... We didn't get him anywhere really, Cecil kind of found us," he mused, glancing over at Norman again, "You seem to know about him, or what he is at least. Do you think you could help him? I'll pay, whatever you ask for, we've been looking for help for a while now."

"Help? What with? And you named him? Interesting... Well, he seemed structurally sound," Norman replied, turning his focus again to Cecil. Reaching into one of the many pockets of his belt he fished out a small digital device, turning a knob to turn it on before holding it out before Cecil. A few low resonating beeps could be heard every few seconds as Norman moved the device over Cecil's form, seeming to be searching for something. With a minute passed he finally stopped his inspection, examining the results as he rubbed at his chin thoughtfully. "Hm... Well seems like his issue is a faulty battery. The only thing I can detect like this is a shortage in his power supply, which is an easy fix. I can of course do a full, thorough inspection at my shop, but we'll have to get him there. Ethan, was it? Can you carry him for me?" Before he got an answer edgewise Norman was already moving, pausing only when he finally realized Amuné and Wyth were there as well. Huh, he'd been so fixated on Cecil that he'd not noticed them before. Smiling politely he squatted down before them, giving a small wave before offering his hand over. "Well hello little lady! Are you friends with Mr. Ethan and Cecil?"
"Well, we can... See if anyone needs anything? Probably a waste since the nurses are working on us," Takeshi mused, shrugging slightly before looking back to Shu, "Or maybe we should relax, that might be the most help." It seemed like anything he tried lately just made things worse for the others, but if he stayed crammed up in his room then he wouldn't cause problems. At the very least they could go and relax for their own sake, goodness knows he was sore and Shu likely was too. Managing to get to his feet and even pick his little brother up, Takeshi glanced back at the door briefly before asking how things were here, wanting to be certain the nurses weren't hurting Shu. "Good, glad to hear they're nice..." he mumbled, half-listening as he continued staring at the door. Only when Shu brought up what he'd done did the older boy turn his focus back, frowning before scoffing and looking away again. "They're being oppressive and smothering me, for what? Some small cuts? I don't want them hovering over me is all, okay?" he said, getting defensive fairly quickly as he spoke, "And I hardly did anything. If they thought that was mean then they have paper thin skin."

Yumi rolled her eyes at Takeshi's words, finding his behavior to be completely childish. Of course they were being oppressive, he was being difficult and they were trying to take care of him, what did he expect? It was like he'd never been in a hospital before. Pinching the bridge of her nose briefly she looked at the older boy impatiently, walking over and pointing in his face. "These people deal with who knows how many wounded on a daily basis, and yet they're still finding time to help us. How's about instead of making their lives even more difficult, you settle down for once and let them help? They're not doing anything wrong Takeshi."

"Except be annoying and overbearing, like I said. I have small cuts, I don't need-"

"I don't care what you need! They're just trying to help, so don't be such a jerk! Tell them off, or refuse them, you don't have to storm out of the building like a toddler who didn't get his way," Yumi continued, retracting her hand as she placed it on her hip. She knew the look he was getting now, angry but abashed, enough so that he wasn't going to say anything. Letting out a sigh she gave a shake of her head, gesturing back to Kabocha and Haku. "Look at them for example. Kabocha was fine until they tried feeding him, which says a lot."

"Hey!"

"And Haku's cooperated no matter what they did, because he doesn't want to cause trouble. So why do you have to make this harder for them?"

Takeshi opened his mouth to snap back at Yumi, yet quickly thought better of it and silenced himself again. He wasn't making it harder for them... Was he? If he wasn't around then they didn't have to take care of him, it should make their jobs easier. Were these people really going to get upset because a patient wasn't wanting their help? It seemed stupid, but now guilt was playing into it and he was beginning to feel even worse for walking out. It seemed like he'd upset the whole hospital this morning, he was really on a roll wasn't he? Giving Yumi a brief glance he promptly turned on his heel, holding Shu against himself as they went to the door, making their way out of the room. "I'll be in our room, okay? No more problems." Takeshi said, stepping out and slamming the door shut behind himself before heading off towards Shu's room, figuring he ought to stay with his brother now.

So maybe Vegeta's knowledge of masonry was... Limited, but he'd manage. Just by simply observing the aliens at work he could figure out how this was done, it wasn't terribly difficult to begin with either. Though he did his utmost to deny Viral's accusation at being a perfectionist, the Saiyan was very meticulous about laying their bricks, going so far as to make minute adjustments on the ones his brother had placed. Only once they were properly aligned did he seem satisfied, scraping off extra mortar afterwards to tidy up the wall itself. Out of the corner of his eye he could have sworn he saw Viral smiling, though played it off mostly because he thought he was just seeing things. "You would do fine I'm sure, I just simply took the job first," Vegeta replied casually, trying to play it off as he once more made incremental adjustments to bricks, "The only discomfort I have is the slight aching in my calves from squatting down like this. I assure you Viral, you're not causing me any discomfort." If anything he was causing himself more discomfort, realizing just how obsessed to detail he was being with this.

"Besides... This may be someone's home, or a busy place of business. We cannot afford to provide anything other than the utmost in terms of quality for the building, unless we want it having problems down the road." Yes, that was his reason for being so meticulous, not that he was a perfectionist. Thinking ahead, if they managed to create a perfectly stable and structurally sound building now then maintenance would be a cakewalk later, it made perfect sense. "At any rate... We should focus less on my... Tendencies, and more on completing the task at hand. They'll need this building amongst dozens of others, so its best we do our part to help with that."
"Cecil? Oh uh... Yeah, he's fine! He's just... Tired!" Ethan replied, smiling uncertainly as he carried the Machina along, "Turns out machines can get tired too, who knew? We just need to help him rest, then he'll be back to normal!" By rest he meant recharged, or given more energy, however the heck that worked. His knowledge of how Machina operated was next to zero, so helping out of their friend was going to fall to someone else's expertise. Now that they had reached Galloway, a fairly busy looking town, they should be perfectly capable of locating someone to give them a hand. That would mean asking around, something Ethan didn't have a lot of luck in the past with; given that this place was so busy, however, he was willing to wager there was at least one soul here who might lend a hand. "We'll get food too, and some new clothes for you. Don't you worry, I haven't forgotten."

Galloway was far busier than what he was used to, even with the small town vibe to it. Ethan had never seen so many people in one place before, it struck him as both odd and exciting to witness such a thing. So many vendors, so many people from all walks of life: if he wasn't here on essentially work then he'd explore a little, but that could wait. First order of business was finding help for Cecil, and once that was taken care of he needed to see to Amuné as well, and maybe even Wyth if the moorcat needed anything. Speaking of... How was her wound? It seemed fairly superficial, but it never hurt to check in, maybe there was more to it than he could see. Thankfully from what Amuné said it seemed like just a surface wound, which after a cleansing and some bandages should be perfectly fine.

"Okay then, so we'll get you patched up, then eat. After we help Cecil that is." They needed to be careful about how they asked though, given how uneasy people were about Cecil before. Machina were apparently not meant to look as lifelike as their friend did, so if they went around saying he was one then it might cause a fuss. Best to keep it vague then, Ethan reasoned, and only once they found someone to help would they reveal everything. There was certainly no shortage of people around to ask, yet again he should be selective with who they approached; if word got around that they were asking about Machina then someone might get suspicious, and goodness knows they didn't need more men in suits coming for them.

The first person Ethan decided to approach was a traveling merchant selling what he could only assume to be were Machina parts; fixings, parts, upgrades, he had a wide variety of assorted goods for anyone who owned a machine. However when asked about them in general the man could only shrug, explaining he just sold the wares and wasn't familiar with Machina. Their next bet was a blacksmith, a man who looked to be refurbishing some kind of strange, box-shaped machine. Questioning the old smith about their quarry didn't yield any results either, and nor did their questioning of someone who was even walking with a Machina dressed like a servant. Maybe just asking about randomly was their best course of action, especially if everyone Ethan thought might have some idea was completely clueless.

"I don't get it, someone should know something..." the Magi mumbled, pausing on the side of one of the busy streets. All around them people were hurrying around, the sounds of peddlers shouting and children laughing and screaming carrying well over everything. Being surrounded by so many people and so much noise made thinking a little tricky, as Ethan found out, furrowing his brow as he tried drowning out the sound. "So the smithy had no clue, and the man selling parts didn't either. Who else would know about Machina...?" Was there maybe a person here who worked with them exclusively? The man selling parts was just a vendor, and the blacksmith repaired them, neither was responsible for actually creating them. Maybe they should ask about people who built Machina then? "Huh... Amuné, figure there's a store for Machina?" Ethan asked, earnestly confused as he was unfamiliar with all of this, "Maybe if there's a place like that then we can find answers there?"
Whether Takeshi was fully into seeing Shu again didn't much matter, he couldn't turn away Shu the way he was now. That... And with the little guy throwing himself onto the older boy it wasn't much like he was going anywhere. Swallowing back unease he smiled slightly at his brother, chuckling as he patted Shu's head. "Uh... Well no reason to be scared anymore, we're all safe, and... I'm here," he said, glancing up uncertainly at the others before nodding in appreciation to Yumi, turning his attention back to Shu again. "That's good, I'm glad to hear that. Now uh... I can help too." Not that he had the faintest idea how he'd do that, he only seemed capable of messing things up for people. He couldn't even help his only brother, and now for the second time today he felt awful for his inadequacy. Grabbing a hold of his sibling, Takeshi got back up to his feet, gritting his teeth as he strained his shoulder before re-positioning the kid to make it comfortable. "So... Um... Are they being nice to you here buddy? No one's forcing anything on you?"

"If you're suggesting I'm prone to be too focused on minimal details then you're mistaken. I only prioritize efficiency, that's it." He wanted things done quickly and effectively, he failed to see what was so bad about that. Scooping out another helping of mortar he began to slather it along the tops of the bricks, making certain that no spot on the brick was too thick or too thin. Hearing Viral call him a perfectionist again made Vegeta's face flush, straightening out the first brick that was set down while trying to play it off. "I am not a perfectionist, and I dislike that term. It makes me sound.. Anal..." he said disdainfully, making certain the bricks aligned perfectly before... Oh gods, he really was a perfectionist wasn't he? Scowling at the realization he shook his head, grabbing the next brick and placing it down, his face growing even redder when he realized he hadn't put down mortar yet. "And you are not an animal throwing dirt. If you wished to do this part then you would do a fine job as well, I'm certain of it." Hmph, he was not a perfectionist. Looking at the wall as Viral placed down the next brick he let out a sigh of annoyance, spotting one of the bricks that wasn't flush with the others. Placing the tool down he placed a hand on the brick, easing it back into place meticulously. If they were going to work for these people then they had best be certain to do an acceptable job.
There had to be some way for Shu to sleep soundly, maybe some kind of stuffed animal? It seemed silly now, but plenty of little kids used them growing up, and Shu was sort of still a child. It couldn't hurt at the very least, the only problem really being who knows where they might find one here on Uuonoe. Maybe after they were done here she could ask one of the nurses, they should be able to help her find one, if there were any to be found. "I don't think you do bad things Shu. Maybe it doesn't always go how you'd like, but it's not your fault when that happens, and it doesn't make you a bad person either. Look, right now we're all around you, none of us are afraid of you or avoiding you. See? No one thinks you're a monster and no one thinks you're bad, and I swear that's the truth." Maybe the best they could do was convince Shu he wasn't seen as a monster, and the nightmares could be left to those always with him, or those that had some genuine understanding of how it worked. Moving to stroke the young Saiyan's hair, Yumi paused when the door opened abruptly to Haku's room, turning her head in surprise and seeing Takeshi there. No sooner did the other boy appear did Shu get out of her lap, literally crawling over to greet his brother.

Takeshi felt quite nervous over seeing Shu there, but he knew he couldn't run away again. Like it or not he had to face up to his fear of being attacked, a fear that even he knew was utterly ridiculous. Things went from awkward to downright depressing when his little brother started crawling over, evidently too weak to walk properly but desperate to see him, gods know why. After his display earlier towards Shu he was amazed the kid wanted anything to do with him, as he surely heard about it by now. Unable to ignore his sibling in such a state, Takeshi squatted down and opened his arms for Shu, blinking in surprise as his kid brother practically threw himself at him. Falling onto his rear he placed his arms around Shu in a hug, smiling slightly as he held him. "I... Went out for a walk, sorry... I should have told you." Though he was kind of asleep, and Takeshi had been too afraid to wake him. Glancing up at the others for a moment he felt his stomach churn uncomfortably at the mixture of confusion and scorn, no doubt in a fair bit of hot water for his actions earlier. Trying to play it off he chuckled faintly, reaching up and ruffling Shu's hair. "Glad to see you're awake buddy... How're you feeling?"

Vegeta's knowledge was admittedly a bit... Lacking, when it came to matters like this. Building a mechanical device was not the same as putting together a stable structure, something he quickly learned just by watching the aliens at work. Seemed like they alternated the direction the bricks were laid, but for what reason? More stability? Or was it simply aesthetic? Whatever the case behind it was he figured they had best replicate what was being done, as it was safe to assume these men knew what they were up to. Putting together a partial pillar first he tried to do exactly as he'd seen, satisfied with the outcome even if it wasn't completely perfect. "I suppose we should copy them, this seems to be their trade," Vegeta said plainly, glancing across the way to inspect what they were doing, "And... Yes, it does appear we tidy up the edges as well." Meticulous, but the finished project did appear quite nice. Using his tools he smoothed out the mortar along the edges, managing to bring it within a millimeter of the edge of the bricks themselves, satisfied with that. "Okay then, if you just want to keep laying bricks then I'll lay mortar, align them and clean it up. We can always trade if it becomes monotonous, seem fair?"
Would just not thinking about it make them go away? Was it really that simple? Yumi couldn't be certain, yet she felt like the answer was definitely more complex than that; if just ignoring it made things better then Shu, and Viral, would have been fine long ago. Instead of ignoring it they had to make it better, how they did that though... "Maybe... Maybe we can just make you think of good things instead? If you are always thinking about happy stuff then there's no time to think about bad things, right?" Though wasn't that the same? Just pushing it out of mind, did that really solve the problem? Ugh, she hated not having the answer here, she felt like at the very least she ought to be able to offer emotional support to her friends. Moving Shu to a position where he might feel at least some comfort, Yumi held his hands in her own, hoping it might settle him down a little. "You are most definitely not always a bother, you never are. Being friends and family means we help people when they have trouble, it wouldn't be right if we ever thought it was a bother," she said gently, "And more good things than bad happen with you, you just focus on the bad silly."

"Uh... She's right Shu... And I haven't even known you that long," Haku added, smiling slightly as he rubbed his hands together, "You always seem happy, and it makes us happy. Or... It makes me happy, at least." The young Prince's attitude was infectious, and there had been a few times already where just being near Shu had lifted his mood. They couldn't really explain that to him though, could they? He just had a way of brightening things up wherever he went, and for the most part befriending whoever he met it seemed. "We met on really bad terms, but... We're kind of friends now, I think. And my life is a lot better since meeting all of you, and you the most. Even when we weren't really talking you tried being nice, even when I scared you..." There weren't a lot of people who would do that, or who were nearly as forgiving as Shu was. T'charrl was definitely a close second, having been the one who was attacked the most, and between the two of them he felt like he finally made some friends. "You and T'charrl gave me my first friends I ever had... I don't see how that's bad."

"Believe me, I'm not just saying it. I'm fully prepared to restrain you if you try anything," Vegeta remarked, frowning as he started taking inventory of what they had. Laying out bricks, it wasn't an overly complex job whatsoever... So why did he feel the slightest bit of confusion? Construction wasn't his forte, but how different could it be to engineering? The same concepts applied, just make it structurally sound and try to account for any potential flaws, then again maybe he was thinking too much into it. Lay the mortar, place a brick on top, fill it to give it weight, rinse and repeat... Right? "Yeah, lay the bricks, and I uh..." he began, his face flushing slightly as he scratched his head, "Well... I just place the brick down?" Looking across the way for confirmation he noticed they were building the sides up first, and rotating the bricks' direction as they were placed. Hm... So maybe it was slightly more complex than he had given it credit for, good thing he'd checked. "Hn, simple enough. So we just lay down some mortar like so..." Vegeta mumbled, slathering some of the mixture down, "Then place two bricks, some more mortar in between... And then another layer on top. Easy! Got all that?" Really they just had to mimic what the other side was doing, and how hard could that be?

There wasn't putting off seeing the others any longer, not when he was already in the ward they were. Still though, who to visit first? Normally he'd go and see his brother before anyone else, yet the thought of being in the same room of Shu even now was a touch unsettling. Maybe someone else then, just to start. Not knowing whose room was whose he went to the first door, easing it open and popping his head inside only to find a sleeping T'charrl, promptly shutting the door after. Not there then, maybe the next one? Heading almost directly across the hall he went to open the door, pausing when he at first heard Yumi's voice speaking, then Haku's next. It was hard to make out what they were saying through the door, and it confused him as to whose room it might actually be with both of them in there. Those two he could talk to at least, even if Yumi was bound to smack him for being an idiot. Inhaling silently through his nose he gathered up the guts to face his friends, stepping in slowly with a faint smile on. "Hey guys, what are you..." Takeshi began, trailing off when he saw Shu sitting there in Yumi's lap. Getting somewhat nervous again he had to avert his eyes, managing to keep his smile as he rubbed at his neck uncomfortably. "Uh... Hey, am I interrupting anything?"
Hm, it didn't seem like Amuné was really wanting to answer that question, which was odd. Ethan couldn't imagine why she wouldn't, it wasn't as if it was especially personal or anything. It was fine though, if she kept quiet on the matter then that was her choice. "Well... Yeah, I guess he was bad since he attacked us..." he mumbled, still not getting quite why the girl had called that out beforehand. Maybe it was just how the man looked, for all he knew it triggered something in the little girl and it was just natural to be afraid. It didn't much matter now, they were a ways away from the enemy and ought not to run into him again, so long as they were careful anyways.

Between Wyth carrying Amuné and Cecil carrying Ethan, the group had made quite good distance in a short amount of time. With a hill just up ahead in the road one could see a bit of smoke coming up over the horizon, a sure sign of a fire burning away. Given what the map had said Ethan figured it had to be the town beyond the river, which hopefully meant a safe place to rest and get the others what they needed. There was a slight issue in their getting to the town however, as it seemed like Cecil might not be able to make it. Noticeably slowing down, Ethan opted to be let down and walk under his own power, hardly wishing to be a burden to his friend any longer. His own body was a bit sore from being battered by water, but other than that he was perfectly alright and capable of moving himself. But what about Cecil?

"Energy...? Uh... Well we have that..." Did they? What did a Machina use for energy anyways? Ethan vaguely recalled oil, but he was pretty sure that was used to loosen up joints, not for energy. If this town had something for Cecil to use then all the more reason to hurry up and get there; with the robo-boy looking a bit drained they might not be able to get there in time, if he was to walk. "Here, I got you, hang on," Ethan said with a smile, trying to ease Cecil up onto his back. For the most part the other boy wasn't terribly heavy, but there was definitely a notable heft to his gauntlets, making the Magi lean forward awkwardly as he tried to keep balanced. Once he had Cecil comfortably held he started up the hill, relieved it wasn't all that steep nor lengthy.

As they crested the top of the hill, Ethan was ecstatic to find they had indeed found the next town. Just down the other side and a few hundred meters away sat the village of Galloway, assuming that was the right one. It was a nice enough looking place, certainly bigger than most other towns this far out west. Even from here he could see all the buildings were made out of cut stone, standing out a fair bit against all the grasslands and plots of farmland that dotted the landscape. Carts were coming to and from the village even as they approached, with a few roads branching off every which way out of the town. A few strange glances were sent their way upon arriving at the town limits, but no one gave them any trouble, and it seemed like a friendly enough place. Now, hopefully they could find someone who might know something about Cecil's energy problem, and someone to patch up Amuné. "How bad is your shoulder, by the way?" Ethan asked, glancing over with a small smile, "I might have something for it, at least until we find some bandages."
"It's not a silly thing Shu, it's an honest problem. It's something we should try helping, we just... Don't know how." Or rather, no one in this room knew. Vegeta and Aito could more than likely come up with some semblance of a solution, but Yumi knew she was far too inexperienced and lacked any kind of training to even suggest an idea. Sure, she could offer Shu comfort when need be, but that wasn't really going to be a long term fix now was it? Frowning when Takeshi was brought back into the conversation, Yumi moved over to an empty seat and eased Shu over onto her lap, sitting down and smiling kindly as she rubbed his back. "He's coming back, don't worry about that." Hearing Shu out further however they got a bit of a clearer idea of what Shu meant; he wasn't wanting his brother just back here in the hospital, but back at his side. Did he really think the older boy wasn't going to be there for him anymore? That would explain why he was so worried and sad. "It did seem like you scared him earlier, or something did," Yumi mumbled, quickly looking at Shu and holding his hands in hers, "But he'll be okay, and he'll come back to see his brother in no time, just you watch! You two are much too close to let something like this split you apart, he'll come see you as soon as he gets back." If not then she'd go talk to Takeshi and make him come back. He could get over whatever was going on with him, his little brother needed him.

It was probably a bad idea to try joking around with Viral, seemed like he was taking everything far too seriously at the moment. That aside, Vegeta wasn't exactly used to cracking jokes either, and no doubt his humor was coming off as a bit dry and even harsh. Putting his hands up defensively when Viral snapped at him he smiled a little, giving a defeated shrug before heading over to speak with the crew putting together the building. No surprise they were all too keen to take some aid, as just one of them probably could do the work of the entire crew. After getting instructions, simple brick and mortar laying, Vegeta rejoined Viral off to the side. "I'll be very surprised if you get aggressive at any point. We'll be working on the wall opposite of them, get the job done twice as fast that way. And if I do see you try anything, don't worry, you won't be able to harm anyone." But enough of that, they had a job to get to. Moving to where a stack of bricks and a large container of mortar sat waiting, he deliberated on which part to have Viral do at first before ultimately pointing to the building blocks. "For now how about you lay those out, and I'll handle the mortar? Just get them in place and I'll align them and lay down the binding, and whatever else we need." Probably needed to put something in the holes of the blocks as well, which Vegeta assumed were the large metal posts piled up off to the side. Coupled with some kind of filler, maybe sand or even concrete, and that ought to do it for this job. Simple enough, if not tedious.

Takeshi stopped just outside of the hospital for a moment, looking up at its high, white washed walls with a faint sense of dread. If he went back in then he'd have to own up to freaking out earlier, to causing a scene, getting angry with the hospital staff and least of all freaking out towards Shu. Had everyone heard of what he'd done to Viral yet? He hoped not, or otherwise that was going to be another thing that would reflect horribly on him. He had a hard enough time as it was just trying to keep his friends around, and his blunders today weren't going to help that any. Letting out a soft sigh he begrudgingly went right inside, keeping his gaze off the staff in the lobby as he entered. Almost immediately a nurse came running up to him, and unlike before where he raised his voice he just let them take his hand, following silently as they sat him down and started to check his bandages. He had screwed up, he'd failed to keep his friends safe and even upset his brother, why were these people helping him? He didn't deserve it, not in the slightest.

"I'm fine... There's no pain," the Prince said, holding up a hand as a nurse tried to offer him pain medications. "I'm a Saiyan, it takes a lot more than some cuts to put me down. I won't run away again, but please... Just let me take a walk at least, I'm not in the mood to sit in my room." Nodding in appreciation when the nurses backed off he hurried over to the stairs, getting back to the floor where the others were being kept. It wasn't that long a walk back to the wing they were in either, so he should be there in just a few moments. What did he even say though? Sorry he upset everyone and screwed up? Oh, and sorry for making Viral even worse, he couldn't forget that one. Feeling pretty somber about the whole deal he looked around when he finally got to the proper wing, stopping shy of the first room and biting his lower lip uneasily. Should he try seeing Shu, or was he just better off actually heading back to his room?
That had been a close encounter, but somehow they'd managed to make it out of there without anyone being seriously hurt. Ethan almost wanted to laugh over the whole ordeal, feeling foolish for trying to do it alone and relieved that everyone had gotten away. Even the man attacking them was alive, a welcome sight given that Cecil had proposed killing anyone who might attack them just earlier in the day. "Good way of seeing it, Cecil... But still, thank you. I really appreciate it." Nothing worse than unnecessary loss of life, even if they were fighting with someone. You could win a battle without having to take someone's life away, and a small part of him hoped that maybe, after losing, that man wouldn't come for them again. It was probably wishful thinking, but perhaps by showing they didn't desire to kill him, and they weren't bad people, he wouldn't bother attacking again.

It was odd to see Amuné so tired as well, though he was positive she'd not used any magic during that fight. In fact, he hadn't seen her use any magic since they met. Was she even a Magi? It didn't much matter to Ethan whether she was or not, he just simply wasn't sure one way or another on the matter. "Glad you're okay too, Amuné..." he answered back, smiling as he flashed her a thumbs up and smile. She'd even been attacked and yet got out safe, save for the one small scratch she had on her arm from the ice shards. That would be easy enough to fix, and there should be a healer in the next town who could patch her right up. Looking back to the young girl as she spoke something struck Ethan as unusual, and it wasn't that an 8 year old was lecturing him. She was telling him to be more careful, obviously in reference to the man who had attacked them, but then this wasn't the first time she'd said that was it?

"Hey... Earlier, you were yelling at me to get away... Why?" Did she just have a bad feeling about that man? Sure, he wasn't the friendliest looking of sorts, yet he couldn't just ignore someone because they didn't come across as the nicest of folks. Sometimes you could get a pleasant surprise, goodness knows he'd met some people on his trip that he'd been happy to find were great company. Before he could get a response out of Amuné, Cecil started to speak up about being low on energy, or getting tired. Hard to say with a Machina, but it just sounded like he was getting exhausted. Nodding to himself Ethan gave his friend a pat on the shoulder, smiling as he pointed up ahead, "The town should be just up over that hill... I think. Just stop at the base of it, then I'll carry you for a change, alright?" He was getting carried an awful lot by Cecil it seemed, it was only fair he give the other boy a chance to take a load off. It wasn't like a Machina was going to be all that heavy anyways, right?
